hoooooo boy, get ready cuz i got a whole character arc below
(again this is just my take on the story, so it's highly headcanonned)
"I'm sorry for running away. I'll make sure to make it up to you and your mother..."
nacho was more reckless back in his former years when he was first having a fling with frances. but when he did get her pregnant, he realized that he messed big time. realized that not only he's got a child on the way but has no means to provide for them both and isn't personally ready for big commitments like being a father or even getting married. why would he be? he was barely even 20. he never really thought that far ahead.
he didn't want to ask his parents for help. they'd definitely kill him if they figured out he got this girl they never met pregnant. he didn't also have the guts to tell frances the bad news.
his buddies at the time, who were just as reckless and short-sighted as he was, recommended that he could just... leave all that complicated and deep mess with frances behind him. just run away.
i mean he could do it. like him, frances probably wouldn't turn and complain to her parents first for help (for the same reason nacho wouldn't turn to his own parents for help) . his parents doesn't even know they had a fling together. even if she will become desperate enough to find them and try to turn to them for help, would they even accept her? let alone believe her?
"you wouldn't get in trouble. there's no one else that knows about it than you two."
" i mean, i'm sure she'll figure out something. she should know at least the basics."
that's what his buddies kept on assuring him. but even he could see that just up and deserting frances like that is just straight up cruel.
but was he in any room to still complain? it's not as if he had the resources nor the strong will to commit and face the heavy consequences of his actions.
and with that, he ran off but wracked with the small feeling of guilt.
while he tried having his new start, that feeling of guilt just grew bigger and bigger and started eating away at his conscience. he kept on trying to deny and delude himself with the words of his buddies, but it did nothing to stop that guilt completely.
it made him finally see that he's nothing more than a dirty dog running with its tail between its legs. a jerk and a coward. he had a feeling that he was going to have his comeuppance and it wasn't going to be pretty.
and so it did, a year and a half after he ran. his partner, depressed and completely driven to madness , tracked him down and almost murdered him in a psychotic rage.
he was forced to see the result of his cowardice and neglect. he didn't blame frances for doing that. who wouldn't go mad if they've been abandoned by someone who thought they could trust?
after she was stopped, he decided not to press charges on frances , although that didn't stop her from still getting institutionalized. being incapable to care for her child, nacho finally decided to man up and take his and frances' child up as his own and take raise him.
he knew that it's such a scummy thing to do. to just NOW take up the responsibility when everything was blown out of proportion. but he decided to not run away now, just because of that. his son needed a parent more than anything else now.
as he went on raising anatolii, he felt that he had absolutely nothing to be praised for. unknowing people says: "you're such a strong man, raising a son all by yourself."
he just did what he should have done from the start. right now, he takes care of his son wholeheartedly as an act of repentance, for both frances and anatolii. to show that he's truly sorry for being the coward he is.
for now, nacho is keeping the truth the whole mess between him and frances well-kept from anatolii. the only thing that anatolii does know about his mom is that she's alive but never drops by to visit due to some "personal problems and conflicts". but nacho always assures him that his mother loves him no matter what.

Y/N wakes to shuffling in her bedroom. Her eyes flutter open to the sight of a bare-assed Tommy picking up his boxer briefs from the floor.
"Why are you naked?" she gasps turning on to her back, her head turned towards the opposite wall. As soon as those words left her lips, memories of the night before flash in her mind.
Her nails scratching down his back. The feel of Tommy’s lips on her skin. The way Tommy’s fingers gripped her thighs. The way he moved his hips. The way her toes curled. Her body overwhelmed by the pleasure she was feeling.
“Do you not remember?” she hears him ask. “You can look again.”
“No, no I can’t,” she shakes her head. “I remember none of that,” she adds, her voice giving away to the fact that she does remember it... all of it.
Hearing Tommy work his lighter, she turns her head, biting the inside of her lip as she sees him standing there in his boxers, lighting his cigarette. His pretty blue eyes eventually meet hers causing her cheeks to heat up as more memories from the night before flash in her mind.
It had been her that had made the first move. After some drinks at the Garrison, Tommy offered to walk her home. In her slightly inebriated state, she accepted his offer and allowed him to walk home with her.
She wasn’t drunk, only having enough drinks to where she felt tipsy. Knowing what she was doing, but unable to stop herself, she leaned in and planted her lips to his. When she goes to pull away and apologise, Tommy took her head in his hands and held her to him as he kissed her back.
Next thing she knew, they were in her bedroom, stripping each other's clothes off as their minds shut out all their problems and their bodies become one. Neither of them thought about the consequences of their actions.
“You’re lying,” Tommy says as he moves to sit on the bed. He hands her the cigarette he just lit. He always knows when she isn’t being honest. She has a tell only he was able to pick up on.
“I can never lie to you,” she sighs taking the cigarette and takes a drag from it before handing it back to him. “What happens now?” she asks, “You leave to go back to France this afternoon.”
“Let’s not think about that right now,” he takes one of her hands in his, entwining their fingers together. “Let’s just enjoy this and figure out what’s next when I come home again.”
Y/N bites the inside of her cheek, stopping herself from saying what she really wants to say.
Instead, she takes the cigarette from him and places it in the ashtray on her bedside table. She cups his cheeks kissing him as he pulls her onto his lap, deepening the kiss.
All thoughts of what this means and what this could lead to leave their minds as they lose themselves in each other once again.

