I made an attempt to oblige the uploaders on germ theory on BitChute, but then I inevitably realized the act of actually getting to solid arguments one way or another in this shit-flinging was actually beyond the pale.

So? Then I look at something in reality, and I realize there really *isn't* any merit in going beyond the pale of their expectations, because all these people are doing anyway is what comes down to repeated ad hominem arguments based in strawmen fallacies that they're making simply because they "have" their theory concluded in their minds in advance. If this is what is considered getting the job done intellectually, it's no wonder nothing ever gets done anymore in the workforce either. No, our problem runs *deeper* than the dropout crisis. Men don't know how to work. Our sense of satisfaction comes from this sense of being "right", which exists on essentially a virtual plane that doesn't exist.

If we had a solid argument in all that, the uploader would still be full of shit.

The current standings on the science are that it doesn't matter whether you're of the establishment or not: everyone, *everyone* finishes their argument by painting in broad strokes that every disease is categorized as *their* label, with no proof - with anti-germ-theory conspiracy theorists, it's awkwardly that they're "toxins" or "venom", which makes *no* sense because that awkwardness gives people the "ick", so to speak, setting off an entire tirade of pro-establishment wall-of-text. The scientific establishment itself has it established so that every disease, when you simply look it up, will be categorized as bacteria because it is made default. So on both ends, no effort or actualization is involved. The scientific method be damned. We're not living in a first-world country - when you step outside the bounds of what they'll teach you within standardized curriculum, it's like venturing outside your whitewashed neighborhood into what Kanye has dubbed "the Black Mass". "Astronauts Gone Wild" is thereby par for the course and then some, as you see these people catching things on fire flipping cars over every now and then for no reason or stimulus other than that some headcanon of the value of the ad hominem strawmen described got violated, and they're very angry. In reality, life doesn't have the intrinsic value to get all uppity about it. The average IQ is only 100, in the end. So aside from regurgitation-level understanding of what your curriculum teaches you at face value, what, you can play with Tinker Toys?

So basically - especially when they're lodged in a bureaucratic position in an institution that's deemed "too big to fail", humans aren't worth their salt - so you should not pay taxes. But this laziness doesn't even require the existence of an institution in the first place. The sense that they are right in a way that morally removes them from the fault of the flock suffices, so that the uploader will no longer feel the need to build their theory from the ground up to qualify it. You *might* find the meat of the argument in there, but there's no push toward it.

If you’re specifically working on for instance making medical transition as accessible for trans people as possible, you’re going to want to really zero in on news related to politicians and pundits talking shit about trans people, whether the news is from lefty sources or not. Lots of activists, radical activists, almost never follow leftist news. It’s just…it depends on what you’re going to do with that news, you know? And if, different example, an issue close to your heart is police brutality against disabled people, you’re going to learn how to read mainstream news articles about cops messing with disabled people for bias.

You can get your news from mainstream sources. Most of the news is going to be the same, leftist news sources just give it different framing. (More or less. Mainstream news about say Palestine leaves a lot out, even when they are covering it and you can tell something is going on.) So if you get your worldview from non-news sources you can read mainstream news with a radical lens.

There’s this idea that there’s sort of some baseline set of news that everyone should know and it’s really an illusion. Most people aren’t going to judge you if they initially assume you’ve heard of something and you say you haven’t. (Most people who like you. If you’re having online or offline debates they might try to score “you’re dumb” points. But debating with people who are trying to win, rather than find truth, is strictly optional.) It’s actually incredibly normal for people who follow the news to have a narrow focus on a few specific topics they especially care about, and ignore everything else except for the things that are exceptionally hard to miss like Notre Dame burning down or Eurovision or US presidential elections. That’s a healthy and appropriate way of interacting with the news. News media kinda want you to believe something bad will happen if you don’t consume as much news as possible. But it’s actually a lot more complicated than that — you can read the news for hours every day and still miss really important stuff, and you can go months without reading a news article and still catch many things worth catching.

