DEFODION — A gender tied to the feeling of being buried, planted, or otherwise existing beneath the earth. It may feel suffocating or crushing like the weight of soil, or freeing like the slow return of one's existence to the earth around them. It may even drift from one to the other as one finds and accepts their identity. This gender might feel eternal and perfect but hidden, or slowly becoming one with its surroundings, returning to the natural order.

transadromos 🐟

a gender modality related to transitioning in one direction and then another.

root word is “dromos” meaning “to run,” specifically from “anadromous” and adjacent terms which refer to patterns of fish migration. anadromous species include salmon and some species of sturgeon. these fish are born in freshwater rivers, swim down to the ocean where they mature, and then return to their freshwater home to lay eggs.

someone who identifies as transadromos may feel that they are transitioning “back” to a gender state that they previously left, or venturing to a new one.

Random question: Do any other coiners who queue post get ansty about terms getting posted, or get kind of restless about them still being in queue and not going up? Welcome to my gender-y blog 💛

A couple more things to know about me: I'm nineteen, sometimes I coin terms (check the "#my coins >:0" tag to see em), and I BARELY know how to use tumblr 😭 I mostly hang out on discord and instagram these days, social media wise!

I don't have a DNI, but some things I'm not a fan of are queer exclusionism, art theft, online fandom spaces, and self deprecating jokes.
