Thought for longer than two seconds abt his wanted poster and now I laugh at how he was depicted as all disheveled and screaming by whoever drew this because if he ever got taken in by the cops I cannot imagine how much he’d be yelling and making a huge fuss

Ok hear me out here.

We know that;

1. Hunter has a Sprig plushie

2. Anne actually exists in the shared universe so Amphibia is happening parallel to Owl House and is NOT a TV show from the Human Realm

Conclusion;

One day, Hunter tuned his crystal ball randomly to the Real Amphibia. Hijinks ensued, which lead him to believe that he was watching a funny TV show, which he loved so much he scraped together his own Sprig doll (with -5 sewing ability)

So with all this in mind I submit to you; Hunter tries to learn as much as he can while he’s trapped in the Human Realm, so he reads months worth of back newspapers. When he gets to the frog invasion of LA he’s just like “Anne Boonchuy? From my shows? She’s REAL??”

Polly, Maddie and Ivy being sisterly towards each other is a highly underrated dynamic concept I wish was explored more by the fandom.

It turns out being in a Diffuser squad on loan to the 'Experts in everything that goes Boom' Corps may not be quite the best fit for Specialist 'Greatest fear is being Vaporized' Sprig, so on the request of his new Captain, Jet, he transfers out of the 398th Ordinance Corps (Helix and the 398th belong to @fives-girlfriend) to 218th Urban Crisis Response, or 'Glorified Port Security' uhh which generally encounters explosives closer to dynamite than proton bombs.

Captain Helix could probably agree there are worse ways to lose a soldier than a unit transfer; Although when he see's where Sprigs going.... well he wont be able to say it's worse than most alternatives but he can certainly question the Specialist's judgement, because Crisis Company certainly know how to make first impressions. Sprig's just happy to get the hell out of there, no offense, Sir.

Looks like Torch's 'I'm a little silly little guy, you wouldn't hit a silly little guy?' routine did not quite pan out this time

if we do a live tree again this year i'm stealing a small sprig of it once more. 1) the smell is a really good pick-me-up when you're feeling sluggish, 2) fir trees apparently represent determination and endurance which is just what i need during the wintertime before our winter break
