#dating nonsense#i had a new outfit to wear and everything#this is the same guy who cancelled before due to getting sick#and this was supposed to be the raincheck date#but he just messaged saying that he had to work late tonight#i want to give the benefit of a doubt but this also feels like possible BS to me#why is it so hard to find a butt to touch#i literally gave up on my only real goal of a committed relationship to just try to find someone I can screw around with on the reg at least#and still can't even accomplish that 😔#ugh bleh 😫

in an unexpected turn of events i'm having to edit down the content in my aubrey monologues so that i can actually fit all four of them in my final performance for my standup class and on the one hand it sucks bc i really love some of the jokes i have to cut but on the other hand someday i'll be able to write more monologues and possibly expand upon this cut material so i can get a whole monologue on a topic that would've just been an aside
#the actual standups in my class who have only ever done a tight five having to stretch their new material to fit the 20 minute final#vs me‚ an extremely extra fag who's used to writing full-length scripts‚ realizing the 3 monologues i've timed already add up to 20 min#and i'm working on a fourth one that works better as an opener than any of the existing pieces so it has to get in#(it'll be short tho i'm making sure of it. it's just like ''here's some material about aubrey's relationship to zir mom!'')#(then immediate segue into the uncle reg bit)#got the catcalling monologue down to 5 minutes and 30 seconds when the first draft was nine minutes#(tbh i'm fine with most of those cuts i think they were mostly filler)#(there's a bit about androgyny that i liked that i cut but tbh it doesn't work as just one paragraph it needs more nuance)#the uncle reg monologue is having the ''dumped at the pride parade'' thing trimmed down which is funny bc that was the original premise#tbh i could probably stretch my toronto pride material ft. uncle reg to a full 20 minutes bc the first stream of consciousness was so long#i wrote it right after i myself got back from toronto pride and tbh i actually wrote it as the outline for a sitcom episode#so the monologue version is very reduced down bc there were so many details that didn't fit in#and i'm realizing the material about the person who dumped aubrey should be its own monologue that i'll do another time#and maybe even add in the rest of the sitcom-style story at some point bc tbh that's some of my favorite aubrey material i've come up with#and the cishetman monologue is getting the intro part about facetime trimmed a bit bc it meanders#and the ''sugar and spice and everything nice'' joke is being cut even tho i like it bc i actually have a ton more material in my notebook#that's just me riffing on how weird those expressions are. and the material isn't polished but i could make it something later#the song isn't being trimmed bc it has a very specific run time and imo is the strongest. so that's my closer#anyway thank you to everyone reading my aubrey updates i'll be sure to post the final 20-minute-special on youtube#and i hope i get to do more monologues soon so i can put the other ideas mentioned here (as well as some i haven't) out into the world

If I say this enough it will speak it into existence: being a Pokémon master does not have to mean being the strongest battler. I’m sure being a strong battler comes with the territory but there are still regions Ash hasn’t been to and Pokémon he hasn’t met. He’s going to keep traveling until he’s seen them all.
#listen I am just nervous#I love ash so much I don’t want this win to be the reason I don’t get to go on adventures with him anymore#actually I would kill for an older-geared story where they let Ash age and take on high stakes battling#but only if it was written well#mostly I am content to watch ash battle his way through new regions#and his new team would be entirely new Pokémon except hos broken Pikachu so#even if ash and Pikachu are the strongest battlers alive give ash an entirely new young team that doesn’t buy into it yet#make him work around more temperamental Pokémon#or let him take a job working for the leagues as a special third party who they send in to handle the big stuff#while simultaneously mentoring a newbie#like maybe ash is on legendary patrol kind of like his current gif with professor cerise just higher stakes all the time#or he’s a junior champion to Lance who manages home base things and send ash off to handle things overseas#like he’s sent tonpaldea specifically because of the time shenanigan rumors a few years after being world champion#maybe he battles regularly in the PWC on the side but his only challengers are gym leaders#elite four and champion level trailers and battle facility masters#ash battled well but he is still so young#and Leon really did have control of the field until Pikachu came out#if you put ash in a higher stakes league on the regular you could still see exciting battles throughout a new story#he doesn’t have to do a gym run#but he could still battle gym leaders on the reg#just maybe not in the leagues themselves#idk I feel like there are so many ways to keep ash around from here#he still has so much to learn about battling#and having 4 uses of gimmicks to Leon’s two definitely helped him#though Leon asked for that tbh so I wouldn’t say it’s unfair#he’s just a kid#let him keep working towards his dream#his journeys goal has been reached but that doesn’t mean his overall dreams are achieved#anipoke spoilers#anipoke

no but seriously this is really interesting, thank you. obviously it's a lot of the same stuff we've been talking about in regards to daniel, but i hadn't really thought about the pr angle to bringing in checo in the first place. obviously he was probably the best option at the time so it made sense from a logistical standpoint, but pr side of it....capturing a previously untapped market.... and i think even beyond what he's saying in this video, when you look at the way checo fans are turning on the team, filling the comments with all sorts of hateful bullshit and straight up going full conspiracy to explain away why he's not performing to the level they think he should be, it's easy to start to see how red bull might be ready to start distancing themselves from that, especially when there's a marketing slam dunk waiting in the wings

