Alcina in gorgeous, glamorous, Golden Age of Hollywood is wonderful and I needed this in my life.

I know many people are thinking ‘oh, sparkly, so sequin dress!’. No, no. The Countess is too classy for that. Beaded? Maybe. But really, if you want to do a classy look, have metallic thread woven into the fabric. Perhaps even two different colors; a deep (and I do mean deep) ruby and luscious rose red that edges in purple tones. Weave those two colors into that beautiful wine color fabric, and it will sparkle. Have the fur trim on the caplet be that cream color (but the pink is lovely, so maybe make the trim to be detachable to allow for both colors). Accessorize with long white gloves and pearls.

The second image is for the neckline. Shown on a white variant of the dress, no capelet, but instead it’s a black fur stole.

A rich and beautiful velvet dressing gown, a la the 1940s and 1950s Hollywood glamor era. Deep red. Definitely a wine color. The band along the neckline would be a black, in silk, perhaps that shimmering, two-toned silk that is both black and having a sheen of red on it. The cuffs? Mink. Black or a very nice, deep, smoky grey.

I love this design so, so much.
