Van Der Wulff - Homecoming Part 3
~
Tumblr media
Chaos reigned in the aftermath of the blood bath. At first no one moved until a mix of laughter and shouting filled the entire gymnasium. Taylor’s face was red from laughing and Draven noticed.
She should have kept her mouth closed. “What the fuck is so funny?” Draven asked.
“What?” Taylor chuckled. “Your cunt leader got what she deserved. Eye for an eye, butch! Bout time someone knocked her down!” Taylor snickered and clapped her hands for Camilas attention. “Help me off! I need to see her up close! I hope you got a picture of that-”
Tumblr media
Taylors head jerked back violently when Dravens fist collided with her cheek. “Jiwoo!” Draven called out to the girl behind her. “Get a picture of this! Blonde cunt with a bloody fucking nose!” Taylor screamed in pain. Cara who was not to far away lunged at Draven in defense of her leader. But it was Jiwoo that rammed her body into Cara to prevent her from knocking Draven off the stage. Instead both girls tumbled off. Pain shot through Jiwoos arm as she landed twisted on Cara who pushed her off forcefully and ran back towards Draven in the chaos.
~
Makayla was way too drunk for this. The entire room was spinning and the loud noises made her head pound even more then it already was. She spotted Beck and wished she could call her cousin to help bring her home, but not anymore. She couldn’t trust him. She looked around, startled when Duke popped up behind her, then she realized the heavy feeling in her shoulders where his hands. “Makayla,” his breath was hot in her ear, she shrugged him off. “Wanna get out of here.”
“Yeah.” she said lowly, her mouth dry. She needed to drink something, she looked over at a random table, drinks sloshing as people fought as Duke tried to lead her out of the building. She grabbed a drink from the table wincing as bitter liquid hit her throat. She spit it back in the club and was grateful as she was lead out of the gym and into the large field of the parking lot. The cool air felt great on her skin and her nausea felt more controlled now. She slurred and looked around her a place to sit but finding nothing leaned on the bricks of the staircase. “I’m just going to rest my eyes.”
Duke was giddy, he had seen video upon video about girls being easier to hookup with when drunk. He had spent the entire night watching Makayla suck down drink after drink, and he made sure her cup was never empty. In essence he was basically lubriacting her up for the night, now the only question was how this was going to play out? should they go to his house or her house? Should he offer her the Molly he bought with the guidance of Robert, who said girls panties basically drop when they get a taste of the pill.
His hands fumbled with the small dime bag Fezco gave to him and his eyes focused from the small pill to Makayla, looking like a goddess leaning on the brick wall, like a Picasso painting. “Ma- Makayla” he stumbled over his words excitedly like a child ready for an ice cream cone. “Do you want?” Her brown eyes opened slightly to look down at what he was holding. His entire body going giddy when she looked up at him, her attention fully on him. She hesitated and shook her head.
“No thank you.” her voice was bright and Duke felt his pants tighten. Of course she would say no, good girls like her didn’t do drugs. But he’d make her feel safe, he wouldn’t hurt her. He only wanted to pleasure her. He took a pill in between his chubby fingers and took her hand in his other one, placing the pill in her palm. He quickly swallowed the other one.
“I know its your first time.” he said getting closer to her. She looked down at the pill and him, her stomach doing flips. Rue had offered her a pill earlier in the night and she managed to say no. But her brain swirled around in her head and she was hot, why was Duke so close to her anyway? She attempted to push him away and the pill dropped from her hand. He laughed, his head leaning down toward her neck, what was happening? “It’s okay, I’ll be gentle.” His hands enclosed her as he pressed on the wall and started kissing her neck in sloppy wet kisses.
“No” she squeaked out attempting to push her away. Bile rose in her throat as she put her hands on his shoulder trying to get him off of her. “Get off.” her voice sounded far away, dry and quiet. Duke pressed himself harder into her, her entire neck felt wet.
“I’ll be gentle, Makayla.” He says nulling at her neck and biting a little too hard. She yelled out in pain and felt his hands now on her legs.
Tumblr media
“Get off!” Her voice sounded like a squeak on her throat. His hands felt like they were all over her and she tried to push him away again. He wouldn't budge, stead his hands slid upwards, tickling her ribs. She tried to shout and scream but instead felt the weight of him be thrown off of her. Another body slammed Duke into the heavy metal door. Makayla gasped in a breath looking at Duke who was now groaning in pain on the floor as the stranger kicked him in his stomach repeatedly. Makayla stood frozen, terrified, until the man turned and looked back at her. She stumbled back, her hands gripping the brick railing, trying to steady herself.
