Yushi Huang was the goddess who never depended on the celestial realm for support; Ling Wen, the goddess the celestial court would always depend on for upkeep; however, at the end of the day, the first would only have a place at court under a male name, and the second under the guise of a man.
And from sharing the same humiliation day after day, they both shared rainy nights and the reading of good poems too, which evolved into balmy nights turning into rainy nights just to see each other once more, and good poems being written just to last time they spoke wasn't really the last.
In the end, in each other's hearts and in each other's beds, they took a place as a woman no man would ever have.
