Mythaura Age of Use Policy Update
Starting today, March 1, 2023, Mythaura users must be 16 years of age in order to use the site and/or participate in the Discord community. This policy will be enforced starting immediately.
Article 8 of the EU's GDPR forbids collection of data from anyone under the age of 16. The GDPR sets a general age of consent at 16, which means a business cannot "legally process the data of a data subject 15 years-old or younger." In cases where you work with the data of children under 16, you can only process the data with permission from their parent or guardian.

We have updated our About Page with some more info about the game and features we have planned. There will be even more updates to this page as we continue to develop Mythaura’s core features.
Feature Spotlight: Elements
Mythaura is a world of magical creatures, each born with two elements. These cosmic elements are mysterious and powerful, imbuing the beasts of Mythaura with abilities that give them unique powers.
The first element is based on their species. For example, Griffins have the Air element, granting them incredible flight speed and agility. In addition to their species element, each beast is also given a second element that is cosmically-aligned with the time of day they were born. When both the species element and the personal element of a beast are the same, both the strengths and weaknesses of that element are compounded.
Elements are an important part of the day-to-day life of all Mythaurans. They are part of each beast’s identity, can determine what sorts of jobs they are well suited for, and can turn the tide in battle.

Beast Sizes
Each beast species in Mythaura has standard ranges for height and weight; a beast's size is determined at birth, influenced in part by genetics from its parents, in part by other non-hereditary factors. All beasts will always fall within this predetermined size range: as shown in the example below, the largest adult Basilisk will never be larger than the smallest adult Ryu.
All beasts will receive stat bonuses and penalties based on how they size up against the species's average size, and can use these stats to strategic advantage in battle.

Beast Design Contest
We’re back with another Beast Design Contest! We’re looking forward to all the fantastic creations that this community comes up with.
Here are the parameters:
Each individual can submit one (1) Beast option for consideration
Any species fine (babies included)
Fill out Google form; provide both a picture and the preview code
We’ll pick three winners to have their Beasts featured on the front page for Quarter 4 (April 1 -June 30). Winners will also receive:
1x Beta Key

1x Quarter 3 (2023) Companion: Shimmer Kelp-Dancer
These rewards will be applied directly to your account.
Submissions for the Beast Design Contest are due by March 15, 2023. The form will close at 11:59pm PST. Winners will be announced in the April 1, 2023 Development Update.

we are! after a few conversations with mod cryptic (and me finally graduating from university and returning to lioden) we've decided to return in full-force!
so what does that mean for you? well... we're currently working on updating our blogs theme! if there are sudden colour changes, or the icon moves around, or if one of our buttons is no longer functional, feel free to reach out and tell us!
we're also introducing a new page to this blog entirely for guides regarding each months currency and storylines, with links to the wikipedia pages as well as providing some of our own tips and tricks for general gameplay, the market and more! (this may be condensed into an entirely separate page too)
what's important is that we really want to emphasise that we're back and we're still a salt blog! we want to listen to the player bases ups and downs with the game and provide a safe, healthy outlet for the community to vent as they see fit.

Things Lioden has the right idea about that would be really nice to see in FR, but won't for [insert reason]:
- Having an "official side account" (i.e. an account linked to your main and you can quickly switch back and forth from your side to your main, but you can have only one)
- Having every Friday have an update of some kind, with 1 Friday a month (or was it every other week? every 2 weeks?) being dedicated to a big update
- Official site raffle with big name items except everybody can only buy one ticket each (can't recall if this extends to side accounts, but in general since side accounts are a Site Promoted Thing, you probably can technically buy two tickets so everybody has a theoretical 2 chances to win something)

- Custom apparel (decor), but you have to at least *try* to match the site artists' style. Custom apparel goes through the same vetting process as skins would on FR.
- A 'giving tree'-type area where people can throw out or leave things from their hoard voluntarily and other people can pick them up
- User-made shops you can still see items from in the "auction house" equivalent on Lioden but you can also get to them through the user profile

Sorry, this is gonna be a yapfest. You don't have to read it, lmao.
What's everyone's bet on how long LD will last?
Like let's be for fucking real rn, it's not got a lot left. Especially because of some theories I've seen floating around about how Xylax may be quitting/retiring soon. Even IF there are replacement artists, I doubt the game will last long.
I'm giving it 5 years tops, 2 years before the game becomes generally unplayable, and an additional 3 years for the dedicated player base to attempt to keep the game alive.
My theory is that the Owners/Devs aren't working on lioden as much because they either just straight up do not give a damn about what happens to it so long as people keep buying gb, or they plan to abandon it either way. Don't even @ me about how we still are getting game updates. Remember Ochre powders, and how they were so poorly thought out that it destroyed the RL market? (I do love the item, don't get me wrong, but come on bro at least pretend you pay the slightest attention to your own playerbase and market trends in your game) let's not even talk about Leopard tails, that's a whole separate argument right there.
Like between the cesspit that is the main chat, the lack of mods (and lack of willingness to pay them), and the way the market is starting to mirror the patterns of market crashes. Name me 1 lion that you can actually get its value for. (Excluding original, fresh rls) Nothing, absolutely nothing bc even if you price something fair, you'll only get lowballs.
Hell, even the artist side of Lioden has such a broken market with how literally ever single newbie under cuts prices just to get ahead instead of, I don't know, following market trends and pricing accordingly to quality?
Anyway I'm done with my rant.
TL:DR
We are all definitely fucked when this game finally breaks.

my focus is breeding nadirs and ebonies, and that is what I hope for when I rollover. so much so, that I don't really feel that happy when I get a mutie?
anyway, i might possibly give away the one on the right. if I'm not happy with them, someone else might be. the one on the left might be used for my ebony breeding project, but I am not sure.
i did breed a nrlc (1/7/22) a few days ago and i love her! she's just missing the skin, eyes, and three markings I believe. i wasn't expecting to have her born, so she's all the more a pleasant surprise to me.

What an incredible turnout we had for our second Beast Creator Contest, thank you for all your submissions! These entries were so much fun to look through and it was really difficult to only pick three designs, but we’re happy to announce the winners of our September 2022 Beast Creator Contest: DeepSea Dragon, Swiddy_Swooty, and Pandalion!

I like to apply RMA’s to my carrier line to cheaply fill marking slots and possibly add higher tier marks. Unfortunately, this means the wolves inevitably and invariably become fucking beige.
I’m thinking I want to narrow my focus and really set my intention on my carrier wolves. I have a significant stockpile of event apps that so far I’ve almost exclusively used for my leads. I think it would be a nice way to pretty them up without spending a ridiculous amount of GC. I’ll play with some scries in the wardrobe and post some before and after pics once I settle on designs :3
