My purchases from MCM Comic Con in London today! It was SO wonderful to meet so many artists - both those I’ve met before and those I met for the first time! Thank you so much to everybody for your generosity and kind words (and all the incredibly kind freebies!) - I cannot wait to put these up on the wall!

If you are interested in the artists behind these pieces I thoroughly recommend checking ALL of them out - please see below (in alphabetical order!)

@card-queen - The lovely Primrose (Octopath) sketch and the five assorted characters scattered at the bottom of the picture - Gem and Snow had a really cool “gacha” box idea at their table!

@dakiarts - The wonderful Kliff print and Lucina/Hector charms! Thank you also for the adorable Forsyth sticker ;; It was so lovely to meet you for the first time!

@hzokkiart - The Alm and Celica print, and the lovely Genny!! I totally think you should do more in that style, it’s absolutely gorgeous! And SO lovely to see you again!

@juwei - The stunning Lucina print! I really love how fluid your style is and it was awesome to meet you! I will have to try and nab more of your merch!

@kaejunni - The gorgeous Edelgard print and Byleth charm (thanks so much for that, it was extremely kind of you, and it was wonderful to meet you!)

You’re really sweet Anon, but there’s plenty of anatomy guides out there! The anatomy I draw isn’t really anything flashy or different, plus the characters in my art always have skinny chicken legs ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ ;; so I don’t see how a tutorial by would help anyone, but it’s nice that you think so. The blog @anatoref has plenty to offer! I also follow it for ref sometimes~

To help with the watercolour brand ask, I use Winsor and Newton series, either 'Artists' Water colour' or 'Professional' and a few 'Cotmans'. All are very good quality paints and the pricier the tube, the more vibrant the colour. I also use Dr pH Martins watercolours and they are super vibrant because they are condensed and come in pots. I hope this helps ^^ (your art is very cute btw)

Ah thank you very much!! :) This is helpful to know, the Daler Rowney ones I’m using don’t have a very strong colour! once I get better at watercolours I’ll look into getting one of those you mentioned!

Heya I got your artbook!! It's so good and wonderfully presenteddd ; V ;;;;; I loved your character profiles at the back the most! They're a really gorgeous cast waa. Would you mind if I could refer to it for inspiration (in terms of layout) for when I (hopefully) make an artbook too..? Working on a little manga so I thought an artbook would be cute to go with it in the future ; v ;;

Thanks so much, and I’m glad you are enjoying it. I had a crash course on layout design from my friend Finni, which was a big help! You can very well use it as reference material, but I personally learned a lot putting it together myself so I recommend you keep an open mind with the following tips I will share with you:

For at least the first 1/3 of the book, direct the flow so the audience wants to flip to the following page (→, in most cases):

Characters’ eyes should be towards 👉 or to the 👉👈 of the book

your Wow pieces should be placed on the 👉 of the spread, preferably at 1/3 or ½ of the book, to keep an interest level up

don’t leave too much white space near the centre of the spread

(you may ease on the directional flow after the 1/3 mark)

General tips:

Ensure adequate breathing room near the spine, especially with perfect bound books

Do not juxtapose simple pieces against detailed pieces

Palettes of each page should flow naturally into the next, throughout the entire book

For text, big margins and small text tend to look good

Ensure whatever tiles you make (from text or images), they are aligned evenly with each other

For covers, make sure the title/text is not too close to an edge to avoid cutting it
