So let me try to summarize Magolor’s entire character arc because MY GOD, this guy went through a lot and I appreciate him so much now. (Spoilers down below!!!)
Starts as a simple interdimensional traveler with big aspirations and a mischievous sense of humor.
Learns about the Master Crown and goes on a perilous journey to seek its power.
Meets Kirby and Friends and attempts to manipulate them to get what he wants. While he showers them with praise, he questions why Kirby is so willing to help a stranger like him.
Finally gets the Master Crown and backstabs his new friends, but slowly becomes corrupted by its power and indulges in his selfish desires.
After being defeated by Kirby, he is sent to another dimension, losing not only his powers and the friendships he had made. And he is ultimately hopeless in an unknown world with no one to support him...
Travels through this new dimension and slowly regains his powers. But he also reflects on his actions and regrets betraying his friends, wishing he could spend time with them again.
Confronts the Master Crown, the very thing he was searching for, and realizes the extent of its destructive power. Wanting to put an end to its devastation and atone for his misdeeds, he uses all of his power to destroy it once and for all.
Finds himself in an alternate universe where he can start fresh by opening a shop. He knows that this Kirby in this world isn’t the Kirby he once knew, but the least he can do is to help him out in a genuine manner.
Comes back to his original universe and tries to make amends with Kirby by helping him defeat a new evil. (This is assuming he came back during the events of Star Allies.) Although he knows that what he did to Kirby was unforgivable, he is relieved that Kirby is kind enough to be friends with him again. He finally realizes how valuable their friendship is to him.
Uses the savings he had earned to build an amusement park, something he had always wanted to do since the beginning. He was able to bring joy to others, including Kirby. He had achieved his life long dream and is thankful to all the friends who helped him reach this far.

It seems that the Lor is a bit apprehensive about Magolor talking about his experience clawing his way back to life from the torn dimensions. Still, he might explain more if prompted. It appears to be traumatic, however. Probably best not to push too hard on the topic.

Some time ago, Magolor crashed on Planet Popstar and the events surrounding the repair of the Lor Starcutter occurred. Following his escape from the aftermath of his actions, Magolor eventually reunited with the space galleon that had ferried him through the chaos of the ordeal.
After some tinkering (and apologies of varied sincerity all around), Magolor has decided to give up some mischief, now using the Lor for a noble business venture: ride sharing. He spends time between passengers working on the Lor, and they spend that time trying to keep Magolor from involving himself in more harebrained schemes by gently guiding him towards the development of a proper moral compass.
Even if it takes bribing him sometimes with gem apples... Sigh.
