Ben Grimm wakes in the middle of the night from not only the sound of the annoying yappy small dog, but also from feeling the force of gravity by the falling house. Since his family and friends are too busy trying to work out the impossible situation of the rapidly falling house, it's up to Ben Grimm and the yappy dog to work things out. After Ben Grimm manages to stop the falling house, he feels the whole environment changing around him. Then, it turns out that the falling house was actually an illusion conjured up by Miracle Man, the obscure supervillain. Miracle Man had used his mind-altering psionic attack to distract the Fantastic Four so that he could sneak in to steal stuff. Since Ben Grimm had woken up from the illusion, he gives Miracle Man a clobbering time.

Fantastic Four Volume 1 Issue 3
So my previous two posts where mainly about the introduction of Marvels first family the Fantastic Four. This is the third instalment of the Fantastic Four. We get a few cool updates in this issue like the introduction of the Fantasticar. As well as the debut of the Fantastic Fours Iconic suits. We also get a interesting look into the Fantastic Fours building of operations. Anyway let's begin with the story shall we.
This issue starts with the Fantastic Four watching a magic show, with the villain of the issue being the magician himself. This being the Miracle Man ( Joshua Ayers ). He challenges the Thing in a test of strength in which he ends up besting the Thing. Which upsets the Thing to where he begins to throw punches at the Miracle Man.
Miracle Man then decides that is time for him to begin his reign of terror on the public by giving life to a giant statue known as The Monster from Mars.
Around this time our fabulous foursome debut their new outfits. I'll be honest I'm not the biggest fan of them, they're essentially blue jumpsuits with a big four plastered in the center of them. Honestly I prefer the outfits that add white to the costume. Though I will say I like The Things costume with his helmet that he wears only briefly. I also enjoy that he just tears the shirt off and ends up in pants, although later it does become shorts. All in all I prefer the Things costume, and Johnny's costume, since he flames on you don't see it much.
The next new addition that we get is the Fantasticar. Which I really like this first design, though many viewers said it looked like a flying bathtub. I just really like it.
We also get a look at the Fantastic Fours secret headquarters. Boy do they have everything in it. I actually really like a lot of the attention to detail that the writers use to explain many things that I'm sure readers would have questions about. Also this building will later be known as the Baxter Building.
Anyway back to our story. The Fantastic Four set out to stop the Miracle Man. It mainly ends in a car chase where Mister Fantastic turns himself into a wheel, which I really find enjoyable. Once they catch him Reed states that the Miracle Man had no magic and was just a master at mass hypnotism, and illusions, though he learns this after realizing the Sue was hypnotized by the Miracle Man. So yet another villain is carted off to prison and our heroic team celebrates their third victory. Well until Johnny decides that he's splitting from the team, I guess that's a problem for the next issue. Also it is sad that the team has only lasted three issues before a member has decided to leave.
I don't mind this comic really it's decent, I wish the Miracle Man actually had magic. Though this was before Marvel decided to delve into the more magical aspect of their universe. I would give this issue probably a seven. Because I really do like that the team has finally gotten their super suits, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the design. I also really like the introduction of the Fantasticar, all hail the flying bathtub. I also enjoy the in depth look of the Baxter Building.
Alright now on to my rankings of our Main Characters and our Miraculous Antagonist. See what I did there.
Mister Fantastic, I've actually really enjoyed him in this issue, he was a very integral part on stopping the Miracle Man. I also really liked his ingenuity in turning himself into a tire so they could chase down their target. He also figures out the Miracle Man's actual abilities. So yeah I really like him in this one.
Sadly once again Sue doesn't do much. She does track the Miracle Man down, but then she is instantly captured and is turned into the damsel in distress. She also designs the teams first outfits. Ben's is my favorite but I dont think he was the biggest fan of his new uniform.
I didn't really like Johnny in this issue. He just comes off as a bratty awful teen, and he's really annoying. I get that him picking on the Thing all the time is one of his gimmicks, but it's already pretty old. He's just like that annoying sibling or cousin. Needless to say though he does serve an important part in stopping our villain.
Ah the Thing, still my absolute favorite, never change buddy. Every panel he is in I enjoy. I love his goofy helmet he wears for literally two panels, and that he doesn't like wearing his shirt. All winners for me. The Thing right now is my soul reason for reading these, Ben Grimm I love ya.
