i remember you did a post about lisa about how she needs to be careful about getting into controversy and she has been having backlash from knetz for performing at crazy horse in Paris, also some Chinese actresses who went to support her are getting backlash in china with one of them getting edited out of a show. 😩

Yes, she's likely to continue to have backlash about some things that she does unfortunately, esp when the contract negotiations are coming up. There may be more "negative" news about Lisa to try to pressure her to go a certain way.

I’m curious if you’ve heard about Lisa’s (from blackpink) show run at Crazy Horse in Paris? Idk if recording or anything will be allowed, but I’m actually quite excited to—hopefully—see footage and reviews from that. Despite whatever controversies that might surround blackpink (of which many stem from misogyny, both explicit and implicit, but whatever), I have actually always rooted for her and enjoyed her as a performer.

With all of that being said…I would so love to see Jimin do something more dance and performance-centered. I think he’d do so well in that setting and I would like to see it 🤷🏾‍♀️

Anon, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I didn't know about it, I googled it and this looks interesting. Such a fun project for her and a bit out of the box after that Blackpink tour. It is exciting! I don't follow Lisa's career closely, but I think it's cool she's taking on such a project.

I'd love to see Jimin more focused on performance and dance-related projects. It's always such a pleasure to watch and we're getting excited over a few seconds clips on IG. So there is need and demand, hahaha.

Idols who have a background in dance and are actually trained and have a talent for it should pursue this direction or have it nurtured as best as possible.

I’m so glad Jennie’s doing so much with her solo career now, same with the other blackpink girls (i remember seeing Lisa with the South African singer Tyla and the Crazy Horse thing too, Jisoo’s busy acting, Rosé’s doing her modeling and probably other stuff up her sleeve, etc).

I feel bad for saying this, but she seemed really burnt out mentally when she was with YG and what I mean by that is that clearly the contract that they were under was quite restrictive with what the girls could do and how much music they could make, so much so that people started to look at BP as just models posing as kpop idols and started sending hate. It didn’t help when the T*ennie thing happened and they both got dragged through the fucking mud (especially Jennie coz his solo fans were ANGRY) and she really just seemed so done. I don’t blame her for that. But now we see that she actually wants to do so much with her music career and seemingly likes being a kpop idol in her own way (and clearly the hate from some toxic a*my’s hasn’t deterred her from collaborating with HYBE artists. I won’t put that on the whole fandom, but a lot of Tae’s akgaes (solos) are convinced he can’t make choices and has no freedom in life. Some of them even think that she paid him to be seen with him in Paris, so that she can gain popularity for her “failing career”, not knowing that they’re implying that he’s a escort lol). I wish her the best and I can’t wait to see what she does next! That rhymes lol.

oh i definitely agree, in the last few years jennie was clearly not happy to be at yg and she was obviously longing for more freedom! and this is true for all the pinks but i think jennie especially cause she would bring up in about every since interview that she was working on new music and wanted to release it. im so happy that now she actually gets to do that!!

and yeah i was pleasantly surprised to see her with a hybe artist cause that means sm has a chance fjsjsjsj (need that jennie x ty collab NOW!)
