So, in case I haven't mentioned recently, Daffy (Duck) is my favorite. Not favorite Looney tunes character, not favorite duck. He is my favorite character ever. I may not write as much about him, but I hold him dear in my heart: He is cute, he is funny, and he has a very special place in my life since I was a little little girl.

However, there is someone who I find so aggressively cute that he can steal Daffy's spotlight in my heart, at least for a moment.

He comes into the scene, and I am like:

LOOK AT HIM HE IS SO CUTE!!

MY TINY ALIEN VILLIAN BABY! HE IS SO ADORABLE AND SO VILLAINOUS

HE IS SO AGRESSIVE YET SO SOFT SPOKEN AND POLITE, AND LOOK AT THAT OUTFIT! HE IS PEAK CHARACTER DESIGN, JUST PERFECT!

Yeah, I don't think Daffy would appreciate that Marvin can steal his thunder just by existing.

Bugs (completely skipping the insinuation of romancing the girl) "Usually I'm the girl in the relationship"

Back in Action is good baffy angst, I feel like this movie sorta of plays with the formula and how it could affect the characters.

The "Why am I talking to you for?" Is an acknowledgement of lt and how it can be a bit unfair and frustanting for Daffy.

And because Bugs can't break the formula, he can't challenge this statement. Bugs can't be suddenly more vulnerable or reveal his feelings in a more serious manner. But by doing so he kinda loses the argument

We know Bugs cares, we saw it; but Daffy doesn't. And through the whole movie Bugs is trying to get Daffy back and he gets it, while simultaneously getting Daffy to be a hero. So Bugs "wins" there, but loses the other more important argument because he can't get out of character even though he does care

Anyways, whacky of these writers to put these toons in a bit of introspective and suddenly there's a truck full of pain, haha