I mean. I generally think it’s better to follow the news than not follow it. But…I think it’s good to follow the news skeptically, if that makes sense. To realize that there’s a lie being handed out with the news, which is “this is what matters and this is all that matters, and if the facts are true then so is the narrative that we are using the facts to tell.”

And there is hella a disability thing and a poverty/class thing tied to seeing “keeps up with the news” as “being responsible” or “being informed.”

It’s not really a secret, but it’s not really well-known and I don’t really talk about it, the fact that I play Captain America in an online shitposting roleplay game. 

My side of it could generally be described as “deeply unserious” -- there’s not much plot and almost zero real continuity on my part. But that doesn’t mean I don’t put effort into how I think of Captain America within the parameters of the game. 

I chose to play Steve as the nicest, most well-mannered fratbro you’ll ever meet -- an adrenaline junkie who has a deeply-rooted ethical code, an impulsive twentysomething who also considers his actions and words so as not to hurt anyone, someone who loves life even though he’s been severely damaged by it, an antifascist who makes a point to be kind and understanding and to still have fun. 

And the thing is, I think that playing Steve has done for me something similar to what he did for Chris Evans (who was a decent person to start with if reports are anything to go by). You can’t play a person who gives so much of a damn for everyone without being impacted by their ethos -- you can’t spend years of your life inside the head of Steve Rogers and come away unchanged. I’ve said before that the ultimate authority on Steve Rogers at this point really is Chris Evans, because he has spent literal years interpreting his canon and creating his subtext for millions. But I think it’s an example of “the thought becomes the word becomes the deed” -- that constantly inquiring into how a truly good person would react to the world leads you closer to that ideal. 

I see in myself, in my blog posts lately, the kind of upbeat, doing-his-best spirit that pervades my work with Cap. It’s something a little beyond hopepunk -- even when someone is an asshole to me, I find that it’s very satisfying to respond with aggressive good cheer. It’s not something I think should be policy in all things, but for run of the mill jerks it’s quite successful. I’ve never been big on self-hate but I think I’ve been a markedly better person in the past year and change because I’ve been playing a better person in a frivolous shitposting roleplay. And this isn’t to brag that I’m some kind of pinnacle of perfection, I’m not, but...

It’s a proof of concept, isn’t it? That if you want to be a better person, the trick is to fake it till you make it, to find someone you think is better than you are and continually ask yourself how they would behave, until it solidifies into habit. I think I’m better and happier than I was because I’ve spent so much time modeling Captain America in a low-stakes, low-impact roleplay that his mannerisms have become mine. I love our roleplay, but I also know that it’s just a game, and that low-stress attitude somehow imprinted deeply on my psyche. 

What I’m trying to say is that I hope you all love yourselves, but that’s hard shit. So if you can’t find it in yourself to love you as you are, find someone in fiction or even in real life that you do love, and maybe make a dumb blog, and give yourself a year where you are that kind of person if only part time, and you will see how quickly you absorb the traits you wish you had. Be shamelessly someone else, someone you wish you were, just part time, without giving too much of a shit about it, and see how it bleeds over into being full-time yourself. 

Dumb, impulsive, loyal, parachute-hating, jello-loving, kitten-cuddling, family-finding, Depression-surviving, lefty commie freak activist Steve Rogers and I both hope in the new year you all have a silly angel on your shoulder helping you to like yourself more than you did.

Myfanwy + Gestalt: A Rambling

I am the only one of my friends that has watched The Rook so I have a lot of thoughts (to say the least). This post--length not defined at the time of writing--is just going to be a rambling on both Myfanwy and Gestalt, two characters whose dynamic I absolutely love and have been dissecting since day 1.

More under the cut to prevent spoilers for anyone who doesn’t want it and to mostly make sure I keep my friendship with Andy without annoying him with this subject. HI ANDY!!!

