BREAKING NEWS - MISSING WITCH RETURNED HOME UNHARMED AS SEARCH FOR CRUMP CONTINUES
12 January 1983
KINTBURY, BERKSHIRE - The Flint family are overjoyed today as their missing daughter returns home. Twenty-six-year-old Rosalie Flint disappeared after attending the annual Yule Ball festivities held at The Crystal Pavilion on Friday 24th December, an eye witness recalled seeing Miss Flint leave the ballroom floor with an unidentified man before vanishing without a trace. Her mother Lotte Flint reported her daughter missing on Saturday 25th December after Miss Flint failed to return home in the early hours as was expected. Her return concludes a nineteen day search for the missing witch. The Flint family have been very vocal about the disappearance of their youngest daughter, inviting media into their homes to discuss Miss Flint and drum up support from the public to help find their missing daughter. Miss Flint’s brother Decius Flint, 30, has been one of the lead voices in the search for his sister, handing out fliers around the country and speaking publicly until she was found this morning. “We’re so overjoyed she’s home,” Mr Flint told The Daily Prophet. “We are never letting Rosalie out of our sight ever again, she is truly so special to us all,” Mr Flint continued. “My sister and I are incredibly close, I don’t know what I would do without her.”
Miss Flint’s disappearance remains puzzling for the Ministry. According to a source in The Department of Magical Law Enforcement who wishes to remain anonymous, Miss Flint was found in her bed in the early hours of Tuesday morning with no idea how long she had been missing. “It’s all a bit strange if you ask me,” our source told The Daily Prophet. “I think she must have been knocked out or something, stinks of that Silas Crump. In the current climate she’s lucky to be alive.” Despite our insider believing notorious werewolf Silas Crump, 38, is to blame for the disappearance of Miss Flint, the Ministry are not prepared to comment further on if they believe Mr Crump snatched away Miss Flint over two weeks ago. “We are so pleased Miss Flint has returned home to her family safely,” Head of The Auror’s Office, Alicia Avery-Jones said today in a statement to the press. “The Ministry are doing all that we can to keep the British wizarding public safe but we are asking everyone to remain on guard and stay alert. We have our most esteemed Aurors working on the Crump case and can confirm he will not remain at large for much longer. The Ministry, Wizarding Britain and it’s leadership remains safe and stable.”
The Daily Prophet requested further information on the Crump case including if the Ministry had any further leads or had located the whereabouts of the Minister’s eldest son Harrison Bagnold, 32, who has not been seen since Miss Flint went missing. Representatives for Mrs Avery-Jones and Minster for Magic Millicent Bagnold declined to comment.

EMMELINE VANCE is THIRTY-ONE YEARS OLD and an AUROR in THE DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT at THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. She looks remarkably like KARLA SOUZA and considers herself aligned with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. She is currently TAKEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
Emmeline Vance has always prided herself on being the brightest witch of her age. An avid reader from childhood, Emmeline has always been happiest whilst learning. As a child she would sit in the drawing room of her family home, hidden behind a set of curtains in a window seat pouring through her latest obsession she’d found in her family library. Reading had always been encouraged in the Vance household. Her father had been a journalist working for The Daily Prophet, whilst her mother had worked as an Auror for The Ministry of Magic meaning current affairs were a frequently discussed topic in their home. Though sometimes the subject matter their parents discussed was dark, they tried not to shy too much of it away from Emmeline and encouraged her to ask questions about the world around her without frightening her too much about the lands that lay beyond their town house in Baker Street. A curious child, Emmeline was interested in what her parents did for work and was confident enough within herself to ask about the politics of the wizarding world, whatever she couldn’t figure out on her own of course. Emmeline had a thirst for finding information and a strong sense of right and wrong that was far beyond her age.
