Okay, 13 seats, including Fuuko- this tells us a lot.

Sick was officially an Open quest- Rip wasn't part of the table at that point, and Latla still isn't.

The table evolves at 12 or 13 people- and one of these seats was a reward for Sick's quest.

There's like no way Granpasshin is still in the armor.

Let's go through it.

Burn is back. His reward is based on A Silent Voice.

Summer's reward is too generic for me to pinpoint a specific inspiration - maybe it's a Warhammer, for Harley Quinn?

Both First Ten reward the same thing of two roundtable seats, which is probably what Sick gave, too.

I predicted UMA Beast, but wasn't sure about Language, since Nico soloed Language last loop. I guess this just means either Language doesn't like to fight, or Nico's the fucking greatest.

I'm gonna go with Nico being the greatest.

Given that Summer's here, and Feng still isn't a member, that's gotta be where it happens. Are they gonna give Mui Untruth again?

I feel like some people are misinterpreting Rip, Latla and Leila's relationship...! 😩 Like, I saw someone say that Rip just become a harem protagonist and him dragging Latla to him married was just as bad as Andy groping Fuuko in the early chapters...!! I even saw someone somewhere else say that they can't get behind the marriage because Latla and Leila are sisters...!! LIKE, WHAT!? DO THEY THINK RIP IS GONNA MAKE LATLA AND LEILA MAKE OUT WITH EACH OTHER...!? OF COURSE NOT!! THAT'S AT ALL NOT WHAT WHAT THIS CHAPTER IS ABOUT NOR WHAT IT'S TRYING TO SAY...!!

The way I see it, this marriage is not only about them being married to each other, but it's also about them keeping the promise to be together forever...!! 💗

I saw those same criticisms here and on twitter, and I just can't sympathize

Sure, in real life, you shouldn't drag a woman kicking and screaming to the altar and propose publicly, and in fact shouldn't propose publicly in the first place without explicitly knowing that it's something your partner wants, but this is a story

More specifically, this is a romance - wild, grand gestures that force someone to confront their real feelings rather than allowing them any room to make excuses comes with the territory

Please remember that the whole conceit of this story specifically is that the goal is for everyone to be happy. This situation is designed to make Latla specifically happy

Would a conversation have worked better and been more appropriate for allowing her an opportunity to exercise her own autonomy? Yeah, obviously. Would that have made for as good of television? *John Wick voice* Yeah...not really

It's about the spectacle. It's about the grandiosity. It's about the suspension of disbelief

It's more fun, it's funnier, it's fantastical, it's romantic to see Latla confronting her emotions and blowing up at Rip for trying to break her out of her own preconceptions

And also, yeah: THEY'RE NOT GONNA KISS EACH OTHER!!! THAT'S NOT HOW POLYAMORY WORKS!!! I don't kiss my wife's partner! I don't like the idea of kissing him! I'm not romantically attracted him! Dude's like a brother to me! How we make it work is our problem and our business, just as Rip/Latla/Leila's relationship is theirs!

I think this chapter is more for those sorts of people than it is for us, honestly. To us, it's just giving us what we want. To them, though, it's showing them that the world doesn't have to be as restrictive as they think it is, but it's up to them to be open to that message