PJO!Collette who was made angry and not born angry because of the expectations their mother had, while quite literally being just 8-9
PJO!Collette who could never understand why their mother sprayed them with loads of perfume in order for their smell to not track monsters
PJO!Collette who got sick of their mother's bullshit they were on the edge of running away, while being 8-9
PJO!Collette who in the end got told the truth and were simply dropped off at the camp, though not without a monster leaving a nasty scar on their back, while being 8-9
PJO!Collette who saw Grover when waking up in the infirmary, debating whether or not he's not worthy of their aggression and sparing him the insults
PJO!Collette who felt agitated to be in cabin 11 and didn't like Luke Castellan for whatever reason that may be
PJO!Collette who got claimed by Ares after getting into a fight with one of his children for shoving their shoulder
PJO!Collette who got along better with their cabin and letting Clarisse get to their head by letting her influence them
PJO!Collette who nearly fucking died during their first quest all because the Spear of Mars was taken by those who were seeking to plunge the world into chaos, to end up with an early birthday "gift" from Ares (which was an electric guitar that could convert to an two headed axe or sword)
PJO!Collette who, at the time, was ten-fucking-years old, during said quest, filled with rage that no child should have, though that anger died down when hearing about a new kid's arrival and that kid ending up being Coco and their beloved best friend
PJO!Collette who was the only child of Ares that had the guts to not back off when Luke said so, despite that Ares kids don't mess with him at all
PJO!Collette who hadn't even met Percy yet and let Clarisse whisper to them from how much of a fraud he is, thus as to why they strongly dislike him and Luke
PJO!Collette who hated Percy more after hearing what he did to Clarisse her spear, just to end up letting their anger get the best of them and nearly beating him to a pulp had it not been for Coco and Cole interfering and holding them back ("There's nothing special about you! You just got lucky because you don't know anything about being a demigod, you don't know the hell we all went through and you walk in acting like you know what you're doing!")
PJO!Collette who, despite that their cabin was known to be quite hotheaded, ended up being the only one who had to take anger management classes because apparently their anger was a level too high
PJO!Collette who couldn't be nice to neither Percy or Annabeth for the life of them, but would be less aggressive when it comes to Grover, way more with Coco
PJO!Collette who was the last one to stay behind to finish listening to the Oracle whom said that something horrible was bound to happen if they'd go with Coco, Cole and Chomei on quest, knowing that three was the holy number yet couldn't let Coco out of sight, just to see the consequences of their actions (that being Chomei dying in their place and Cole dying later on despite that it was actually three people during that moment)
PJO!Collette who thought they'd always be the one to carry Coco after every quest, never having thought for a second they'd get carried
PJO!Collette who later on developed feelings for their best friend, though learned that someone else was after her too and was nearly winning her heart (and Luke was certainly following his father's footsteps if he was this good at stealing Coco's heart)
PJO!Collette who did what they could to not let their father down, though, with their mother they stopped trying but she was more understanding than said father.
PJO!Collette who through the years knew it'd be impossible to pleas their father, as neither they nor Clarisse could be the sons he's wanted, learning that he's wanted a soldier and not a child
PJO!Collette who found themselves crying in their mother's arms, knowing she wouldn't belittle them for spilling out the inner turmoil that's been threatening to leak for years
PJO!Collette who ended up being a mama's girl kid instead of a papa's girl kid
PJO!Collette who, somehow, saw the more fatherly side of Mr. D, still grumpy but yet fatherly, too.
PJO!Collette who thought that the reason Ares gave them their crimson sunglasses was to show the supposed faith he never had for them, who went their way to get a leather jacket like his only to later on discover that the sunglasses were meant to be thrown away and instead given to them because like the sunglasses, they should've been thrown away as well
PJO!Collette who didn't understand why, why they ended up developing the same feelings they've felt (and still do) for Coco as for Percy, when clearly, they're unlovable
PJO!Collette who realized that the hatred they felt for Percy and Luke wasn't hatred but Envy, realizing they envied their skills and achievements, realizing that they hurt the both of them not out of spite but because they were jealous and were influenced by Clarisse
PJO!Collette who couldn't understand why they could tolerate Chris Rodriguez more than his brother, why they could tolerate Grover Underwood more than his best friend, why they were practically playing favourites just like their father
PJO!Collette who knew that they couldn't open their heart and reveal what they've been feeling for both the son of Poseidon and the daughter of Demeter, knowing that they would be stuck being FWB with said daughter of Demeter. And only they knew that they could label it as such because she didn't know a thing.
PJO!Collette who didn't understand why Percy was still being nice to them, why they continued being a dick to him because it's the role they've forced themselves to play through the years
PJO!Collette who knew time was ticking and therefore chosen to do something nice before they'd eventually leave
PJO!Collette who sacrificed themselves as a last way to show that they've given up the battle and couldn't be strong anymore
PJO!Collette who only managed to confess to Coco with a blade against their throat before it got cut, falling deeper in Tartarus if that's even possible, knowing that Grover would be the only one to genuinely witness their belated redemption and change of heart, that the others couldn't witness it like he did
PJO!Collette who couldn't feel their face getting cradled by Coco, couldn't feel her tears on her face and couldn't feel how they'd be the one getting carried by her now
PJO!Collette who didn't care whether they'd go to the fields of punishments or to Asphodel, knowing that wherever they'd land they'll be fine with it
PJO!Collette who ended up serving Hades and Persephone as their Royal Knight instead, not knowing that for once Ares said something genuinely nice and put in a good word for them to put them in said position, to spare them for they have went through enough
PJO!Collette who, till this day, still loves Coco, still loves Percy.
PJO!Collette who in the end, after everything that's happened, despite everything.
They still loved their father.

