7: best minor character.
werner, my beloved. earlier, i was asked about the show’s saddest moment and i nearly offered up werner’s demise. and i think the very fact that the death of a “minor” character could even be regarded among the most devastating moments on a show with tragedy at its very core speaks entirely to the nature of rainer’s performance and the importance of werner to the story at large, particularly mike’s descent. bonus points for the most heartbreaking last words of any character, i think. i lose more of my own soul every time.
14: favorite howard being bitchy scene.
this one. for a number of reasons, but uhhh. mostly because of parallels that come up later. kim in 5.10 saying she makes her own decisions for her own reasons, and kim in 6.07 dismissing him when he calls her and jimmy on the scam. what is it about these people that makes them so resistant to constructive criticism,
17: best court scene.
chicanery’s final act, which i discuss at length in this post.
24: scene that made me the angriest.
he was so evil for this. and in the very next scene, telling kim to bust the speed limit so she could afford to stay with him a few minutes to celebrate sandpiper settling... he brought zafiro anejo! literally asking the woman who’s gotten maybe four hours of sleep all week to do shots and then get behind the wheel of a car. and then speed in order to arrive at her meeting on time. insane.

26, 31, 37 and 40 for the ask game

26. Fav non romantic relationship in the show
Ooooh this is a tough one. I have to say I really enjoyed Mike and Nacho...
From the beginning, where Mike saved him from a wrong decision and helped him execute his plan, almost being a mentor to him, to the way Mike stood up for Nacho in front of Gus... He really cared about him, seeing how badly he wanted to get away from that life, but the way it ended for him, a tragedy... Mike's reaction was really sad. And I do think later on Jesse reminded him of Nacho in more than a few ways (same) and luckily this time around it worked out.
Other ones I really liked were: Mike and Kaylee, Howard and Chuck, Jimmy and Chuck (the angst), Nacho and his dad, Nacho and Lalo (you said non romantic though duh). Oh and Jimmy and Marco was fun too.
31. Favorite character
Normie tumblr girl moment but KIMBERLY WEXLER!!!
I love Kim so much! I don't talk about her enough but she's so aehfiehfkdj like. She is Jimmy's partner (in crime) but he never steamrolls over her because she knows when to tell him off ("Jimmy, you are always down") and it's almost like she's his moral center in the beginning of the show... but then begins her gradual moral decay when they take the piss out of Ken Wins... and in the end here she's the one orchestrating Howard's downfall? Getting off on it too? Insanity. I'm so scared for her. She's also super smart and competent and brave! When she stood up to Lalo my jaw dropped! She was ready to go look for Jimmy out in the desert all on her own! And the fact that she takes on pro bono cases and helps the little guy. So many feelings about Kimmy i'm all bubbly just thinking about her... may she never girlboss too close to the sun. Also she's hot so there's that.
Other honorable mentions: I really like Jimmy too, Nacho makes me sad, Lalo makes me wanna bite through a neck, and I really started to like Howie lately (clown moment).
It's kinda interesting to me how Gus doesn't shine that much in BCS, he's one of my favs in BrBa. Mike got a lot of attention in BCS and that's awesome (esp. like him with Kaylee).
37. Best montage
Another normie moment but Something Stupid lives in my head rent-free. I got the song stuck in my head and I've been listening to it a lot lately (it's so damn catchy and soothing!).
As for the montage itself. god. Love the way it's shot - the split screen, the barrier that's between Jimmy and Kim, their different lines of work, their daily routines... and yet they love each other. without ever saying the words. It reminds me of their wedding too, how it's all practical on the surface, but I bet it makes them both very happy (it makes me very happy too).
40. Best song they used in the show
Something Stupid is up there but I have to go with The Winner Takes It All because I love ABBA and the scene itself breaks my heart!
It's my favourite flashback, I think. I didn't expect Chuck to show up again and the way this scene plays to both his and Jimmy's characters and their relationship is so visceral. There's so much to unpack there but here's the highlights:
-how jimmy is the "party animal" and how reserved chuck is
-we know jimmy can sing or at least that he's got some musical hearing so i highly doubt he wouldn't sing that bad on purpose. i think he just wanted chuck to get up there and have a good time
-chuck doesn't want it at first but he gets into it probably because he's being baited by jimmy's horrible singing and he slays
-they have some very sweet moments there together and then jimmy steps back, mission accomplished, and it's just,, just,,,
-the aftermath when we see chuck taking care of jimmy once... he's capable of that... and we are left to wonder why did it have to go so horriblg wrong..... pain.
-also kim in the flashback is so cute that is all
