4 - The emperor
“Again”, the wizard's authoritative voice rings in the hall. He is circling the boy like a wild cat circling his prey. His eyes never leave the boy and his form, his arms and posture need to be perfect, he expected nothing less.
The boy flails his hands in a movement that sends a couple of shimmering speckles flying from his fingers that soon fizzle out. A poor attempt at a spell.
“You want fire, not kindling”, he steps beside the boy and straightens his arm, making an intricate move with his wrist and fingers. A ball of flame appears in front of him and soon disappears as he drops the spell, “Again”.
“Please, I just need a break,” the boy says, the wizard could pick up on the quiver of his lips and voice. He lifts his arm to wipe his eyes with his sleeve, hiding the tears threatening to prickle out.
A part of Konstantin feels pity for the boy, he admittedly is going harder on him than he goes for his students at the academy. But this boy isn’t just any student, he is the crown prince. His students at the academy had earned their way to his tutelage through hard work. This boy only has his blood to make him stand out from the rest. Being born to the right family gives you the world, should you take it.
It wasn’t the boys fault. No one ever asks to be born to a certain circumstance. And at nine years old, he doesn’t quite know what his circumstance entails. He is handed everything on a silver platter, whatever his father demands for his prodigy. That entails the best tutors to anything the city has to offer, and arcane training was no different. Never regarding whether he deserves the best.
Initially the emperor had wanted the headmaster of the academy to personally tutor his heir, but he had politely declined and offered the vice headmaster in turn, since he had more free time, not much, but enough to satisfy the demands of the emperor. Konstantin would rather be anywhere else than teaching a nine year old, who by academy standards couldn’t even get in, some basic magic he himself could do blindfolded and hands tied.
It seems neither of them are happy with the arrangement.
“Do you think you’ll get breaks as the emperor?” Konstan places his arms behind his back and looks down at the boy. It is not a rhetorical question, his father was always somewhere, sorting out the palace business, the city business, the empire business. He rarely met with his own son. A pity really, the boy had everything but a family.
The boy mumbles under his breath and shakes his head, he knows the answer.
“So try again, I don’t have all afternoon to wait for you to get it right”
The boy takes a deep breath, throws his arms out, once more reciting the somatic components of the spell. With nothing to show for his effort.
The wizards tuts disapprovingly. By this point most of the apprentices would’ve already gotten the hang of things, granted they are already older teens by the point they join the academy. It’s like asking a patisserie to show a student how to make layered dough before the student even knows how to crack open the eggs.
He sighs and presses his finger to the bridge of his nose, racking his brain on ways to turn this around. The boy is not as exceptional as his father perceives him. Yet it’s not the boy’s fault he’s in this situation. He’s only nine, he shouldn’t be this frustrated at a child. Yet he resents how he is handed everything and everything is expected of him. And if he won’t master at least a handful of spells so that his father may parade him around, it’s going to be his own head at the spike if he doesn’t deliver.
The boy is close to bursting into tears after the last, yet another, failed attempt. Staring intently at the floor and balling his fists and biting his lip. His tears drop onto the marble floor.
“Okay,” Konstantin gathers his thoughts, “Let’s try another angle, has anyone told you of protective magic?”

Hi guys. Help please :)
This is another casting call, I'm working on another series. (Fucking shocking I know) and we need voice actors.
Okay into the post now.
Me, @kislovpegger , and @moonstonejackal are making an animated series called The Rusty Nails (TRN for short) and basically it's about a three boys trying to balance their lives and their shitty band. Antics ensue, it's supposed to be a dark slice-of-life sort of thing. The series has an aesthetic based off grunge music. I'll put a few pictures up here, drawn by all of us.
Ginger is Konstantin, Black hair is Vasily, Red shirt is Pissfingers, and Nirvana shirt is Paintball.
These are the four characters who appear the most. Kostya, Vasya, and Piss are the main characters though. Paint is just kind of there a lot.
Now, this is just an advertisement for the pilot.
Vasya, Piss, Paint, and Vanya have voice actors already.
Here are the guys we need.
Konstantin (as before mentioned)
Stoner, chill, and clinically depressed. Do with that what you will.
Polaroid (Valery)
Tired, film student, and works minimum wage at a job he despises.
The next two are minor background characters.
Masha
Shy, horrible social skills, band kid
Sergei
Closeted FTM, awkward, and quiet.
Yeah that's pretty much it.
We are also broke so we can't pay you, but if this seems like fun then go ahead.
You don't need to be professional, you just need to be 13 or older and have a decent mic.

i just know eve goes all out for sana's birthday... so many presents and balloons (either heart shaped or animal shaped)... biiiig cake of her favorite flavor... only her favorite songs playing all day long... doing all her favorite things (which to be fair consists mostly of spending hours cuddled up with mommy, watching kids movies)... in the afternoon some of their friends come by, bringing presents too (konstantin, some friends they made in their new home town (((like meredith))), eve even invited benita & pam)
eve first thought about dedicating the entire day to just them both but then decided against it because... well, she wants to make sure oksana sees that she's loved and cared for and that people remember her birthday and want to celebrate with her/are happy for her. since she knows most of the girl's birthdays so far have been spent alone, either having been forgotten or purposefully ignored. she wants to fill her baby's special day with as much love from as many people as possible, to block out the memories of the bad birthdays and replace them with new memories of good & happy ones <3

