Ash’s thoughts on living with Daphne. Her perception of herself, as well as of anyone who cares about her, is… really twisted. (Don’t worry, she gets better. Eventually.)
Shapeshifters in this setting aren’t affected by lunar phases, but Ash spends a bit of the story thinking that might be the case.

Rebellion Releases: New 2000AD, early 2023 schedule including third “Leopard From Lime Street” collection shapes up
The last regular 2000AD of the year hits newsagents and comic shops this Wednesday – but there are plenty of thrills to come from Rebellion before Christmas, and in the first months of 2023.
Not only do we have Prog 2311 with a cover from Steven Austin coloured by Jim Boswell to look forward to this week; as previously reported, the Finn: Origins collection is out this week, too.

Crab meat is delicious, as many a seafood aficionado will avow and affirm; and there is little doubt that crab would be a tasty morsel to an avian appetite, for the crows, hawks and eagles that patrol and prey on the seashores here and which can easily overtake the escaping crab despite its obvious laterigrade celerity.
Yet never once have i seen these birds attack crabs, and certainly not the large red ghost crab of the first photo. When you are as formidably armed of claw and pincer as this red brute you do not need camouflage; indeed you can brazenly broadcast your bright colours with indolent, insouciant impunity.
The same cannot be said of the smaller, more fragile, crabs that also live on this shore - second photo - that take the greatest of care in covering their carapaces with fine grey leopard-like patterns, as to make them virtually indistinguishable from the grey sandy background when viewed from a distance, and certainly from flight height.
This is true of all the smaller crab species on the shores of Andhra Pradesh, that live on more open spaces - they invariably carry camouflage patterns of a colour that readily blends into the colour of the background sand. Here, on Machilipatnam Beach, the beach sand is greyish, and thus grey is chosen here. But on the more creamy-brown coloured sands half-way between Rushikonda and Bheemili Beach, the crabs carry a corresponding creamy brown camouflage.
Machilipatnam Beach, July 19, 2019.