Boy do I really like this villain. He is the evil mustache twirling villain that has plagued many a 90s TV shows, and he predates them I love a visionary. I do really like how absurd this villain is, they could've made it easy and said, "oh yeah he really uses magic." No they took a risk they made him an illusionist and a master of hypnosis. He definitely takes my number one spot out of the villains we have met.
Alright that looks like that's it for this post, next time we'll see if Johnny will rejoin the Fantastic Four. Spoiler I think he will.

Prohibido olvidar a esta jueza que se llama María del Pilar Vázquez. Aquí tienen buenos datos de quien es verdaderamente esta jueza
Enfrentan denuncia radicadas por la Fiscalía de Mayagüez. La propiedad en controversia se encuentra en el área de La Parguera, en Lajas.
Seis personas enfrentarán cargos por diversos delitos luego que la jueza María del Pilar Vázquez Muñiz, del Tribunal de Mayagüez, encontrara causa para arresto por hechos que ocurrieron durante una manifestación, escenificada el pasado 9 de julio, en una propiedad de los suegros de la comisionada residente Jenniffer González, en el área de La Parguera, en Lajas.
El Departamento de Justicia detalló a El Nuevo Día que Vázquez Muñiz encontró causa ayer, jueves, contra Iona Fournier Gómez, Imalay Arroyo Surita, Pedro Amengual Gutiérrez, Juan Rodríguez González, Sheila Mejía Luciano y Francheska Vélez Ramírez.
La Fiscalía de Mayagüez radicó un total de 19 cargos contra los imputados. Fournier Gómez enfrenta denuncias de daño agravado (Artículo 199), empleo de violencia o intimidación contra la autoridad pública (Artículo 245), hacer justicia por sí mismo (Artículo 274) y por conspiración, amenazas o atentados contra funcionarios del sistema de justicia o sus familiares (Artículo 284), todas faltas al Código Penal.
Mientras, Arroyo Surita y Amengual Gutiérrez enfrentan cargos por los Artículos 245, 274 y 284 del Código Penal, al igual que una denuncia de portación y uso de un arma blanca (Artículo 6.06 de la Ley de Armas).
Entretanto, contra Vélez Ramírez pesan denuncias por los Artículos 245, 274 y 284 del Código Penal, mientras que Rodríguez González fue imputado de violar los artículos 199 y 274. Por último, Mejía Luciano fue imputada de violar los artículos 246 (resistencia u obstrucción a la autoridad pública) y el 274.
Vázquez Muñiz impuso fianza de $200,000 contra Fournier Gómez; $5,000 a Arroyo Surita tras solicitar una reconsideración; $100,000 a Amengual Gutiérrez; $50,000 a Rodríguez González y Mejía Luciano; y $75,000 a Vélez Ramírez.
La vista preliminar fue programada para el 3 de agosto, añadió Justicia.
Los presuntos delitos se remontan al 9 de julio de 2023, cuando ciudadanos acudieron a una manifestación que, según el Negociado de la Policía, fue liderada por el excandidato independiente a la gobernación y ambientalista Eliezer Molina Pérez. La Uniformada indicó, el día del incidente, que un agente recibió heridas en la cabeza tras ser golpeado con un objeto contundente lanzado intencionalmente.
Tanto Molina Pérez como los manifestantes argumentaron que esa zona es dominio público y, por tanto, no pueden alegar daños a propiedad privada. No obstante, Torres Torres afirmó que “independientemente que esté en bienes de dominio público, la propiedad es privada, entiéndase la estructura”.
La representación legal de los suegros de González aseguró, al día siguiente de la manifestación, que aguardaban por una denuncia formal por parte del Departamento de Recursos Naturales y Ambientales (DRNA), previo a contestar las imputaciones de la supuesta ilegalidad de la construcción de un “tablado y terraza” en la propiedad.
Un informe técnico del DRNA, que fue elaborado por el biólogo Joshua Morel Matos, destacó que la construcción de esa estructura aledaña a la propiedad dañó ilegalmente la flora de la reserva natural, localizada en la zona marítimo terrestre. El documento, al que El Nuevo Día tuvo acceso, precisa que Morel Matos acudió a la zona el 7 de junio junto al vigilante Juan C. Banchs Cedeño, en respuesta a una querella presentada previamente.
No obstante, de acuerdo con el abogado Miguel Torres Torres, en esa localidad no se llevó a cabo ninguna construcción y la casa fue comprada con esas estructuras, las cuales son de más de 30 años.

