Idk after reading the damnation stories i always felt that what was 'meant to happen' (the role the mc took) could be what if innocent mc would've been, as in diviner they are described as someone who was already fading away, or king of hearts not daring to fight for themselves soon lost their head, or the chieftain that didn't want to get involved with the prince, but the not innocent mc was ambitious enough to survive, 'if i don't do this I'll just be a chess piece', 'if i don't "reach their good graces" I'll die', 'if i don't play his game the people will turn their backs on me'
That's why that serie felt so fleshed out, it's not meant to keep a Mary Sue but a character that feels imperfect and real

Yeah, so I saw someone comment on my recent post about innocent mc. Notice how in my last post I worded it very specifically. "... they'd probably die no matter what story they end up in... An innocent mc will likely not have the determination or willpower to make the decisions that the criminal mcs make." I worded it this way for a reason. I'm not saying there's no way an innocent mc wouldn't be able to do what the other mcs did. I'm just saying that it's not likely, but it's still possible. Just because someone doesn't commit a crime doesn't mean they're moral and not capable of doing bad. They can always commit a crime later or make questionable decisions later too.
What I'm saying is, any normal "innocent" and "uwu" type of mc would've definitely died if not as soon as they arrived then not too long after. But anyways, the whole reason I made the mcs as criminals and distinct from one another is because I was so damn tired of seeing the perfect optimistic happy little mc that could do no wrong. That's so boring. Which is how I got the idea for the damnation mcs, because they're not like that at all.
I mentioned this before too, but most of the mcs would die if they were placed in a different story. Example: KingMC ending up in the role that ChiefMC got, or vice versa. They definitely would've died quickly. Like you say above, sheep anon, any other mc, innocent or not, would probably die too. But anyways, these conversations are fun to have. I'm glad people are so interested by the mcs, and I've technically only shown three out of the seven in detail.

“Oh sweetie, you say you’re sorry, but I know in your heart, you’re really not,” Jo purred, removing her hand from the man’s chest cavity and flicking blood from her fingertips. “You will be, though.” She smirked as she turned away from her most recent victim, one of her favorites. She had killed this man time and time again, but unlike for her… there would be no end to his torture, not after everything he’d done on the surface.
Solid black eyes scanned her table of instruments as she wiped her blood-covered hand on a towel. She ignored his pleading and begging. He’d be allowed off the rack when she was through… but only for a short time. She’d fill his cell with his worst nightmares and then bring him back to the rack. There was, as they said, no rest for the wicked.
The door opened to her workspace and she paused, confused by the suited man that filled the space. She didn’t recognize the man, and her brow arched as she looked at him.
“I’m busy,” she snapped, picking up her favorite knife. “What do you want?”

First of hi! How are you? Hope you are having a wonderful day.
OK so now I'm not sure where the name for the MC of Octavinelle's result was taken from but it just randomly clicked in my mind. No idea if someone else said this or if you've pointed it out so apology in advance but the MC was said to be "V" or "Diviner". Going to original Disney there is a character in the Little Mermaid that helped Ursula win and it was her own created character called Vanessa. See where I'm going with this? I'm just wondering if that was intentional or not lol.
Oh, thank you, anon. I hope you're having a good day as well. I'm doing alright. My morning was a little hectic, but I'm okay right now.
I think someone may have mentioned this before, but since I don't remember for sure, I don't mind talking about it again. I try not to refer to the MC's name on purpose. Usually they're just called by their role or occupation, so "your majesty" for KingMC, "chief" for ChieftainMC, even Parrot/VassalMC will be commonly referred to as "vassal," and RavenMC will go by "retainer." DivinerMC mostly went by... well, "diviner" but eventually allows "V" as a nickname based off the signature they found on contracts.
Anyways, yeah, it was totally intentional. I mentioned this before too, but I also went with this nickname and role because DivinerMC is a little different in the sense that I struggled a lot with their role because all evil sidekick roles were already taken (Floyd and Jade). Hence why I had to be a little more creative with MC's role, and that's when I came up with the whole V Div. idea.