Though she grew up as an only child, Emmeline was rarely alone when she required company due to her close relationship with her next door neighbour. ELIAS SPENCER-MOON was the grandson of a previous Minister for Magic and only slightly older than Emmeline. Their fathers had also both worked together at The Daily Prophet securing the close relationship between the two families. Whilst their parents were working, the two would spend their days being ferried between one another’s houses and prepared to attend Hogwarts. When classes were over, they’d both sit and read in silence together or discuss their plans to attend school and grow up like their parents. Emmeline had a clear sense of right and wrong and wanted to help change the world to be a better place and protect those who weren’t able to protect themselves, which was shared by Elias. They had dreams of graduating school and moving back to London to do amazing things and vowed no one would stand in their way. Elias went to Hogwarts first, returning to tell Emmeline of the magic and splendor that awaited her three years later. Then finally it was her turn, her letter arrived and the rest of her life was about to begin.
Emmeline sat under the sorting hat for the longest amount of time in her year group as the hat decided between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw before proudly announcing her the latter. Despite being known by those close to her for her determination and loyalty, Emmeline is best known for her wit and intelligence which made Ravenclaw feel like her perfect fit. A stickler for the rules and a passionate young witch, Emmeline garnered a reputation for being a fairly quiet know-it-all, frequently sticking up her hand to answer questions to the joy of her teachers and the annoyance of her classmates, particularly AMOS DIGGORY who frequently enjoyed teasing her. Though in the social setting of Hogwarts Emmeline faded into the background, she was loud when it mattered and caught the attention of many of her professors and was proudly made a Prefect and a member of Slug Club during her time at school. Though she was often teased for her bookishness she made a best friend in cool girl HESTIA JONES, who was able to bite back against those who attempted to bully them for being the smartest girls in their year group. Emmeline didn’t care much for the opinions of bullies and threw herself into her school work and after school activities, which included Duelling Club, Charms Club and Potions Club.
It was this commitment to her classes and all her activities she was chosen by PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL to receive a time turner to help her pick up extra classes, which resulted in Emmeline graduating with more O.W.L.S and N.E.W.T.S than anyone else in her year. Growing up with her mother as an Auror, Emmeline knew the risks involved in taking on such a serious position at The Ministry of Magic and the painstaking effort of passing all the tests and training. Going back into school mode, Emmeline spent the majority of her evenings studying at home, surrounded by her notes and books working tirelessly into the night in order to succeed. Always top of the class alongside Hestia, Emmeline made an impression quite quickly in the Auror’s office that although she was a Vance, she had her own identity and had real potential to succeed. Facing the work head on, Emmeline was quick to offer hand to any more experienced Aurors who required any extra help, often battling it out with Amos and sometimes Hestia to be chosen to work on more difficult. Her quiet demeanor, of not speaking unless she thought she had something of interest to offer stood her in good stead with their line manager ALASTOR MOODY who selected her often to work on cases ahead of the rest of her class.
As such Emmeline has had more experience in the field than many young Aurors, assisting on arrests and working directly to Alastor Moody to bring in suspects for questioning and assisting in detective work that was beneficial to The Ministry. It was Moody’s preference for Emmeline that likely resulted in Amos Diggory biting his tongue and apologizing to her which although transparent, was greatly satisfying. Working closely with him had certainly sharpened Emmeline as an Auror, building her confidence and pushing her to be better at her job before she began growing suspicious of her teacher. When the disappearances started to pile up in London, Emmeline began asking necessary questions and finding odd clues at crime scenes that seemed unconnected until you looked closely. People from prominant families would go missing and those who turned up again seemed changed afterwards. At first she suspected it was perhaps a serial killer, but things didn’t add up wel enough for that to be viable. Outside of work Emmeline would interview people, follow persons of interest and ask questions, spending long evenings alone in her room trying to get a better angle that she felt fit.