Este poema es algo independiente, sin embargo, está un poco trasformado a raíz de haber leído los poemas de Louise Gluck y, Joshua, déjame decir que tú eres todo aquello. Por qué dentro de la perfección del frío hay calidez, dentro lo nubloso del frío hay confort y dentro de lo tenue del frío va a resultar en brillo. Por más que hemos compartido, más que nada, una conversación en muro, eso no elimina la percepción que tengo de ti. Eres alguien maravilloso dentro de ciertas capas que parecen hielo, pero esas no duran porqué tu aprendes de que esa sensación va a pasar, y si no pasa, ¿realmente es eterno?
Tienes personas a tu alrededor que te aprecian/aman al igual que una calidez hecha para abrazar el hielo, entonces, jamás dudes que tu autenticidad va a “sobresalir con la necesidad de recurrir a cambiar”, sino todo lo contrario, solo se es evolucionar con las alegrías, con las penas, con las tristezas y con las distintas felicidades, para que tú, ahora que apagarás las velas de tus nuevos deseos, sepas qué eres más sabio que ayer y mejor persona para afrontar, guiar y apoyar a todos los que te amarán más, mañana.
El frío también es calor y, déjame decirlo de nuevo, Joshua, tú has aprendido ser lo mejor de esos dos significados.

Bayley instantly rolls to the outside, wanting none of Joshua Bishop right now. But she won’t be able to avoid him forever. Joshua gives her a few moments before he ducks outside of the ring, going after Bayley. She runs around the ring, even going under it, but Bishop doesn’t see as Rhea Ripley stands in his path. They go nose to nose before Bishop shoves Rhea, but Bayley gets him from behind with a chop block. Bayley taunts the fans, but Bishop catches him with a HARD knife edge chop, nearly caving in Bayley’s chest with one blow! Bayley covers up his chest, head shaking, shocked by the power behind that blow, and nearly crumbles. Bishop lights him up with several more chops before Bayley can even get one shot in, nailing Bishop with a stiff forearm smash, but Bishop lands a double axe handle to the spine. A kick is thrown and caught, Bayley tossing Bishop’s leg into the ring post, cracking it against the side of his knee!
Rhea grabs Bishop and rolls him back into the ring, Bayley rolling inside and locks in a kneebar on Bishop, trying to take his legs out from under him. Bishop struggles, but starts to move backwards, getting his feet under him, with Bayley all folded up. He grabs Bayley by the waist and deadlifts her out of the kneebar, and into a German suplex! She elbows the hell out of Bishop to avoid the suplex, and traps Bishop with a victory roll!
1….2… Kickout
Bishop out at two! The crafty Bayley pulling out all the stops tonight! Bishop gets up to a knee, only to be blasted by several forearm shots by Bayley, before Bayley spins for another Rolling Elbow, only to spin around and get BLASTED by a Pump Kick from Joshua Bishop! Bayley might have just gotten knocked out!
Bishop falls into the ropes and takes a few seconds to compose himself, as Bayley still hasn’t moved. Bishop goes over to retrieve Bayley, stomping on him as he does. Bishop forces Bayley into the corner, before nailing him with a back elbow, and then a stiff right, before Biel Throwing Bayley all the way across the ring! The air time Bayley got on that was astonishing! Bayley tries using the ropes to help himself up, but Bishop comes over and uses his knee to choke Bayley with the ropes. As Ayers pulls Bishop off, Bishop comes back over and catches Bayley with a boot to the gut, and then a knee lift to the gut as well, sending Bayley stumbling into an adjacent corner, just trying to get away from Josh Bishop’s onslaught. Bishop walks over and peppers Bayley with a right hand, and then a chop to the chest, but Bayley answers back with a forearm of his own! Bishop stumbles back but kicks Bayley back into the corner, before nailing Bayley with an elbow over the top of the neck, once again dropping Bayley!
Bayley is quick to sit up and respond with a shot to Bishop’s gut, but Bishop catches him with a boot to the face in response. Not to be deterred, Bayley catches him with another right hand. Bishop fires back with a right of his own. Bishop picks Bayley back up, walking around the ring with him, before throwing him all the way across the ring with a fallaway slam! Bayley lands hard! But Bayley is able to roll through, and lands a Superkick. She throws Bishop into the corner, Bayley stumbling back before she charges - only to get picked up by Bishop! Bayley practically runs into his arms, and Bishop delivers a MASSIVE Bayley Hole Slam! Bayley tries to roll to the outside, but Bishop is a man on a mission, and throws Bayley to the ropes, knocking her down with a Pump Kick!
