It Never Ends

Being homeless is tough. Being a homeless teen is even harder. My 16 yr old has had a rough go of it. She stayed at her friend's house all during 10 grade. We hardly ever got to see her. When she heard that we finally have a place to live, she was excited.

Her school told us on several occasions that regardless of where we move to, she can still go to that school. She loves the school. She's on the marching band and is in the writing club. She doesn't want to transfer.

The school told me this week to send in a copy of our lease to update their system then everything would be fine. Suddenly, I get a call this morning saying that she can't go there anymore and she has to transfer to another school. They said if I wanted to apply for school choice they new school would help with that. They also told me to get it done before Wednesday when they have the next school board meeting. So their stupid asses lied to me all week and then dumped this on me on a Friday and expect it to get done by Wednesday. I have no access to a vehicle during the day and I am disabled.

So, I spoke to the head of the transfers at the new school. He has no clue where Bethy's school got any of the bullshit they were shoveling.

I am so ed up with Laurel High School. Those idiots have no clue what they are doing. If Bethy didn't love the stupid school so much, I would happily take her out. That kid is on the marching band and loving it.

Why are such incompetent idiots allowed to run a school?

I have been ranting to @helly-watermelonsmellinfellon since I spoke to Laurel High.
