I think I read before that you often listen to music when you’re writing. Do you have any specific songs for any of the ROs?

Well hey anon!

I listen to music a lot - every word of BL has been written with some tune or other surrounding me.

I have a couple of Buried Love playlists here.

But songs for particular characters? Yeah I have a couple (watch me try to fight the urge to write a thesis on this....)

I'm writing a lot of Catarina's story at the moment and the song I listen to when I'm doing that is 'Obsessed' by Ina Wroldsen and Dynoro. It's in LITG S2 and I love it so much - but there's some hints to Catarina's story in there...

One of my Abe songs is Iron & Wine's version of Time After Time. Yep. It's soft hour. The lyrics are just perfect for him tho.

An Alex song is 'The Wolves' by Ben Howard - Obvious? Yes? But it's the lyrics and the meaning that gets me. It sums up his disenchantment with the world that was supposed to be his family. His safe place. It's the opposite. It's cruel and violent and he wants nothing to do with him. He wants to find that space to live in that is pure love.

For Aayush I often listen to Heal by Tom Odell. 'Take my past and take my sins' 'and tell me some things last' ...beautiful...and captures the fact our vampire boy is trying to heal from past events, and trying to find something to hold onto.

I'll leave it there for this post but tysm for the ask. I'll maybe do some graphics with some of the song lyrics I associate with each character at some point soon!

The Starry Night? 👀 do tell…

So, The Starry Night is a fic I've planned for a while, and really want to start writing soon–as I have a full outline almost–but I always run out of time!

The general idea though is a modern AU Noah x MC fic, where Noah is older, famous and very wealthy. His beloved wife passed away a couple of years ago, and so he's also a single dad to his son – and he's very lonely.

Then one night, after one too many drinks, his good friend Lucas convinces him to try being a sugar daddy (yes I know). Noah just really wants someone to talk with, and gives it a try by signing up online, resulting in him meeting "Ina"...

It'll be from both Noah and "Ina"'s POVs, and feature some other litg characters of course. If anyone's heard me talk about a sugardaddy!Noah fic, this is it 😅

Also can't talk about The Starry Night without mentioning that @nerdferatum and @moderarato both helped in its conception!