First things first: pronouns. Myfanwy will be under she/her/hers while Gestalt will be they/them unless I am referring to an individual body i.e. Eliza vs Robert/Alex/Teddy. This is under the condition that even though Gestalt is technically gender non-binary by having both a female and male bodies, they’ve been forced to have identities across the four bodies. Idk man, I’m just making this post as I go along so I’m just trying to get my pronouns straight, k?

Let me start this off by proposing that both characters are tragic. Both have spent formative years in Glengrove being honed like a tool or weapon while being ostracized from the outside world. Gestalt themself have been there since they were a child, knowing only the world of the Checquy, away from their parents, their home country. Think about it, they have never been able to be their true self since arriving at Glengrove because they’ve been told that it not only makes people less wary of them, they can use that to their advantage to run ops.

“The illusion of distinct personalities puts other people at their ease. Which allows me to hide in plain sight.” (1x04)

It must be lonely too, to be thought of as four separate people instead of one person with four bodies. See, even if Eliza, Teddy, Alex, and Robert are all in a circle, it’s still Gestalt looking at...Gestalt. It’s not another individual who can provide a different worldview from different life experiences, it’s one mind, one personality.

“You hadn’t gotten the concept of me yet. Still thought we was all siblings, not all me.” (1x05)

Enter Myfanwy. In the same conversation we figure out that they were all in Glengrove together, a real clue into their shared past (and trauma? Don’t know yet, the whole “Our minds weren’t our own” line from 1x03 makes it seem that their psych department isn’t...great). By the time 1x07 rolls along, it’s pretty obvious that Gestalt is super hung up on Myf, but to what degree? 

“I think the bigger mystery is why you order all these different types of food and it’s just me.” (1x07)

I’m a sucker for fictional couples who form romance out of friendship. That take away food scene at Myf’s flat? My heroin. Sooooo many layers in this one scene. Let’s start with the comfort level for both characters. GESTALT IS IN HER FLAT. Second, Alex is just looking over old records while sitting on the floor while Eliza is scrunched on the couch and Robert is manspreading on a chair. They’ve been there before. This has happened before. On a deeper level, Gestalt keeps saying “I” and “me.” Myf sees them for what they are and they don’t have to hide behind the illusion of being separate because she’s accepted their difference. (She says “You guys heard about...” but I’m gonna let that go as a small blooper).

RANT: Can I just go off on a small tangent here and say that I hate the term “hive mind” when it comes to Gestalt? I know it’s in the book and the show explicitly describe them as such but personally I think it gives off the wrong idea. Hive mind implies that there are individual people with distinct minds that are psychically connected. Think Sense8 or Cylons from Battlestar Galactica. It implies that each person/body has a separate experience from each other only to be connected during certain times within their lives. I’d like to think of Gestalt as a “shared consciousness.” Anything that happens to any of Gestalt’s bodies, they experience. Not one body is dominant, not one personality is the “main” one. Any distinctions from each other is fabricated: accents and mannerisms are learned until each body has muscle memory from it, much like how a person can do a task with one hand while the other can do another (for example, as a lefty, I can write with my left hand but the lack of left-handed scissors made me proficient with using my right hand to cut paper). Sigh...I digress.

Let’s move on to one of my favorite moments between these two, this shit right here:

Yes, it’s in the middle of that very steamy sequence but this moment right here...gets me. Myf’s cutting scars are right in front of Gestalt. These scars are a manifestation of her need to control her powers, her need to suppress them, possibly a way to deal with her very lonely life, and Gestalt isn’t taken aback by the sight of it at all. Robert kisses her scars. In my head it implies one of two things: one, they didn’t know about it and within a millisecond accepts that it’s just a part of Myf. Two, Gestalt knew about it before that night and their acceptance of that secret part of her life came way before that. Either way, this tiny action is them welcoming her difference, her darkness, just like how she’s welcomed theirs. 

