General Info:
• Unsocial Moth.
• Generally makes people uneasy. She’s visibly disturbed & clearly unstable which makes people uncomfortable.
• It doesn’t help that she’s an avid thief & people don’t like having their things stolen.
• Has poor hygiene due to her mental state, which is only made worse considering the places she hangs out (She… reeks. </3)
• Her teachers aren’t too fond of her. She’s not a delinquent by any means, but she spends more time daydreaming than anything.
• She also… stares. at them. Has a thing for older men / authority figures and it’s. obvious.
• Meek & submissive as fuck </3
• Works at the office building as a temp, but occasionally does housekeeping jobs around town
• Spends her free time in the forest, moor, smuggler’s cave, the sewers. When it comes to the orphanage, it’s all or nothing. She’s either locked herself in her room or avoids it like the plague.
• Has substance abuse issues. Cigarettes, alcohol, stimulants, aphrodisiacs…… <- Big fan. You can find her stealing stimulants & aphrodisiacs all over town, (even if the punishment she gets for doing so isn’t often worth the high).
• Very Much a Recluse. Doesn’t go out of her way to interact with people. Still, heres how she feels about certain NPCS:
• MORGAN — Met Morgan while artifact hunting for Winter, and it. fucked her up. She originally went along with him out of fear, but took to him quickly. He’s the father figure she’s never had. The only one who “understands her”.
Her name rhymes with Charlene, and she bares a resemblance to him (gingers. that’s it.), but it’s enough for her to delude herself into thinking that she hypothetically could be Charlene. (She’s not. & In a more lucid state she would accept that, but. Alas.)
• HARPER — Used to avoid their therapy appts at any cost. Morgan got in her head about him, so she was resilient & slow to warm up. But, deep into treatment at her first asylum visit, she became enthusiastic.
**Looked forward to bathing every day** (because it meant he would touch her and get her off). Liked the way his medicine made her feel, and loved his attention even more.
• KYLAR — A genuine friend. One of the only people she likes being around. Prefers when he’s silent and not overbearing. Keeps him at an arms distance because he’s a little… too into her.
He’s made it very clear that he wants to be more than friends/friends with benefits, but she ignores his feelings. She doesn’t want to date him. She doesn’t want him to “fix her” or “keep her safe”.
• WHITNEY — Evangeline is easy to throw around & take advantage of. She does what Whitney asks of her, little to no resistance.
Not close enough to him to drink at the pub with him & his buddies, but would if he allowed her to. Same with smoking with him. Hypothetically, they could get along. But they don’t.
• MICKEY — Fond of from a distance (They help cover up her tracks and are mysterious. It’s..: appealing :))
• ROBIN & SYDNEY — Not close. Doesn’t interact with them other than what’s necessary.
• WINTER — She helps out with the museum & also wants him carnally. Who cares if he’s a “fossil” or “as old as those antiques he collects”? Not her.
• SIRRIS — Another object of her lust. A seemingly perfect father to Sydney, not to mention hot. She’d do anything to be a demonstration on his home videos, if you catch my drift!
• LEIGHTON — To be determined

I never really feel clever or informed enough to comment on the met gala but some folks I like skipped this year and at the very least I want to save my top ten for posterity so here we are.
I'll be doing this in several rounds. Theme Favorites: top ten that did a good job with the theme and were interesting enough for the met gala. That's A Nice Dress/Suit: top ten that were beautiful for some event that wasn't the met gala. Come on, this is for wearing theatrical art. Personal Favorites: top ten free-for-all in which I just pick my favorites based purely on personal aesthetic. Absolutely no attempt to even pretend I'm thinking of things like theme, craftspersonship, or style. Maybe a forth round for stuff I just want to talk about or things I did not like.
The 2024 theme was Garden of Time, the exhibit Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. Most people took that in a historical and/or botanic direction, both themes I adore. Interestingly enough the Garden of Time is a short story about the hyper-wealthy walling themselves in their pleasure gardens with magic time slowing flowers until the hoi polloi riot and overtake them. Unfortunately I saw no outfits that incorporated the injustice of our capitalistic hellscape, the inevitability of death, or less generously: the unwashed masses destroying genteel beauty. Perhaps next year.