On certain cases Emmeline would try and seek help from Alastor who she found would bat her away quite often when she finally thought she was getting somewhere. It wasn’t long before she heard a knock on her door and the familiar figure of PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE stood in her doorway and offered her the answers she was looking for. The disappearances had been tracked by her old headmaster for some time now and had been the work of a dastardly wizard. THE DARK LORD was thought to be an an ex-student of Dumbledore’s known now as Lord Voldermort and building an army to try and overthrow the wizarding world intent on spreading his message of poison. As Riddle’s army grew stronger Dumbledore began forging his own. The Order of The Phoenix was growing in numbers but Dumbledore had a special task for Emmeline. Along with Hestia- the two were to help train the younger members of the team in order to prepare them for what he feared would become an all out war. The current mentor of young witch LILY EVANS, Emmeline has been focusing on helping to train Lily and grow her already great skills and elevate her as a wicth. Emmeline enjoys training the younger members of the team and thrives in an enviroment where she can pass on her knowledge to other people.

BREAKING NEWS - PROMINENT PURE-BLOOD WITCH REPORTED MISSING AS YULE BALL COMES TO A CLOSE
3 January 1983
THE CRYSTAL PAVILION, WIZARDING LONDON - The Ministry have said they are “extremely concerned" over the disappearance of a twenty-six-year-old witch who vanished the evening of The Yule Ball almost two weeks ago. Rosalie Flint from Kintbury in Berkshire was last seen around 2300 GMT the evening of Friday 24th December, where she had been dancing with friends and family. An eye witness reported having seen Miss Flint removing herself for a break from the party with an unidentified man in the east wing of the venue but was not seen returning back to the party thereafter. Miss Flint who was expected back at her family home in the early hours of Saturday December 25th, was thought to have not returned home that evening. When her parents checked her bedroom the next morning at 0900 GMT and found their daughter was nowhere to be found she was reported missing to the Ministry. “She’s a good girl,” her mother Lotte Flint told The Daily Prophet through teary eyes. “Rosalie would never simply not return home. She’s not like that. Someone must have her and we will not rest until she’s back home safe with us.”
As the search continues for known werewolf Silas Crump, 38, Head of the Auror’s Office Alicia Avery-Jones warns for people to be on the look out for Miss Flint and Mr Crump who is wanted in connection with the murder of The Minister for Magic’s son Booker Bagnold. Mr Bagnold, also twenty-six, was sadly found dead at the Ministry last October during the All Hallows Eve Ball. Mrs Avery-Jones told The Daily Prophet, “We have reason to believe Mr Crump is targeting prominent members of the wizarding community as an attempt to get the attention of the Ministry for their mistreatment of werewolves. We hope that Mr Crump is not connected to the disappearance of Miss Flint who may have wandered off from the party intoxicated and is hopefully safe with friends,” Mrs Avery-Jones continued. “As Miss Flint has now been missing for 10 days we are concerned for her safety and ask the public to come forward with any information they have regarding her disappearance. She is of a slight build and around 5″6 in height, with long dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a long silver ballgown. Any information on the unidentified man would also be extremely helpful to our inquiry.”
The Ministry are reportedly working hard to find Miss Flint but are remaining tight lipped about the case otherwise. When asked if they were looking at anyone else aside from Mr Crump, including the Minister’s son Harrison Bagnold, 32, who has also not been seen since the night of the ball and Miss Flint’s brother Decius Flint, 30, who did not report his sister missing despite agreeing to travel home with her the evening of the ball, Mrs Avery-Jones declined to comment. With Wizarding London frightened a serial murderer may be at large targeting younger members of the community residing in the capital, many are asking who might be next and what the Ministry are doing to stop him as many lose faith in their ability to catch a killer who has terrorised London for over two months.