“I know you wanted to leave...and if you still do, I won’t be angry but I’ll miss you.” (1x08)

Speaking of acceptance, how mature of Gestalt to understand post-amnesiac Myfanwy and her need to find herself and is wiling to let her go. Considering that from episodes 1 through 6 they’ve had ZERO CHILL when it came to their friendship/one night stand, it’s nice for them to come to this point. (I mean, Teddy had a freak out in the 15 minutes earlier, so I guess the Zero Chill also carried over to this episode.) I guess realizing the once-helpless girl you were in love with just killed a mob boss with her electrical mind powers will do that.

This has gotten WAY too long so I’m gonna stop right here. If you’ve reached this point, congratulations! You’ve just read the thoughts of a madwoman. I don’t even know if this post makes sense. Feel free to share any thoughts you have of these two characters. I’m thinking of doing an overview of all the episodes now the season is over but looking at how I’m writing, it’s gonna have to be in parts. Deuces!

Season’s Beatings!

Bah Humbug! It saddens me to see that the ‘Murican version of Xmas, namely the capitalism-and-consumerism-gone-haywire-on-meth-and-steroids-pseudo-“holiday” that Xmas has devolved into, is slowly but surely creeping its way around the globe. It’s in full force here in Japan, though not quite to the extent of ridiculousness and ridiculosity that prevails back “home” but that’s hardly any consolation. In any case, O my non-existant readers, QUICK GO OUT AND SPEND MONEY YOU AIN’T GOT ON SHIT NOBODY WANTS SO YOU CAN SHOW THEM HOW MUCH YOU CARE ABOUT THEM!!! Meh.

Aaaaaaaaanyway. The Main Insert jacks on my main mixer started giving me the shits so I said fuck both of y’all, yanked those bastards out and replaced ‘em with the new version of the jack and all is fucking well now. Better Soundcraft than Mackie, and better Anything than Mehringer.... Here’s some photos.

This is the offending party. The jacks in question are at the top right. As you can see, they’re a funky kind of Neutrik jack. Weird looking. Not the usual threaded metal receptacle that’s bolted to the front panel. Oh no, it would’ve been more expensive to go with actual threaded-metal-business-end jacks. These Neutriks have plastic jobbies that secure them to the front panel, which as you can see have a + looking indentation into which you insert a coin, and lefty loosey, “click” and off they come. Righty tighty “click” and on they go. I actually have two of these mixers, and I’m sure I posted about them before as I’ve had this same problem with the other mixer and ghetto-fixed that one. This one though, there was no ghetto-fixing, the jack was fucked, so I desoldered both insert jacks and slapped new equivalent Neutriks in there. Nice that they still make them.

I thought it odd that the jack that shat itself had already been circled with pencil. Seems I’m not the only person to have gone on a repair mission with this mixer. And get a load of the sloppy soldering on that other jack at lower left! Fucking hell, people... FLUX REMOVER!! EVER HEARD OF IT?! Slap me upside the face with a semi-sacrilegous salami on sunday.... Aaaargh! Anyway it’s fixed and working perfectly now.

In other news I picked up a weirdo little ancient Fostex 4-channel mixer with a built-in compressor, thinking I’d use it as a sub-mixer for snares from my various drum machines. It’s an MN-15. This one has the four RCA line inputs NOT run to the comp, only the single 1/4” mic/line input gets processed. Hmpf! The newer MN-50 though, seems that one is a re-design, which sends everything through the comp. Well then. I thought I’d just re-route the outs of the four input channels to the in leg of the mic/line slider and that’d be that.

The folks at Fostex are nice as fuck! The PCBs are very clearly labelled! But in the end, it isn’t working exactly as I thought. If you have any of the four channel faders zeroed, the signal cuts out entirely. I mean even if you zero out a channel that has nothing connected to it, the whole works gets silenced. Weird! But! Arturia DrumBrute Impact in da haus. This guy’s been hanging out here for about a month now. The more I play with it the more I like it. Yeah. They really did quite a good job with this. I noodled with the original DrumBrute in a shop but it was a bit too big and the sounds didn’t really do it for me, so I was a bit skeptical about the Impact at first. I thought it was just a smaller, trimmed down version with a madeover front panel and new color scheme but yeah nope. The sounds are really good, the sequencer is loads of fun and quite flexible, all around I’m very satisfied with this little bastard. If I have to say what I don’t like about it, well, the snare needs a bit more punch, and it would be awesome if the knob positions were memorized with each pattern (like the MFB-503 does). Otherwise, it’s a keeper for sure. Oh and this...