One thing that really gets my goat about how Sakura is written is that she does occasionally start to do something, but the narrative shuts her down. Like this:
Sakura goes to leap into the arena to see Lee after his fight with Gaara. Kakashi shuts her down. Contrast this to the panels that immediately follow this one:
Naruto does the exact same thing and no one bats an eye!
It’s not that I think characters shouldn’t be stopped from doing what they want— it’s just that when it’s a consistent pattern it makes reading about the character really frustrating. When Haku traps Sasuke in his mirror prison thing, Sakura hurls a kunai to help… and Kakashi tells her to guard Tazuna. She does this obediently for the rest of the fight, INCLUDING when she literally thinks Sasuke is dead (Tazuna has to offer to go to Sasuke with her to get her to move). Sakura’s willingness to do this is actually an interesting character trait, but because it’s couched in this weird lack of agency, it makes her seem complacent and cowardly, especially when the take away of a lot of fights seems to be “try no matter what.”
Here’s another example: in the first part of the chunin exam, they’re all told they can pick to answer a final question and risk being banned from promotion, OR they can back out now and take the exam again later. If Sakura were alone, she’d take the question because she’s confident in her abilities.
However, she starts to raise her hand to back out because she wants to protect Naruto.
She backs off when Naruto gives a speech about never giving up, even though her making them all back out is arguably the more mature choice (why would you drag a teammate along on a mission you know they’ll fail?). She also tries to pull them out of the prelim tournament because Sasuke needs urgent medical attention, and he shuts her down AGAIN. Like, looking at this with the wisdom of an adult, Sakura was definitely in the right there.
To be clear, I don’t mind Sakura being a cautious killjoy to Naruto’s “Believe it!” Shonen protag energy. It’s just that whenever she tries to exercise that caution, it gets shut down and that makes it seem like a negative trait to have. (Also: contrast this to Shikamaru being REWARDED for exercising caution and knowing when to back out). I’m not even arguing that the scenes I cited need to be changed, because they do character work for Naruto and Sasuke. I’m just saying that Sakura could have gotten a few more scenes where her choices were plot relevant, and she’d be a more fleshed out character.
#nardo reread#she does get two fights but they’re not consequential to the plot#although interestingly she lies to Naruto about what happens with the oto trio#he asks why her hair is shorter and she says she just felt like a new look#and then later there’s a flashback where Sasuke tells her not to tell Naruto about the curse mark so she doesn’t#if only any of Sakura’s decisions (here— lying) had consequences!#wouldn’t that be fun!!#anyway I wrote this up bc I think this is one of the big flaws I. how kishimoto writes her#and I feel like a lot of people think she’d be ‘fixed’ by giving her a battle axe or something but no!!#just let her actions have consequences!!!

