Sometimes my brain just does stuff.. but I figured why not share this one.
It's about how Anthony B discovers his wife's with child for the fourth time!
It's a normal Saturday morning. The entire Bridgerton Family is present at Aubrey hall.
In this particular headcanon, all of the sudden, Kate craved cherries, (idk why it's cherries but just go with it lmao) but so do her son's.
And unfortunately for Kate, they ate them all. so when Kate wanted to eat breakfast (with the cherries of course), they're all gone.
She storms off to the dining room, knowing exactly who took them, and she's calling for her son's while she does so.
Meanwhile, Anthony sits with Charlotte on his lap. The girl might be considered a little too old to eat breakfast on her dad's lap, but it's her favorite spot so, yup, that's where she will be.
They all hear Kate coming. She's loud and noticeably upset.
"Edmund Anthony Bridgerton, Miles Benedict Bridgerton! You two have some explaining to do!"
Anthony, who's very glad he isn't the one in trouble this time just smirks to his two eldest and says: "Oh boys, she's middle naming you, I figure you two better run if you know what's best for you."
They do. And when Kate explains to her husband what's amiss, he talks to Cook, and they find her some lost cherries anyway.
But later that day, at dinner, the entire thing repeats itself.
The boys are clueless, but this time Anthony isn't. He knows his wife has cravings when she's with child. He knows how unreasonable she gets when she doesn't get to eat her favorite food while she's expecting. He just thought it wasnt possible anymore.
Boy did he got proven wrong 7 months later when Kate hands him their youngest child.

I appreciate my CBR team so much because they encourage me to write about topics I'm passionate about, and you all KNOW I'm passionate about Bridgerton. More specifically, you KNOW I adore Benedict Bridgerton.
So, I waxed poetic about his characterization, his purpose, how he's a hopeless romantic (Sophie Beckett!), and why he holds relevance even when he's not the season’s lead. I hope you enjoy it!

[when you’re working on a series of one-shots rewriting s2 so that the sharma women are front and center like they should have been and you definitely plan on sharing this one so you make a post about it to wet the whistle]
she’s a silver lining (lone ranger riding through an open space)
“I knew!” Edwina shouts, cutting off whatever argument Kate is preparing. Both Mama and Kate’s mouths shut with an audible click. Edwina licks her lips, twisting her hands together nervously. “I knew about the arrangement with the Sheffields.”
“Edwina . . . I do not understand,” Kate murmurs, moving to sit by their mother on the settee in front of the bed. Her brows are furrowed in concentration as she tries to make sense of Edwina’s confession. “How could . . . I never said anything in your presence that could have possibly indicated that the Sehffields even knew we were in England. How could you possibly know?”
Now it is Edwina’s turn to explain, her turn to kneel before Kate, taking her hands in her own. They are so cold compared to the clammy heat of Edwina’s own palms. It seems to be yet another reminder of just how different the two sisters are from one another but that does not change the love between them. And Edwina is determined that it never will.
“The night you confessed to Lady Danbury,” Edwina mumbles, cheeks flushing with embarrassment. “I was listening through the door.”
Kate curses under her breath in Hindustani, squeezing her eyes shut to hide her disappointment. Mama shares her sentiments though there is a faint blush on her cheeks from embarrassment for using just coarse language. Edwina had always been a curious child. Eager to learn everything that she possibly could - even those things their parents deemed too adult for children. Kate had admonished her more than once on how ladies did not listen to conversations or peer through keyholes to observe guests of their mother’s and it had stopped.
For a time.
But once they arrived in England, Kate had become so determined, so focused on finding Edwina a match with her disapproving stares and harsh opinions and constant reminders of love and what Edwina should want in a match. It was as if they had stopped being able to talk to one another if it were not about her marriage prospects, if it were not about Edwina reaching the potential that Kate has always told her that she was capable of.
Edwina knew it was all borne out of love but the weight of it had been so dreadfully heavy. So much heavier than it had ever been while they were in India.
Yes, her lessons had been plentiful and strenuous. Not only did Kate demand perfection, Edwina demanded it of herself as well. She may not have had her eye on the family ledgers the way Kate did but that did not stop her from realizing after Dada died that they were in a perilous situation. Edwina was young but she was not so young as to not know that an advantageous match would save them all and for that she needed to be perfect.
The idea of marriage, of being a wife and lady to some great man, was still some distant future that Edwina had never fully believed in regardless of all the stories Kate told her. They had arrived in London with little fanfare, with little attention, and with little prospects. Kate’s expectations for her match were high but there was no guarantee that Edwina could ever accomplish so much with so little.
Until she did.
She was perfect enough to be named the Queen’s diamond, to be the goal of every eligible bachelor in the ton. But even then, Kate reminded her of love and fairytale endings like the stories they read as children, reminded her of their childhood dreams of finding a true love match that would save them from their dwindling coffers and the ever present threat of destitution.
She hadn’t meant to listen in on their conversation that night, truly. She had simply wanted to see who Kate was talking to in their dressing room. It had been late and Edwina had expected her to be in the bed next to her, fast asleep and snoring slightly. Naturally, Edwina had gotten out of bed to go looking for her sister and, instead, had found herself listening as Lady Danbury’s stern voice carried through the door separating their bedchamber from their dressing room
Understanding had finally flooded through Edwina as she had listened. Everything that Kate had taught her, had pushed her to be, it all made so much more sense now. And a part of her had been furious that Kate would try to hide something that was so important to not only Edwina’s future but their mother’s as well.
Was she not a woman, ready to be a wife? Was she not here to start a life of her own with a husband of her choosing? Did she not deserve to know the truth?
Edwina had swallowed it all down, the bitterest of pills, as she had continued to listen. To hear Kate talk of how if she could not marry to save their family, then the least she could was to allow Edwina the chance to choose her own husband for love not his title or yearly income. It had broken Edwina’s heart, reminding her of the endless hours that Kate had spent teaching Edwina everything that she could about life in the British court instead of pursuing her own prospects, securing her own future.
It had not taken Edwina long to decide. Love or no, she would make the best choice that she could. She would secure the match the Sheffields required, she would marry well and, in doing so, give everyone what it was they truly wanted - Kate would have her freedom, her mother would have her safety, and Edwina . . . Edwina would have a husband just like Kate had always promised.
“Edwina,” Kate says, eyes closed as if she’s in pain. Edwina licks her lips, choking back the tears that want to fall. “I did not want you to know for a reason. It is not your burden to bear - it has never been your burden.”
“But it is all for me, is it not?” Edwina mumbles, voice cracking slightly. Kate squeezes Edwina’s hands, her thumbs running over Edwina’s knuckles. “All of the work and the sacrifices and the secrets? You did it all for me, Kate. The least I can do is lift the burden now that we are near the end. Is it so wrong that I too would want to protect and take care of my sister? My mother?”
“Edwina, the only thing that we have ever wanted from you was to be yourself and to be happy,” Kate insists. She lets go of Edwina’s hands and cups her cheeks, making sure that their eyes meet. “You are the light of both of our lives. The person that makes every hardship bearable. We do not need you to save us, we are the ones saving you.”
“Oh, Didi, that is nonsense!” Edwina shouts, wrenching herself from Kate’s grasp and standing up. There are tears pooling in her eyes out of frustration more than any other feeling. “It is absolute nonsense! Who are you to tell me how I should love my family? How I should not try to do as much for you as you have done for me? Does it not signify that we love each other just the same being sisters? Do I not have a right to think of your happiness as well as my own?”
“Lower your voice, Edwina, please,” Mama says softly, pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her eyes for a brief moment. Edwina has to bite her bottom lip to stop herself from continuing to argue.
When she opens her eyes again, she embodies every inch of the fine lady she had been raised to be and the governess she’d been acting as for years to try and support their small family. Edwina cannot help but feel like a little girl of ten years when she is on the receiving end of one of her mother’s stern looks. “We will not fight over this. We are a family and we shall face this together. It will not do to tear at each other’s throats trying to find who among us is responsible for our circumstances. The only thing to do now is move forward.”