BREAKING NEWS - BLACK RELEASED AS MINISTRY ISSUE WARRANT FOR NEW ARREST IN BAGNOLD CASE
21 November 1982
THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC, WIZARDING LONDON - Another week of investigation has turned up new leads in the Booker Bagnold case, including a whole new murder suspect. Offically clasifying Mr Bagnold’s death as potential homicide, it seems the Ministry are scrambling to get someone in court for the slaying of the Minister’s son and are turning to anyone who fits their modus operandi. The Ministry’s statement, published this evening, confirmed that Mr Bagnold died in a werewolf attack on the night of his death, with both crime scene investigators within The Auror’s Office and medical experts at St Mungo’s confirming Mr Bagnold died due to extensive bloodloss as a reuslt of deep claw marks on his chest thought to have been caused by a werewolf.
The latest person the Ministry are looking at is thirty-eight year Silas Crump, a petty criminal and former barman act at Le Cirque Des Rêves. Our sources report that before the inquiriry into Mr Bagnold’s death, Mr Crump was not known to the Ministry as a werewolf, though he had been on the Ministry’s radar for petty crimes which had taken place in the late 1960s. According to our source inside the Ministry, Mr Crump was discovered as a werewolf after failing to collect a vile of wolfsbane from a potioneer who wishes to remain anonymous, placing him inside the Ministry at the time of Mr Bagnold’s death but his whereabouts inside the Ministry remain unknown. Mr Crump was one of two werewolves in attendance at the Halloween ball the night of the killing, though the second werewolf was accounted for and provided a substantial alibi according to our insider.
With a warrant now issued for Mr Crump’s arrest for the murder of Mr Bagnold’s, Bellatrix Black has now been released and will no longer be question further in relation to the crime with photographs taken by our press photographer Edward Tonks helping to exonerate Miss Black and causing further embarrassment for the Ministry as they try and figure out this case.

EDWARD TONKS is TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD and a PHOTOGRAPHER in INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING at THE DAILY PROPHET. He looks remarkably like TOM HOLLAND and considers himself NEUTRAL. He is currently OPEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
Edward Tonks lived a very normal life until he realised something wasn’t quite as it should be. Growing up in the sleepy seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire, Ted as he was better known as, spent his childhood down by the sea playing with friends, taking polaroid pictures that adorne his room and imagining his future as a very different from the one he was destined to have. His parents owned the most popular seafood restaurant in Whitby, known for their fish and chips in particular, people would file up and down the seafront in the hopes of getting a taste of the food being served at The Little Mermaid. The restaurant was a staple in Ted’s life, he loved just being there, colouring in at one of the tables as he watched the world go by in front of him or sitting in the kitchens watching his parents cook their famous food. Ted had always dreamed of owning the restaurant when he was old enough, his mind filled with amazing ideas as to how he would build on his parents legacy. Nothing tipped Ted’s parents off to the idea he was anything other than a regular little boy until he was around eight years old, then things would happen his family couldn’t quite explain.
A small argument about cleaning up his room after dinner would result in the fish raining from the ceiling when Ted was angry and alone in his bedroom, or a frustrating moment at school would send the water in his bottle shooting up into the air. Though some of these occasions happened in front of other people, Ted chose to believe he was not the overarching factor in these strange occurrences and tried to live his life as normal. On his eleventh birthday, Ted received his letter to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and everything began to make some semblance of sense. It was a difficult pill to swallow for Ted that he was a wizard or even that magic existed at all. His life had always been set to take a course he was prepared to be set on which his letter to study at a magical school completely threw out of the window. His parents were understandably worried, having not prepared him for a life beyond their sleepy seaside town but they understood this new path filled with danger and excitement was one they had to allow him to take. Trying their best to immerse themselves in this new world, they took Ted to Diagon Alley to collect his books, told all their friends he was attending boarding school in London and dropped him off at King’s Cross station.