That right there is the most beautifulest distortion pedal I done ever laid eyes on. Sounds awesome as fuck too. Man I love this one. The visual element is simply astounding, mesmerizing even. Icing on the cake. Such a fantastic pedal. Currently I’ve got the Volca Nubass run through it, and fuck me sideways do those two get along like a house on fire in a thunderstorm. Perfect pairing. That happened. Well I got it on extended loan from a friend who was letting it collect dust. I totally can’t afford to buy it outright. Maybe we can work out a paymebt plan. Anyway I had a Synth Lite II a while ago, and it was neat but noisy, and had no white noise so I modded it (I’m sure if you look waaaaaaaay back I posted about it here). Dunno why I sold it but I did. This mofo though, yikes. Welcome to Minimoog territory. Well, same neighborhood anyway. 3 VCO POWER!! Ring Mod and Sync too, as well as filter FM and the famous feedback loop, built in. The sequencer is a pain to get your head around but is useful. Through effects, like any other synth, it enters a whole new realm. Speaking of effects...

I have it run through this. As a synth, the nutekt is a fun thing to noodle around on, but with a stereo audio input and three simultaneous effects (mod, delay and reverb, with a number of variations of each), using it as an effects processor is a no-brainer. It is clean as fuck too. Personal favorite is ensemble, ping pong delay, and submarine reverb (which is like anti-shimmer, the pitch-shifted reverb is an octave lower instead of higher). Lots of fun.

A bad day not a bad life.

Today (or yesterday since it's 12:36am as I start writing this) was just really shitty. I was in a fowl mood almost the whole day. I first let internet fandom shit upset me and I shouldn’t have done that. I kind of got past that.

I decided to go to the Village to drop off the new volunteer paperwork and my costume that has been in my closet for over 2 months. I stayed and volunteered gift shop/docent hours because they had no one. I love that place so much and it just made me so happy. But then I also got to overhear one of the interviews and it was for one of the positions I applied for. And based on a lot of the questions asked I’m not exactly a good fit for that job. I’m a way better fit for the other one I applied for there. But the whole thing upset me because this was my first time doing gift shop hours in over a month and first time since I’ve applied for the job openings. It just reminded me how much I love this place how much joy it fills me with and just exactly how crushed I’m going to be if I don’t get one of the jobs. Like I will be more crushed than when I didn’t get into grad school. More devastated than when I had to give up mortuary school and my dream of being a funeral director. And I just can’t take that kind of rejection anymore, especially right now when I’ve been unemployed for almost 2 years. I just can’t keep pouring my heart into things for zero return.

I’m 35 years old and have nothing show for it: no career, no family, no house or apartment of my own, I’m a very interesting, very fascinating, individual with stories to tell and lots of curious information to share. I’m very hard to forget and leave quiet the impression. These things don’t always help you in life. If I was born into money I would have made a great socialite philanthropist.