Rebels Rewatch: "Secret Cargo"
Mon Mothma is a badass, that is all.
Hello another one of my husband's favorite episodes.
So much story expressed in just body language and establishing shots. The Ghost is waiting--apparently they've been there a while if they're willingly listening to holonet news--and they're all anxious and bored.
So the Ghorman Massacre, if previous Legends canon still holds, is that incident I mentioned way back when, when Tarkin landed a Star Destroyer on top of a group of protestors, implicitly with Palpatine's permission.
And can we just admire the sheer balls on this woman? Mon makes this pretty speech in the Senate chamber while it's in session.
Meaning she called Palpatine a "lying executioner" to his face.
Legends canon also holds that right after this, she personally hand-delivered the Declaration of Rebellion to his desk.
Yeah. I love her.
Heeeeeey good thing they established how utterly creepy these droids were back in "Warhead" because I see it and now I'm filled with dread.
The sound design for these things is still excellent.
Love how Ezra can tell different dialects of Binary apart in order to know the probe "speaks Imperial". He be learning behind the scenes yo.
(In more ways than one, as we'll soon find out.)
The way they draw out this suspense as the probe makes another round is great, quick teamwork and fast reflexes almost had the thing once it was within range.
Intense Ezra is intense. :)
The Ghost takes in a Y-wing in yet another cool utilization of its cargo hold.
Too bad these pilots are ungrateful. "You're making things harder for all of us!" Awwww boo hoo is the tyrannical authoritarian government getting even more tyrannical and authoritarian because it's finally being pushed back against? That's an occupational hazard, people. You're in a rebellion, it's not going to be cake and ice cream.
"It would have been prudent to avoid detection, as ordered." The probe was literally on top of them looking in their windshield, I think it was long past having detected them.
But enough griping about Gold Squadron's backseat rebellion-ing, let's get some more action!
One of the Y-wing pilots conveniently gets taken out so Ezra can take their place and I love this expression from Gold Leader:
He's just like, "Really? This upstart kid?"
But Hera has complete faith in him, awww.
Ezra looks really good in a Y-wing helmet. I don't think he keeps this one, he only seems to collect Imperial helmets.
*ANGELIC CHORUS*
Faslfhaksjfh pretty sure fandom winced when Ezra said the cursed line but! In this case nothing bad happened. Guess we broke the curse.
And now we learn just why the Rebellion loved using Y-wings so much. Two attacks from two fighters and they absolutely cripple this light cruiser.
His face is too pure sometimes. T_T
I really like how Mon is characterized here, Rebels really leans into her Paragon qualities. She sounds like a woman who's tried her best and is finally fed up, and you absolutely believe in her capacity as a Rebel leader. I think one of the reasons I'm reluctant to watch Andor is how they handle Mon. I'm not really a fan of "graying" my heroes.
Dantooine namedrop!
Four Star Destroyers hovering over Capital City now, come on guys that's excessive.
The beginning notes of Thrawn's leitmotif play softly here, in glockenspiel it sounds like, before switching to the iconic organs. As a side note, since they have Kiner for the Ahsoka show please please let there be some theme carryover from the show.
Thrawn already knows Hera's tactics well enough to deduce where she's going to go; through a risky, little-used smugglers corridor in a nebula. Him sending Pryce and Konstantine to head her off I don't actually think was him setting them up to fail, because for all intents and purposes they had the Ghost dead to rights, Hera was just a bit too creative and clever and managed to slip free.
Why is this show so good at coll menacing shots for Thrawn?
Mon speaking to another one of the archthemes of Star Wars: When to keep fighting inside a flawed system versus when to break from it and burn it all down. There's no real easy or right answer. Bail, and Padme, and Mon worked for years within the system, both of the Republic and the Empire, trying to change it from the inside. The Republic, for all its flaws and problems, could have been salvaged if enough people cared enough to fight for it, and absent Palpatine's influence of course. The Empire on the other hand, is rotten to the core, from the top down, the entire hierarchy and infrastructure designed to deprive its citizens of rights and due process and basic freedoms and control them under an oppressive hand.
Which isn't to say that continuing to fight against the Empire's rule from the inside, in the government halls rather than on the streets, was a worthless endeavor. Not all political conflicts can be solved by direct action. But it does take wise discernment to know when to start openly opposing a corrupt system.
Mon has apparently reached that breaking point.
This whole conversation is just... nice.
Hello yes, someone order some fresh scenery porn?
Ezra gushing about how Hera's "the best around" awww.
The Empire shows up, Vult Skerris now shoved in a TIE Defender, as if he wasn't a hassle enough in a regular TIE, and Ezra tries to warn the others about the Defender to no avail, we lose a couple redshirts.
This music cue is gorgeous, the animation on the nebula is gorgeous, I know I'm not being super verbose this rewatch but this episode is just so nice.
The way the Interceptors just melt, the bits that peel off the Ghost...
This music cue is much more relaxed than the wailing chorus at the end of "Journey Into The Star Cluster", more like a track you'd hear in a nature documentary, maintaining its sense of subtle awe and wonder even as a danger is narrowly escaped.
Love that Mon immediately knows she needs to stall for time so that Hera can think up something. She's fitting into the Rebellion already, knows her people well. :)
Also hilarious how her stalling tactic is a laundry-list of political demands.

Rebels said beware tyrants trying to control you for your own (or "the greater") good.
This whole ending bit is just so... optimistic. There's a sense of hope and heroism, of dawn breaking after a long night. Things are clear cut, there is evil and we must stand against it.
And finally the true Rebel Alliance is born. :)
Ahhhhhhhh I love this episode I love it, it feels almost chill in pacing and tone but that sense of clarity of purpose, that OT feel, it's just beautiful, this is just a pleasant episode.
Even knowing what happens in the finale can't fully dampen the spirit of this one.

About AU in general: all the characters are humans in the modern life.
He actually is a little bastard. Total mischief, total cunning, total agility, mutton stubbornness and shamelessness - it's all him.
He is one of those people who, for example, can stand naked in front of a mirror at 4am and squeal with a bottle of port wine and a frog in his hands.
Mairon used to be a latent punk(:D) before dealing with Melkor. After that he was no longer afraid to show his fucked-up nature because he can.
I unreasonably headcanon that he has an accent on the similarity of German or Russian, something like roaring so please pretend that you understand me🥲... ... . .
I've been thinking for a long time about his specific affiliation within the punk community. His filthy soul lies towards crust punk and thrash punk mostly.
His dada and mama Aule and Yavanna and his brudas Curumo and Aiwendil love him unbelievably despite his punk ways and shitty behavior. At least they can say "Yeah, he's dumb, but he's ours"
He grew up in the blandest, most cookie cutter suburb imaginable with Very Wholesome parents Aule and Yavanna who don’t understand his punk ways but support him to an embarrassing amount. (addition by @the-ring-wasnt-even-pretty)
He has freckles! but! I found out that people sometimes get freckles only in the spring. SO MAIRON DOES!!¡!
Mairon and Melkor have always had a specific relationship. They are, of course, very close friends for many years, and therefore they are not at all shy of each other and can easily ask for anything. By saying "anything", I really mean "anything"... But there is no emphasis on their pair or sth, it is a bromance.
He is Melkor's «Meowron» and Melkor is Mairon's «Meowkor». Don't blame them.
He and Thuringwethil paint each other's nails💅
Mairon manually sews himself cool punk clothes. In the evenings he sits with a charmingly intelligent look, sewing up tears on the ass of his favorite torn jeans.
Mairon loves plushies, kittens, puppies and other cuties. And does not hide it. He feeds street animals. what can you say...

So~ the other Terrovania Members interactions with my four? (Haru, Rosabel, Chiharu, and Miyoko)
Okay this might be long since there's 5 of them so, it might be under the cut just in case
-Aubrey
Like most, she looks after Rosabel,it's her duty as her upperclassman! But Haru would probably get her ire with his pranks. Though they should be fine.
Chiharu and Miyako wouldn't interest her too much for their intimidating/sleepy personalities respectively. (Aubrey would treat them nicely in the infirmary, no bad temperament when they aren't human)
-Idris
Idris usually avoids everyone because he's sick but probably likes Rosabel, thinks she's a sweet kid, reminds him of orphans he grew up with. Haru probably got a few shrieks from him, this almost 3 meter ancient man is intact easily scared despite everything.
He'd appreciate calmness of Chiharu, but avoids her as he does with most people... Plus she's a little scary.
Idris probably wakes Miyako up from her random sleeping places, he does it since she probably should sleep in her own bed. He's trying to be polite.

