My entry for the #kazuscaraweek Day 01: modern childhood au
Pronouns used:
-Kazuha (he/him)
-Scaramouche (they/them)

Universe: genshin impact
**Not proofread** if you have any questions feel free to drop a q on my asks.
AN: the idea here was to show the difference between how scara saw kazuha as a child vs the timeskip ver of themselves.
As for kazuha well... All i can say is he was consistent.

"Do you swear?", the child's voice held such authority at a very young age. Not a single soul would decline his request and he most certainly was not going to take "NO" for an answer.
The young boy with light colored locks with an unmistakable red streak looked into the other's deep violet orbs. He would often associate their eyes to lightning that would strike whenever it rained cats and dogs.
A bright flashing light people would often take their eyes off but to him he wouldn't dare miss a single moment.
"I swear.", he replied in a soft voice.
Scaramouche knew very well Kazuha would always tell them exactly what they wanted to hear.
Though there were times the young boy was left wondering at night, whilst staring at the ceiling if Kazuha was agreeing to anything they said because ... He might be afraid of— Ridiculous.
Kazuha wasn't afraid of them.
He was ...
He was their friend.
"Kuniiii— you're making the face again.", Kazuha's voice was filled with so much concern. He was always like this. A gentle soul whose light radiates in the darkness.
Scaramouche crossed both arms against his chest and looked away from the other with both eyes closed.
"How many times do i have to tell you not to call me Kuni." Scaramouche ended his retort with a pout to which earned Kazuha's soft chuckle.
"Sorry, Ku— I mean Scara. I got so used to calling you by that name."
Scaramouche turned to face the young boy and pinched both cheeks.
"It's fine. You're the only one who can call me Kuni without having to deal with my fury.", The dark haired boy replied while pinching Kazuha's cheeks gently. Kazuha raised a hand, fingers brushing against Scara's knuckles and the next words he said with a smile touching his lips.
"I did swear to be your friend forever and ever, right? You shouldn't get too worried about what i say or do. I have already made up my mind to stand by your side til we grow up."
Scaramouche ceased his pinching and looked straight into kazuha's red colored orbs. The way it would glint all knowingly as if there was an old soul residing in his dainty little body or he was too observant than most children.
Scara felt foolish the thought wherein Kazuha was afraid of them slipped in their mind.
If anything, Kazuha would be that specific person whose shoulder they can lean on and find comfort, a friend they can rely on through troubled times.

Scaramouche yelps at the sudden contact of a cold can pressed against their nape. When they were about to confront who did such a thing they were greeted by a familiar smile. One he had already memorized as a child.
"You were too lost in your own thoughts, Kuni. I ought to bring you back to reality.", Kazuha mused as he occupied the chair next to Scara.
"What were you thinking anyway?"
Hand still wrapped around the can's body, its coldness made known to him, then he placed it on the table to which it made a soft clinking sound. Scaramouche who was still glaring at him merely responded with, "I was thinking how dumb you looked as a child."
"Mhm. Of course, of course."
Kazuha inserts a straw in his milk box and sipped on it casually.
"You did look very dumb."
Scaramouche said as they highlighted the word "dumb". When they opened the can and took a sip Kazuha was staring directly at them.
He didn't feel offended at the sudden retort but it was rather odd for scara to think of the past. It wasn't his place to ask though and one thing scara dislikes is being pushy.
The silence was deafening to say the least and it was starting to get on Scara's nerves but the sudden outburst might make the whole personality they have built crumble into thin air.
Scaramouche felt their eyes fixated on Kazuha.
Who was now reading the back of the milk box, ruby red orbs too focused to notice the person next to him who was staring to their heart's content.
The curve of his lower lip. The way his eyes furrowed. The manner in which he bit his lower lip. Scaramouche realized this view was a lot to take in. The mere fact that their friend grew up into a rather attractive fellow struck them.
"You're ... pretty." The words slipped out of the other's mouth before their mind could even plan on what to say.
Kazuha whose eyes were still glued on the box's writings only smiled and replied in a not so Kazuha way to which caught Scara by surprise.
"Now that you think i'm pretty ... Will it be too soon to assume you'll fancy me as times goes by?"
Color bloomed on the boy's cheeks and even though Kazuha was laughing softly, Scaramouche wasn't mad. They silently wished for the other male to keep his promise but ... would it be a little selfish to wish for them both to be something more?

