I had to get labs done while at the doctors today. My phlebotomist handed me a vile of my own blood and asked me if I could hold it for a minute because “it was glass and she didn’t want to drop it” before I even processed what she had asked me she had placed the vile in my hand. I sat there dumbfounded and just said “uhm no. I’m sorry I will absolutely puke on your floor and pass out”

She looked at me with the most offended face I’ve ever seen. I’m sitting there like hi. I’m offended you even asked. I’m also the clumsiest person I’ve ever met so I’m lucky I didn’t drop it.