There were a lot of outfits I really liked but I thought this one really captures the threatening beauty of nature, genteel isolation, and vague sense of mortality you get in Ballard story. I also dig how it looks like something a member of the fae would wear.

Cynthia Erivo wearing Thom Browne
This number will be showing up in my favorites. When I imagine the anthropomorphic Death as she would appear in the Ballard story, this is she. The petals over the darkness are a bit on the nose as a death image, but I positively love it.
Rebecca Ferguson wearing Thom Browne
Another one that will appear in my favorites. So it's hard to talk about the Garden of Time without mentioning The Masque of the Red Death. Both are about rich aesthetes locked away against the rioting masses and the inevitability of death. Ferguson is dressed to sweep uninvited through a decadent compound to bring darkness and decay in her wake, and really isn't that what we're all going for at all times?
Demi Moore wearing Harris Reed and Cartier
God I love this dress. The spear things remind me of the hands on a clock and the peonies are that brilliant pink that makes me want to lick them. I like how the sleeves frame her, almost like wings or a halo.

Amazing. Honestly I hardly have anything to say. I adore the sort of Georgian (I think Georgian, my art history is pretty shit) pattern and the halo effect of Reed's headpiece. A feel like he's pretty purposefully doing a saint thing in the picture and I love it.
Tyla wearing Balmain
Holy fuck did this one fly under my radar. Much like an operatic magpie, I am attracted to bright colors and shiny things, and so missed the subtlety of this sand gown. She's dressed as the sands of time, very cool. Spoiler for an 80 year old short story: it ends with the main characters turning into statues, so I really like how the dress makes it look like she's turning into sand.

Like Tyla's gown above I like Russell's suggestion of inorganic transformation. She has a sort of sad dryad/maiden warrior chosen by god thing going on.
Dan Levy wearing Loewe
Gives me Persephone energy. I like the floral color and life contrasted to the black. The transition reminds me of the transformation in the story and, if I sort of tilt my head, the passage of all life into death.
J Harrison Ghee wearing ???
Okay so Ghee's gown doesn't really capture the themes of time or death but holy fuck I love it. This is how six-year-old me wanted to dress every day. A friend said "it's a carnival dress, though certainly a very good one." Personally I think it's perfect for any and every occasion. I love that they look like she's at the 1994 Thumblina film's Beetle Ball. I mean, look at this image and tell me they didn't come from the same party. Playful, camp, and over-the-top.

Whitney: idk probably the flats. Mansions would be interesting because bullies whose parents are rich are common. But if he was high enough social status i don’t think briar would have been as willing to abduct him… or maybe Briars so above the law it didnt matter
Harper: flats? At one of his jobs? He does manage to be at several places at once/per day.
Some mix of farm, hospital, and asylum. Though farm might be a few times a week iirc. Maybe the flats, not poor but not rich either. Origin could be a dumpster or a mansion… cuz the asylum patient to the towns doctor, plastic surgeon, psychiatrist, and mad scientist is a crazy pipeline
Briar: the brothel? Flats? Is he rich enough to afford a mansion? He does seem to try to be lowkey even if the corrupt ass town cosigns him
Leighton: the flats as well? I mean headmasters make good money, but he gives the impression of being a loser.
Wren: ??? Has connects. probably lives out in the farmlands but at the same time gives homeless/nomadic. Not in a negative way but in like a serial couch surfer kinda way. Maybe his gambling cottage but idk maybe its a glorified rec hall
Quinn: mansions? He is the mayor of a shamelessly corrupt town after all.
Since most of them are high ranking in town its really between flats and mansions 💀💀💀
Idk it’d be kinda funny if the dirty old man squad all lived together in the lotus apartment. Highly implausible, but fun to think about.