So I had some Kazuscara moments in Windtrace during Christmas last year and this was one of them.
I was Kazuha and I didn't notice that the Scara rebel decided to hide right next to me, until we both got caught at the same time. Did he secretly hid next to me on purpose? 🤨
Anyway, the Kaeya rebel was left on his own and was like “Did yall hide together?”
I wanted to make a comic of this back then, but I didn’t have the confidence. I finally did it now! 😊

Happy early birthday to myself, and so we’re celebrating by writing headcanons about my three favorite ships (Kazuscara, Kaebedo, and Dottolone). ~My birthday is January 5th if you’re wondering~
~Also thank you to @gay-salt-amber for helping me with these~

Kazuscara HC:
- Their pet names for each other are:
Kazuha to Scara is Daffodil
Scara to Kazuha is My Samurai or Tulip
- Once Kazuha got a rip in his pants and thought ‘Shit- Scara’s gonna kill me’ and once Scara saw he was scolding Kazuha while sewing it again and saying “Seriously? A branch?”
- Scaramouche won’t let Kazuha go to the store for much, he grows it in their garden
- Once for their anniversary Kazuha took Scara to a haunted house thinking Scara would end up in his arms. He was wrong, he ended up in Scara’s
• Scaramouche: Tulip you’re fine, it was something tapping on a window. It’s not part of the attraction
• Kazuha- while being held by Scara in a koala hug: I don’t care! I’m scared
- Scaramouche is a shirt, hoodie, and scarf stealer
- Whenever one of them have a bad day, they will make a pillow/blanket fort and watch movies and cuddle
- Once Kazuha had to go out with Aether for an expedition and Kazuha was scared, so after Scara got done scolding Aether he went to make sure Kazuha was ok
- Scara is the househusband
- Kazuha is the little spoon and Scaramouche is the big spoon
- Kazuha wants to be babied whenever he’s sick, which Scara finds adorable
- Scaramouche when he becomes sick (which is rare) he becomes a brat
- Kazuha sings Scaramouche lullabies to sleep
- Once Kazuha overworked himself when he was exploring and ended up passing out and so Scara was worried sick and wouldn’t let him leave the house for the next few weeks
- Kazuha has an overload of problems and so Scaramouche makes him fidget toys and those earplug earring things
- When Kazuha is having a hard time sleeping, Scaramouche does his asmr voice to help him sleep
- They have two swings beside each other on a tree called the “Weeping Tree”
- Scara gifted Kazuha a white cat for his birthday and they named him Tomo
- Kazuha said to Childe once, “You’re the reason why the gene pool needs a lifeguard” and Scara couldn’t stop laughing for 30 mins
- Kazuha does Scara’s makeup
- They have matching maple leaf necklaces for whenever they’re away from each other

Kaebedo HC:
- Kaeya falls asleep to the sound of Albedo painting
- When they were in school, they were academic rivals
- After a long day in Dragonspine, Albedo just wants to be held by his human heater (aka Kaeya even tho he has a Cryo Vision)
- Klee brings Kaeya and Albedo to ‘Bring your Dad to School Day’ even tho neither of them are her dads
- Albedo still does only three strokes for Kaeya’s portrait, even after they got engaged, however for their anniversaries, Albedo will actually make a good portrait of Kaeya as his present
- Diluc (Kaeya’s brother) and Rhinedottir (Albedo’s creator) were the first to know of their relationship
- Their pet names for each other are:
Kaeya to Albedo: My Calla Lily or My Bunny
Albedo to Kaeya: My Ceclila
- Albedo knows how to play the ukulele and puts Kaeya to sleep playing it unreasonably fast
- Kaeya plays the bagpipes to annoy Albedo and to get him to stop working when he needs a break
- Once Albedo overworked himself in Dragonspine so much that Sucrose had to tell Kaeya to come get him because she was so worried
- Kaeya doesn’t understand shit about Albedo’s experiments but will still read his thesis papers and say “They look good Bunny, stop stressing yourself”
- Once Albedo fainted because of the cold in Dragonspine and Sucrose wasn’t there to get Kaeya, so later Kaeya was worried about where Albedo was and found him passed out in the snow and was so worried about him
- Albedo loves squishmallows and so Kaeya will secretly buy him some
- Once Albedo fell asleep in Kaeya’s hoodie and cuddling a squishmallow, Kaeya was jealous of a squishmallow
- Albedo loves piggyback rides and will tease Jean about it cuz Lisa doesn’t like to give her any
- Their house is surrounded by a koi pond and they will have picnics around it
- Albedo only wants comfort from Kaeya
- Albedo paints Kaeya’s eyepatch or else it’s “boring”
- Kaeya is Albedo’s ‘Human Canvas’
- Albedo wants to dye his hair but is too scared of what it’ll look like, and so Kaeya bleached some of his hair to Albedo’s shade and then dyed it to the color Albedo wants so Albedo will have more confidence in dying his hair

