hades as a game has such a deliberately silly tone and i think that's its biggest strength tbh. the main storyline with persephone is like, fine, a decent motivation for zagreus, but it's not really when the game is at its best. the point of the game is for you to experience being a cringefail nepobaby with a ridiculous extended family that gets to kill your father every day (it's your job)

Two thoughts:
1. These are the eyes of a man who's spent the entire night crying and is too exhausted to do more at this point.
2. Vash declares (blames?) Livio (technically Razlo?) for Wolfwood's death, and he still feeds and takes Livio with him.
Imagine their journey west. Imagine them shaking out bedrolls and Vash turns to say good night and realizes Wolfwood isn't the one beside him. He never will be again.

yes i'm rooting for m*leven breakup because byler is neat but mostly? i'm rooting for m*leven breakup for the sake of el and mike.
to me, their romance was always a puppy love born out of a combination of social pressures, naïve curiosity, and a lack of true understanding regarding intimacy and romantic love and what it really is. it was real in that they do truly, deeply care about each other and they are close friends, maybe even shared an attraction, but a maturing romance is so much more than that. they've grown up and out of being boyfriend/girlfriend, and that's okay! i think television/film needs to show more often that most of us don't have definite "soulmates" or first childhood loves that we spend our whole lives with. it doesn't mean these relationships meant nothing and didn't impact us, it just means they've run their course and that something else is in the cards, and this is part of life!
i've always felt el was at her best and most confident self when broken up with mike, discovering who she was and what she liked alongside another girl her age instead of just relying on mike for mentorship on how to live in the real world. she deserves more of an opportunity to find herself, her autonomy, and her independence, and to love who she is, and she's made it clear she's felt insecure in the relationship with mike because she isn't being loved and understood the way she wants, needs, and deserves from someone who is her partner.
also, it's okay if mike doesn't love her in "the way he should". he is not obligated to love her romantically and stay in a relationship with her just because she's a girl, because she "needed someone", or because he cares about her a lot. he shouldn't be pressured into a romance if it's not truly coming from his heart. he deserves freedom to find out and honour who he is, too, instead of just staying in his non-functional first relationship — one he got into as a child, essentially — and defining himself that way because it's what's expected when a boy and a girl are close. he loves her in some way, yes, but it's okay if he doesn't feel comfortable or secure being her boyfriend anymore, for whatever reason that is. he's felt insecure too, and that's valid and it matters.
they are their own people and are steadily growing and changing every day. they need time to figure out who those people are, and it's become clear (at least in my opinion) that those people aren't meant to be a couple at this stage.
they deserve freedom. they deserve to grow up and be authentic to themselves and not feel like they need to lie for the sake of a relationship. they deserve to move on from this version of their relationship that isn't making them happy and rekindle the best part of their bond: their strong, beautiful friendship. they don't have to be a couple if it doesn't make them stronger and better and happier people.
i think it would be healthy and wonderful for a show, especially one consumed frequently by young adults, to show a relationship starting, progressing, and ending on good terms in this way. sometimes things don't work out, and that is okay.

i love your header sm!! i love the way that you drew young chuuya, and i can just feel the angst coming from it <3
LISTEN, listen there's a drought in the BSD fandom when it come to stormbringer lab/chuuya childhood angst and dw I'm here to deliver >:) taking one for the team to be Evil. You can trust me on that
but also also!! I personally think N is a widely underutilized character in fan content considering he is quite possibly one of the most genuinely Heinous villains in the Bungoverse. And the fact that this guy introduces himself as Chuuya's father.
Ok so there's so many layers to the N and Chuuya dynamic that fucks me up and I rant enough about it on main but if i do it here maybe people will pay attention. N probably knew Chuuya or at least the family before he took him to the lab. N is nice to Chuuya throughout all the abuse, not kind, but manipulatively nice, and we know that Chuuya vows to protect anyone who treats him well in his eyes, and isn't it so weird how Chuuya chose not to take revenge on N when Verlaine free's him, even after all the TORTURE and multiple open bleeding gunshot wounds. That line, "I'm your father" is a blatant lie but the implications of authority and control that the phrase has is a big part of their relationship, and LACK of control is a fundamental aspect of Chuuya's character and,, and...
FUCK. THEY FUCK ME UP.
Anyways i think we need to start using N more in fics and fanart and whatever. N and Chuuya's dynamic could be so stomach churning and awful. I say we should do more of that.

if sasuke was the main character then he probably would've been a LOT more sympathised with than he is now (which is to say rarely). like the narrative wouldn't even need to change to show his pains or 'his side of the story', bc it does that plenty. it's just that he is not the main character. and idk what it is about our human minds but we tend to sympathise with main characters automatically (unless ofc you go off the rockers insane and do something like obliterate almost everyone from the planet *cough* eren yeager *cough*)
an instance that comes to my mind where this does happen is with lelouch from code geass. while i don't agree with his character motivations, people generally do sympathise with him as he is the mc and as viewers we know he isn't inherently evil. sasuke's goal towards the end is slightly similar but ofc people love to hate him so they don't even try to understand where he is coming from.
my point is, most people while engaging with the naruto story don't read between the lines and so don't see how traumatised and in pain sasuke is and hence don't understand his character motivations. heck, they don't understand a single bit about him and so they automatically hate him, as he is supposedly going against the main character's goals.
which is really sad given all that he has been through.