Submissions and Bracket Update!
Hello everyone! It has officially been one week since launching this blog and opening submissions for our first hot vintage tv stars tournament, the hot vintage tv women's bracket!
We are currently sitting at 118 total submissions! With at least 79 hot vintage TV ladies submitted. So far I've managed to sort through about half of them.
Because we have a decent number of submissions I am currently planning on closing submissions on Friday, April 5th. This will give everyone a few more days to get in submissions before we start our tournament.
Submission have slowly been winding down each day so it seemed like giving everyone a few more days to submit their favs and then getting to work setting up the bracket would be ideal. Though, if enough people feel like we should gather more submissions first and give everyone a little more time then I'm happy to push this proposed date back. But right now with almost 80+ submissions I think that's enough to give us a satisfying and fun bracket.
After Submissions close I'll take some time to finish organizing everything before polls go up for round 1. There will probably be some housekeeping things after submissions close so stay tuned.
As of right now I am shooting to start round 1 sometime between April 8th - 12th depending on how long I need to get things set up behind the scenes. So stay tuned for an announcement on the exact date!
One housekeeping thing before the list of current hot vintage tv lady contestants. It seems there might have been a bit of confusion on how to fill out the submission form.
The place for the contestants name is where you put the name of the hot vintage tv lady you are submitting for the bracket.
And the suggested poll pic is for you to place a link to a picture of your hot vintage tv lady that I can use to represent them in the polls.
If you filled out the form incorrectly previously, no problem, please feel free to resubmit your fav with the form properly filled out this time. I can't use submissions that are submitted incorrectly, I simply don't have enough time to try and figure out what was intended from limited information. I've updated the form to clarify these things.
Finally bellow is the current list of submitted hot vintage tv ladies for the bracket! Please keep in mind that this list is subject to change as I have only gone through about half of the submissions so far. It's possible there might be people on this list that will be disqualified later for not meeting our criteria.

Another one of my favorite poly ships along with Zander, Eric & Evan. We haven't written them much yet on the dash, but I think Moni and Tin already know how much I love both of those ships. One has the chaos potential while the other has the angst and I'm here for the journey they will take us on. DoL OC lore
Shirley and Raphael are twin , they both have blonde hair and light blue eyes. Shirley is 10 minutes older. They have different beliefs and points of view in certain situations. Both dislike Whitney and dislike each other. Both are around 18+ years old and still go to high school. While being called as an older sister , Shirley is an intersex child since birth while Raphael is a normal boy , Shirley chooses to act like a girl instead. She actually loves her brother (sisterly) and protecting his pureness while letting herself get in trouble in his place instead while acting like he's being a burden for her whenever he's around
Raphael did not know this as he kept his purity at max while being one of many initiates at the Temple. His thought of his sister is "misguided and heretical" as she became a Demonic Hellhound. Raphael is an Angelic Harpy boy.
=> He wears blue contact lenses to look less like Shirley, also has different blonde hair dye , later he dye his hair black with Sydney.
They both go to the same school , class and work at the same Temple. They are both in love with Sydney but Raphael is the only one being able to be with her since his purity is higher and fit to be in the Temple more than Shirley. As he was able to perform Rite of promise with Sydney.
Bonus from here => One day while cleaning the Temple's garden, Shirley got lost in the forest and got captured by Black Wolf and become a wolf girl after 2 weeks with them. When she was finally able to leave the wolves cave , Eden the huntress captured her right after that. She has lived with Eden since then, but still came back from time to time and paid for both her and Raphael.
=> There is a few time Shirley didn't got home in time to pay for Raphael , got him send to Remy's farm. He managed to escape the farm but lost in the Moor and met the Great Hawk while wandering in deep inside the moor. He became a Harpy boy after staying with the Great Hawk , despite Great Hawk seeing him as his mate, they only a pure relationships and interact with each other as the Hawk respect him and his decision.
=> He finally knows that his sister was the one who sacrificed herself and worked hard in this place to pay for him all this time and forgive her behavior.
Childs:
Shirley has 6 wolves children with Black Wolf , 1 son with Eden, 1 with Robin , 1 with Whitney , 1 with Ivory Wraith and 1 intersex child with her own self.
Raphael is yet to have any children. But he have so many nephews lol
Others:
They both agree to help Robin and share 50/50 on Robin's pay and both have Robin's protector as they are childhood friends
Work:
Raphael works as a waiter at the Cafe for Sam , worked at the dock on weekend, do house keeping at some apartment lot after school, stay at the temple and be pure got him 4000£ each month. Join every school contest for extra money. He dislikes Leighton.
Shirley worked at the brothel as dancer and other stuff involved sexual encounter, work at the club as bartender, she work she quit going to the Temple but still be there sometime to look at Syd and her brother from far away and worked for Sirris at her Adult Shop. Also hang out with Avery for extra money to pay for Bailey