The first week of school was a blur for Ted. Upon entering The Great Hall, Ted stared in amazement at the ceiling as he watched the candles dancing up and down in the air, a warm feeling in his stomach as he allowed himself the first time to believe in the magic he had coursing through him. Sitting under the sorting hat, Ted was more curious than he was nervous, listening to the booming voice in his ear deciding where he should be placed and considering if it meant anymore than when you were sorted into tables or teams at school. Hufflepuff was a funny word that didn’t mean a lot to Ted until FABIAN PREWETT explained it to him with a cheeky grin. Huflepuffs were known for kindness, loyalty, fairness and tolerance which Ted felt explained him quite well. Fabian and his twin brother GIDEON, became Ted’s first friends at school. Flame haired boys who enjoyed telling inappropriate jokes and throwing parties in the Hufflepuff common room, they took Ted under their wing in the wizarding world, explaining a lot to him whilst simultaneously badgering about his Muggle upbringing which both interested and confused them. Fabian was a little bit more on Ted’s wavelength than Gideon, Ted preferring to spend his evenings down by the greenhouses rather than in detention. A studious and well behaved boy, Ted was quickly separated out from his friendship group by older student AMELIA BONES, when Ted became a Prefect in his fifth year.
Amelia who was a year his senior quickly established a motherly sort of relationship with Ted, acting as his unofficial protector. Although a lot of his were Pure-Bloods, Ted soon learned there were people in the wizarding world that treated him with contempt due to his status as a Muggle-Born. Amelia tried to reassure him that the opinions of families like the Blacks and Malfoys were outdated and despite her pristine record, managed to get into a few courtyard duels over the mistreatment of Ted. Some names stuck in Ted’s head as bad ones. Black in particular was a name he’d been taught to avoid long before he’d even registered there was a girl in his class who shared the surname. ANDROMEDA BLACK was quiet. A prefect and a member of Slug Club, she kept herself to a small trio of Slytherin girls and rarely spoke without being spoken to first. Like most things in the wizarding world, Ted became curious about her and despite his better judgement and several warnings from Amelia decided to embark on a friendship with her. It was a few words here and there, casually bumping into her at parties or happening to see her in odd areas of the castle that formed the basis for their relationship, although it truly blossomed after Amelia had graduated. Ted was very fond of Andromeda and although he had meaningful relationships whilst they were at school she was always the constant in his life, though Andromeda was unaware of it.
Leaving school having made Head Boy in his final year and with a firm set of friends, Ted quickly moved to London and embarked on securing a job working for The Daily Prophet. Moving in with a few fellow aspiring journalists in Russell Square, Ted quickly befriended his landlord and fellow housemate DAISY HOOKUM, who he found lived mostly at the office rather than in her own home. His other roommate THEODORE STEBBINS was obsessed with gossip and worked with RITA SKEETER, often attempting to corner him in the hallway to ask if he’d heard anything juicy he wouldn’t mind passing his way which he always passed up on. BETTY BRAITHWATE was a little more easy going than the rest of their house, though she took her job just as seriously. The youngest reporter in Arts and Entertainment, Betty longed for a job in Ted’s department and to be taken more seriously as a journalist, though her connections amongst the young wizarding elite prevented her from being moved around. They were strange characters, but quickly became close friends of his, bound together due to their crazy work lives that prevented making too many friends outside their profession. Ted secured a photography internship at The Daily Prophet a few months after Hogwarts, feeling it was a good fit for him due to his passion for taking photos, though he still had later aspirations of taking over and expanding his family business.
The Prophet was a world entirely it’s own with vast departments, office politics and personal agendas that created their own little cliques which transcended any area you ended up working in. A talented boy who was quick on his feet, he quickly made an enemy of fellow photographer ADRIAN CAVERLY who was gunning for a job in Investigative Reporting before it was assigned to Ted which prompted a rivalry between the pair. Ted has been working alongside their senior reporter ELIAS SPENCER-MOON as his personal photographer for the past year. Working with Elias has been a huge step in Ted’s career, though it has come at the expense of his personal life to some degree due to the strange hours he works and the huge target which has been painted on his back as a result. Currently working a string of missing persons cases happening across London, including the infamous BOOKER BAGNOLD case. Despite being fond of Booker, the case has certainly put Ted on the map as a photojournalist and flagged to Elias he was more than a glorified assistant. As more people go missing, Elias has had Ted and his researcher EMMA SQUIGGLE working around the clock speaking to people of interest and trying to find an angle that connects the late Booker Bagnold with any of the other cases. With friends in high places at The Ministry, Ted is currently using all of his resources to help uncover the truth in spite of his safety and will stop at nothing to break the story and hopefully get a little bit closer to a certain member of the Black family who is running in similar circles.

