Those fucking cupcakes ruined my life too haha 🧁💕 You know, when I started writing that at the beginning of COVID, which I cannot believe was almost THREE YEARS AGO, I really thought it was going to be an only child. I literally have given up on telling myself that I am not going to start another WIP and have just allowed myself to follow the inspiration where it wants to take me. I very much in an truly insane fever dream have written 120k words of a new WIP in the last month wtf is my life. But seriously, thank you so much for the support! And that goes for literally all my readers! This past year hasn't exactly been stellar for me (the last couple, really), so having these fandoms and these communities really have made a difference in the quality of my mental health, including the wonderful, amazing friendships I've made from them too (you know who you areeee). We're all WIPs ourselves, aren't we? Writing has really become such an incredible form of a coping mechanism for me, so it's absolutely amazing for y'alls out there to get something out of it too! Tell me again anti arguments aren’t seated in deeply entrenched homophobia.
So I just found a post.
Like the flaming type of douchebag it takes to make this kind of post, not only do they make it in a critical tag that will turn it up -- without a protective cut or warning -- in a main tag but they explicitly choose to stir the shit by planting it in the main ship tag.
But wait, there’s more!
This person is legitimately out here spontaneously arguing with canon about it because, oh no, Claire might be gay. But how could she possibly be gay? In her few adult episodes she didn’t spontaneously start humping girls. We like, saw her fighting stuff. Obviously that means she must be straight. Why would she happen to get a crush on THIS girl? It makes no sense!! Don’t lesbians have to like, want to scissor any woman that crosses their path? The math doesn’t add up, Carl!
But it gets better. They’ve been compulsively reblogging DreamHunter posts to shit in them, but have some key highlights on their logic.

DreamHunter can’t possibly be canon because if DreamHunter is canon that would make Destiel canon and we just can’t stand for that!!
Ironically they have a “Destiel” tag in their bio but the funniest shit is this leading in with, you know, cramming LGBT down people’s throats, with a whole three boldly confirmed characters in the show. Or, perhaps, either 1 (Charlie) or 5 (+Cas and Dean) by their polar logic.
Funny how that works.

Above receipts minded, it’s totally unsurprising that, with my linked post considered and pointing out the authorial parallels of one ship to the other, that they decided to throw Destiel under the bus to argue too, while unwittingly elevating it.

Let’s argue devil’s advocate. “If DreamHunter is canon so is Destiel,” okay, that’s 5 main-ish queer characters. Will they accept Crowley as canon queer or is that “not canon” to them either? 6? (reaches, wiggles fingertips out of reach) NYYEEHHH! So... close!
How many recognizeable (not one-off, side screen, lol oh look a bartender roles) have existed in this show? 50? You know, counting recurrings like Benny and Bela and whoever. (If we stretch it to include things like “Vince’s Band Mates” which is technically recurring, there’s about 176.) (this smaller, less updated wiki misses some early characters beyond Amara, doesn’t even have the S11-14 characters, and still says 91, but also doesn’t flood out like “Bart’s Assistant”)
Do people realize that the modern CW target demo of 18-34 varies from lower end identifying 52% queer and older end identifying 34% queer?
That means one in every 2 or 3 people in the target, modern, not primeval generation ping somewhere on the Kinsey scale. Having 1-in-15 (and that’s being generous -- do we get to include Crowley?) isn’t exactly shoving anything down anybody’s throats. It’s admitting we exist a little bit.
And again, spare me like “But there were those gay bartenders cupid shot” or “there was the hunter husband episode” that never got touched on again. Again, one off characters and/or the equivalent of greyface NPCs - if we have thousands of those, if you’re pulling on maybe like, 10, you should already realize you’re spraining something from the reach.
Chill. Nobody’s shoving anything down your throat. Queer people do exist. We exist a lot more than Straighties want to believe. But your heterosexuality isn’t being attacked just because maybe 1-in-15ish people might ping queer as actual faces on a show.
(*1-in-15ish comes from the 91 number. It becomes 1-in-23ish if we use the 176)
In other news, this is a clearly straight-identifying person (they pulled “I have gay friends” and not “But I’m gay too”), but let us never forget the above cited quotes from Berens are discussing what Goldstien politically addressed as “the attack queers,” a conservative-leaning demographic often coded to internally phobic narratives which -- while allowing them greater ability to communicate to the phobic edge of the straight audience and open that venue -- he realized he almost sounded like he was defending.
He is aware, for example, of how to deal with this conservative audience, and how to use their method to gain “disproportionate presence in the media” above more liberal methods he personally agrees with the narrative of but to the resistant audience comes across as a “litany of scolding and sermonizing,” but at the same time doesn’t condone the actual narratives --
In fact the very ability to be aware of this lets us know that Berens, above many others, is wholly aware of internalized homophobia on top of politically sublimated homophobia from the hetero community and what measures make progress for them to “accept” things gradually, even if they’re not at all concessions we want to make, which he addressed as a “valuable service,” even if, again, he by no means agrees with the actual crude bullshit that comes out of their mouth.
Both things can be true. People who think they’re being supportive can actually be problematic, but severely problematic people may actually be able to reached by middle ground problematic people in a gradually diminishing scale of problematic, rather than feeling preached at.
And then there’s those, like our OP, who even if they get the gentlest, most easily accepted (WLW is more culturally saturated than MLM and thus welcome [we can breakout-discuss fetishization vs representation another time]), most “inoffensive” to the delicate (because if they HAD kissed, they’d be yelling that the gays were ruining things again by kissing [and of course, without the fetishization, however will the people who want to whap to it feel it was complete?]), simply have no intention of releasing their homophobia, falling back to his quote.