“Are you okay?” he asked and she looked at him wide eyed. It warmed his heart a bit. “Hey” he stepped towards her but when she stepped back he stopped and put his hands up. “I’m not here to hurt you, okay?” She nodded but still held the railing tightly. “Did that piece of shit hurt you?” She shook her head and glanced down to Duke on the floor.
“I’m going to sue-” he started and Rio kicked him hard in the face, knocking him out immediately as well as causing a burst of blood to spill from his nose. Makayla vomited.
~
Like a rag doll you quickly got lost in the discord. People taller and stronger than you accidentally or maybe purposely bumped into you as you tried to leave the stage and head toward where you saw Max take me. Someone punched someone else and that person banged into your, careening you into a table where you were hip checked on the seat. Pain ran down your entire leg and you cursed under your breath. Another person slammed into you and your struggled to keep standing, instead your heel gave out on your and you fell onto the floor, banging your head on the table. Attempting to blink the dizziness away, you heard someone shouting your name. That was until a pain on your foot brought your attention to someone stomping on your leg as they tried to fight someone else. You felt hands on your back, knocking you roughly back towards the table where the glass cups crashed onto the floor and you fell onto them. Tiny glass shards cutting into your exposed arms and shoulder. “SHIT!” You screamed in pain, the liquid liquor stinging your cuts.
Tumblr media
You heard shouts and grunts of pain seeing Yugyeom hit the ground in front of you knocked out and felt someone quickly yank you up and over his shoulder. It took you a moment before you realized they were Edward’s. You tried to wiggle out of his grasp defiantly but he held you tight. “Stop fighting me!” He growled at you. You pounded at his back before realizing he was punching his way through the crowd and getting you nearer to the exit. Until something hit him like a truck and you were thrown out of his arms and fell into another person.
It was Cassie and she quickly threw you off of her. “Get off of me!” She shouted and shot up. “Nate!” She screamed before disappearing somewhere into the crowd and you quickly stood up unable to see Edward anymore. You craned your neck to see Xavier or at least the exit but you were tiny compared to everyone else, and could only see shoulder, tuxes or dresses. You felt a hand tug on yours and quickly to see they belonged to Tatiana.
“Come on.” She led you forcefully through the crowd, holding your hand tightly while she called out to someone. That was until someone with long claws yanked you away- or at least tried.
You turned to see Emma with a handful of your dress in her long hands. Before you could say anything she yanked roughly, the strap of your dress breaking and falling on your chest. She yanked again instantly - the zipper breaking and your dress started to fall off your body. You quickly gathered the material as she shouted at you but you could barely hear her over the other shouting of the crowd.
Tumblr media
Her eyes grew wide as she looked behind you and she cowered in fear. “Xavier!” Tatiana shouted and turning around you saw Xavier holding up a metal chair from one of the tables. He was about to hit Emma, Tatianna flew in front of him and he threw the chair to the ground, seeing the damage done and violently shoving Emma to the ground.
Tumblr media
Max, Damien and Kitty managed to sneak me out of the locker room and back to Damien’s penthouse apartment. It took me two showers, 2 baths and 3 hours to get the blood off my skin. The bleached blonde dye I used in my hair specifically for the dance was now red and no matter how hard I scrubbed the lightest it got was pink. I was throughoutly humiliated. Damiens entire bathroom smelled like copper, soap and shampoo. My phone was blowing up with texts, calls and of course those assholes who posted it to YouTube and all the people laughing at my expense. By the time I was done in the bathroom my phone had so many notifications - it died.
I got dressed in one of Damiens old band tee shirts and didn’t even bother saying goodnight to the boys. I slunk into the guest room and tucked myself under the blankets. I just wanted to crawl into bed and never leave it.
But of course I couldn’t sleep, I just smelled blood. my mind kept cruelly replaying the scene over and over again. Haunted by the laughter, I stayed awake staring at the green numbers on the nearby alarm clock. It was 3:23 when Damien slipped in next to me. His voice was soft.
Tumblr media
“🍝You up?” I didn't say anything but I knew he knew I was up. “🍝Max left, I told him I’ll keep an eye on you.” I nodded looking at him. “🍝I’m sorry that happened to you.” I turned away from him. He wrapped his arms around me hesitantly at first until I relaxed into him. “🍝I’ll find out who did it, I promise.” He says moving a piece of hair from my face. “No one deserves that, Hurricane. Especially not you.” We laid there in silence, the minutes of the clock ticking by slowly until I felt myself drifting off. “🍝I love you.”
“Me too.”

Three weeks later, you could pretty much call yourself a member of a mafia gang. Well, that's what you were now even if you were in slight denial.
