Kung fu Panda 4 being announced reminded me of how much I love this entire franchise!
I really hope that with the old villains returning we get to see them in their full/semi-full glory and not just like the jade warriors Kai used where yes they can fight but are pretty much just hollow husks. I feel there is way too much comedy to be had with Tai Lung, Lord Shen and General Kai all in a room together trying to plan evil scheme #152
I can just see poor Tai Lung screwing up a mission and Shen threatens to turn him into a fur rug😭😭😭

A wise friend once asked, "Shen treats his soldiers horribly why are they so loyal to him?"
And to that I propose a personal headcanon that some - most of the wolf soldiers that make up Shen's army joined it post his exile.
Abandoned or lost wolf pups would be taken in and trained to be loyal, skilled and deadly warriors for the exiled Lord's army. While the older and more experienced wolf soldiers would handle majority of the puppy care + training duties, there were times when Shen would have to fill-in. Although never thrilled about the arrangements the lord would nonetheless do his best to care for the pups and bond with some.
However, as the fear of the prophecy becoming true ate more and more away at the Lord Shen's psyche, over time he began to only see his soldiers as any other disposable tools in his quest to prove fate wrong.
Which is just a long fancy way of me saying Shen had to regularly puppysit. He did not enjoy it but grew to tolerate it and I imagine tolerance is Shen's way of showing affection.

Touhou OC ~ 🫖
Name — Vermillion Dream ~ Tea Time Fairy
Species — Fairy
Ability — Making anything taste sweet
Vermillion Dream is a Fairy that resides in/near several human settlements in Gensokyo. Unlike other fairies she doesn’t enjoy pulling pranks or tormenting humans which results in her being seen as a goody two-shoes by other fairies.
It isn’t uncommon to see her playing tea time with younger humans, fairies or youkai along with hosting fancy parties and delivering gifts in the form of treats she makes. Although she can make a plethora of things taste sweet she mostly uses her ability to ‘substitute’ ingredients for her recipes, which has led to a few incidents of mysterious food poisoning.
Same protocol as last time the art style I used here is meant to be a mashup of ZUN'S style alongside my own so there are elements of both.
I imagine that Vermillion's danmaku/spell cards would have a sort of dessert theme to them. I hope I was able to showcase that in the in-battle mockup I doodled at the side. The bullet patterns are based off thumbprint cookies

Touhou OC ~ 🥀
Name — Briallen Maria ~ Liberator of Roses
Species — Sage Vessel (human formerly) , Sage Vessel Husk (upon defeat)
Occupation — Scientist (by 1690s standards) , Studier of Gensokyo Magic & Sages
Ability — Creating unstable 'holes' in realities (temporary) , Using magic (standard/upon defeat)
Briallen Maria came from an outside world beyond Gensokyo. Upon making a scientific breakthrough, she and her colleagues were accused of witchcraft and sentenced to be executed until an event that involved her phsyical body colliding with a door Okina summoned, caused Briallen to temporarily obtain a sage-like status. However this new state of being is incredibly unstable and is too much for Briallen's human body to handle long-term.
Okina's power colliding with Briallen's physical body allowed for the human and her friends to flee to Gensokyo to escape their deaths. Although everyone was able to make it to Gensokyo safely Briallen is of the belief that 1 of her friends is still 'stuck' in their original world. (This is due to Briallen thinking the backdoor that emerged from her body is another person due to it sharing her memories.)
Briallen's fear of someone being left behind caused her to create multiple rips in reality in an attempt to 'save' them. These rips eventually catch the attention of Reimu and Marisa.
TLDR: Okina's has a bad case of butter fingers
I mashed-up ZUN'S artstyle with my usual style and I'm very happy with the results since ZUN's art style is never not fun to do! I designed her with the mindset that she is the final boss of a hypothetical Touhou game so apologies in advance if she seems a bit overpowered (even though her reality breaking power is temporary).
Also she was a crutch user far before the incident with Okina she's just looks more badass now.

"The witch of towers. Her nature is envy. She constantly searches for the perfect castle to be rescued from but alas can never find one that meets her dearest prince's standards. She becomes hostile at other 'princesses' that enter her labyrinth, magical girl or otherwise."
Hello everyone! I'm once again posting some of my older artwork. This was a general throw-away witch character for my madoka magica fan characters and was done in 2019 — early 2020 if my memory serves me correctly!
This is the original version of the design which I tweaked a bit as there were some errors along with tried to make some of the shapes more readable (or as readable as a witch can be...🥲) I couldn't find any familiars to go along with her in my old files so it's just the witch for now.
