Theres no lag in koala if you screen record the beat (then stitch to your video). Bluetooth headphones create that lag Ive noticed, so I never use bluetooth headphones when hittin pads to make a beat video like this.. 💎
One of the things I really really like is I can export all this stuff I've been tweaking about with once I get my PC set back up and then I can work my magic. Not that what I'm doing here ain't magical but I'm severely limited on my automation.
No name for this yet but I like the sounds. It's a good bit more challenging to do my standard DnB fair with Koala but this still feels like me stuff.
Wow!! It was such a good day at the @workinonit.mcr event. So many friendly faces and everyone dropping bangers today. Really inspiring. Loved everyone’s set. Massive shout out to all the peeps who put this together and the staff at @thehiphopchipshop for the food 👌🏾. Bigup DJ Versatile for being my travel buddy 👊🏾. I’ll hopefully have some footage up on my YouTube soon. #dj #producer #beatmaker #manchester #hiphop #boombap #beats #games #akai #sp404 #koalasampler (at The Hip Hop Chip Shop) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnc1bKXsLsX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
TheNamek.com I decided to start drumming end of January. Purchased an electric set so I’d could keep quiet and customize my drum sets for production. Follow the journey. My grandfather, father and grand uncle/aunts all had it… we gon slap‼️ #pikloops🔂 is a free loop series. Hybrid live groove and percussion with processing and sequencing. Great for #mobilebeats like #koalasampler and DAWs of any style. Have fun. #piklo🧞♂️✨ #thenamek🐉✨ #plackpanthers💿🐈⬛ #campnoxx✨ #xvigrp #RicardoDennardo🥁 #themagnificant7 https://www.instagram.com/p/CpMAXN0pZ5f/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
So the original plan was to take a synth or two from the huge pile of apps I've stockpiled like a hoarder, and use it/them on the flip for the week. The current victim is Synthmaster 2, and I've come to realize trying to learn SM2 for a flip is like enrolling in a French culinary school just so I can make a peanut butter sandwich for lunch -- ain't gonna happen, baby. I still have the LAST synth candidates (Alpha/SDS-x) on my iPad with their song stuck in the production queue -- let's just say the structure of the song remains, um, ill-defined. So, what to do…
First step: relax.
Second step: I will focus on the three in-production songs, get them wrapped up and ready to go. One is a for-sure Beatcast candidate -- possibly even this week's -- the other two might find life… in another role. Still mulling that over.
After that… don't know yet. The weekly new-synth thing will most likely be directed towards those synths that aren't as juiced as SM2, try to burn through those, get them off my plate, then go from there. SM2, I'm thinking would be more for when I decide to do my first EP -- using SM2, Koala, and (insert other conditions here), make a 4-track EP. Or whatever. But, yeah, that's where I am…