Bayley’s dropped, and Bishop hits a second Pump Kick to put her all the way down. Bishop pounds his chest, telling the fans, “EXIT 187! NO SURVIVORS!”
Getting Bayley up, he wants the Bishop Bomb, but Bayley slides off! She ducks a third Pump Kick - and Bishop hits Jason Ayers instead! The referee goes down after that massive boot to the face, and he’s out! We have to get a new referee out here, Bishop leaning over Jason to check on him - when Bayley catches him with a low blow! Bishop drops to his knees as a new referee charges down to the ring, Bayley grabbing him by the hair, going for the Rose Plant - but Bishop is too strong. He picks Bayley up, right across his shoulders! “No, no, no, no,” Bayley mutters, punching Bishop, “Put me down!” Bishop charges, driving Bayley through the corner with a Death Valley Driver! He doesn’t give Bayley an inch this time, instantly picking him up, and delivering a Bishop Bomb! Bayley’s folded up, this one’s over!
1… 2… 3!

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
For the early days of Funkadelic's career the funk definitely took a backseat to the psychedelic. And while there are funky elements throughout Maggot Brain the real star is guitarist Eddie Hazel. I think Eddie Hazel is one of the best guitarists ever, his work in Funkadelic and his solo career is a blend of psychedelic, blues, hard rock, funk, and jazz and no one blends them all the way Hazel does. On the middle of the album Hazel plays fuzzy heavy riffs especially on You And Your Folks, Me And My Folks and Super Stupid. And on the ten minute opening and closing tracks he shows off his improv skill by playing delicate strings of jazzy riffs that create a beautiful stream of consciousness style solo. Obviously every single ayer on this album is a master at what they do but if its early Funkadelic, especially Maggot Brain and Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On, then Eddie Hazel is your god.
U2 - The Joshua Tree
This is an enjoyable album. The 135th best album ever? Oh my god no. U2 are factory default music. They are plain, unsalted potato chips. Bono is incredible at reaching into the void and pulling out the platonic ideal of banality. Like these guys can write decent music, but there is no soul. Inside those jangly chords and melodramatic vocals is just a bunch of guys who want to be famous and will do anything to get there except be sincere.
Fugees - The Score
In terms of rhyming, flow, storytelling capabilities, expansive vocabulary, beat crafting, and whatever else you want out of a hip hop record The Score is possibly the greatest record of all time. Wyclef Jean in charge of production and bringing a casual style of rap with heavy use of Haitian creole, Miss Lauryn Hill with a tough stacatto style while also bringing beautiful singing, and furtive Pras so easily forgotten. The mix of reggae and jazz into the hip hip beats made for some very unique flow and makes the group stand out on the basis of their instrumentals alone. But the rap skills of the rest of the group are completely insane and all three are ao perfectly in sync with each other. The lyrics are effortlessly cool and intelligent as fuck at the same time. There are absolutely no throw away tracks on here. Every single song could and should have been a smash hit single. And to be fair Ready Or Not and Fu-Gee-La did become huge hits and the transcendent cover of Roberta Flack's Killing Me Softly is one of the most evergreen songs in hip hop history. The Score has stood the test of time and become one of the most belived albums for a reason.
Joni Mitchell - Hejira
At this point in her career Joni Mitchell was an unparalleled genius at artistic expression. A little folksy and very jazzy, especially with the help of fretless bassist Jaco Pastorius, Mitchell is in the zone here. Every song developing its own complex series of characters and symbols. This is Joni Mitchell's most complete and cohesive work, although i personally have a slight preference for the less focused Hissing Of Summer Lawns.
Hank Williams - 40 Greatest Hits
What am i even supposed to say at this point? Sure I like Hank Williams but if you cant actually point to an album that is significant to call one of the 500 greatest then just choose aomething else. Hey there have only been three or four metal albums total and one electronic album so far. Why not choose some of that? Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Judas Priest, Converge, Rainbow, Entombed, Gojira, Sepultura, Devin Townsend, Voivod, Opeth, Between The Buried And Me? Theres a list of metal bands with top 500 tier albums. Andy Stott, Carl Craigg, 808 State, The KLF, Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, The Orb, Justice, Moodyman, The Field, Leftfield, Mr. Oizo. There I gave you some electronic artists too. This list sucks. Oh yeah and Hank Williams is like the father of country music and is really good and important or whatever.

