The problem with BOTW is that it's obnoxiously popular in the LOZ fandom to the detriment of other games but also unfortunately it's genuinely really really fun to write fanfic for.

had to do a long drive back to school today so for no particular reason here are the bad kids gas station roadtrip snacks:

adaine is a sour candy girl i know it in my soul(also fun fact eating sour candy can help override ur brain during a panic attack). sour patch watermelon candies + arizona iced tea is just like. her truth

kristen is canonically a yerba mate enjoyer and it shows. lemon yerba mate + dill sunflower seeds she eats shell and all

riz is the most prolific gas station food enjoyer so i feel like he will do something new eveytime, strategically trying to figure out what is the best drink + candy + chip combo, but his go to is blue bug juice + m&m’s + bugles

fig is too easy. the fuego takis + classic monster. sometimes peach rings

gorgug is a jacks links jerky boy. classic jerky + trail mix + water. he also does the dad thing of sticking his hand back and stealing snacks from everyone else as driver tax

fabian is the opposite of riz and just has. so little experience with gas station food and is frankly appalled by it. he will not eat the snacks but he will get blue gatorade

Dumb instagram/tiktok/whatever filters are literally the one and only reason this picture came into existence, and the joke lost some of it's shine over the past two years it took for me to finish it. I think the thing I was going for was "Lord of the Rings characters, Ghibli art style style, dumb selfie pose with cutesy Instagram filter" which might have been a bit much.

Anyway, here it is & I spent wayyyyyy to much time on the dark background for the amount of it you can actually see, haha

Day 4 - Roadtrip

Today's trope is Beach Episode! this one gave me a fight lol

Link wanted to take Ravio to the beach, so they went on a trip in the road to get to the port that connects with Labrynna!

So far they had fun, just talking and enjoying each other company until getting to their destination and enjoy the salty breeze of the sea

As he falls, Nathaniel contemplates all the thrill-seekers and daredevils who jump from high places for entertainment. He hopes every last one of them rots in hell, because free-falling is not the least bit fun. Air ripples around him the entire way down, rustling at his clothes and tousling his hair, and the urge to scream is stuck in the back of his throat. The river is getting closer and closer and it’s almost enough to make his heart stop. 

But at the last possible second, Nathaniel’s instincts kick in. He screws his eyes shut, clasps his hands together above his head, and cuts through the water like he was born to make such a dive. The murky water invites him in like a friend and a second later, he bursts up out of it to take a deep, gulping breath.

Once he's confident he's still alive, he cranes his head back to look up, up, up from where he’d just jumped. Romero is looking over the edge of the bridge, but Nathaniel can’t make out his expression from here. All that matters is that he won’t dare follow.
