Maybe I'm finally exiting my Crank Era about the overhead camera, because I will concede that using it for step sequences is useful. The most difficult thing to appreciate if you haven't watched much (or any) figure skating in person is speed. The overhead camera in a step sequence gives a much better sense of speed by showing the width and length of a skater's ice coverage. Kao Miura, as you can see, is a very speedy skater!*
*Yes, potentially at the expense of the complexity of the pattern, but I'd argue he's using his speed to make the best possible impression in the sequence, so good on him.