DAISY HOOKUM is TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS OLD and a JUNIOR REPORTER in INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING at THE DAILY PROPHET. She looks remarkably like ELENOR TOMLINSON and considers herself NEUTRAL. She is currently OPEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
They say journalism will kill you but, but it will keep you alive while you’re at it. Daisy Hookum has spent many nights hunched over her coffee stained notebook to get to the bottom of a story but as soon as she sees her name in print all her struggle is more than worth it. A determined dreamer, Daisy has lived and breathed literature since she was a child consuming article upon article and creating living stories for her and her siblings to live inside. Daisy was born in the wizarding village of Ilkley and was surrounded by nature and beauty which would become the backdrop for all of her best tales. Despite her future career being grounded in reality, Daisy preferred to live her childhood in the fantastical. When her younger sibling POPPY lost their teeth, Daisy would encourage them to put it under their pillow and watched with delight as they awoke to a galleon and a mountain of glitter. Daisy wished on shooting stars, covered her room in fairy lights and scrawled her dreams down in a journal she kept close to her chest. Despite knowing through her father’s work the world could be a very dark place, Daisy always liked to believe the best in people and see the beauty in dreams, imagination and aspiration. She couldn’t remember the moment exactly she knew she wanted to become a journalist but something about the way her father spoke about his job at The Daily Prophet struck a chord with Daisy.
GEORGE HOOKUM lived a life of danger and intrigue, doing anything it took to get a story and share it with the world and despite her love of fables and fairytales it was the exact life she wanted for herself. When she was old enough to truly understand his work Daisy made a point of reading every single one of his pieces, cutting and pasting them into her inspiration journal and imagining what great stories she might uncover. Every day was one of intrigue, if PRIMROSE and Poppy were having an argument there she would be with her notebook and quill attempting to gather evidence she could write up for a piece. At times her fun and games irritated her siblings, Poppy more so than Primrose who Daisy knew put up with her a lot of the time due to her kind nature. Poppy on the other hand was not someone who enjoyed playing pretend and the siblings had their fair share of arguments over the years. The only member of her family that seemed to have any time for her in this regard was her cousin ARTHUR WEASLEY. The same age, Arthur was Daisy’s very first best friend. He had a fascination for Muggle things which had begun on a family outing to London and had captured imagination ever since. Daisy was the only person who understood his interest. Liking strange things or something she could investigate into, she shared his love of Muggle artefacts and the two enjoyed many play dates swapping Muggle books and reading Muggle magazines they had collected over the years.
The middle children in their family, Daisy and Arthur were two of the final children to attend Hogwarts and were sorted very predictably. The Weasley family often found themselves in Gryffindor, whilst Hookums had been in Ravenclaw for generations. A social butterfly Daisy belonged to various friendship groups, though unsurprising Daisy found her kind in Ravenclaw and quickly made friends with fellow budding journalists CAMILLE ROWLE, RITA SKEETER and BETTY BRAITHWAITE. Given her aspirations and individual nature, Daisy had never seen herself belonging to a popular group of girls and was quietly very excited to be close friends with such strong, fashionable and oftentimes descivive women. Camille and Rita in particular were sometimes dubbed as mean girls by their fellow students, known to quickly throw someone in front of the oncoming Knight Bus if it meant a good story for The Weekly Raven and weren’t frightened to upset people. Daisy liked to see that as a good quality in her two friends and liked they were both very determined, though other people did not see it that way. Daisy’s sibling Poppy in particular was not a fan of Daisy’s chosen group of friends. Camille in particular belonged to a notoriously purist family, whilst Rita had written a fair few pieces about Poppy’s antics at school which didn’t frame her favourably. Daisy and Poppy had been close growing up despite their differences but their time at school certainly put a strain on their relationship.