Raphael sees all of them as muses, obviously! He's a man that thrives off art, he doesn't talk to them but quietly watches and draws them (and that's if he leaves his room) he probably don't notice any of them even if they are right in front of him or unless they try taking a look at what he's drawing, which he won't probably take well.
Maybe on the topic of art, Miyako could be closer, she's an inspiring artist so he'd love to talk with her.

The easiest out of everyone: she doesn't care, they have no value to her other than being people she knows in school. She's an idol after all she has much more important things, important people to remember!
Expect a few underhanded comments from her.

Konstantin being the gentleman he is would probably look after Haru and Rosabel, scolding Haru for being so reckless with his scares while making sure Rosabel isn't lost anywhere, he's quite friendly with both of them like a fun uncle you can't wait to see from a trip.
What a strong lady! Though Chiharu would probably find him irritating as he enjoys teasing his dormmates, he can't help it <3 they are all so adorable, he would comment on her chill personality as he likes her quiet nature.
I think for similar reasons as Chiharu, Miyoko might not like Konstantin but they can get along on the topic of art, as a noble man he is very interested in all types of art! He might introduce her to his other family members.

i made some family trees for my rescueverse kids using this website! just some of them, like tolys has two brothers but that's the extent of that tree that i've got sorted out w/ no other interesting familial connections to other characters.
edit: the order of the pics gets fucked up on my blog, sorry about that! put '[pic #]' under reach space one of the pics is supposed to be among the text
you have to have a person selected so there's a bold-outlined person in each of these screenshots, which is either done at random or to show the maximum amount of people. also i manually made the nonbinary characters' blocks purple BUT the website does allow for nonbinary family members! those blocks are just white and i thought that was boring. grayed out names indicate deceased family members, thicker lines connecting couples indicate an existing relationship while thinner lines indicate exes.

starting off with the kotovs! this is the only one containing named grandparents because Lubov is at her base loosely inspired by 1P nyo general winter, so she gets to be there. technically all my russian grandfathers are named at least b/c i've got everyone's patronymics sorted out but god that would've gotten messy.
i tried to keep siblings in order of age but that didn't always work out. maxim IS older than konstantin, but yevgeny is older than asya. there was an option to add birthdays so i'm not sure if that would've shuffled things around but i didn't have the patience for that so it's FINE.
i'm not fully set on zhana and tanya being only children, though they are right now. i've thought about sergey having more cousins on his mom's side of the family before but hm. i don't know.
this tree also gets totally fucked in fallen au because of what i've done to asya's parent situation. here's the fallen au family tree below

why did i do this to myself. like i love asya's story in fallen and how she has to work on healing her personal relationship with being a changeling but god why did i do this to myself. had to edit this in CSP to get the full tree to show.
debated over making yevgeny maxim's son still in this au or making him [bio dad]'s son; i've drawn him as a changeling before but like is that really a good enough reason to scooch him around. really there's no good reason for any of this, and asya hasn't addressed having a half-brother in fallen, so i finally decided to leave him on the changeling side of the family. THEN i debated making asya and yevgeny full siblings instead of half siblings but. no. i've fucked up things enough as it is.
no idea what sergey's family's surname is in fallen. it can't be kotov/kotova because that'd make no sense. maybe i just make it lebedev/lebedeva and just make it so zhana kept [bio dad]'s surname. i don't know. i don't know!

ANYWAY the orlovskys! the lighter line connecting ivan to the belyakovs indicates they're his foster parents, with the rest of that family not showing in this screen. i tried to edit the two trees together but i don't think it was super clear. ivan had a lot of foster families but the belyakovs were the ones he was the closest to, so it felt important to include them in his tree. avdotya and kseniya had some foster families as well, of course, but i haven't thought on them much beyond the fact that the kids didn't stay connected with any of them.
i wanted to include the bryants, another family crucial to ivan's development/backstory, but they only let you add a secondary set of parents, no more. alas. the bryants actually adopt him in at least one AU (doctor horrible au) so i feel bad not having them on here but alas!!
alyona and nikolay being only children is canon, and both of their parents predeceased them. the orlovsky kids didn't have any living relatives after the house fire, aside from each other.

and then the belyakovs! again, they had several foster kids over the years, but ivan's the only one that reconnected later on in life and stuck around after that, so he gets to be in the tree. he's got complicated feelings about considering himself part of this family tbh but he's ON THE TREE.
idk if klara and ilya are only children, so there might be cousins out there i haven't sorted out. if i do come up with them i'll update this post, but for now it's just them. my parents have three siblings each and i've got uhhh i think. eleven cousins i think? so these trees seem way too small compared to my frame of reference. which is why i'm overthinking the aunts/uncles thing a bit. it's fine. it's fine

finally, the o'lorcains! and the gibsons i guess. lyle has a surname now.
considered marking eamon as deceased but i think he's only dead in gta au. as a kindness to cian i'm making the decision that eamon's only dead in gta au.
it's an in-joke in this family that after madigan and erin, it's just all boys all the way down. madigan has four sons, erin has one son, shea has two sons. they thought grant broke the streak at first but then lyle came out and order was restored.
lyle is technically cian's first cousin once removed but cian just refers to him as his nephew. i think that's not uncommon for that familial connection? doesn't matter, that's his nephew.
i think flynn might also be married but i know he doesn't have any kids yet so i'm not too pressed to name his spouse. eamon's a mystery to me.
cian's tree can also get fucked up a bit depending on the AU, since there are AUs where arthur is his brother. i don't know how that works out with [gestures at tree] all this but oh well.

more dream characters
every time I draw from my dream it doesn’t end up looking good because I do it in such a hurry to not forget them.

In the dream I was mostly in the POV of Quent. I don’t remember what gender they were so we’ll go with whatever. They moved in with their older adoptive or half-brother, Konstantin. I think he lived by himself in this cluttered, kind of dirty house in the middle of the forest. He was implied to either have a slight hoarding issue or problems with executive functioning, because he mentioned that he wanted to clean up before Quent arrived but couldn’t muster the energy/strength to do so.
There were also more brief appearances of Konstantin’s/Quent’s father and grandmother. Their father was apparently religious and brought Konstantin up on it, to his son’s own detriment. They didn’t have a good relationship. But Quent seemed to be some sort of theist. The grandmother was around a little bit when Quent was coming home from school, and helped the boys clean up after Quent complained about little dead bugs all over his mattress (to quote: Q- “I can’t even eat them! He also had a magic cloud in his room, and it was so weird to experience the sensation of floating in this dream. It was strangely nice though.
The next morning Konstantin took Quent to school in this old black car. But before leaving, Quent looked through this weird drawer for... something. I don’t remember what it was. But he didn’t find it. So Quent got to school, where he met up with this kid (I... assume they didn’t know each other before, despite how friendly and open Quent was with them). There was this group of other students making fun of the kid and calling them the r-word, to which Quent responded by threatening the person who said it. At first he (the person) tried to laugh the threat off, but Quent quickly managed to make him genuinely unnerved. Worth mentioning that both Quent and their friend were pretty much outright stated to be neurodivergent.
When Quent left school, they ended up being chased by these two or three kids. After narrowly avoiding being caught, they found the magic cloud and escaped using it. After this encounter, Quent wonders if he should carry a knife to school (yeah, ‘cause that would be a totally cool idea, Quent).
Also, speaking of the magic cloud, I remember Konstantin pulling Quent around on it. Leash kid moment
Then Quent was back at home, and if I remember correctly it was snowing. They also saw a long shack outside with grandma’s clothes hung up in it. Wondered if that was all her clothes in there. There were clothes in random closets, which turned out to apparently be for this group of teen girls and one boy. This group of teens spreads ghost stories about grandmama and lives in the closest neighborhood, though they meet in an old abandoned treehouse in the forest.
At home, Quent holds his monkey toy as he watches this weird old vhs thing in their room at midnight. In conclusion, nobody in this house is neurotypical.

