The legend, the greatest of all time, Vincent Tong has answered three questions. After being granted permission, I happily yeet this post into the fandom. I want to note that the questions and answers are copied directly from the Cameo DM. There is no rewording. The more personalized question is hidden below for those who are not interested. Enjoy!
Question: "My first question is what do you think Kai would wear when he's not in his ninja gi? I know during the show we have some outfits Kai wears but as the voice actor, I wanted to ask what is your take on Kai's fashion style?"
Answer: "That’s a good question. Since Kai fancies himself as a ladies man, he is very aware when he’s out and about town. I can see him being very colour coordinated, in red of course, in case anyone isn’t aware he’s the elemental master of Fire 🔥 For casual wear he would rock a red tracksuit with with a sleeveless hoodie, to show off his muscles of course. And if he was to dress up a bit, I could see him wearing a sparkle red suit that would change colour if heated it up by his fire powers!"
Question: "My next question is about the scar on his right eye. My apologies if you have already answered this question before during a Q&A but I am curious. Do you have any takes on how Kai got that scar or why he has that bandage too? Is it another scar? And did Kai always have this scar or did something happen before the events of the Sons of Garmadon season that caused the scars?"
Answer: "My answer to this is kinda lame, cause I actually was never told the origins of the scar. I think it was a design decision to make Kai stand out. But if I had to create a story: He was going pee in the middle of the night and hit head on the bunk bed Nya and him shared as kids. But he would never admit that to anyone. He’d say he got it from defending a poor street dog from other giant bully streets dogs. Kai walked away with a scar but those street dogs walked away with greatest lesson of all: You play with Fi-yah, you’re gonna get burned 🔥🔥"
Question: "My last question right now for you is this. You mentioned before Ariel was your first crush as a kid. If Kai ever met Ariel, what would that interaction look like? What would Kai think of Ariel?"
Answer: "Oooo good question! Well Kai would right away blush so hard seeing Ariel. His hair might even catch fire a bit, cause she’s so pretty! And she would point out that both their hair is red🔥🤭 He would use a cheesy line like ‘Whoa are those fins, cause you’ve been swimming around my mind all day!’ Ariel can’t talk cuz of that mean sea witch, but she would giggle silently at Kai trying so hard to be cool! I think they would prob hang out eating ice cream to help him cool off. He would try to make Ariel laugh and anything she did would just make him blush more ☺️ I think they would make a great pair! 💕💕🧜♀️🔥"

He knows a thing about having a bad day
You tell him you want him to leave you alone, but thankfully he knows that's the last thing you want
You both just sit there in silence for a few minutes
He wants to ask what's wrong, but he also knows that when you're ready to talk about it, you will
When you do eventually tell him, he'll listen and be sympathetic
If you're day was just bad because it was, with no real reason, he still comforts you, because you're allowed to have a bad day
He's a great listener and is understanding of your problems
He won't give you advice unless you ask for it, but he gives words of affirmation [Ex: "No matter what happens, I hope you know that I will always be here to listen"]
You can just sit in silence with him and it makes you feel better
That's the great thing about Lloyd. Words don't have to be exchanged for you two to be happy and content
He does seem like the type that can sit in silence for too long. Like there has to be some kind of sound, so he'll probably start humming or something, which happens to get a little giggle out of you

Ninjago headcanons because I like doing it
Lloyd loves to sleep with stuffed animals, his favourite one is a cute bunny.
Cole really loves childeren, so he often visits schools ans daycares.
Jay has broken multiple gaming records, he has the most records on minecraft.
Kai has broken a ton of hairbrushes due to forgetting that he had gel in his hair.
Nya secretly loves comics, but doesn't want to admit it.
Zane likes to see the team figure things out when he knows the solution. He just enjoys seeing them struggling over easy things.

I know everyone is obsessing over kai and Lloyd with their brother bond but what about Lloyd and Nya.. although they don't interact as much, I feel like they'd be best friends too 🥹💚

"Really the only question I have is regarding Kai's age. Seeing as asking for Kai's age for every single season is a lot, could you perhaps tell us what you think is Kai's age in at least the pilots or maybe some other season?"
"That is a big question that has so much speculation. This is what I think, and this is my personal opinion and not canon. In the pilot Kai was a teenager maybe 13-15. He was Nya’s big brother and guardian since their parents weren’t around. Now, maybe in the Ninjago universe aging is different than our ‘world’ but as you can see we have new younger Ninja’s in Dragons rising. Through the years our adventures as the OG Ninja has been such a blast. I still have the first page of the first pilot episode where Kai has the first line. I treasure it so much!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥 And I can claim that I was the FIRST OG Ninja of the Ninjago series!"

Can I request a Yandere Kai headcannons
Kai is a class favorite
God, he's an idiot [In love]
He follows you like a lost puppy
You're really close with his sister, which is a huge plus for him
He always uses the excuse of 'Oh, my sister asked me to come to check on you,' 'My sister asked me to entertain you until she's busy' etc etc
Sometimes he messes up in training cause he'll catch a glimpse of you
His eyes always follow you in a room
Sometimes he says the wrong thing at the wrong time
He becomes worried when he hasn't seen you in 5 minutes
He remembers the day he met you and he dreams about it all the time
He hadn't even noticed you all that much when he first met you, in fact he was a little cold
^ That upsets him all the time. Why didn't he notice someone as beautiful as you? He should of devoted him time to you
It's okay though now, because he gives you all the attention he can
With that in mind, he hates when you pay attention to someone else and he's right there. Like why are you paying attention to someone else when he's right there? He's more mad at them than you, so don't worry
He's very overprotective
His anxiety spikes whenever danger is near
You're his main priority along with his sister
So everything he does is in your best interest, whether you realize it or not

Oni headcanons i've had over time!!
-Oni are naturally more destructive;; will push things off tables for no reason, rip up books and paper, and break things basically for brain stimulation !
-Oni are fluffy as hell fight me (opposite to the scaled dragons.. yk, yin yang) and their fur is so incredibly thick that getting it wet can be a hazzard to their health. (like a chinchilla's. search it up!) They take dust baths....
-literally a cat ...
-eyes glow :]]
-Colorblind
-teeth grow indefinetly like a beavers
Oni hybrid notes !!!
-worse temper and more destructive;; Prone to anger issues.
-Not prominent, but cat like. still, and may resemble other animals
-still ages slower like a normal oni.
-if they have an eye that resembles an oni, it glows!!!!
-Usually have dark colored markings on their skin (geometric or not, they are usually stripes) These markings turn a lighter and/or darker color when in oni form! Or they change shape, choice is anyones
-How much oni traits depends on how much oni dna is in their system. Could have a tail, could have horns, could have oni eyes, etc; but it all depends
-Along w/ being a dragon hybrid, could mess with elemental power a little bit and make it affect how their power works! (etc; Cor my oc eats color for energy and their element is color. Cor also has another set of arms(in the form of a scarf) in place of the four arms they'd have in oni form, which can get ripped and injure them badly)
-they can go into Oni form more easily depending on how closely related to an Oni they may be!
-(most likely) colorblind
-teeth grow indefinetly like a beavers (only if they have oni teeth/tusks)