You spent a lot of time with Ateez. Hongjoong taught you how to shoot like a pro, Jongho taught you how to defend yourself if you don't have a weapon, and Yeosang and Seonghwa taught you medical related stuff such as removing a bullet from a body and treating a gunshot wound. Yeosang also taught you the basics of hacking, but you sucked at it. San, Wooyoung, and Aeji taught you how to seduce a target, and you nearly died of embarrassment when you had to practice with Wooyoung as the target. Jiwoo pretty much gave you some of her bubbliness while she and Yeoreum taught you a bit about illegal international business deals. The three girls also told you a hell lot about their sex lives when you all had a girls' night a few days ago. On the other hand, Yunho and Mingi were just playing 'tossing Kiah' (as they call it), which was literally just them throwing and catching you like as if you were a ball. The giants found it extremely fascinating that you were an entire foot shorter than them. Sometimes, they would use the top of your head as an armrest.
Hongjoong bought you a phone, but unfortunately, you couldn't log into any of your social media accounts, or even your email as your cousin and uncle were searching for you and the culprits who made your cousin unconscious the night he was going to sell you.
"Kiah, do want some orange juice?" Mingi asked you from the kitchen while he poured himself a glass. You nod your head and he poured some for you too. Yeosang was there as well, busy eating fried chicken.
"Hey, Kiah?" Mingi called out, making you look up at him. "You never really told us about your parents." He handed you your juice.
"My mother died when I was a newborn," you replied, sipping on your juice. "My father... well, I rarely saw him after he made me live with my uncle. Now no one has seen him in months." Both the boys noticed how sad you were when you spoke about your father. You really wanted to see him; you didn't even know whether he was dead or alive.
"What's your father's name and age?" Yeosang questioned. "I could track him or at least find out if he's all right."
"Moon Dongwoo and he's 49 years old," you answered with a small smile. "Thank you, Yeosang."
~
After about three hours, Yeosang approached you while you were talking to Aeji and some of the boys. He sat on the couch adjacent to you after briefly greeting everyone.
"So I tried to track your father, Kiah," Yeosang stated nonchalantly. "And I found absolutely nothing."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"There are zero records of him," Yeosang explained, "Like no bank or property details… To put it in simple words, it's like as if he doesn't exist."
You frowned. "So he's… d-dead?"
"Don't know," Yeosang shrugged. "There are no death records either. There were a couple of men with the same name as him, but no one was 49 years old."
You pondered about it for a while. Why would your dad erase all traces of his existence? Even if he didn't, someone else did. But why?
"Wait," you blurted out. "Did you check with the police station? My dad is a cop."
San, who was listening to the conversation, nearly chokes on the sprite that he was drinking. "Your dad is a cop and you're here, living in a mafia gang's house?!"
"I know right?!" Yunho said from beside him and you only shrug in response.
"I checked the police station as well," Yeosang remarked. "Still no records."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "That's just strange. He's a cop, there has to be at least something about him at the police station."
"Hey, don't worry about it, Kiah," Yeosang said in a soft tone, giving you a reassuring smile. "We'll find him."
-
The next day after you woke up, you found everyone seated in the living room, lost in deep thought. You quietly sat beside Jiwoo, wondering whether you should ask why everyone is so quiet.
"That's not a bad idea, actually," Wooyoung said after glancing at you while you stared at him in confusion. What idea was he talking about?
"Yeah, it's a terrible idea," Hongjoong retorted, glancing at you as well.
"Kiah," Mingi starts, grabbing your attention. "What do you think about attending a masquerade party?"
"You mean a mafia masquerade party?" you emphasized.
"Of course," he replied.
"Ah, it's cool, I guess?" you said nonchalantly; you were getting used to the mafia life, and you'd be lying if you said that you didn't like it.
"It's settled then," San stated, getting up from the couch and stretching his arms. "Kiah is Hongjoong's date for the party."
"Knew it," Jongho murmured.
"No," Hongjoong protested. "A lot of people saw her face at the auction. It's a terrible idea."
"Well, it's a masquerade party hosted by our ally," Seonghwa remarked. "No one will try shit even if they recognize her."
"Plus, we're all going to be there. We can't leave Kiah alone here," Yeoreum added and Jiwoo nodded her head in agreement.
Hongjoong sighed. "Fine."
~
"You look gorgeous, Kiah!" Aeji squealed after doing your makeup. Yeoreum just finished doing Jiwoo's hair and started doing your hair.
"Hongjoong won't be able to keep his hands to himself," Yeoreum remarked with a smirk, making you blush.
"I'm surprised he hasn't made a move yet," Aeji said.