i do think vil’s interactions with children are so interesting.
i think about their introduction scene (them trying to smile at the little girl in the ice cream shop and then spilling ice cream on them lmao) and also them killing the boy in the hospital, and also konstantin’s daughter and then their brothers. i think they’re petulant like a child but simultaneously have an understanding of children because of the fact that they were treated as an adult from an early age (their mother telling them they were bad since birth because of showing obvious signs of autism and also ASPD, etc), and then were just exploited and groomed from then onward with quite literally no one to protect them. they understand how to talk to a kid in a way that’s typically extremely validating.
i do think vil is great with kids/younger people (and better with them than adults), and it’s because they speak and act so plainly with them. just interesting, that’s all.

BUT I bet in James’ mind, he’s for sure been pretending and this whole time whenever he’s been sitting boo-boo faced in the corner moping, he’s been planning out how to tell Teresa and going over the plan of how she’s going to “die” and they’re going to disappear. So he could tell her and they could execute it perfectly when the right time presented itself. Right? And that’s all going to be shoved into like the last few minutes of the finale, isn’t it?
Ah okay so sniper James is going to shoot Teresa through the window to make Devon think he followed orders. They WERE multitasking in bed. 😂😂

OC lore part 1 of 7 for @gear-redfield
Since I have a ton of ocs I’m gonna start off with the ones that are in different fandoms and then work my way through the fandoms I have multiple ocs for. I think I’m gonna do 5-6 HCs for them so it won’t be a mile long. The other ocs I’ll go into more details (maybe).
Riley Sanders (Metro Series)
Has three Watchers for pets, they’re her babies. But there was barely any room on the Aurora for them until they ended up getting the other rail carts. They tend to sleep anywhere they want, mostly in place where they stop people from moving around the train.
She’s not very talkative, likes to keep to herself for the most part. The people she talks with the most is Ulman, Artyom, Anna and Duke. That was until Katya and Nastya joined them.
Being able to breathe fresh air was kind of liberating for her. It made her happy that there were placing where you can live and breathe on the surface, not stuck in the dark, cold and damp metro.
Besides her and Ulman, Nastya was the first of the Aurora crew to hold their son.
Her brother wasn’t with her when that whole issue on the train occurred. He has no idea if she’s alive or not and she vice versa. She’s hoping she’ll be able to see him soon and have him meet his new nephew.
Amazing at stealth. Can sneak by a group or camp in a matter of minutes without killing anyone.
Kenadee “The Viper” Taylor (Ghost Recon)
She joined the US Army right out of high school with her high school sweetheart, Maverick. They married a year later and a year after that had their daughter Addison.
Joined Delta Force at the age of 24. That whole selection process was rigorous but very rewarding.
She has a very happy outlook on life, always bubbly. You wouldn’t think she’s apart of Delta. It throws people off every time.
Lost her husband in the field when their daughter was 5 years old. She retired after that and moved back to her hometown of San Diego where she could raise their daughter in a better environment.
Joined Nomad’s Ghosts five and a half years later. All thanks to Midas, who she met because their kids go to school together.
Carries around a knife coated in snakes venom, only uses it during interrogations.
Anja Kovic (Uncharted)
Was born to Borislav Kovic, a General Major in the Yugoslavia Ground Forces and Svetlana Kovic, a former nurse. Also the younger sister to Vladimir.
She grew up in a highly abusive household under her fathers rule. He had that mindset of the men work and the woman stay home, then add on the strictness of being in a military family.
Wanted to be a nurse growing up but those dreams got shot down when her father married her off to the war lord Zoran Lazarevic at the age of 18.
Marriage to Zoran was horrific, she was just happy he spent more time in the field than with her. His death did not sadden her whatsoever.
Lost her mother to suspicious circumstances when she was twelve. Leaving her and her older brother at the will of their father.
After Zoran’s death she was finally free. She left for Serbia in search of finding her brother and during that time gave birth to her and unfortunately Zoran’s son, naming him Dragan. And yes, she did find her brother and became the nurse she always wanted to be.
Evelyn “Evie” Hazelton (The Order 1886)
Was born to Edith Hazelton and an unnamed father in London, England on October 1st, 1860. (Her mom was a prostitute)
She lived in a brothel up until her mom’s murder. She loved it, to be surrounded with so many women that helped her through her life, gave her advice and helped molded her into the woman she is today.
Sir Percival/Malory gave her a spot on the Order after her mom’s death and she became the protege of Sir Galahad/Grayson. There she learned how to fight and shoot a gun.
The first time she ever saw a werewolf she thought it was a big dog. It was late at night, she was young and couldn’t tell since it was in the far distance.
Has a scar going down her back from being scratched by a werewolf during a fight.
Very protective of the people she cares about. She was the only person who pleaded not guilty during Grayson’s trial because she knows him. She knew he wouldn’t have worked with the rebellion if it didn’t suit a good cause.
Lydia Wilson (Call of Cthulhu)
Her parents were apart of the cult that was trying to bring back Cthulhu. However, they left Darkwater when Lydia was five and moved to Boston.
No matter how much her parents tried to make her forget the past, she didn’t. She still has memories of the cult, what the uniforms looked like, the masks. It never left her.
Started hearing the voice of the Leviathan in her dreams once she hit her late 20′s. Eventually she caught wind of what he wanted and she set sail for Darkwater, a place she hasn’t been since she was five.
Her father ran a tailoring shop and she helped a lot through her childhood.
When she spaces out she has a resting bitch face. It makes her loo unapproachable according to her mother.
The first time she saw the Shambler she though she was hallucinating. That wasn’t the case and she never wants to deal with it again.
Lily (MCU)
Born on the planet Prometheus. A planet cover in lush green grass and waterfalls.
Ever since she was a child she had this fight in her. She use to find a decent sized stick and pretend to fight a tree.
Was married to Thanos for over 20 years. The only good that came out of it were her kids.
Joined the Avengers after Thanos’ death. It was nice to be around people and strike up conversations. She just loved learning about Earth and she would talk about her home world.
She was the first owner of the scepter until it was given to Loki. That made her angry, she really loved that scepter.
The first person she befriended was Carol Danvers because her youngest daughter, Lotus really liked her.
Ashlynn Davenport (Tomb Raider)
Was born into Trinity. Her father was a sergeant in the Trinity army and her mom was a nurse.
She liked her life for the most part, loved her parents and friends, but the more she found out about Trinity and all the harm they do she wanted out. Unfortunately they didn’t happen when she was being married off to the Trinity field commander, Konstantin.
Being married to Konstantin meant moving around a lot, never really staying in one place for too long. Once the mission was done then they moved on. She didn’t mind it, not at first. She liked traveling around and seeing the world, but the stuff Trinity did put a bad taste in her mouth.
Ash can be quite manipulative when she wants to be. It was something she learned from her dad growing up.
She helped Lara take down Trinity from the inside when they were looking for the divine source. No one figured it out, all of thinking it was Lara.
Ashlynn actually loved Konstantin, she just thought his mind was corrupted by his sister and was trying to make him see what was right. So when he died she was pretty pissed and was going to say her true feeling to Ana. Unfortunately the Trinity sniper got to Ana first. Leaving her with a bunch of anger inside her.
Sawyer Monrow (TLOU)
She was 12 at the time of when the cordycepts outbreak began. Her life was pretty great as well and then over night everything changed.
Her family ended up at the Hartford QZ, where her and her younger brother went through military training (just like in Boston) to teach them how to kill infected and other humans if necessary.
Met Joel and Ellie in Pittsburgh. She was with Henry and Sam at the time and after their deaths she stayed with them and made the trek to Jackson.
She can be very standoff-ish at first glance. It’s how she acts in this apocalyptic world, more so to protect herself and because she doesn’t trust people.
Started a relationship with Joel a year and a half later. He was the first person she really let in and was happy for the few years they were together. She even considers Ellie like a little sister.
She lost her family when the Hartford QZ fell. She tried to save her brothers, but couldn’t. That still haunts her to this day.
Phaedra Alexeyev (Werewolf The Apocalypse)
She’s very good at backstabbing and manipulating people. All thanks to her former caern. A part of her hates it, but the other knows how in handy it can be.
She was born at the Shadow Lords Thunderstrike Sept, Ural Mountains, Russia. Close to the city of Chelyabinsk.
Phaedra and Cahal became a surrogate family after they both had to kill a family member.
Always the first ready to jump into the action. When there’s a fight she’s on the front lines, she’s not going to miss out. And she just likes to fight in general.
She born under a full moon making her have the Ahroun Auspices.The Full Moon makes the Ahroun the living weapon of Gaia. They are the warrior among a race of warriors, the champion of a martial people. Ever ready to kill, and to die if need be.
Her name means Bright Defender.
Emma Ross (Stargate Atlantis)
Joined the Marines to help pay for her college tuition. She surprisingly enjoyed it and continued to serve as she got her degree in science.
Lived a very mundane life growing up. Had two wonderful parents, a good upbringing, nothing exciting really happened. Which might have been the reason she joined the military.
The hardest thing she has to do is lie to her friends and family when she was transferred over to the Atlantis expedition. Being so far away from them sucks, but with the Daedalus she has more of a chance to go visit them.
As much as she’s in danger, she’s never felt more alive than being on Sheppard’s team. All the action just makes her blood pump.
Ronon calls her ‘red’ due to her being a red head. She finds it kinda funny.
She’s very friends and loves to strike up conversations whenever she can. Getting to know more people on Atlantis made living there easier.

