“i don’t think he’s what you think .. i don’t think he’s dead.” ★
SIMONNNN !!!!!!!!!!! Pretty sure he doesn’t have a green lightsaber in the book but whatever /j
okay even though the actor looks nothing like how simon was described, i still think he did an amazing job with simon, like he just has that “I Know Something You Don’t.” odd guy kinda vibe
obviously, it’s different from the book and the ‘63 movie, but it was still good in its own respect
simon is still the little lizard boy, JAGER MOMENTS?!?!, the cursing actually added to it a lot- I enjoy it a lot more on the second and third watch compared to the first
I REWATCHED THE 90S MOVIE OF LOTF RECENTLY AND I FORGOT THEY WERE AMERICAN AND SO IT WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A SHOCK THAT THEY WERE AMERICAN AND MILITARY BOYS AS WELL?????
ANYWAYS YOU SHOULD WATCH IT TO MAKE FUN OF IT LMAO
The difference between 1990 movie jack and book jack is probably the funniest difference between book and movie that i have ever seen. book jack is a pissy catholic loser who everyone hates. he’s the world’s soppingest wettest failboy. he sucks ass at being a girlboss, his empire is crumbling so bad.
(click to read bec i didn’t want this post to take up 3,000 miles)
contrast this with 1990 jack, who is the epitome of 80’s Bad Boy Cool Guy who everyone loves. he cussed ralph and piggy out and as soon as he left ralph’s camp everyone followed him.
book jack is my catholic son who has a lot of bitter rage and violence festering beneath the surface. 1990 jack is boy regina george
how the fuck did they combine a scene in chapter 4 with a scene in chapter 8. that is genuinely ridiculous. so much happens in between the fire going out and jack leaving the group. lotf has 12 chapters. you can NOT do that
It drives me mad that neither the 1963 nor 1990 Lord of the Flies film includes the dialogue of the final scene in the book. Literally one of my favorite parts in when the officer asks who’s in charge and Jack shies away and Ralph takes ownership… after just being chased to death by everyone led by Jack.
i really wanna know who went into the board room and was like guys guys, lord of the flies, but they can s w e a r and why everyone else was like fuck tim, that’s so genius
The difference between '63 and '90 Jack is so funny. Like on one hand you have a bizarrely refined young man who you WILL think is cool even if he commits literal war crimes, and then you have this blonde bitch who throws the weirdest insults you can possibly fathom