Looks like they just     Holocaust historians claim that during WW2 almost 900,000 people were killed and buried at Treblinka. And they claim that later the Germans dug up and burned the bodies in order to destroy the evidence. In 1999 a team of experts used an $80,000 Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) device to check for evidence that the soil had ever been disturbed as . They found no evidence of any soil disturbance. They covered the field with 17,000 boulders/stones and called it a memorial.Now you can't run any more Ground Penetration Radar tests - not without moving 17,000 boulders (which are set into concrete).  Of course, doing this would be disturbing a sacred Holocaust "memorial" - which would land you in jail.  Mission Accomplished. The whole Holocaust thing and the way the elite 1% use as a vehicle is very strange and fascinating at same time. Are you not at all curious as to why this is the only genocide event that needs legal protection by throwing "deniers" into jail? Or do you just happily overdose on the forced narratives? Surely the elite would never lie to you. They aren't psychopaths or anything. Trust us. Genuine Question. Why do we hear about the Holocaust over and over in movies, TV shows, documentaries, newspapers, books, etc. but almost never hear about the HUNDREDS of other historical genocides? It seems very weird until you figure out the real purpose of all this. Ask yourself one simple question, How in the world does Israel get away with their mass murder, ethnic cleansing and brutal oppression - if we're going to be honest. Vedddy weird folks, no? This indoctrinates kids with the belief that the Jewish people are "unique" in their historical victim-hood.  This puts Jews at the very top of the victim hierarchy. This was the goal from beginning, since widely believed victim narrative gives you political power, being top of victim hierarchy give you the most political power.  That's why holocaust-ianity causes people to believe that Jews deserve special rights that no one else has. They mean well, but man are they slow. For example, holocaust-ianity means wealthy inbred morons can manipulate Israel and somehow hold ethical exemption to create type of racist country, whether citizens realize or not. Laughable. Israel is diverse. I know 4 that live in Haifa and they travel all over. Lefties, righties, buncha groups. If Mr.Trump just stomped out the major criminal networks we wouldn't even be dealing with any of this bullschiff. Regular citizens always the ones who suffer. It's pathetic. And it wasn’t till 2018 that I was exposed to this how Jewish Supremacists manipulate normal Israelis and normal Americans, and that would explain why America is Israel’s ho. Over last few weeks I’ve been thinking about religions and how there’s really only three major ones, all with some things in common in their stories but with one major commonality, the holy land: I don’t think any of the religions got it right, something could have happened x amount of years ago in my opinion and the religions are essentially people’s versions of the story, most inconsistencies with a few similarities. How would we know. We wouldn't. Could very well be like a game of telephone. I could be wrong though, it could be something else but as I get older my belief in God grows, and idek how to pray to it or what to read about because I don’t think anyone’s got it right. And I'm a Catholic and believe in God. When your team runs the award-giving committee, you tend to win a lot of awards. That said, I have a lot of respect and admiration for the Jewish team. They've got an 'us-against'-the-world' thing going that encourages them work together and achieve some pretty cool things. Unfortunately, 'Us-against-the-world' also implies you can treat everyone who isn't on your team as an enemy combatant. It's this embattled attitude that generates a kind of ruthless, unsympathetic attitude toward players on the other team. And they are FIRST to call out any other group that adopts same strategy. It blows my mind how many people fail to understand this is a MACRO evolutionary strategy for them and they wish to slowly breed out and exile out races they don't like etc. Using Jewish label as a front. Yep, they even gave the White Helmets a Nobel Peace Prize. That shows the level of propaganda they are able to perpetuate against the American people through their mass media apparatus. Tons of Overwhelming Evidence That Israel Supports !slamic Terrorist Groups in Syria. You never hear about the regular, everyday Jews and it's shameful. I obviously know and talk to poor Jewish peeps, but it’s a thing, it’s such a thing to the point that it’s a stereotype. While stereotypes can be offensive or seem irrational because they cast a wide generalization on a large group of people, they exist for a reason and stick around for the same, so they must be true on some level. Not all catholic priests diddle. I went to 2 years of communion classes as boy at a catholic church with other kids and the priests were awesome. That doesn’t take away from the fact that a shitload of kids did get touched and molested by priests on such a large scale that the Vatican was aware. And I have no problem admitting Catholic Church one of most corrupt organizations in world and is used to manipulate masses. Not all Jews are bad or are out to take out America or care to gain influence through high ranking positions. It's all just a game. But we're the ones that suffer and get manipulated. Literally every Jewish person I've befriended, are normal, ethical people who care about living life through what their religion seems just. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Jewish people, both male and female hold lots of highly influential and esteem positions in America, a country mostly made up of Christians when it comes to religious demographic, and these positions are dominated by Jewish people at an alarming inconsistent rate. Try reversing role and doing that shite in Israel. They'll kick you out so fast your head will be spinning. I watched interview one time with David Ben Gurion and the interviewer asked the former prime minister about Israel's nuclear program. (Israel has never admitted to having nukes, though there's lot of anecdotal evidence saying they do have nukes...but no country has inspected Israel's program since JFK. JFK was very suspect of state of Israel. So interviewer asks DBG if Israel has nukes and he replies, "We have enemies". So that's the situation. If you see the rest of the world as an enemy, you can do anything, because, it's for your survival. The truth is simply pointing out facts made from observations in data causes lots of childish triggering and weird deflection on this subject because of the deep history. Pointing out the inconsistency in that blacks make up 13-15% of the US population but over 70% of the prison population shouldn’t cause uproar or anger but rather curiosity and request of answers. Most videos of police officers will have you believe most cops use excessive force and that there is war going on between inner city black people and white pool ice officers. Total nonsense. Obviously not all blacks are criminals, but something’s fishy there. For a fact a lot of black people in prison did something wrong that led directly to their incarceration but the numbers simply hint at some sort of fuckery afoot, that leads to people asking questions. Doesn’t take a five minute duckduckgo search to realize how many blacks are doing hard time for ridiculous non violent drug offenses. Same thing goes for the cops. One of most stressful jobs ever, all day people are lying to you, when you show up to a situation it typically doesn’t mean something great is happening, pulling people over to give them tickets must feel like a shitty thing to do when a quota is set by dept. most are good at their job. It’s the few who we see in videos that show a lack of training and or skill under stressful situations. And same goes for this except when these observations are made immediate malfunction cognitive dissonance ensues. The difference with the outrage is they have a decent influence on so many sectors of this country, you can literally be black balled for life from anything. The collective identity makes sure that you think in terms of Group first and prior to anything else. On top of this, Judaism actively teaches infiltration of positions of power, politics, msm, and so on simply in order to better their chances at survival by group based nepotism. Imo the narratives have been twisted by the winners. This where the whole “history is written by the winners” phrase comes in. You have a full understanding of just how powerful the influence is when it comes to people just simply speaking about, or asking genuine questions etc.

