Been watching videos about musicals and, well, horrible horrible inspiration struck
In reference to the many checkmarks gifted to @thebibliosphere and the chaos they have wrought
(Hopefully the bug of them engulfing posts can be fixed)

If Good Omens is making you want to read the Bible against your will/ better judgement might I recommend starting instead with the Biblical Musical Multiverse?
Jesus Christ Superstar holds up to this day as an absolute banger, and Godspell, Children of Eden, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are all amazing.
Also almost forgot Prince of Egypt which (much to my anger) never made it here to the states as a musical production!!!

While we're on the subject can we talk about the bisexual orgy scene in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999) and how watching it as a young child shaped me in ways I couldn't even comprehend yet?

My favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber character trope is Elvis inspired, slightly promiscuous, Cassanova; which song consists of his praises and the female ensemble swooning.

sometimes, when someone leaves a bad religious environment, there's an odd thing that happens when they interact with media from that religion. a tang of heartache, some bittersweet nostalgia, and a few other unidentifiable emotions.
all that to say, i think it would be fucking hilarious if Aziraphale's guilty pleasure musical was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Hey I did the broadway tier list and I’m afraid I’m gonna get crucified about the placement of Hamilton…
ALSO THE BLOODY LOGO COVERS SPRING AWAKENING WHICH IS SO GOOFY
(Also Matilda was lower but I thought since I was in a production of it I couldn’t give it musical hell)

I take singing lessons and I’m currently working on a song where I have to act really adoring/admiring of a character (it’s from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat) so I left myself this note:
The picture is a visual aid.

I'm watching Joseph for the first time in a couple years, and I'm so confused why the pharoh looks so familiar... he's the sexist football coach from she's the man 😭 that's way too big of a plot twist for 00:20 in the morning

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is like the panto of musical theatre, in that a huge part of the appeal of it comes from how much fun the entire cast is clearly having, deliberately hamming it up and chewing the scenery as much as humanly possible the entire time.
