The way matcha is most likely considered a failed attempt at making another dark enchantress cookie by the witches is very reminiscent of how stardust and many of the wizards' other creations were considered imperfect and thrown away because they didn't match exactly what the wizards had in mind. A/n: i apologize for any inaccuracies in the chapters of this story, i don’t feel like rewatching the episodes that i’m writing. plus i find it easier to insert Milo when i’m being a bit inaccurate. i promise, i’m not trying to be better than creator of demon slayer cause i’m not

A girl with a muzzle in her mouth started to crawl out of the box, making Zenitsu’s shrieking cease.

The girl hummed as she grew to her normal size.

Milo gasped, a smile grew on her face.

“Tanjiro, she’s so cute! Who is she?!” She asked, a bright smile on her face.

“She’s my-“ Tanjiro started, getting cut off by an ominous voice.

“Tanjiro. First Milo. Now this girl. Did you join the demon slayer corps just to get cute girls??!!!” Zenitsu shrieked, chasing Tanjiro around the wisteria house.

“You ought to be ashamed of yourself!!!” Zenitsu screamed.

“Zenitsu! She’s my-“ Tanjiro tried to reason with the blonde, only to get cut off once more.

“I don’t wanna hear it!!!” Zenitsu yelled.

Milo and the girl watch the boys running around, the aforementioned girl flinching when Inosuke starts yelling and chasing both of the other boys.

Milo sat up, cat ears on the top of her head and a tail swaying.

She hadn’t realized that her neko features were no longer being repressed.

“Milo?” Tanjiro called out and Milo hummed in response.

“Why do you have cat ears and a tail?” He asked and she frowned.

“Dang it.. just as I was getting good at suppressing the neko spirit.” She muttered, annoyance in her voice.

“Neko spirit?” He asked and Milo nodded.

“Yep. I come from a long line of neko spirits on my mom’s side. Basically I can turn into a cat, have cat features, and suppress said features.” She explained, then transforming into her cat form.

Tanjiro looked at her with love struck eyes. ‘Just when I thought I couldn’t be more impressed with her..’

Milo transformed back, not hiding the ears and tail.

“I guess there’s no sense in hiding them no more.” She spoke sheepishly and Tanjiro nodded.

Zenitsu walked into the room, his eyes go wide. He gasps loudly and runs to Milo, grasping her hands in his own.

“Just when I thought you couldn’t get even prettier!” He exclaims with a smile.

Milo inches away from him uncomfortably, her ears going down.

Tanjiro pulled her back, getting in front of her.

Milo’s tail instinctively wrapped around Tanjiro’s arm, causing him to blush slightly.

Milo’s crow flew down to her, a letter tied to his leg.

He landed on her arm and she untied the letter, a feeling of dread taking over her senses.

“Who’s it from?” Tanjiro asked, noticing the smell of dread emanating from the girl.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

“It’s from my aunt Aika.” She says, then starts to read it, her eyes scanning over the paper.

“She’s telling me about a guy she met, she recently became a hashira, his name is Giyuu Tomioka and he’s also a hashira.” Milo explained, giggling softly.

“That name sounds really familiar, Giyuu Tomioka.” Tanjiro said thoughtfully.

“Hm.. why’s that?” Milo asked then Tanjiro remembered why the name, Giyuu sounded familiar.

“Tomioka san found me and Nezuko after our family got slaughtered by a demon.” Tanjiro explained, sadness in his voice.

“Oh.. I was saved by someone who matches Aunt Aika’s description of him perfectly.” Milo says, a puzzled expression on her face.

“It has to be a coincidence that we were both found by the same hashira..” Tanjiro mutters and Milo nods.

“GO TO MOUNT NATAGUMO!!!” Kuro, Milo’s crow, yells to Tanjiro, Milo, Zenitsu, and Inosuke.

The 4 of them look up at the crow, then follow it in the direction of the mountain.