Downbelow Station, a fanfic summary
I’ve been writing fic for this tiny book fandom and have at least a few fandom acquaintances who want to read my fic but don’t want to read the book. This is a summary of what happens in the novel, whose heart, to me, is the relationship between a mindwiped ex-slave and a cross-cultural married couple who take him in under their protection.
The premise
People are in space, since the Earth Company started establishing space stations around increasingly distant stars for manufacturing/trade. There are several types of people:
Stationers stay on one station – stations were originally established by the Earth Company but have since gained de facto independence because Earth is so far away
Merchanters live on ships and trade – family very important to them, so is family name, regularly deal with Stationers as part of their life but find settling down very foreign. More sexually opportunistic than Stationers, possibly less monogamous.
Earth Company Fleet soldiers live on ships; originally under the control of Earth Company, as of novel start have gone kind of rogue, will continue to go even more rogue over the course of the novel
Citizens of Union, a... nation in space that grew in the deepest reaches, furthest away from Earth's influence. Union is currently trying to annex everyone else. Earth Company is trying to resist this through their Fleet. However, Earth Company is not very enthusiastic about this war and have been drawing out; the Fleet thinks it's important to keep fighting and keep doing dipshit moves like impressing Merchanter ships and ?? maybe looting stations a little bit to keep going.
Azi of Union – a genetically engineered underclass specific to Union. Basically designer subs. I believe the word azi is never brought up in Downbelow Station, but it's very clear a character is an azi, and what that means is explained in Cyteen, which takes place in the same universe. Union citizens use 'tapes' casually and at-will for fast learning and entertainment and conditioning, but starting later in life. Azi grow up on tape – their psyches are designed to be good at whatever they were designed to do, whether that's soldiering or psychologizing or childcare. Azi require varyingly regular check-ins with a Supervisor, who is an assigned person who tells the azi they are Very Good and On Course With Their Lives and give them tapes to keep them aligned with their values and mentally stable. Azi have normal human names but also an ID that looks like AO-1234, where the first alphabet character indicates what ‘class’ you are – an Alpha-class azi is probably far smarter than your average citizen and is more capable of functioning independently. Azi can win citizenship, but so far the only people onscreen who’ve done so are Alpha-class azi.
The cast
Damon Konstantin is a head of Legal Affairs on Pell Station, and the son of the Stationmaster, which is apparently a hereditary position. Despite the hereditariness Pell seems to have the most familiar culture to me, a 21st century American expecting democracy and rule of law. Pell Station is special – it orbits a human-livable planet called Downbelow, and there are only three such planets under human control. This means the planet can be used as a base for ‘bioform production’ (a vague category encompassing everything you can grow on a planet but not a space station) and makes Pell strategically valuable. The other two livable planets are Earth, under the control of the Earth Company Fleet’s nominal masters, and Cyteen, the base of Union operations. Pell is neutral, as many star stations try to be.
Elene Quen is a Merchanter who stepped off her ship to marry Damon. They’ve been married for four months at novel start. Her formal role is liaison with Merchanters.
Joshua Talley is a soldier of Union who was captured when Union forces sabotaged (blew up) a station called Mariner Station. He was tortured for information on another station – Russell’s – whose inhabitants feared the same fate for themselves. He had nothing to give them – he was a medium-level technician/soldier, an ‘armscomper’, which I think means he was the person pressing buttons to fire on targets or programming the weapons to fire on targets. During his interrogation Russell’s station was also sabotaged, ensuing in a mass evacuation.
Signy Mallory is one of the ~10 captains of the Earth Company Fleet. She is commanding and very deadly, commands fanatical loyalty from her soldiers. She’s also a sexual sadist. When she comes to evacuate Russell’s Stationers from a failing space station she finds that they have a Union POW who is very pretty, and takes him into her personal quarters for their journey to Pell. It is not said how she rapes him but it was a lot. Joshua thinks of this part as worse than the previous interrogation.
The events from there
When the Fleet arrives at Pell Station, they are convoying huge ships full of thousands of refugees from stations sabotaged / fallen to Union. It has been weeks or months since they started out. The ships were overpacked, many inside are dead, the culture of the ships has quickly turned anarchic/violent.
Angelo Konstantin, master of Pell, says "wtf, we can't take all these people, we don't have space. We literally cannot do this." The Fleet says, “You better,” unloads the highly upset and sick refugees, and leaves. Pell Station clears out two sectors of their station and makes it the 'quarantine zone', later shortened to Q. Conditions are very bad in Q and what to do with the violent, desperate people inside, many of whom cannot prove who they were in their past lives, when Pell doesn’t have the capacity to relocate them, is an ongoing problem throughout the novel.
Before leaving, Signy Mallory also said, "in addition to the refugee crises we unloaded on you, here is a Union prisoner of war we transported separately because the refugees would have killed him", and dumps Joshua on Pell leadership.
Around this time, Elene Quen finds out that her ship was destroyed when Mariner Station blew up. She now has no blood family, and Merchanters put great cultural emphasis on having clan and name. She decides to have a kid, talking Damon into it.