"We all know he wants to," Jiwoo mumbled while taking a mirror selfie.
You chuckled. "Nothing has happened yet."
"Yet?" Yeoreum teased you, curling a strand of your hair with the curling iron. "So you want something to happen, huh?"
“I—”
"You obviously do."
You playfully rolled your eyes at her. "Don't accidentally burn my hair, Yeoreum!" The girls laughed at the sight of you getting flustered
"Kiah, what are you planning on wearing?" Aeji asked.
"The black cocktail dress."
"No, you're not wearing that," she protests. "Wear the red dress Jiwoo got you last week."
You raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
"You'll see," she smirked.
~
After all of you got ready and slipped into your respective outfits, you went downstairs where the boys were waiting.
As soon as Hongjoong saw you, his lips parted slightly as he scanned you from head to toe. You were wearing a short, strapless red dress that fit your body perfectly, hugging your curves and exposing your highlighted collarbones. You wore silver wedges that matched the silver necklace around your neck. Your long hair was curled and your makeup was simple yet elegant.
"Hongjoong's favorite color is red, by the way. Thank me later," Aeji whispered to you, giving you a wink before she ran into Seonghwa's arms. So that's why she forced you to wear a red dress. You snorted at Aeji's words before your eyes landed on Hongjoong. He looked absolutely ethereal in his black ripped jeans and white t-shirt underneath the leather jacket he was wearing. You expected to see the guys in suits, considering it was a masquerade event, but it looked like you all were going to a club instead. Oh well, maybe this is how the mafia rolls.
You heard someone clear their throat. "Um, if you're both done eye-fucking each other, can we leave? We're getting late," San commented and Jiwoo laughed loudly at her boyfriend's words. The other eight already left and you wondered how you didn't even notice.
Hongjoong doesn't utter a word; he only approaches you and takes your hand in his, leading you to the garage. You, Hongjoong, Jiwoo, and San were riding in the same car.
San begun driving and the car was filled with Jiwoo gushing about how she loved going for Stray Kids' parties. San told you about how Wooyoung introduced Ateez to his friend, Changbin, and that's how Ateez met the rest of Stray Kids.
After a while, you reached Stray Kids' mansion. The exterior was lit up with blue and yellow lights.
Jiwoo handed you a pretty silver eye-mask and you put it on; Hongjoong wore a red mask, Jiwoo wore black, and San wore gold.
"Alright, let's party!" Jiwoo squealed, pulling San along with her, practically running inside.
Hongjoong wrapped an arm around your waist as he led you inside Stray Kids' mansion, scanning the crowd to see if he could find any of his allies.
"Ah, Hongjoong!" you heard someone say, catching your attention. Hongjoong's arm leaves your waist to hug that person.
"Chan! It's been so long, yeah?"
"Very," he agreed before glancing at you. "I see you've got yourself a girl."
Hongjoong chuckled. "This is Moon Kiah. Kiah, this is Bang Chan, the leader of Stray Kids." Chan stretched his hand out and you shake it.
While Hongjoong spoke to Chan, Jiwoo dragged you away to get a drink. You wondered how hyper she would be when drunk, considering the fact that she was already pretty hyper when sober.
Jiwoo got a couple of tequila shots and you only downed three.  "Only three?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," you answered with a small giggle. "I have very bad alcohol tolerance."
Jiwoo took her own shots before Wooyoung dragged the two of you to introduce you to the other members of Stray Kids. You were seriously shocked by how young and polite these men were, despite being in the mafia.
"So whose girl is she gonna be now?" Changbin asked.
"She's Hongjoong's girl," Wooyoung answered, and you giggle at that, already a little drunk.
"Mhmm, yeah, I'm Hongjoong's girl, hi!" you squealed before realizing that Jiwoo suddenly wasn't there anymore. "Where's Jiwoo?" you pouted
"Probably would've found someone to talk to or she's in some room with San," Wooyoung replied. "Anyway, let's get you to Hongjoong, little one."
"I'm here," you heard a familiar voice say behind you, making you jump a little before you turned around. "Kim Hongjoong, you…” you trailed off, admiring his face even though half of it was covered with the mask. "You're so fucking hot, like what the actual fuck?!"  Wooyoung and Changbin laughed loudly before they walked away, leaving you alone with a slightly stunned Hongjoong.
"How much did you drink, hmm?" Hongjoong asked, looking down at you with soft eyes. You gave him a loving smile while your arms moved to wrap around his neck.
"Three tequila," you mumbled before you suddenly squealed. The DJ started playing one of your favorite songs. "Dance with me," you whispered in Hongjoong's ear, pulling his body closer to yours.