What do you love and admire about D's character? Besides everything XD I'm just interested to hear what other fans love about him.

Thankfully this is a question that can be answered by more than one person. I would love to hear from my partner, and other fans as well =D

From my personal view, I do have a few specific points, not just ‘everything’ because D has his negative aspects too. And that actually ties into one of the aspects that I love/admire.

What I love:

I love that D, as perfect as we like to think he is, isn’t perfect. He may be the all-powerful, albeit reluctant, hero who always saves the day, but like everybody else he has his flaws. He makes mistakes. He makes questionable choices. He has his ‘not so obvious’ insecurities. He has moments where he’s vulnerable. All the typical flaws that makes him seem more human, and makes him more relatable. 

It’s when we can relate to them that characters become so well-liked or wholly beloved. 

And D is relatable in a number of ways. 

For me, to put it bluntly, D is a socially awkward nerd carrying a sword, and I love it. A gorgeous, sassy, adorkable asshole with a heart of gold that likes to tease people and hates to see girls cry. He makes terrible dad jokes that are accidentally hilarious, and whether he likes it or not he has a way with kids that makes him all the more endearing. This is my oxygen! And did I mention his sass? All the sass.

What I admire: 

Despite all of his flaws and vulnerabilities, what makes D admirable is his ability to overcome them so he can succeed - through either his strength of will, or the help he receives from Lefty and/or whomever else happens to be with him. These are my kind of heroes. 

I admire his ability to give zero fucks when the situation calls for it. He doesn’t really care about what people think of him, taking no shit and putting people in their place when needed - even his own father who is, for all intents and purposes, an omnipotent vampire god.

Hallelujah, this sexy bamf.

These are the main points. I could go on, but that would be me gushing like the silly fangirl I am.
