FLASH REPORT: Shane Bernabe rocked at the Final Showdown of 'The Voice Kids: Philippines' [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]

SANTA ROSA, LAGUNA -- The semi-finals of The Voice Kids: Philippines (Season 5) aired last Sunday night (May 14th, 2023 -- Manila local time) at the ABS-CBN Studios in Quezon City, Metro Manila as 9 young contestants in separate team coaches are now down to 3 at the Final Showdown. The remaining contestants gave their all in their song renditions, which will take place in a 5th season finale to conclude on Saturday night next week (May 20th, 2023). The LIVE results show featured numerous breathtaking performances that left coaches, studio audiences and viewers are on the edge of their seats.
South Luzon's Kiddie Pop Rockstar named Shane Bernabe from Santa Rosa, Laguna introduced an electrifying OPM (Original Pinoy Music) performance of Upuan by Gloc-9 and Jeazell Grutas, making her way to the final showdown as the top public votes with a spectacular average final voting score of 54.42% and was part of coach Bamboo Belardo Mañalac under Kamp Kawayan.
Sab Paica, who is a heartfelt singer from Santo Tomas, Batangas completed Zack Tabudlo's Binibini and was managed to secure a voting score of 18.74%.
And Princess Jilianne Cañete, who's also a versatile vocalist from Antipolo, Rizal sang her version of Magkaibang Mundo by Katrina Velarde, receiving a final voting score of 26.83%. Cañete and Paica are also a part of the said team coach overnight.
If Bernabe wins from the Semi-Finals to the Final Showdown against the last 2 young contestants as expected in the Grand Finals, it would be an immense accomplishment on the dot. The pressure would be high for the young singing sensation, as she could be going through off towards different gifted vocalists vying for the pinnacle spot.
The winner of The Voice Kids: Philippines (Season 5) will receive a cash prize of PHP1M (roughly U$D18,000) and a management & recording contract from Universal Music Group Philippines Inc. (UMGPi). Regardless of the outcome, all 3 semi-finalists under Kamp Kawayan of Mañalac gave marvelous performances deserving of recognition, and we cannot wait to look forward who will take her title as The Voice Kids: Philippines champion.
Viewers will be able to watch the Grand Finals of The Voice Kids: Philippines (Season 5) LIVE on DWLY-TV 38’s Kapamilya Channel: Laguna, DZOE-TV 11’s A2Z: Manila and DZET-TV 28’s TV5: Baguio on Saturday night next week at 7pm (Laguna local time).

Gabing 'di malilimutan
Sa pagsalubong ng Bagong Taon, ang Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Highstreet ay naging isang malawak na entablado ng kasiyahan at musika. Ang NYE Countdown ay hindi lamang isang pagdiriwang ng pagtatapos ng taon kundi isang pagpapakita ng sining at talento ng mga Pilipino at internasyonal na mga artista.
Ang aking karanasan ay nagsimula sa isang masarap na tanghalian/hapunan sa Texas Roadhouse, kung saan ang bawat kagat ng steak ay tila nagpapahiwatig ng masaganang taon na darating. Pagkatapos kumain, kami ay naglibot sa BGC, isang lugar na kilala sa makabagong arkitektura at sining na nakapalibot sa bawat sulok. Kahit maaga pa lamang, ang dami ng tao ay nagpapahiwatig na ng isang gabi na puno ng enerhiya at sigla.
Habang papalapit ang oras ng pagtatanghal, ang pag-asa at pananabik sa bawat isa ay kapansin-pansin. Ang anim na oras ng paghihintay ay tila isang pagsubok ng pasensya, ngunit ang bawat minuto ay nagkakahalaga sa sandaling nagsimula na ang pagtatanghal. Ang liwanag ng mga ilaw, ang lakas ng tunog, at ang indak ng musika ay nagdala sa amin sa isang mundo na malayo sa pang-araw-araw na buhay.
Ang lineup ng mga artistang nagtanghal ay parang isang perlas na sunod-sunod na lumitaw mula sa dagat. Ang bawat hakbang at himig nila ay nagdala ng isang espesyal na enerhiya na nagpapalakas ng loob at nagpapasigla ng damdamin ko kahit ako'y pagod na. Ang kanilang pagtatanghal ay nagbigay kulay sa kalangitan ng BGC, at ang bawat galaw at himig ay sinalubong ng mga masigabong hiyawan at palakpakan.
Ang apat na oras ng mga makapigil hiningang pagtatanghal ay lumipas na parang isang iglap, puno ng saya, sayaw, at musika. Ang bawat kanta ay nagbigay buhay sa mga alaala at pangarap para sa bagong taon. Ang NYE Countdown sa BGC ay hindi lamang isang kaganapan, kundi isang pagsasama-sama ng sining, kultura, at komunidad na nagdiriwang ng pag-asa at bagong simula.
Sa pagtatapos ng gabi, ang langit ng BGC ay nagliwanag sa makulay na mga paputok, na tila mga bituin na sumasayaw sa ritmo ng pag-asa.
Ang NYE Countdown ay isang karanasan na hindi ko malilimutan, isang gabi na nagbigay inspirasyon at nag-iwan ng marka sa puso ng bawat isa. Sa pagpasok ng bagong taon, ako ay umuwi na may bagong sigla at pag-asa, handa na harapin ang anumang darating na may ngiti at bukas na puso.
