Idk if I'll mention this in the AU itself but Scourge x Ashfur is actually a poly of Scourge, Ashfur, Ravenpaw, Bone and Brick

Sol is dating Little'cloud and Blackstar, which took a while, especially for Little'cloud who knew all along that Sol was manipulating Blackstar, but Sol loves their bfs

Longfire is very much a thing and I love it so much

Mapleshade, Snow'tuft and Freckle'wish have been a thing for as long as anyone can remember

Ivybreezeant got together a few months Antpelt was killed

Flamejaykestrel dance together a lot in the dream world

Tallstar is the reason the Windclan has gay rights, he is married to Barkface and Jake

Pine'star and Goose'feather married once they died because Goose'feather was finally comfortable enough to be married since he didn't have to deal all of his mental problems now

Blackstar has missed several apprentice naming duties or had them late because Sol and Littlecloud (mostly Sol) were tired as shit from a gathering/moonpool meeting/etc

Barley doesn't know of Raven'paws relationship

Mapleshade has adopted all the gay dark forest cats/trainees as her children

Antpelt will cling onto Breeze/Ivy non stop

Scourge and his bfs are the whole reason Ruggie knew what polyamory was at first

Ravenpaw will just walk into meetings that Scourge is having, give him a kiss and take a short nap on the couch Scourge has in his office and Scourge is 100% fine with this

Darkstripe and Tigerstar's first date was breaking into Starclan and stealing food, very romantic

jay'feather really likes stuff like rings and necklaces cuz he can fidget with them so Flame and Kestrel go and make him so fidget necklace and rings and Jayfeather loves them so much

Berry'nose was so flustered when he was asked to join the poly because behind that big, jock exterior is just a blushy bisexual who didn't know his joke-y flirting would go anywhere

Longtail had to go and meet Jake, Tallstar and Bark'face when he first started dating Fireheart/star and he was so nervous but they liked him pretty well

Blossomfall and Mistberry are the most recent couple in the series, only getting together a month before the canon takes place

So, the first kiss of a dark forest cat to a living leaves a marking, well so do more after that too so now Breezepelt and ivy'pool have more black spots on them then anything, which they actively encourage

Lionblaze is dating Toadstep and Lionblaze hypes him up so much and its just the cutest

Frecklewish brushes Mapleshades hair despite her protests

Snowtuft makes sure that any of the dark forest apprentices have the best clothes for any of their dates

trying to find a Firestar ship that isn't widely talked about was hard, cause I wanted to challenge myself

but then I decided;

Firestar x Leafstar

so, in this AU, Sandstorm and Firestar are only friends

though for clarity’s sake; she still goes with Firestar to save SkyClan

also no ‘being in love with a dead doctor’ weirdness

through saving the Clans, Firestar and Leafstar start to bond and become very close to each other [that part of Firestar’s Quest is relatively the same outside of no FireSand and Lead and Fire becoming very close]

the two are fast friends with a stronger underlying relations

when SkyClan is deemed safe, Leafstar is heartbroken to see Firestar leave

she asks if there’s any way SkyClan has a chance to live among the Clans once again

Firestar thinks about it before agreeing

instead of having SkyClan stay at the gorge, Firestar and Sandstorm lead SkyClan back to the forest, telling the Clans about the injustices SkyClan faced in the past

though there is some discomfort - Blackstar and Leopardstar arguing against keeping them - they manage to flip Blackstar through the skillful act of guilt-tripping [with help from Littlecloud] and SkyClan joins the forest

Leafstar and Firestar find themselves still spending plenty of time together, the SkyClan leader turning to him every time she has any questions

they are unquestionably close

issues arise with SkyClan as they begin accepting kittypets into their ranks, which confuses the other Clans

Leafstar states that how she runs her Clan is up to her and that these cats offered their loyalty - and with SkyClan’s numbers as they are, she was willing to accept the help

Firestar backs her up

Tallstar is hesitant at first, but in the end decides that SkyClan is allowed to run however it wants, especially since WindClan isn’t strangers to homing non-Clanborn cats