Joshua Talley is extremely depressed and keeps asking for a mindwipe so he can live as a normal citizen on Pell rather than being indefinitely detained. Mindwipes are used on stations as a consensual way of rehabilitating criminals. His captors are reluctant – it’s tantamount to execution. Damon Konstantin is the final permission-giver on the issue and gives it in the end. The process of mindwipe (or Adjustment) necessarily causes the person to regurgitate their whole life. This is recorded. Due to this, he discovers only after the mindwipe is complete that Josh was tortured on Russell’s with mindwipe drugs (presumably for the same regurgitating-your-whole-life property) and then raped on Signy Mallory’s ship on the way to Pell, and that wanting to wipe out the trauma was the real reason he wanted a mindwipe.
Damon feels really bad about this. He checks up on Josh Talley a lot when he's recovering from the mindwipe. He and his wife Elene decide to 'sponsor' him when he's rejoining normal society on the ship. Elene does so through some personal resistance – Josh once belonged to the military force that wiped out her family. They check in with a guy who doesn’t remember much of anything but definitely has abandonment issues and is afraid of emotional entanglement with people.
Josh Talley quietly converts much of his internal body mass into gooey loyalty.
Plot chaos. The station comes to be formally occupied by the Fleet, who wants to use it as their new base of operations, and a Union saboteur named Gabriel who talks to Stationmaster Angelo Konstantin’s main rival and conspires to bring him to power instead...
There’s a part I really really want to summarize here where Josh tries to fall on grenade for the Quen-Konstantins – literally, trying to take an action that would end in his death but keep them safe from the Fleet – and they show up and say “you idiot, never do that again” and bring him back to their apartment and say “while the Fleet is suspicious of you, you are living HERE, so everyone knows you are under our protection. Forget your old job, we’ll find you something working closely with Damon every day – while you’re in sight they can’t get at you.” But I can’t find a non-confusing way to relay it, sorry.
Soon after that, the Union saboteur succeeds. Angelo Konstantin is assassinated. His rival, Jon Lukas, takes his place, and starts enacting subtly Union-friendly policies. I think this somehow happens concurrently with the Fleet still using Pell as a base of operations. It’s highly chaotic. Elene flees the chaos on a Merchanter ship whose family she knows. Damon and Josh, fearing whoever assassinated Angelo, hide within the more bad and chaotic parts of the station (I honestly don’t believe the author when she says they managed this for months – Pell has tens of thousands of people, that’s not a lot! You could close each sector at a time and sweep everyone!). This part feels like big missed opportunity to me – they spend their time moving from hiding place to hiding place, coming up with hopeless schemes that they know they’ll never enact. One infers they got much closer, but the author doesn’t go into that either. The one delight that comes out of this sequence is that Josh becomes more assertive and competent than we’ve ever seen him – being in hiding, under danger, brings out submerged training. He’s not a dependent anymore – arguably in some places he’s in lead.
In the middle of this, Josh makes contact with the Union saboteur, Gabriel, who hails him as a colleague and informs him that they’re of the same kind. They have the same training. The story Josh gave Russell’s interrogators, and Pell, that he was a mid-tier technician, is an implanted set of memories that automatically flushes his real ones when he was under duress.
This means, although the author never explores it, that Josh was probably integral to destroying Mariner Station, and concomitantly responsible for Elene’s family’s deaths.
Josh asks Gabriel for safe passage to the planet Downbelow for both himself and a companion. Gabriel acquiesces, but is shocked when the companion Josh brings to the meeting is the Konstantin heir. He starts to say, “Well, well, what a useful person you have brought me –” and then gets shot by a Fleet soldier who’s following reports of a suspicious person. (My fic Half-Silvered Mirror diverges from canon at this point, and asks what would have happened if Gabriel had his way.)
Now in the hands of the Fleet, Josh and Damon meet with Signy Mallory again. Josh isn’t what Mallory remembers – as a rape victim he was passive, inward-turned. This Josh is articulate and emotional and loyal. Damon isn’t what she expects, either – he manages to jab at her conscience about what the Fleet has become, lawless and unmoored from any democratic interest. She plans to execute both of them the next day.
Due to convoluted plot reasons, she doesn’t. She turns against the rest of the Fleet, which for their own reasons is headed back towards Earth – to conquer. Her ship, Norway, enters a standoff against Union warships over Pell. Which isn’t on course to go well for her, until someone broadcasts at both of them that Pell is now under Merchanter claim. Elene, while out in space, has been convincing Merchanters to form an unprecedented coordination bloc. She demands Pell for the Merchanter Alliance and informs the Union military leader, Azov, that if he doesn’t acquiesce all Merchanter ships in her fleet will refuse to trade in Union space.
She wins. The scene when she docks at Pell and walks in, pregnant and victorious, to kiss her husband, is one of the most visually !!! scenes.
In the aftermath, Azov tries to take Josh back for Union. Damon says nope, he’s ours. Josh, what do you want? Josh says nothing. Looks at nothing. But when Azov and the other Union soldiers leave, he stays.
And afterwards, he goes to Signy Mallory – whose ships now constitute Pell’s militia – and asks, sincerely, to work as crew on her ship for a while. He says he can’t live on a station comfortably. That the stationers know him, and his past. (Not sure how true this is.) Mallory says it’s nothing another mindwipe can’t cure, and he says he doesn’t want to forget. “I’ve got something. The only real thing. All that I value.”
“So you go off and leave it?”
“For a while.”