Before you ever try to tell anyone what is or isn’t canon, most explicitly an author that already told us before the fated line that it’s what he wanted us to see (ironically by using his and Dabb as his co author’s previously penned moments for the other LGBT ship you tried to throw under the bus as direct mirrors), you might want to do a quick tap in and make sure that author didn’t psychically write an article 15 years prior pointing out how your opinion makes you a raging douchebag that has proven to be intentionally non negotiable.

1. What season did you start watching Supernatural?
I started watching 2005 when the very first episode aired on German television. When someone had told me back then that I would still watch this show 12 years later I would have died from laugther because after watching the pilot I was like ‘wtf was that??!!’ But I tuned in for the second episode and then for the third and the forth and soon I was pretty addicted to it. And I still couldn’t escape lol.
2. Who was the first character you fell in love with?
I loved Dean from the very beginning because he was just adorable and smart and hilarious and yeah damn good looking. But when Cas entered that barn I stopped breathing and I really really fell in love and I knew this precious angel is the best thing that could’ve ever happened to the show! And to me! And to Dean ofc.
3. Who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love?
I don’t know why but I didn’t like Rowena that much in the first episodes but that changed quickly! I love her so much!! Yup, ‘love’ not loved because she will be back ;-)
4. Which character would you most want to be in a long-term relationship with? Hmm I can’t take Dean or Cas because they belong to each other so I take Sam. Besides I believe that only Sam really is long-term relationship material and he would make a perfect boyfriend, sweet, smart, caring & loyal :)
5. If you could go on a date with just one character, which one would you choose? Probably Dean so I could tell him to finally pull that stick out of his ass and kiss Cas already!!
6. What would you do on that date?
Already answered that :) Oh but of course we would have really good burgers while talking! And a few drinks. And maybe after that date with Dean I would meet up with Sam so we could make a concrete plan how to bring Dean and Cas together.

Oh god and all the moments where Jareds teases Jensen about Cockles and Destiel!! (...umm let me just... leave a link here to my Shipper!Jared Video.... ahem)
28. If you were going to guest star (or be a recurring guest star) on SPN, how would you want your character to be described? Rie wrote ‘some hunter that goes on that bullriding date with Dean and gets him to drunkenly admit his feelings for Cas’ and yes sign me up this is perfect!
29. What do you hope to see in the next season? Cas being back!! But first I need to see Dean mourning Cas’s death, I need him to realize that Cas is gone and that he’d never told him that he loves him back...I need him to regret that he missed the chance to be happy, I need him to understand that it could have been so easy all the time if he just had told Cas... And when nephilim Jack finally brings Cas back I need a very long and desperate hug, and Dean stroking Cas’s cheek, and Dean whispering that Cas is not allowed to ever leave him again because he needs him, because he loves him, and then they kiss and everything is just perfect and Sam, Dean and Cas live happily ever after all together in the bunker, hunting together and watching movies together at night and now I’m crying and I need to read some fluffy fanfic.