I can't believe that they had Tamara make The Single Most Cool and Important Decision in all of the Magisterium series (to betray Call and side with the Assembly) and then they didn't do anything with it. Like they had her pull one of the greatest gaslight gatekeep girlboss moments of the millennium!!! and then had her and Call get back together with no resentment from anyone whatsoever in TGT ):

Funny how like 90 percent of people wanting the wilds back hate to acknowledge the fact that it's partly their fault. I want the wilds to be renewed as well, however if I DARE say yall aren't ready for it and a small part of me thinks some viewers are undeserving I'm the bad guy. Right because the vast majority of you didn't openly admit to skipping over the boys parts in the show, smh. If you arent watching the whole episode why would they want to renew it? They want views, they want money. Do I want the wilds back? Of course. Do I think the gretchen clones deserve it? No. Be better.

I’m getting tired of Sonny bringing up Carly when talking to nina it just feels WEIRD… I really don’t wanna see a Carson reunion but it’s starting to feel like the pikeman/cyrus bs might end up being the catalyst for one… sonaritas should we be worried. 😟
also Tolly agreeing to use krissy as the surrogate… wasn’t there literally a whole argument against doing this months back that resulted in tolly icing krissy out for several weeks…? once again I must assert this whole surrogate storyline is a load of barnacles

So watched the recap and Brennan said Aguefort created at least some of the time quangles (the mall was also a quangle) and I think that’s the favoritism Kipperlilly is talking about. Arthur cronomantically bailed them out twice I believe. The final battle in Freshman year and in Sophmore year to allow Ayda to research planeshift. Lastly and most importantly he turned back time to make it so the Bad Kids Sophomore project was finished on time. Now this could be enough for Kipperlily and the ratgrinders to get pissed about. They didn’t do it on time wah wah. And as funny as it would be for the antagonists to be antagonists for petty reasons. And I do think it started petty. I think that first bail out is what made the ratgrinders or at the time high five heroes start to “famously hate you guys”. But considering the end of Sophomore year is also when Lucy died. Part of me thinks that can’t be it. Something happened during the quangle. Or even because of it. And I think that’s what turned them against Aguefort and the bad kids in earnest.
#these are all things I am super confident about#but tags are where we can get more unhinged or at least unsubstantiated#I’m thinking about the sophomore year project#it was the entirety of the second season.#it was most of their grades#I do not think they could have passed with just rats#I think theirs was a mystery about the unnamed god#I think it went wrong#whether it went wrong really because of a quangle or not idk#but I think quangle makes sense because this season is about consequences of actions#and Arthur absolutely has made some buckwild actions#that never got consequences#I think Lucy got possessed by red stars and it was worse#because she is giantkin#I think they had to kill her#and I don’t think the glyph is keeping her from coming back#I think it’s making it so only the unnamed god can get her back#I think they want to bring back Lucy and the god#and let their rage take over#and bring the world to its knees#like those visions adaine got

I get trying to be a good and nice teacher and district policy and whatnot but I’m just saying if your students don’t do the work, fail them.
#chatterye#my prof said that the final would replace a lower exam grade if you had one#and obviously that means it would double count and not be like a dropped exam grade#but people took it as we can fail the final and it’ll drop#which is NOT true#but she’s nice so she dropped it because so many people didn’t try at ALL#I would’ve fucking failed all of them deadass#it’s in our syllabus that the final has more weight than an exam you can’t just expect it to go away like that#I did not work this hard to skip our final for them to get a free pass like this#and I just saw a hs teacher talk about how her students didn’t do the final because they didn’t want to#because they know she won’t fail them which is crazy because it’s true#being a nice teacher is great and all but have some self respect and don’t let yourself be absolutely disrespected by your students???#actions have consequences FAIL THEM
