-he adores long hair and loves it when the girl wears it open

The blind woman and the leper
•••••••
"Lady Suri?"
At the sound of his voice she smiled, stopped caressing the flowers and turned around with her cane in hand.
" Your Majesty, I have been waiting for you," commented the redhead.
The last time they saw each other was during a banquet organized by Sibylla, Baldwin's sister. Suri felt it was not the right time to confess, so she asked him to meet her two days later in her personal garden before sunset. He agreed.
"That's right, what did he want to talk to me about," Baldwin IV asked.
She was a little nervous, she had never confessed her love to a man before, she kept making nervous movements with her fingers and Baldwin noticed that.
"You know that we have known each other since we were children," declared the redhead, smiling as she remembered the first time they met, at a banquet when they were both eight and nine years old. "I have always felt a great appreciation, affection and respect for you. You supported me during my mother's death, and I am very grateful for that. But now that affection has evolved, it is no longer just affection..... It is also love. Baldwin, I love you."
His sky blue eyes looked different, there was fear and insecurity thanks to the young woman's words, but she couldn't see it.
"Suri, I think you were confused. You wouldn't say that if you really saw me. I'm a leper, I have a short time to live, I won't live past thirty. You couldn't be with a person like me," he spoke slowly, trying to appear calm, but he was anything but calm.
"Of course I could."
"No" he spoke firmly. "You say that because you can't see me, otherwise you'd be frightened to see my face deformed by leprosy."
She let out a little laugh, and moved closer to him, Baldwin backed away but Suri kept moving forward until she touched his mask with both hands, and caressed it as if she was touching him without it.
"That's impossible, Baldwin," the young woman murmured. "If I could see, I would not care what you look like, to me you will always be the bravest and most beautiful man in all Jerusalem."
Under his mask his face and gaze softened, looking at her with affection. He had known her since she was a child, he knew what she said was true. He pulled her to him, wrapping her in a hug. Suri was surprised, but then she reciprocated and a smile broke out on her face.
"I love you too, Suri."

King Baldwin IV, the Leper King
This was a lot of fun to work on. Originally I was going to draw him on a dark grey or brownish horse but then made it a dappled grey horse. The composition was originally going to be a lot lighter, taking place during the day time. However, as I progressed. I made the decision to make it a battle scene during a vibrant sunset.
This was a huge accomplishment. It was not long ago that I would've never even dreamed to draw a knight on a rearing horse portrait. But here we are.

Baudouin IV de Jérusalem
Suite des précédentes listes de livres. Avec des livres en français, en anglais et en italien.
SERIES DE ROMANS
Deuxième série de 7 tomes, toutefois, seulement les deux premiers se passent sous le règne de Baudouin, mention spéciale au troisième qui parle d'Hattin. Le 7e tome se passe en 1192.
En français, un Doc sur Renaud de Châtillon.
Et une BD sur la bataille de Montgisard.
Enfin, un roman en Italien. Je vous avoue que je ne l'ai pas lu, mon niveau d'italien ne me permettant pas de le comprendre, mais des retours que j'en ai, il est excellent.

Released eight chapters of Aere Perennius today!
Here is a small Baldwin and Lucy comic and poem I wrote for my fan-fiction. It's called In Aeternum te Amabo (My love for you will last forever).
I had a lot of fun drawing this!
In Aeternum Te Amabo
Could you learn to love a man with skin so brightly burned
And fingers gloved and bandaged for a God he must have spurned
Whose touch will one day leave his reach
Whose eyes will no longer see
