the thing about korvo is that he limits himself to being only something that he himself can be, only out of the feeling of being inferior and underachieving. he over-aligns himself to the role of being mission leader and feels as though he needs to succeed at this One Thing he was told to be or else he has nothing to show for himself. terry is the exact reverse of this, where he feels inferior in his role as the pupa specialist compared to korvo, so he distances himself so far from that role that he tries almost everything else instead

this single focus vs group focus mindset comes back once more: korvo needs to be an individual and stand out on his own in order to place his identity, whereas terry feels the need to blend in and become more like the people around him (humans)

Because of your question about Spirk drawing suggestions: How about Spock and Jim watching the stars together? Jim is talking about how beautiful they are and Spock listens, even if he wouldn't really understand what kind of beauty Jim sees in them. Spock is fascinated by there scientific side, but Jim loves there looks and the feelings he associates with them (the unexplored space, new life and adventures). But the longer Spock listens to Jim talking about it, he eventually understands his point of view (even if he couldn't feel it exactly like Jim, but he understands it. And seeing Jim being so happy about something makes him happy too). I think they would sit there together looking at the night sky just being immensely happy and in love.

Hi! I'm not sure if I can give good (or clear) advice but I'm happy to try!

I mainly rely on squares and rectangles just to get the vague impression of a 'hand shape' that way I can just let my brain fill in the rest? If that makes sense

Looking at pictures of hands and then simplifying them to the bare minimum works really good (for me at least) to build familiarity and then being able to understand which parts of the hand can move which way and such. I really just have fun with it, I've sort of conditioned myself into not worrying about hands since middle school after years of drawing hands strictly behind backs HSHDBSJS

These are some examples from recent sketches where even if I just winged it but there's still a (sort of) structure there!