Sufre Dorados segundo descalabro contra Toros

Los actuales monarcas desperdiciaron una ventaja de doble dígito en Torreón
Torreón, Coah.- Por primera ocasión desde las Finales 2021 el cuadro de Dorados de Chihuahua se colocó 0-2 en la serie por el campeonato de la Liga LBE Mexbet, tras caer 103-109 contra Toros Laguna en el Auditorio Municipal de Torreón.
Dorados desperdició una ventaja que alcanzó doble dígito, además el representativo lagunero limitó a 34 puntos a Chihuahua en la segunda mitad para alcanzar el segundo triunfo en casa y partir con ventaja a la capital.
La visita que tuvo cinco elementos con 10 o más tantos terminó sin encontrar el aro en los instantes finales del encuentro, mientras que Toros aprovechó los disparos de larga distancia por parte de Jerime Anderson, así como el aporte de Daniel Bejarano y el doble-doble de Joshua Ibarra para regresar en el partido.
La quinteta chihuahuense abrió el cotejo con un parcial a favor de 12-0 derivado de par de triples de Durrell Summers. Por su parte, Toros reaccionó con siete sin respuesta, hasta las canastas de Gary Ricks para volver a extender el liderato.
Dorados marcó cuatro triples en el primer periodo, cuando en el juego de ayer se fue sin aciertos desde el perímetro en la primera mitad. Después de 12 minutos, la visita pasó al frente 33-24.
El segundo capítulo se tornó ríspido y físico con par de ofensivas efectivas alcanzado las 36 unidades por quinteta. A su vez, cuatro jugadores de la escuadra dorada se fueron al descanso registrando doble dígito, en la ventaja 69-60 en el “AutiToro”.
Después del entretiempo, un arranque de 14-2 a favor del cuadro lagunero le dio la vuelta al marcador en el tercer cuarto con par de triples al hilo de Daniel Bejarano.
Los chihuahuenses respondieron en las manos de Marco Ramos, además de los disparos de Gary Ricks para retomar el comando del partido. A pesar de marcar sólo 18 puntos en el cuarto, Dorados se mantuvo al frente 87-81.
Instalados en el último periodo Toros Laguna logró emparejar las acciones tras los aciertos de Jerime Anderson, quien además otorgó la ventaja a los locales al concretar a la distancia.
En los instantes finales Gary Ricks conectó desde el perímetro colocando a Dorados a dos puntos, sin embargo el doble y la falta a favor de Joshua Ibarra volvió a extender a dos posesiones para los de casa.
Asimismo, en el momento crítico el triple de Anderson situó el duelo en la congeladora, terminando con las aspiraciones de Chihuahua por empatar la serie.
Toros se llevaría el partido 109-103 ante la algarabía de su público, adquiriendo ventaja 2-0 en las Finales de la Liga LBE Mexbet 2023.
Los laguneros limitaron a 34 unidades en la segunda mitad de Dorados, quienes se situaron abajo en una serie final desde la campaña burbuja 2021, cuando cayeron en los dos primeros encuentros ante Soles de Ojinaga.
Gary Ricks fue el mejor encestador por Chihuahua con 20 puntos, Chad Posthumus aportó doble-doble al registrar 18 tantos y 12 rebotes.
Jorge Gutiérrez terminó con 15 unidades, Durrell Summers con 12 dianas recuperando 8 tableros, Alejandro Villanueva sumó 10 puntos, Marco Ramos 9 y Jose Estrada anotó 8.
Por Toros Laguna, Daniel Bejarano finalizó con 25 tantos y 9 rebotes, Joshua Ibarra se fue con doble-doble en noche de 23 puntos con 16 tableros, Jerime Anderson fue clave al final del duelo acumulando 19 unidades, Gabriel Girón se fue con 15 dianas y Jorge Torres acumuló 12.
El tercer y cuarto partido se disputarán en el Gimnasio Manuel Bernardo Aguirre los días jueves 27 y sábado 29 de abril. En caso de extenderse la serie el quinto cotejo también se jugará en Chihuahua el domingo 30.