All I care about in terms of season 3 is how much Anthony devouring kissing Kate scenes I get. I require A LOT.

I love the details in Bridgerton’s title sequence, especially the ones that call back to the books.
For Fangirlish, I wrote about why I like how the show's intro evolves to suit Saphne and Kanthony — and, hopefully, Polin for Bridgerton Season 3.

Season 3
I don’t think we have to be very worried about Kate and Anthony’s relationship in season 3. They will face ‘complications’ but I don’t see us questioning their love and devotion to each other even for a second. The challenges that they face are likely going to be external or relating to their individual pasts and traumas. Where we left off at the end of season 2 was still very early days the beginning of the happily ever after so to speak. Next season we’ll see them settling into married life and new responsibilities. For Kate especially this is going to take some adjusting to and some struggles may arise. I’m first to criticise the writers and shondalands love of melodrama and angst but I don’t see Kantony suffering mercilessly in the little we will see of them next season. They haven’t even started filming yet allow for some optimism there’s always time to be disappointed if I am wrong when season 3 drops…

There are so many things might be ‘complications’, here are a few that make sense to me ;
• Anthony struggling to balance his time between with Kate and his family who still rely heavily on him
•Anthony loving his wife too much ( he never expected to marry for love)
• Kate adjusting to being a wife(she never expected to marry)
• Kate learning how to be Viscountess
• Kate adjusting to English high society, it’s expectations and culture, possibly homesickness
• Kate and Anthony’s respective traumas being stirred up after a big life changing event (marriage)
• Pregnancy, potential complications and adjusting to parenthood
• Anthony becoming his own man out from under Edmunds shadow now he is a husband and father

I'm still so in love with the fact that they wanted each other so much in this moment, that they didn't even care that their families were inside. And that they could possibly get caught at any moment.

So Bridgerton trailer has blessed us, a month away from the actual HALF (Wtf) third season.
We have KAntony, we have some heartbroken Penelope, lots of shirtless Colin and many more “matters of the heart” with mama violet.
From “friends” to lovers.