grrrrr I haven't gotten around to adding this to my lore doc yet but I need to spit this info somewhere so here we go: clones in theory are the exact same as humans BUT because of how current clones are made (processes have changed over time) all clones have a sort of "memory" of not being in human shape. like they were not alive before being human shaped but their matter (or more importantly, their base black) 'remembers' not being that way. cuz base black is sorta like 'spirit glue' essentially it keeps your soul tethered to physical matter (your body). So it adapts to whatever shape your body takes. and because clones started out as. not anything.... then changing shape....y'know. their physical forms are much more malleable and adaptable than humans are. they often have irregular growth and healing patterns. like it's wholly possible that a clone could regrow an adult tooth that got knocked out. and many adapt small scale things like improved night vision. It also means if they get possessed someone can totally come and ruin their vessel badly. because it's so malleable.... easy to squish out of place....
#clones are one step closer to being mizrieta-like than regular humans are#this is another reason reg. humans may not like clones. their tendency to be 'other' or develop mizrieta sickness is UNNATURAL ‼️#phx news#mvrckposting#in maverick the adaptation actually works against him sometimes. he looses his head (and his brain!) so he adapts memoru storage elsewhere#which results in him having memory issues. because base black DOES store memories in a way but its NOTHING#like how efficient and effective your brain is at doing the same thing#<- thats also why reincarnates often dont remember most of their past lives. new brain? no problem (yes problem)

I'm just imagining being nervous around the 141 and yet STILL garnering their attention.
Like, you've done everything in your power NOT to get noticed. You're as happy as a clam to work on all the behind the scenes issues. You don't even go out on the field!
You're the one to get gear in place, you're the one talking to Nik and supervising the equipment repairs. You make sure the armory is stocked and that the showers aren't running with rusty water.
You really DON'T want any eyes on you.
You just want to do your job and do it in fucking peace.
So why the hell are they always wanting your attention?

"There she is. Keepin' everything in order while 'm gone." Price chuckles, placing a hand on your back as he passes through the armory's narrow shelves. "Looking to take my spot as Captain hm, Love?"
You bury your face into your clipboard, trying desperately to ignore him. He's not going away but God do you want him to. His presence is always so overwhelming and his gaze so pointed. If you could shrink into nothingness you'd try.

"Oi, Bonnie!" Soap calls out to you at mess. He waves his arms wildly, making everyone look his way. "C'mere! Sit w' us today!"
He's so loud his voice echoes across the cafeteria. Recruits and lower ranking members shrink at the sound of it. So do you, even though you can hear only excitement in his tone instead of the usual ire he employs while training the rookies.
You know that if you decide to sit with your friends you'll never hear the end of it. But if you choose to sit with him and the rest of the all star task force you'll be under their gazes for the better part of the morning. You want to just drop your lunch tray and run out, but on unsteady legs and a bowed head you shuffle to the table.

"Well well, look who it is." Gaz huffs, looking up from his terminal set up in the surveillance room. "Thanks for packing those extra headset chords for me."
"Uh...yeah, no problem." You nod, trying to ignore him while simultaneously digging in an old box full of wires.
"Whatcha lookin' for?"
"Uh...a mouse. A wireless one."
"Here, take mine." He smiles, unplugging the tiny chip from the side of his laptop. "Need a new one anyway."
"It's alright I-"
"Just take it. You deserve it more than me." He hums, looking away wistfully. "If it weren't for those extra cords we wouldn't 'ave been able to call for evac on that last mission."
You take the mouse into your palm, feeling uneasy. Something about his demeanor isn't right. Gaz is always confident and sure. But the way he glances at you before he turns back to the computer makes you worried.
Is he...jealous?
You slip out of the door and close it behind you without making a sound.

"Need t' put a bell on you." Ghost grumbles. "Can't hear you n' those."
You stop midway down the hallway, confused and nervous.
You look down at your old, beat up reg boots from your PT days. They were definitely in need for a decommissioning, but they were comfy despite the fact that the soles had no tread anymore.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry." You awkwardly mumble. "Need new ones."
"No."
You raise a brow at him. It was just the two of you in one of the maintenance hallways which was, ironically enough, poorly maintained. The overhead fluorescents flickered and made it hard to focus.
"Keep 'em." He nods, turning away and showing you the full breadth of his back. He mutters at you as while he keeps walking on.
"Keeps you under the radar."

James going for an eye exam/checkup and the optometrist is some new young guy who’s all stone-faced business, barely looking at him, flipping through paper work, “are you having any problems with your current glasses,” etc and James is just stumbling over his words practically drooling at this man and also flirting unashamedly with terribly cheesy lines. Something about “the eyes are the windows to the soul you know? see anything you like in mine?” and reg’s just like “well your vision sucks so they’re pretty shit windows if you ask me” and then he watches James’ pupils dilate cartoonishly in response and is like where did this man come from and why does he clearly have a degradation kink of some sort. And then he does the thing where he makes James look at him while he moves his finger back and forth to test his peripheral vision or whatever but James keeps accidentally following his hand instead of looking straight ahead because he’s getting distracted by all the rings and picturing how they’d feel on him and and Regulus is like “please for the love of god just look at me” and James is like “oh I’ve been” and then he finally averts his attention from his hands but now he’s just staring into his eyes, jaw slack, down bad and regulus is like “okay can you see my finger still. Mr. Potter. Mr. Potter are you listening to me.” and James is just mumbling “oh I’m listening baby I’m all ears” and it’s the longest fucking checkup regulus has ever had to give but he secretly doesn’t actually mind at all
