just a few things to say about her really

she is zane’s right hand, mostly because she is exceedingly good at manipulating people. she sticks with him for the status and the check.

she is a siren, like cadenza, eseryt and gene. her main ability is to convince people that whatever she says is truth. she also has a rare ability to essentially control a persons mind, assuming A) she’s able to make physical content with said person to establish initial control B) she knows their approximate location and C) the person is either unaware or weak of mind.

i’m calling her Lillian the Silver Dagger. i’ve seen people call her lillian the silver scythe, i’m not sure if it’s canon or not. anyway silver scythe is cool but we already have ivy the venom scythe so i gave her daggers instead. daggers to me feel more personal, discreet, and sneaky, which is more fitting for her personality methinks.

i used to get lillian and aphmau mixed up as a kid bc i thought they looked so much alike, so i tried to make sure she didn’t look anything like aph

i may have taken some inspiration design wise from Yennifer if Yengerberg..

My thoughts on Zane’s ships basically boil down to

Kiki: I could fix him

Lillian: I could make him worse

Janus: we could make each other worse

Incredibly random Janus headcannons because I have Thoughts about Them:

- Janus doesn't remember any of their early childhood, the earliest thing they can remember is being (presumably) 13 and joining guard training academy in O'Kasis

- Janus also didn't remember their name or their birthday. Their current legal documents were forged and aren't 100% accurate, but they don't have anything else to go off of

- His Blaze Broadsword (the orange one) is something he had on him when he joined the training academy. The Ice Broadsword was given to them by Zane at the age of 17

- They trained Ivy in swordsmanship before she properly became a Juror

- Janus lost their eye preventing an assassination attempt

- He may or may not have helped to kill the former High Priest of O'Kasis so Zane could take the position (they did)

- If you were to ask Janus who their favorite Juror was, they'd say that they don't have a favorite (it's Ivy)

- Lillian is his foster sister, but she's not his favorite because he's not her favorite Juror and he takes personal offense to that

- They've known Zane since they were 15, served as his personal guard for 6-7 years before going into the Jury

- Not saying he's a Nepo baby, but I am saying that the only reason he applied to join the Jury was because Zane was in charge of it

- Gives off horrifying vibes at all given hours of the day. 90% of the O'Kasian nobles fear them

- Have had the world's most complicated situationship going for roughly 10 years (that's rough buddy)

- Was a very unsettling child, but doesn't remember any of it

Aphtober day 4 - Jury! I did weapons to represent each jury member and the cloaked figure is meant to represent Xavier.

i had an idea for an unlikely group:

vylad, lillian, sasha, and janus all plotting against the king of tu’la

mod kate here! long time no post everyone, but here's another MCD rewrite side story, or Nympho-diaries as we like to call it. this takes place the night garroth and nicole run away, at garroth's birthday masquerade. katelyn is assigned to be their guard, however they keep running away from her. zane notices, pulling her away from her duties for a dance katelyn can't refuse.

Katelyn never enjoyed balls, much less the presence of Zane Ro'Meave. However, she is dragged from her guard duties for a dance with the coldhearted Prince who seems hellbent on making her embarrass herself.

Day 10. Tarot

Garroth's betrayal being about heartbreak sucks anyway!!

I personally think it should be about distrust and them not trusting him with that information instead of the heartbreak itself. It wasn't fully anyway in canon. He was sad and vulnerable, and then Lillian came in and gaslit him and all. But then again, within the canon, it's still said to just be about jealousy, so idk.

But just any situation where Garroth is sad and isolates himself. Then Lillian can come in and gaslight him. Lillian who pretends to be a therapist and gives him kind words. Lillian who looks a lot like his mom, honestly.

Maybe instead of the romance, Garroth is jealous of Laurance with the village. Maybe people start to like him more. Maybe that leaves him so sad or something.

Or maybe the betrayal could be more about his brother, the one whom he betrays them for. Why didn't that play a bigger part? His younger brother, what if he saw remnants of what Zane once was in him? What if he feels immeasurable guilt of Zane ending up like that to the influence of their dad, and THEN he gets a glimpse of hope. That there's still some good in Zane left that he could FIX his mistakes. If he just shows that he is there for him. He was loyal to his family long before he even knew of Phoenix Drop's existence after all..

Some of these factors, or a mix of them.

I'm just spitballing ideas, but oh well.

Definitely, Garroth acting on heartbreak makes no sense, especially since he’s going to Zane considering the distaste he’s had towards him the whole series. I really do like the idea of Garroth fearing that he was being replaced with Laurance, I think it would tie in better and yield the same results. However I do really believe Lillian had more to do with his betrayal then what was alluded to. We know she creates illusions so why not continue with that? Maybe she plagued his dreams which showed him failing to protect aphmau and phoenix drop and maybe she manipulates him into believing that if he joins with Zane it is the only way he can protect her idk but also the love betrayal really doesn’t get I guess resolved or even brought up again, it is Garroths fault (inadvertently) that they time jumped and there would be blame on him but the series just glossed over it?? Like she’s more upset that Aaron died (his fault not garroths) rather than missing the entire childhood of her son and Malachi as well considering he regained human form and is no longer “immortal”. I don’t think blame on Garroth would do the series any good so that’s why blame needs to be put on someone else. Oh hey why don’t we put it on the crazy manipulator who has proved he has no care for human life.

Thinking about what Garroth says when confronted by the group (can’t be bothered to look it up rn but it’s basically) “you guys never cared about me, Zane is the only one who has” which uhh Garroth where have you been bud so I really doubt heartbreak would make u forget that??? (Now time to look up that quote I’m curious now 😭)

I’m gonna stop for now until I write another essay 💜

idk the idea of her just bein an imp that took the form of aaron’s dead wife nd just kinda ran with it is kinda funny. it fits her havin the illusion magicks but also kinda explains her uncanny resemblance to lily. idk just think its a neat idea teehee

Zane doesn't fear Janus, despite the fact that they are very unsettling and could easily kill him if they wanted to. This is because Zane knows that Janus is in love with him is incredibly loyal to him and would rather die than kill him

Zane does, however, fear Lillian. Not because she's ever been aggressive towards him or anything, just because Zane has a deep internalized fear of porcelain dolls and Lillian is like one of those dolls but life sized and significantly more deadly