Daisy focused on her work at the school paper and making friends with people she thought would advance her career in journalism rather than take to the hallways and bully their estranged cousins ALECTO and AMYCUS CARROW as Poppy did. The subject of blood purity was of importance to Daisy, she sincerely believed in equal rights for everyone in the wizarding world but was ashamed to say that her dream to become a journalist was of greater importance to her. A Ministry owned paper, The Daily Prophet tended to screen our people who sided against the government and hadn’t been afraid to dismiss some of their best writers because of it. The day CHARITY BURBAGE was kicked out of the paper was a sad one for Daisy. Charity was someone she very much looked up to but her dismissal made Daisy retreat in on herself in regards to her opinions rather than energise her to fight back like Poppy. It was a change noted by a few of her other friends who were very vocal about equal rights in their community, including her very close friends LAUREL LINWOOD, TRYSTAN WARRINGTON, KEIRA GREY, CONSTANCE SONG and Arthur. A highly sociable witch, Daisy loved the party obsessed sorcerers who took downing shots and social justice very seriously, whom she also considered close friends but found herself drifting away from them as school drew to a close. Only MAFALDA HOPKIRK and NATAN DIGGORY seemed to understand her silence on the topic.
Daisy began to feel their group fracture and as they left school and began their lives in the real world. They began to go their separate ways to a degree, though they all remained friendly and Daisy continued to be close to Mafalda and Natan. Wanting a fresh start, Daisy took part of her inheritance out and bought a large house in wizarding London, aiming to fill it with people she hoped to meet at The Daily Prophet. When she arrived at the paper she began writing in The Arts and Entertainment department, which although she found fun rarely filled her soul with any joy. A fan of hard news, Daisy loved the idea of throwing herself into a story and letting it consume her despite the danger, an opportunity which was rarely afforded to people of her age. Although most stories were sugary profiles, speaking to TILDEN TOOTS was one of the highlights of Daisy’s career. Uncovering the truth about being a Muggle-Born in an unaccepting society and drawing attention to issues taking place in the Muggle world which mirrored a lot of the problems they faced in the wizarding world. For Daisy, Tilden’s story wasn’t simply a piece, it was a turning point which gave her the kick she needed to start perusing the stories she knew she would rather write. Quil in her hand and invisibility cloak stuffed in her bag, Daisy began to make contacts and stumbled on her big break when Camille invited her to the wedding of GENEVIEVE AVERY as her plus one.
Knowing it would be a good chance to get under the skin of the wizarding elite and attempt to uncover if any of the upper class were still harbouring ancient beliefs for an exposé she was planning, Daisy had agreed. The death of Genevive’s husband VICTOR WILKES had been a huge story that had fallen straight into Daisy’s lap and signalled her transfer to Investigative Reporting. Working under famed journalist ELIAS SPENCER-MOON and alongside her close friend and roommate EDWARD TONKS, Daisy has been on cloud nine ever since though the pressure has been well and truly on ever since.Currently, Daisy is working hard to come up with a new case for her unit to investigate, believing she may have found it in the form of a little club in Knockturn Alley. Fair Faribault’s is the worst kept secret in Wizarding London, but with creatures a hot topic at the moment Daisy believes there is a wider story than a vampire looking to make a little money. Desperate to get inside the agency, her only way of infiltrating the establishment long term is from an inside source which she believes she may have found in the form of a werewolf by the name of OLIVIA HAILSHAM who Daisy believes might crack with protection, enough incentive and money not to go blabbing. Only time will tell if her odd feeling will be fruitful or a bust but one thing Daisy knows for sure is all is not as it seems at Fair Faribault’s.