Did Elene know when Josh left that he was probably responsible for her family’s death? (My fic Awarding Damages is about one way they could resolve this)
What did Signy Mallory do to Josh? Can he handle working under her?
Damon and Elene are so parental to Josh, and they're also embarking on having a family in a dynastic way where having a clan is their way of asserting that they exist and are rooted in the world. And of course Josh is going to feel really weird about how he fits into that – he's only watching it happen because he's a charity case, of course he's going to have no involvement in that project – what place is left for him anyway, he has no one and is nothing. I want this man to have feelings about family and how he doesn't have one and then HAVE A FAMILY I want him to hold the baby and go "OH. You are a biological composite of the two greatest people in the world. I cannot hold it against you that you are now going to push me out of my current living situation with the two greatest people in the world"
Due to the amount of mindfuckery Josh has gone through, it’s unclear to both him and the reader how many his memories are real. What does that do to a person?
From what I know of azi from Cyteen, Josh has psychological needs – again, he’s like a bred sub – that non-Unioners aren’t going to understand. Can he get them met? How does he negotiate that?

S3 thoughts after complete rewatch
Please give me your thoughts and ideas. I’ll be blunt. Season 3 is bad. Really bad. There is absolutely no continuity between s2 and s3. I was joking that even though it’s meant to be set 6 months later, it could really be anytime after. I even would think I was watching an episode in the middle of a season if I was just shown 3x01 with no info. I feel that there is also a complete disregard to the tone of the show, despite Suzanne stating how it’s important to keep that. I do feel that Suzanne talks the talk more than she walks the walk.
1. When asked about the multiple POV Suzanne stated ‘those two women as the lynchpin relationship of the show. Their journeys are always at the spine of the story’. ‘all of them (new characters) have a really exciting energy, and really challenge the main characters’. I would argue completely against Eve and Villanelle and their relationship being the focus of this season. There are times and whole episodes when I feel there is almost a disconnect from each other. These two are absolutely, unhealthily addicted to each other. I think the amount of scenes they have together is perfect and almost the usual, but when they aren’t together, you know they are never normally far from each other’s mind. I would especially say I find it strange after V has finally got the kiss she has been waiting for 3 seasons, which would make her devotion go even more through the roof, she only has one Eve related moment (the cake) before phoning Eve after seeing each other at the train station in ep 7. They could have nearly sunk them!
· Konstantin and Carolyn even overshadowed Eve and had more character development this season. Besides from Dasha, I would also say the new characters hardly gave anything to the plot such as Aubrey, Paul, and Geraldine. It even took me a while to remember these characters names. Paul you could take out of the season and nothing would change except that Carolyn wouldn’t have had another person to shoot in 3x08. I think Geraldine was a good character to have for Carolyn to show how she personally grieves, but why did they keep having the same scenes again and again? What the heck was that thing with Geraldine and Konstantin? I’m still unclear on how Dasha and Villanelle’s relationship came about and what happened. How old was Villanelle? How long was Dasha her mentor for? It seems like they forgot that they had Konstantin saying to V in 3x02 about Dasha doing something to her and the way Villanelle attacked Dasha upon seeing her again, that they just quickly wrote the hospital scene in 3x08. I was so confused what was happening. Did they mean Dasha shot at Villanelle because ‘she wasn’t ready’ as in emotionally or physically? Did Dasha actually manage to shoot her? Didn’t they allude to Konstantin being the one to recruit her from the prison in s1, so how did she not stay with him? How did she escape Dasha? It seemed random that Dasha just happened to die when Konstantin was there, when he said she was going to die in the hospital. I thought he had done something, but apparently not?
2. When asked what she was most excited about the audience seeing, Suzanne said Villanelle and Eve’s journey. This is her quote about Eve. ‘Similarly with Eve, we really get to see deeper layers of Eve, and her really coming to terms with the person she is now. She’s forever changed because of what happened to her and what she’s been through, and it’s really about seeing her now, this new version of herself, and her acceptance of herself, which is very exciting and really takes her into new places’. I really just have to laugh. Where is it? It is absolutely ridiculous how little Eve was developed and ignored this season. When you guys do a rewatch, I highly recommend to at least watch 2x08 before going into s3 because it really just highlights the difference and how nuts it is that they dropped Eve by so much! I really don’t understand how it’s even possible. Coming into the show there are many ways you could go wrong. However, it’s not like it’s an easy thing to cut out the lead of your show! Especially when that character had the most exciting things happen to them in the finale of s2. The things I was most excited about going into s3 was seeing how Eve was coping with knowing she has the ability to kill someone. I can’t believe they did not bring up that Eve had killed someone once in the whole of s3!!! Like @kassies stated, it’s like Suzanne just took one line and things she liked and disregarded everything else. Suzanne practically said in the BBC sounds podcast that she had this idea of mummy issues, which personally I don’t think there is any evidence of except the fact V is attracted to older women, like most wlw are. If anything there is more evidence she would have daddy issues with her history of castrations and the many times she comments that she finds it strange that Konstantin hasn’t tried to have sex with her. After the line ‘most of’ her family were dead she stated she could go down that route! She practically wrote the whole season just based on this. She hasn’t even taken the quote correctly, as like others have pointed out, most of her family were actually alive and it was only her dad who was dead. I loved episode 5 originally but on my rewatch with the whole season it really seemed strange. When I first watched it I thought the next episode was going to be largely devoted to Eve so I wasn’t so bothered that it was a whole V ep. However, considering Eve was hardly given anything in ep6, I really don’t see how a whole V episode was needed. The annoying thing was this season could have been the best yet. With Eve and Villanelle both discovering themselves and meeting at the end. It was that, but with hardly any Eve content and I feel they are so lucky they managed to pull it off in the last 2 eps, and that’s largely down to what s1+2 accomplished. Again, ep5 just seems like a way for Suzanne to explore her mummy issues story, as there is nothing really juicy or pivotal for the plot. Why not really show how the twelve have had their eye on V since she was little. Have the mum saying a man told her V was dead, as Konstantin did with Anna in s1? It would have added so much more to the twelve. Especially when the big thing about V this season is her wanting away from the control the twelve have on her. Why not show just how much?
I actually had no idea what Eve was thinking for most of the season and from what I do know and think is based on what I know of this character from the previous 2 seasons. Maybe this is just me not getting it, but I thought Eve was in the kitchen because she was in denial and I kept waiting for her to get a breakthrough and embrace her true self. It wasn’t until Sandra said Eve was actually showing strength by working in the kitchen, and by saying ‘no’ to working in the front, that I was like ‘oh’ that’s what it’s meant to mean. I actually feel so sad for Sandra because I can’t imagine what she must have been thinking with Eve’s treatment this season. I actually feel there are even moments in the season that delibrately stop Eve’s development. For example that lazy line of ‘lucky those tourists found you’. How? I know irl it’s a tourist attraction, but in the show they had to break into a tunnel to access it. I also don’t like the scene with Jamie. You could say it highlights the line in the finale ‘I think we all have monsters’ but I feel like it invalidates just how different Eve and Villanelle are from other people. Jamie taking his kids to the zoo when high is hardly the same as Eve hacking a man to death with an axe.