Dottolone HC:
- Whenever Dottore needs a test subject for his experiments, Pantalone will either offer himself if it’s not lethal (Dottore refuses to operate on him for experiments if it’s lethal) or offer one of his fatui servants
- Pantalone gives Dottore extra mora for his experiments. The other harbingers doesn’t think it’s fair but don’t say anything cuz then their pay will be lowered
- Once someone said something bad about Pantalone and Dottore had them be his next test subject on an experiment that he knew would be lethal
- Sometimes Dottore gets overstimulated and only wants attention from Pantalone during that
- On their first date, Pantalone spoiled Dottore to as much stuff as he wanted
- Dottore is Pantalone’s protective ‘dog’
- Pantalone gets sick in the winter alot and at first Dottore was super concerned because uh- it gets bad
- Once Childe punched Dottore cuz Dottore wanted to see what would happen. Childe’s pay halved for a year, it would’ve been 2 if Dottore didn’t tell Pantalone to just do 1 year
- On Dottore’s birthday, Pantalone spoiled him rotten
- During Signora’s funeral, they had to stop the ceremony many times cuz Dottore wouldn’t stop flirting with Pantalone
- During the Fatui Christmas, Pantalone and Dottore couldn’t be found. They were then found later making out in their room
- Their pet names for each other are:
Dottore to Pantalone: Sugar Daddy
Pantalone to Dottore: Sweetheart/Darling
- The first time Dottore called Pantalone ‘Sugar Daddy’ he wasn’t seen or heard from in weeks, he was spotted coming out of him and Pantalone’s room weeks later (He also called Pantalone ‘Daddy’ once and the other Harbingers wouldn’t let him live it down)
- Pantalone hated Dottore’s clones before they got yeeted from existence
- Pantalone draws on Dottore’s arms with markers whenever he’s bored
- Pantalone can do gymnastics really good and Dottore finds it hot
- Pantalone loves cats but Dottore hates them, he still lets Pantalone gets cats though