Supernatural Survey
1. What season did you start watching Supernatural?
I started watching July 3rd, 2016. I started watching from the pilot and finished the finale of s10 on August 19th (11 wasn’t available to view yet).
I only know the dates because I made a Facebook post the day I started (I think it said “Amanda is watching supernatural season 1 - I think I may have made a terrible mistake …”) and one of my first Tumblr posts marking the day I finished. 12 was the first season I watched live.
2. Who was the first character you fell in love with?
I think it was Dean by about ten minutes or something. I’m pretty sure Dean’s cocky “Easy Tiger,” made me say “Oh, no,” shortly before whatever Sam said or did that made me say, “Yeeeah, I’m in trouble.”
3. Who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love?
Um, don’t hate me. Kevin? My first watch-through I found him incredibly whiny and ungrateful for a while. Then he started growing on me and I would call him ‘Kevin’ when he was annoying me and ‘Tran’ when I was proud of him. The second time around, I was able to be much more sympathetic.
4. Which character would you most want to be in a long-term relationship with?
This is hard. My answer surprised me because it might (gun to my head) be Sam. I always thought I found Dean *slightly* more attractive (again, gun to my head). And character-wise I love them equally. I guess I just think Sam and I would work better together in a long-term relationship.
5. If you could go on just one date with one character, which one would you choose?
Since I picked Sam for the other, can I say Dean?
6. What would you do on the date? Lol idk, see an old movie at a drive-in theatre?
Something tells me Dean would enjoy the classic combination. I’d love whatever. I’d want him to be able to relax and be himself - see that ‘little kid’ side we get a glimpse of every so often. Maybe I could find some way to let him know he’s so much more than just his good looks?
7. Which character would you most want to be like?
Donna? I love her so much. I guess I see myself in her, but she’s *more so* idk. Her sweetness. Her bubbly personality. She’s not afraid to get personal. She’s been hurt, but she doesn’t let it make her hide who she is. She’s got a strength that usually takes people by surprise because she’s so nice, they think she must be soft. She likes doughnuts … She told Dean freaking Winchester to stuff it.
8. Which character would you most like to see brought back from the dead?
If you’d have asked me this before the finale I’d have said Gabe. I don’t think bringing him back would cheapen his death (or continue to cheapen deaths on the show in general) because we were never sure whether to believe if he’d really died anyway. After the tangled mess of the finale (I’m including Eileen in this) I’m really not sure how to answer.
9. Which character would you most like to punch?
If by punch you mean repeatedly before handing her over to Sam to finish off and Sam is under some spell that allows him to give her the kind of death she deserves but he doesn’t have to feel too bad about it afterwards (idk a justice spell? That could be a real thing)- Toni freaking Bevel. That woman is a psychotic monster. I loathe her. Story time, 12x1 was the first episode I watched live. So I had to make myself be super quiet because I couldn’t rewind or rely on subtitles like I had been doing when the show would make me yell at the tv. The first commercial break I apparently yelled, “FREAKING BITCH!” so loud my mom heard me from upstairs. She thought it was hilarious. This was before the mind rape even happened.
10. Who is your absolute favorite character?
Nope
11. Which “Big Bad” do you think was the worst?
There are the villains I love, the villains I love to hate, and the villains I loathe. Spn has some of all three. Crowley is the scariest, I think, because he’s the most intelligent and devious and they keep forgetting he’s a bad guy, but I love him. Lucifer is probably the most evil, and most powerful, but I like him as a villain. Metatron was probably the one I hated the most (Toni couldn’t be called a big bad, I suppose, even though I hated her the most of all).
12. Which character are you most like?
It’s funny how many similarities I see in both Sam and Dean, but I think it’s prolly Donna. She’s more badass than I am, though :)
13. What death hit you the hardest?
The first time Sam died was hard because Jensen is too good at his job. When Dean died with the MOC Jared’s reaction gutted me. I knew they were coming back in those instances and what made it hard was witnessing the pain of the other. Bobby was the same in that I was sad to see him go, but they did him justice, I thought, and the hard part was seeing Sam and Dean go through that. Charlie’s was brutal. Charlie was probably the first time I’ve ever cried because someone died more than because the people left behind were sad. Not that the guys falling back and acting like they couldn’t bear to go in that room didn’t help sell it.
14. What season finale hit you the hardest?
Season 3, maybe? I don’t like hellhounds. I should; I typically love everything dog related, but hellhounds freak me out because of how much I don’t like to watch that scene. Then, Five was beautiful and so sad. I already mentioned about the season 2 and 9 finales.
15. What are your ten all-time favorite episodes?

