A/N: I saw the TikTok headcanons @lovedrruunk posted and I couldn't help myself! I had to drabble just a little! May or may not be a ploy to just share what I'm listening to from time to time lmao

Premise: Takes place in the same universe as anxious!reader (college AU basically). You do a TikTok for the first time because all your friends do them.

Warnings: None!

Song: first date - frad

Description: I think it's just one of those days. :\

The video starts out with a downward shot of you walking to nowhere in particular. Between the tattered concrete you find a dandelion has grown through the cracks, and you stop to zoom in on it before the clip ends.

The second clip begins looking up at the blooming spring trees in your local park. Petals gently dance in the air and land on the grass below the tree you decide to sit under. There's a cut to you sitting on a blanket with your water bottle, favorite stuffed animal and sketchbook. There's a POV of you beginning to sketch lightly before erasing it in disappointment. You begin again only to repeat the same process.

In the last shot you hug your stuffed animal close while your sketchbook sits closed in your bag along with your drawing pencils.

You finish it by applying a cutesy filter over everything to make it more visually appealing. Then, you hit upload.

Lance talks Hunk into going with him to find a secret waterfall deep in the forest, rumored for it’s pure, clear water. As they walk thru the dense foliage, Hunk stammers, “They say it’s… haunted.” Lance scoffs, “That only means we’ll have the place to ourselves!”

After hours of hiking, just when they're about to give up and admit the waterfall was some kind of wilderness myth, the trees part and before them is something out of a movie.A gentle waterfall splashes down a mossy, flower-covered cliff side into a pool of water so clear and pure, that if it weren't for the sunlight sparkling off the surface, it wouldn't even be visible.

Lance crows, triumphant, and tossing off his shirt and shoes wastes no time cannon balling into the center of the pool.

"Lance!!" Hunk shouts when Lance resurfaces, "We need to test it first!"

Lance huffs and throws his arms in the air, splashing Hunk. "Dude! My MAN! Look at this, it's pristine! And fucking WARM! Must be some hot spring. GET IN HERE!"

"NOT until I test it. YOU might not mind spending the night barfing up a lung from some weird secret waterfall bug, but I do." Hunk sighs and removes his pack, crouching down to rifle through it to find his test kit.

Lance huffs again, but resigns himself to letting Hunk be Hunk, and tips to float on his back in the buoyant water. Closing his eyes he thinks this is the perfect reward for all that hiking, it's possibly the most relaxed he's ever been in his life.

That is until, "LANCE!!" Hunk whisper-shouts at him.

Lance cracks open one eye to look over at his friend. "Don't need to shout, right here."

"Lance, who's that??" Hunk visibly blanches as he points to something behind Lance.

"Har har, very funny, stop stalling..." Lance mutters as he spins to find himself nose to nose with... something...

Ay yo guess who’s been enjoying the spooky fish game 👀 if y’all haven’t seen Dredge I would absolutely recommend it it’s so cool!!! It’s like a Lovecraftian horror fishing game and I am obsessed with the aesthetics and gameplay loop and artwork. Just *chef’s kiss* BEAUTIFUL

He was fine. Even as he grew ill, it was fine.

That was what he had told them in life-- insisted, really. The guilt was eating at him from the inside out, but he was fine. There were bigger things to be worried about, after all.

No, he wasn't practically burning himself alive, the boiling presence of something more churning his guts each and every time he uttered the words: It's fine; I understand. There was more at stake than facing his own mortality, let alone all the ugliness that remained within.

As the days went by, it grew increasingly harder to turn the other cheek to the inner turmoils of the body and mind. There was the same repeating phrase that weighed at his shoulders more, and more, each time it crossed: I wish I had done more; I wish I could have done things differently. I wish, I wish, I wish.

Wishes didn't come true; Guilt ate at his heart, mind, and soul.

The transformation was sudden, but at the very least, his companions knew the signs of it when it was about to start.

Eyes were a flood of light, dripping like molten gold down his face in streams of tears to be forever branded on a marble-like visage. Three wings sprouted from his back as if bursting from a fleshy cocoon: Two on his left, and one on his right. A third eye grew from his forehead, impassive gaze blinding with light shining through it, whilst the two he already had glazed over in stone, forever doomed to shed those molten tears. Weapons were ripped from his very ribs, a mournful scream leaving his lips for one last time as bone shaped itself into a pair of deadly blades hovering at either side of him, his Gunblade morphing within his hold to be a third.

And as fast as it had happened... it had stopped. Gone was the broken man clinging to a past he couldn't go back and change, and there instead stood a mock statue of his memory, reflecting the ache and mourning once held inside.

sooooo many things are simultaneously kicking my ass right now thank god i don't play cod or i'd have to also suffer the humiliation of 12yos kicking my ass too

#wow those vaccines sure can huh #plus also the minus 4 vials of blood which is a lot #plus also my dumbass forgetting i've lost a significant amount of blood and won't have it all back yet going ahead and hitting that vape #AND i can't look at injection sites so i am INCAPABLE of bandaging my own arm WHICH IS A FUN AND EXCITING DEVELOPMENT LET ME TELL YOU #i feel like *ass* right now so i'm gonna sit and drink some water and i'll take my meds at my normal time and i'm just gonna #work very hard at not feeling dizzy and nauseous even though i'm sitting down #the shower might not have been a great choice but it was a good one and i'm glad i did it #thank fuck for shower chairs and beloved family who care about you and will help your stupid ass when you make dumb choices #(like getting high when you've gotten A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF BLOOD taken and then realizing you wanted a shower)#anyway i feel very vindicated that i knew part of my problem with getting my blood taken was seeing the draw happen #and that's why it took so long for the wooziness to hit me and i didn't get faint until like what feels like a whole minute had passed afte #she finished taking the last one #note to self: hydrate better you dumbass #feel free to (playfully) shame me for not hydrating i am very aware of a certain amount of irony in this being my fate because i didn't #drink enough water lol
