I had wished we had more time and adventures with the HexSquad. xD. But well being forced to have a super short final season is what it is =3= . I appreciate that the plot and character stories mostly ended pretty neatly xD ;;;.

I had to speedrun this draw for a local con that just ended xDD.

This was for a Secret Santa in an Alberose server (I submitted minutes literally before the New Year rolled in) . One of the prompts was to integrate the song Dandelions in the drawing. Felix noticed her pale, silver-blue eyes when they made eye contact, and also how any sign of friendliness disappeared when she reached down to grab her slipper and chuck it at him. The clock is ticking in the background. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Albedo does not back down. Neither does Sucrose. And then, as if they were a copper wire being snapped in half, they both look away at the same time, Albedo clearing his throat, Sucrose coughing, her hand at her too-fast chest.

They share a look, then a smile. And this is okay, Sucrose thinks later, as she stares at the rim of her teacup. It’s okay to take it slow. She knows what this feeling is now, but there’s still so much more she doesn’t know. Like just exactly how fast her heart beats near him, how warm her body temperature becomes, how close she can get without feeling lightheaded. There’s time to discover what exactly this would mean for both of them, one step of an experiment at a time. After all, Sucrose has patience in spades. Enough to wait until the time is ripe, and certainly enough to wait for flowers to bloom.

From the 'press your skin unto my overweathered pages' fanfic by the wonderful Lethe My pieces for the Alberose Minibang event  ‘7′! I didnt have the full context of the first scene when I decided to draw it out so my interpretation isnt as subdued and is more comedic. But I think it's still fun xD

I think I put too much effort on the foreground and background of the second scene but lol Im always an ambitious butt >v>

“Okay, open them,” he said quietly. Sucrose could hear the smile in his voice. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she hesitated for just a moment - then opened her eyes.

Stretching before her was a small meadow, just about twelve feet around, filled with dozens of wildflowers. She gasped, covering her mouth in surprise as she slowly stepped into the clearing. Some of the flowers were glowing with a soft blue light, as if filled with fireflies. She crouched in front of one, entranced by the luminescence.

“What’s this one?” She asked, looking back at Albedo who was watching her with a gentle smile. He walked over and crouched by her side.

“This one is a small lamp grass. They’re especially beautiful at night. There are some in the castle gardens, but they’re not being tended correctly. Their glow is almost imperceptible compared to these wild ones.”

Sucrose turned back to the flower, touching the delicate bulb with her finger as she marveled at the beauty of it. She wanted to know why it glowed. What were they doing wrong at the castle that theirs wouldn’t glow? How could they fix it? Was it something that could be fixed, or was a lost glow lost forever? She’d never had so many questions about such a seemingly simple thing. Lol, one of my favorite story tropes is apparently Royalty AUs xDD. Especially if they're written really well. In this fanfic Sucrose is the princess while Albedo is the new (frustratingly mysterious, for me) royal alchemist. Sucrose has every comfort a royal could afford but she’s unhappy, has no friends, feels purposeless and finds no joy in the things she’s expected to do and be. One day a new royal alchemist arrives, Albedo, as a political gift from the other kingdom. When they finally meet, they hit it off well and Albedo is happy to mentor her but would the princess ever even be allowed to be an alchemist?    DA Version

Felix looked back down to his plate to see the saddest pudding he’s ever laid eyes on. The color wasn’t very vibrant and it was broken at places.