Oh, I don’t know. Um, maybe five?

Besides Cas, I really liked Gabe, then Samandriel and Balthazar.
18. Who’s your favorite demon?
Ooh. Um Crowley obvi. I really loved Ruby as a character. I know there’s the pesky betrayal thing, but her banter with Dean is beautiful, she did keep Sam alive when Dean was gone, and I think in her twisted demon way, she really cared about him. Even if you believe everything before was an act (I could debate a couple points) the things she said after Lucifer’s cage was unlocked sounded like she really believed she, Sam, and Dean were going to be reconciled somehow and live happily ever after. I also liked Meg as a villain and reluctant ally.
19. Who’s your favorite evil character?
Besides the ones I’ve already mentioned above, I love Rowena (as far as villains I love) and Abaddon (as far as villains I love to hate). I also loved Dick because without him we wouldn’t have had all the amazing dick jokes (I have a very simple sense of humor, I won’t apologize)
20. So you have any supernatural ships?
SamxSarah, SamxEileen. I always thought Dean and Bela would end up getting together, although it would have been mostly physical and wouldn’t have lasted long. I always wished Dean and Lisa could have made it work. I know, I know.
21. Who’s your favorite supporting actor?
The heck am I supposed to answer this?
22. What’s your favorite quote from the show?
Again, say what? I’ll give you a few. “Are you under the impression that family is supposed to make you feel good … They’re supposed to make you miserable! That’s why they’re family!” “Do I look like a ditchable prom date to you? … Family don’t end with blood boy.” “I am your flesh-and-blood brother … Believe in that … You gotta make it stone number one and build on it.”
23. If you could cast one famous actor in an episode of SPN, who would you chose?
lol Tom Hiddleston! Why not? Angel, demon, hunter, he could fill any of the above and nail it.

I’d like to see a black dog or kelpie. That would be awesome.

When j2 played with the delay in the screen behind them to make it look like there were an infinite number of j2’s turning around. That’s funny and adorable. Um, when Sheppard got asked by the little girl about Crowley’s demon deal. When the crowd did the thing with the candles for Jared. When Jared or Jensen pretend they agreed to pay the person who asked the question.
28. If you were going to guest star (or be a recurring guest star) on SPN, how would you want your character described?
I basically wrote myself into an episode in devils’ trap. I mean I’m definitely cooler in the story than in rl, but my favorite is the respect and esteem Sam and Dean show when regular people (civilians) rise to the occasion when confronted with the supernatural. That’s the kind of character I’d like to play.
29. What do you hope to see in the next season?
Better writing. Continued character development. Monster of the week episodes.

Kardashian has posted a full ab workout, including seven moves with 10 reps each, on her app. As YouTuber Michelle Khare noted while trying the routine, balancing on top of the BOSU ball increases difficulty and engages your core more than if you were to perform these moves on the ground.
"It feels like I'm doing it on a waterbed," Khare says while doing sit-ups.
She works out with a trainer that she is comfortable with.
Gunnar Peterson has worked with several members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Kim, Khloe, and Kendall.
"I've known Gunnar since I was 15. My mom would take me to school, but I would have to go early for her training session, and I'd see Puff Daddy, Jennifer Lopez, and Cameron Diaz. So when I was like, 'I'm going to [start] a fitness routine,' that's who I called," Kardashian told Women's Health.

She has also told USA Today that she prefers trainers who are funnyrather than strict or militant.
"I like you to push me and motivate me, but I'm paying you so don't f------ yell at me," she joked in an interview with USA Today.
The Kardashians make working out a social event.
Any follower, Snapchat friend, or "Keeping Up With the Kardashians"fan will know that the sisters share fitness as a top priority. It makes sense, then, to share their workout routines as well.
Having a workout buddy can help with accountability and motivation, especially when you're exhausted — or even hungover.
Kardashian has said that she embraces the competition that breeds between herself and her sisters.
"I always thought that Kourtney was like a little bit of a p---- in the gym so I would never work out with her, because I'm a beast in the gym," she told Entertainment Tonight. "But now we've worked out together and I'm like, 'Kourtney is badass.'"