Kazuscara Hogwarts!AU
Kazuha looked up at his boyfriend through his soft blonde eyelashes. Kazuha thought Scaramouche looked breathtakingly beautiful when his normally pale skin was illuminated by the green hues of the Great Lake.
“Why are you staring at me?” Scaramouche inquired without taking his eyes off his potions textbook but removing his hand from Kazuha’s grasp to hastily loosen his green and silver necktie.
“I’m not,” Kazuha countered quickly averting his gaze towards Akuma, Scara’s black cat that lay at his feet. “Why would I even want to look at you?”
“Because I’m nice to look at. Obviously.” Scaramouche liked this. The never-ending witty banner and the feel of his boyfriend’s abnormally warm hands in his own. His peace was rudely interrupted as a mop of orange hair came into his view.
“Hi Scara,” Childe’s voice filled his ears and he wanted nothing more than to punch his friend in the face for ruining the little amount of alone time he got to share with Kazuha.
“Get out of my common room Tartaglia.” Kazuha could practically hear the annoyance in his boyfriend's voice and he resisted the urge to laugh.
“Why? You let the Hufflepuff come in all the time.” The ginger boy exclaimed, pointing his finger accusingly at Kazuha. “This is discrimination towards Gryffindors.” Childe huffed and crossed his arms in mock hurt.
“The Hufflepuff has a name, Ajax.” Kazuha knew the boy meant no harm but they had met on several occasions and Kazuha had helped him with his Herbology essay, the least Childe could do was use his name. Childe’s head whipped from Kazuha to Scaramouche.
“You told him my name!” Childs shook his head in bewilderment. “You're an evil little man, Scaramouche.” Scaramouche’s smirk was short-lived when his boyfriend began to speak.
“Was I not supposed to know? I apologize but if its any consultation Scara’s real name is Kunikuzushi.”
“What the actual fuck?” Scaramouche’s normally pale face was as red as the streak in Kazuha’s hair. “How do you even know that?”
“You told me when I made you brownies.” Kazuha said nonchalantly.
“When did you make me brownies?” Scaramouche racked his brain trying to place this new information into a timeline in his head.
Kazuha was still smiling as he spoke, “Two weeks ago.”
The pieces slowly began to click in Scara’s head and his eyes went wide. “Kazuha did you drug me?!” Childe couldn’t hold it in anymore and he burst out laughing, falling to the floor in the process. Scaramouche sent a hex at the ginger and he quickly shut up.
“No I didn’t drug you. I told you not to touch them and you ate them anyways. You drugged yourself.”
Scaramouche blinked and nodded his head in defeat. “You’re both banned from the Slytherin common effective immediately,” He said to reassert his dominance. He quickly began to push his boyfriend and best friend towards the portrait door. “Don’t come back. Ever.”
When the door was closed in their faces Kazuha turned towards Childe and said, “This is all your fault.” Kazuha stared at Childe’s red tie glaring at it. “And your tie is stupid. Red is not your color.” Kazuha then turned and walked out of the dungeons leaving Childe with all his thoughts.

10/10 I loved the tension and the heartburn it gave me after I finished reading all four chapters! This fic is around 23k words so I reccomend reading it when you have a couple of hours to spare. I felt like this fic did really well with the whole highschool romance to ex lovers who still have feelings for each other. It's definitely worth reading.
Black Orchids by too_indecisive_to_choose_a_name
KazuScara Week - Day 7 - Flower Shop
While making an odd bouquet delivery, Kazuha meets a certain person that makes his cheeks turn peony pink only for that same person to come into his shop a bit later where Kazuha can’t hide his face anymore…
10/10 I swear I was smiling the whole entire time while reading this fic. I still have no idea what Black Orchids mean but oh well. This fic is a one-shot and is only around 3.5k words so please go check it out!
The Maple Leaf Harbinger by too_indecisive_to_choose_a_name
KazuScara Week 2022 - Day 2 - Role Swap
Kazuha, the newest of the Fatui Harbingers finds himself questioning who he really has loyalty to when a certain wanderer takes Inazuma by storm.
Kazuha finds himself seeking out said wanderer, only to meet him aboard a boat to find out the two of them really aren’t that different.
8/10 Another amazing fic by this author! I really loved the role swap au for some reason! This one's also a one-shot and shouldn't take too long to read.

That fucking bitch.
Honestly, Scaramouche wasn’t at all surprised that Childe bailed out on him, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be annoyed at the ginger. Come to think of it, when wasn’t he annoyed with Childe. He could already feel the wrinkles from frustration on his face starting to form as he read the texts on his phone.

Hey so I kind of wanted to have a single room for myself so…I got one! Now we can both get our own separate rooms!

9/10 So maybe you should just go read all of this author's works. Listen, you don't understand what this fic has done to me. Just go read it... when you have a weeks worth of time to spare. It isn't complete btw.

8/10 Another incomplete work. So far I really enjoy seeing Kazuha's journey with Lumine and Paimon. I think this fic will turn out really good when it's finished!

Kazuha is the unofficial school matchmaker, and his best friend Scaramouche is the only person he can't seem to succeed in pairing off.
8/10 This fic is so so so cute. I just love it so much. It's a one-shot with around 5k words so please check it out!
It's Called Freefall by dilucae
As days turn to nights, little can quell the emptiness inside Wanderer's heart. Little, but not nothing. And seeing his lover again is certainly up there.
7/10 Short and sad. I did tear up a little. A memorable fic.