This is already so long, and I could go on and on, but I’m just going to point out some issues and plot holes.
. Kenny’s death was meant to be the biggest storyline of the whole season and what got Eve back into the story. However, she only looked into his death in ep3 and never again. Carolyn didn’t even really look into his death and all we got was constant scenes with her and Geraldine. Why couldn’t we have gotten Eve and Carolyn doing real detective work like in s1 as was implied was going to happen in ep3? I don’t even feel like they actually thought through his death as it was ‘solved’ by Bear who despite apparently not thinking Kenny had commited suicide from the beginning and wanting access to his phone, apparently did not think to check a camera he had set up until weeks later?! I don’t think it’s possible Kenny fell off the roof as in ep4 when Eve chucks the cake, the wall comes up near to her chest. You could not fall off that. He also would have screamed when falling. I also don’t even know how the twelve knew Kenny was looking into the accounts. Especially if they knew Kenny was looking into it, and knew money was being taken, how did it take them so long to kill the accountant? Laura could develop this in s4, but I feel as though it was Suzanne’s job to follow through with this storyline.
. How did Konstantin know what V looked like as a baby? Where did he see the photo? Why did they make a point to highlight that she was with someone in the photo and Konstantin really didn’t seem to want to tell her, yet the next episode he handed over her family right away? As much as I love Villanelle’s journey, on a rewatch, the family story seemed to almost come out of nowhere in ep3 and then the next episode she had the information and went home. Why not introduce the idea in ep 1?
. How would Puyter know that it was his sister? Upon immediately seeing her he knew it was Oksana. I don’t think it says how old they were, but he is younger than V, and we saw how old she was in the pics, I really don’t think he would recognise her, especially when he thinks she is dead.
. Why is there not pictures of the dad? Even if the mum was saddened by his death as she really seemed to love him, why would she not have any photos? Also with how much she seems to be scared and despise V, why would she keep the photos of her? Did the dad die while Villanelle was still there or is she just taking he’s dead as he’s not there. I thought they were going to reveal that the dad was still alive and part of the twelve but nope.
. Why was Rhian so scared of V at the train station? I know she’s the demon with no face, but Rhian was ready to be moving into Villanelle’s shoes, and you can even see V is struggling to kill her, so why does Rhian act so scared and back herself onto the edge of the platform? That moment feels so disgenuous to me and at one point I though Rhian was acting.
. How did Carolyn know Helene and that V was working for her? Is it a plot hole or something to be explored in s4?
. Why was Eve acting like she didn’t know Villanelle was responsible for the Catalan murder in ep4 when we know she can tell V’s kills after a sec (as seen in ep6) and even after Carolyn had shown her the photo and said it was V?
. They didn’t even seem to give much attention to Eve’s scar or wound. It was not where it was in 2x08. I know they said that they were going to move around where she had been shot, but when Suzanne was asked why the scar was different she said she wanted it to seem like Villanelle went for the kill shot, despite saying in other interviews that she doesn’t think Villanelle did try or want to kill Eve. The scar’s even so weird. I’m no expert, so that it maybe how they look, but it doesn’t even look like a bullet wound. Would the bullet not have left a round mark?
. Why did they keep Niko around for so long? I personally loved where Emerald had taken it in 2x07 and was excited to see where Niko was. Maybe he was up for the murder of Gemma. It would have been another good opportunity to see Eve's skewed morals. A part of her being flattered that Villanelle killed Gemma as sort of revenge for stepping on Eve. Instead it got completely swept under the rug in 3x01 too by Niko saying mi6 said she killed herself. What happened? How did they find him? It doesn't even make sense now why V killed her. However, I would say there was also something symbolic about him ending up in a rehabilitation retreat because Eve and her actions has 'broken' him. It was quite powerful for his character to tell Eve he deserved better than her. Because he does. He basically told her to p*ss off there. Why make the little time Eve is being given to another ep where she chases him down, for him to get brutally attacked in a way that is so ridiculous that he would survive it borders on a soap opera. I thought the reason he survived was to give a big Eve moment of her saying her acceptance that she can't have a normal life. Instead they just had the same convo as 3x01 with him telling her to p*ss off. Then a scene with Eve looking at him and leaving. What is going on in her head? Why are you not giving her anything? We didn't even get to see her dealing with the act happening.
. This brings me onto the point of it. It could of had so much impact, yes it was cool because Eve knew it wasn't V, but there could have been so much more given to it. Such as Dasha saying to V in the lift in 3x07 about her having someone waiting for her back home, how Dasha has just destroyed the thread between the only person V cares about. It would have made V hitting her with the golf club so much more delicious.
. Villanelle saying to Konstantin that she didn't want him to die in 3x07 and looking upset. Yet in 3x08 she looks almost excited about the fact he's about to be shot?
. It also annoys me so much that Raymond was just discarded and we still know nothing about the twelve. I thought this season was really going to dive into them, but we don't know anymore about them than we did at the start of the season. After rewatching 2x08 I really wish they had explored the twelve thru Raymond. If you wanted to give Konstantin more why not have him in with the twelve and the consequences of 2x08? Raymond saying 'Some would say I'm a real somebody'. 'They will take you apart for this'. 'After today a lot of people are going to be angry'. How high was Raymond? The implications that V+E were in so much danger after killing Raymond. Then it's 6 months later and Dasha just says they've been watching V for months. Were they watching Eve? Who knows nobody cares about Eve this season😒 Why bring in new members of the twelve like Paul, make brand new stories such as Kenny's death and the money, to just kill Paul and not resolve them.
I really don't understand how the twelve haven't killed V yet. She screws up all the time from s1 onwards. I get she is amazing at her job but they have others such as Rhian. Why do they let her get away with it? It was confusing me so much this season. I thought they were going to make her dad a member of the twelve and that's how she's protected.
. The title cards and intro. By now you might all be thinking she's just tearing everything apart. Trust me, there are moments of s3 I love and that is why it's so frustrating. Laura's 3 eps are some of my fave of the show so fingers crossed that means good things for s4. I felt she grasped the original tone of the show. So speaking of staying true to the show, I don't understand why they were changing the format of the title cards. Sometimes it was funny 'p*ss off forever' and 'this is bullshit'. Yet, it also really threw me off because it's not what usually happens. I'm all for new things being tried, yet I actually find myself questioning what wasn't changed and what was kept original? The names coming up in 3x04...I can't even. This is more of a personal take as I know some people really liked them, but when it was coming up 'Eve' I was just sitting there thinking 'I know that's Eve. I've been watching her for 3 years'.
Why was there only a title sequence in 2 episodes? Suzanne got asked and said that it was only ep2 and ep7 that felt right. I mean...I'm pretty sure it could have worked in all of them. I loved the title sequences so much, and was so excited when that drop fell and they started in ep2. Then I was so confused when none of the next ones had it. Episode 7 is one of my favourite episodes of the whole show, and that title sequence is just *chef's kiss*. My point really is that it came across to me as an experiment as they only did certain things in one episode and never again, and it made me uncomfortable.