Leopardstar finds it an annoyance, but with Sasha and her kits in the Clan, she doesn’t find any reason to fight unless SkyClan becomes ‘too much of a problem’

Blackstar is the only one consistently against Leafstar’s Daylight Warriors

even then, they don’t argue

whispers begin with Leafstar becomes pregnant, as she has no mate [openly] and the tom she spends the most time with is Firestar

she states the father doesn’t want to be named, but that doesn’t stop the other Clans from whispering

this eventually ends up into a topic at a gathering, with Blackstar accusing Firestar and Leafstar of breaking the Code

Leopardstar follows this up with the trouble Graystripe caused, which ends up with Stormfur and Feathertail speaking out against Leopardstar’s words

this ends in a large fight that is ended as storm clouds over the night sky

the Clans separate, though a couple nights later the leaders all come together to talk

they come to realize just how ‘common’ cross-Clan relationships are;

Bluestar with Oakheart - Silverstream with Graystripe - Tallstar’s former relationship with an unknown tom [Jake] - and Leopardstar admits she’s felt strongly for cats who weren’t born with RiverClan blood, though she refuses to elaborate further

after some time, they agree that - with monitoring - perhaps they could work something out about relationships across Clans

this ends with Leafstar and Firestar announcing they’re mates but literally no one is surprised

they are the test couple for this

Leafstar eventually has her kits;

four mollies and a tom [dark ginger, brown and ginger, brown and cream tabby, flame-colored tabby like Firestar, and brown tabby]

Firestar is brought over so that the two can work on naming their kits together - the tom, a brown tabby, is named Nutmegkit [Harrybrook] - the dark ginger molly is named Squirrelkit [Squirrelflight] - the brown and ginger molly is named Stormkit [Stormheart] - the brown and cream tabby molly is named Skykit [Leafpool] - the flame-colored tabby is named Flarekit [Firefern]

not long after they’re born, SkyClan gets a new warrior - Sol - who joined after hearing stories of the Clans

[Sol drama goes down and he leaves but he promises he won’t go down quietly - he will go on to meet up with Darktail and his bf helps him cause Clan drama]

as the kits are weaned, Leafstar and Firestar need to decided what they’re doing about their kits

Firestar says three can stay with Leafstar, just to be fair to her as the mother

she likes these terms

Firestar goes home with Squirrelkit and Skykit

Flarekit, Nutmegkit, and Stormkit stay with Leafstar

the siblings all remain close and Leafstar and Firestar work together to form sibling playdates so that they’re not alone

when TNP comes around the chosen cats are Tawnypelt, Feathertail, Crowpaw, Brambleclaw, and Flarepaw

the lake territories are better split

Firestar and Leafstar’s kits full names are; Squirrelflight, Skypool, Stormheart, Flarebloom, and Nutmegdapple

do I like them: I love Cinder of course, and I like Holly well enough

good qualities: Cinder was optimistic, hard-working, empathetic, and compassionate. My memory isn’t very fresh on Holly but she was very unique and offered an interesting perspective.

bad qualities: Cinder was a bit dismissive, Holly was a bit of a hypocrite and obsessed with the warrior code. 

favourite episode/etc: My favourite moment with Cinder was when she continued to help Littlecloud and the other one (lmao) even when she was told not to. My fav holly moment was when she let Sol go despite everything he’d done

otp: I don’t really ship either of them with anyone lmao

brotp: I LOVE Cinderpelt and Fireheart’s friendship so much, they were real buds. As for holly, I liked her and Ivypool’s mutual understanding.

Just thought of this idea for a background ship for the fic

What if.. sol not only manipulated blackstar into falling in love with him, he also did the same with littlecloud, admittedly with alot more poking and prodding.

Then sol actually started to fall for the two and doesn't know what to do cuz it was originally meant to be an act to fhck with everyone but now he doesn't ever wanna let these bois go and he actually loves them and he's worrying and it's this whole just slow burn but the slow burn isn't really slowburn??

Sol just walks up to his bois, flopps onto them, says I love you and when they day I love you back that's how he knows that somehow, in a round about way, he found his lovers.. somehow
