Not to talk about Glee in the year of our Lord 2023 but it was literally so fucked up that like everyone knew Quinn was lying to Finn about the baby and just like ??? said NOTHING???

And then they actively tried to keep Rachel from knowing cause they knew she'd tell him????? And acted like shewas the bad guy for exposing her?? Like bro he was 16 years old and his life would have literally been ruined. Like that was absolutely so fucked up and they're lucky as hell he talked to them after that shit.

Y'know, sometimes I forget that Miguel O'hara is an Oscar boy. I'll just be sitting there watching atsv and being like, "His voice sounds So similar," before common sense kicks in, and I remember he's voiced by Oscar Isaac.

Not quite the same but like - when itsv first came out on digital and I watched it for the first time, I think I knew there were after credits scenes so I watched them, and I remember sitting there listening to Miguel and Lyla banter and thinking to myself (laughingly) "hey wait a minute, this guy sounds kind of like Poe"

and then that kind of sank in after a couple more seconds of hearing him talk, at which point I went "........wait"

im so tempted to turn my kurt centric seblaine fic into a sebklaine fic for no reason i don’t even ship them??? nor kurtbastian by itself??? what?

it would be so cool though because like my wip is all about kurt witnessing sebastian and blaine fall in love and the conflicting feelings of being angry and also having to witness someone else make his boyfriend happy in the way he should be doing and he gets to learn more sides of both blaine and sebastian and he even sympathizes with sebastian a bit, so like it definitely could turn into something more yknow

i feel like noel gruber would watch glee and see very probably almost definitely gay kurt hummel in the pilot (like kurt is ofc gay but he only comes out in episode 3) and go "he's just like me fr but i have better fashion sense" but then. kurt smacks straighty mcstraight boy finn hudson's ass in push it and noel goes. hm. and then the show sorta has that predatory gay storyline in season 1 between kurt and finn and noel is abhorred at this because sure this is representation but he would never want to act like that he wants a tragic relationship but he wants to be taken advantage of!! not take advantage of someone else!! then noel develops a crush on the presumed straight (at the very least in a relationship with a woman) mischa bachinski and goes "fuck fuck fuck shit fuck fuck me shit no fuck shit" so he has feelings for him but is scared of making him uncomfortable or acting in that way and just. despite glee's representation being groundbreaking and relevant it could be harmful.

Anyways I hope if y’all followed me for an F/O that wasn’t Kurt or D.raxum I apologize bc let’s be honest I very VERY rarely talk about my other F/Os ever.

blaine in blame it on the alchol has always been so interesting to me, and i wish that the episode was told more from his perspective. what always stands out are the things he says to kurt - it’s more confusing for him, and he’s trying to figure out who he is.

i wonder a lot about his journey with being gay to this point. perhaps he’s always had these questions, and came out before truly being sure of who he is, and if there’s one thing about blaine, he can fake confidence. it might be a degree of projecting, but i get this idea that, despite being “out and proud,” blaine still has a lot of insecurity about his sexuality, and, maybe just a little bit, is seeing if his attraction to rachel is real because of this insecurity. this seems very possible when, in the very next episode, blaine drops the absolute bomb that keeps me up at night that, at the very least in his mind, his father has tried to “make him straight,” and when later we learn about the sadie hawkins incident.

this is a kid who has been attacked for who he is, who believes his father doesn’t accept him, of course kissing a girl under the influence could give him these thoughts that maybe that is a possibility for him. his relationship with his dad could be better, it might make the world safer for him. but in the end he has to accept that that isn’t who he is. to me, that’s a much more compelling story than kurt’s side of things, and i think a really relatable plotline for someone like me who identified other ways for a long time because the idea of being gay was difficult.

and an aside: this could all work so well into klaine getting together in t-minus two episodes. what if blaine demonstrably sees how his feelings for rachel are not the same things he feels for kurt? what if the security this episodes conclusion gives him of knowing who he is makes him more ready to be with kurt? much to think about.

I do need to add a little note to the "hes not a fan of kurt that twink annoys him thing" which is that in one verse they are in love with each other and dating but the twink still annoys him at the start bc his parents r hunters and theres a Lot going on there but he fucks kurt and then falls for him so. hes not a fan. The twink annoys him. He is also in love with the twink
