Everyone in Dominion was wearing such thick plot armor that after the fourth or fifteenth time characters didn’t die when there was a dinosaur trying to kill them directly in their face, their faces literally inches apart, I couldn’t suspend my disbelief anymore.

However. The plot armor save that pissed me off the most was when Owen didn’t get eaten by Feather Butt.

They’re standing on ice that’s cracking because they just crashed a plane onto it. They can barely move without the ice cracking. Feather Butt here dives below the ice (looking gorgeous) and circles in the water (a queen). Owen falls into frigid water. Feather Butt goes in for the kill. Watts (the woman with Owen) pulls Owen out of the water.

Yeah. You heard me. She’s standing right next to the spot Owen just fell through and pulls a man who weighs more than her out of the freezing cold water just before Feather Butt can eat Chris Pratt. Sorry, Owen. Watts’ plot armor is so thick she doesn’t fall through the ice and Owen’s is so thick that he doesn’t even shiver after the whole ordeal. Seconds later, they’re both on their feet and sprinting across the ice, which miraculously holds their weight even though it’s visibly cracking beneath their feet (to that catwalk in the background). They escape (none of the eight main characters dies in this movie).

Feather Butt should have gotten to eat him.
