My Relationship With Food:

(Task before our dreadful super sculpie pies)

I have an okay relationship with food. There are sometimes when I have cravings for specific foods, whilst at other times I don’t get a craving for anything at all and don’t really get hungry at all.

I mostly like Asian foods as they aren’t too sweet or salty, they do contain quite a lot of flavour in them even so. When I went to China Town after being at MCM, I went to the same places as they fitted my palette for both nights.

On the first night I got a Red bean Mochi Taiyaki, which is a pastry shaped like a koi fish with a filling inside. I chose red bean mochi because it isn’t too sweet and the mochi gives a chewy texture when you get to it. Red bean paste does have the texture of mushy peas but isn’t watery and it has a slight sweet taste to it. It all put together is just perfection, which is why it’s one of my favourite desserts.

For dinner I had Steamed egg yolk with seafood and tofu soup. It was very nice as it was salty but nothing was too powerful over other things in the dish, so you were able to taste everything. It was also the first time I had fish ro, it was slightly hard to get a flavour out of it, as they are very small but once I was able to pop it, it had a liquid salt taste to it, which I liked in the end. I had steamed rice with it so there was a way to soak up some of the soup.

The next night I had the taiyaki after dinner. For dinner I had Vegertarian Ma Po Tofu, which is a usually a pork based dish but I wasn’t wanting meat at the time. It was quite a spicy dish but I got some prawn crackers with it, which did help cool down the spice in a way. It also became one of my favourite dishes as well as the other from the night before.

When it comes to snacks, I do like seaweed, sour cream & chive and cheese and onion crisps. For ones which are sweet I like yoghurt raisins, pistachio ice cream mochi (I know it’s more of a dessert thing), and sometimes a chocolate bar.

For a very simple dinner when we have it in the kitchen. I’ll usually make myself tofu either hoisin(pre packed and cut into pieces), hot or cold and having it with Keopi mayonnaise and soy sauce.

Dinners which we usually have:

• Salmon wellington • Teriyaki salmon with vegetables • Fish fingers and veg • Spinach Lattices • Cod fillets • Vegetarian sausages •Pizza and etc.
