Captain's log, day 2, Bright O'Connor

I love my wifey she's so strong and smart and soft and she can step on me!!!! Oop- let me start over the recorder wasn't supposed to catch that- Bright O'Connor is a woman of the species Naver a race that most resembles Oni of Japanese folklore except with various eye differences from multiple sets of eyes to my wife's pitch black and constantly dripping eyes! She is the best on ship at combat and gives everyone lessons when she isn't busy with her duties as head security officer. We were actually childhood friends before she could tell everyone that she was a she not a he. She grew up in an group home near where I lived on a primarily human colony in the Canson system both of us never having ever seen our species home planets. She didn't dislike living in the group home, it would never be her first choice but she had been there since she could remember which doesn't happen alot with the foster system. We're both trained in combat and war hence why I'm the captain of the ship and she's the security chief; I took more to war training and she to combat but the 2 of us are really competitive people but we always try to make sure that we reassure each other that we love the other more than we love the competition. She is one of the only ones in the ship that knows my brother is adopted which would be great but she also can't keep a secret for the life of her luckily so far the only people she's slipped to is the inner circle of the Captain's team. But I love her to pieces and nothing would change my opinion of her.