"I love Soul Cycle, hot yoga, circuit training, obstacle-type things,"Kardashian told USA Today. "I don't like to do the same workout all the time."
Kardashian has also been known to substitute typical cardio workouts — like running, her "least favorite thing" — with boxing.

She uses full-body moves throughout her workout routine.
As many of us know by now, spot reduction doesn't exist. In fact, a 2013 study found that targeting a specific part of the body does not produce fat loss in that area. Working out can reduce your overall body fat, but you can't control where it comes from.
Both Kardashian and Peterson are well aware of this fact. One workout routine that they shared with Women's Health reveals her use of multi-faceted combinations — like the "Renegade Row to Mountain Climber," which engages your core and arms while incorporating cardio.

"Combination movements will give you the most bang for your buck,"Peterson told Marie Claire. "I have nothing against tricep kickbacks, but I'd rather have you do a skater's lunge with a kickback and get a lower body workout. Instead of just a lateral raise from the shoulders, think about a side lunge to the lateral raise or a squat, so you're getting more effort out of your body for the movement you're putting in."
She doesn't use lack of equipment or access to a gym as excuses to skip a workout.
"You don't need a gym membership or a trainer to work out. There's a ton of small, relatively inexpensive equipment you can buy to create your own home gym," Kardashian wrote in a blog post.
Kardashian revealed that she keeps a kettlebell set, yoga mat, and jump rope (all available on Amazon) in her garage. She told USA Today that she always travels with a jump rope.
"I love jumping rope. I love to hate it. [Trainer] Don will say, 'In five minutes, you need to do 800 jumps.' I was like, 'That's easy,' but no, it's the hardest," she revealed to Health. "I'm drenched, and I can't breathe, and my arms hurt, but for me it's a full-body workout."
However, as Peterson notes, many of Kardashian's workout moves can be replicated at home with small adjustments — even without classic gym paraphernalia.
"Don't let lack of equipment be your reason for not doing it," he asserts in the video above.
Peterson suggests using everyday objects like bags of sugar, water bottles, or milk cartons if you're missing dumbells — "whatever you have at home to create the resistance."
She wears a sauna suit during cardio sessions.

"I hate running, but I'll run the trails in my neighborhood and wear a sauna suit that looks like a garbage bag," she told Health. "You take it off and it's like a pool of sweat. It's all water weight, but it's a good trick if you want to de-bloat. I up my water intake when I do it."
It's important to note that this practice is not necessarily recommended by experts. Dr. Charlie Seltzer told Cosmopolitan that wearing a sauna suit "doesn't make sense."
"The likelihood of overheating and dehydration is huge, and death is the worst-case scenario. And if you make up for all the water you're losing by drinking more, your stomach will feel sloshy and full, which can impact quality of your workout," Seltzer said.
She uses the DB Method to sculpt her famous derrière.
The DB Method is an at-home workout machine designed for non-impact squats to strengthen your spine, tone your body, and make your butt firm.
"A booty sculptor that you can easily fold up and store out of sight? Yassss, please," she wrote on her blog.

"I was inspired to create the DB Method after working with a trainer who taught me how to effectively target my glutes; it changed my body and the way I work out forever. There wasn't a machine out there to mimic this positioning, so I set out to create it," founder of the DB Method Erika Rayman told Brit + Co.
She focuses on the mental and emotional benefits of exercise.
Kardashian has billed "Revenge Body" as a transformation show — but not always in the way that you might think. For her, losing weight is secondary to feeling confident in your own skin.
"For me, how I would define a 'revenge body' is how you feel your sexiest and happiest within yourself," she told USA Today. "I turned to working out [after my divorce], because I needed clarity in my brain and I didn't know what else to do but go to the gym. And, as a byproduct, I started losing weight."
In fact, the reality star doesn't even weigh herself because a number doesn't "define you."
"I think to be happy comes from within," she told Entertainment Tonight. "There's so many miserable people that are thin and they're hungry."