Hongjoong danced with you for a little while, holding you close to his body so that you wouldn't trip and fall in your 5-inch heels. After the song ended, he pulled you to a less crowded area to sit on the sofas. Your heartbeat sped up when Hongjoong made you sit on his lap instead of the free space beside him. You wrapped an arm around his neck while your other hand ran through his soft hair.
"What's wrong with that guy?" you whispered in Hongjoong's ear, glancing at a green-masked guy who was sitting near you, all alone on the floor, staring at the ceiling with a huge smile.
"Probably took LSD," Hongjoong remarked after taking a quick glance at the man.
"Oh," you murmured. "He's a really bad boy. You shouldn't take drugs. Okay, pretty boy?" Hongjoong raised an eyebrow, amused by the tipsy side of you. He chuckled prettily in your ear, pulling you even closer to him.
"I don't do drugs, love." He places his cold hand on the skin right above your knee. "I'm a good boy," he whispered in a low tone. Hongjoong could clearly see how much he affected you.
"Liar," you whispered in his ear. You place a kiss right below his ear before trailing kisses along his jawline. You stopped at his chin and pulled away. When his eyes met yours, you leaned in, finally pressing your lips against his. He responded immediately, kissing you back like as if there was no tomorrow. You've never been kissed with such intensity before.  Hongjoong's hand that was just above your knee, began to move upwards. You weren't drunk, just tipsy, so you knew what was happening; you were starting to feel really excited as his hand went higher and higher.
You heard someone clear their throat. "Kim Hongjoong?"
Hongjoong halted his actions and pulled away from you to look up at the woman who interrupted him. She had orange colored hair and was wearing a dark blue eye mask.
"Oh? Royeon?" he got up from his seat, making you stand up along with him. He sounded a little excited, and that made you feel a little jealous. Who was she?
Royeon smirked. "New girl, huh?"
Hongjoong ignored her comment. "Kiah, this is my friend, Royeon."
She snorted. "Friend? I'm quite offended by that title, Joongie." she pouts a little before turning to you. "I'm his first love."
You kept a pokerface on. "That's nice. It’s a pleasure to meet you," you said nonchalantly, trying not to sound bothered about the fact that Hongjoong's first love was standing right in front of your face. She was giving you a bad vibe and you absolutely hated how she was undressing Hongjoong with her eyes. You couldn't deny that you had strong feelings for Kim Hongjoong and you were planning on telling him pretty soon.
You turned to Hongjoong with a small smile on your face. "I'm gonna go get a drink," you said, purposely giving him a kiss that lasted a little longer than it should before you left him alone with his previous lover.
You didn't get a drink. Instead, you went outside, exploring the lit up garden in Stray Kids' mansion. The mansion was a little smaller than Ateez's mansion, but was extremely beautiful nonetheless.
You walked to one of the trees that was lit up with blue lights, taking out your phone to take a few pictures of yourself.
"So Yang Daeyoung hasn't been spotted anywhere?" you heard someone say.
"No," another person replied. "He probably escaped to another country or died.”
"What about his child?" the first person asked.
"No one knows what he or she looks like. Anyway, we have to find Yang Daeyoung and his child before another gang does. I heard many gangs are still searching for him… especially Ateez and CIX. We need to get all that information before them."
You were suddenly really interested in whatever the two people were talking about. You mentally reminded yourself to ask one of the Ateez members about this Yang Daeyoung guy later.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing all alone here?" you heard someone say behind you, words slurred.
You turned to face the man who was in a green eye-mask. "Taking pictures as you can clearly see," you answered the clearly drunk man.
He smirked. "I'm Jinseop," he introduced. "And your attitude is really fucking turning me on, babygirl."
"I didn't ask," you stated, rolling your eyes.
He took a step towards you and you didn't move an inch. "You know," he starts, placing a hand on your shoulder while he towered over you. "I heard Stray Kids have a few spare rooms here. How about we go upstairs and—"
"Get your fucking hands off her."
Jinseop rolled his eyes, not even glancing at the person.
"Now," the person growled. He froze when he finally realized who was talking to him.
"O-Oh, I'm sorry," he apologized and quickly walked away, leaving you quite stunned.
"Wow, Kim Hongjoong," you remark in amusement after a few seconds. "You scared someone."
Hongjoong doesn't say anything. He only walked towards you, and you involuntarily took a step back, making your back press against the cold surface of a wall. Hongjoong towered over your short height and you could tell he loved how small you looked next to him.
He cupped your cheek with one hand and places his lips against yours, gently kissing you before trailing kisses down to your neck. Your hands immediately went up to grab his hair while he started to suck and kiss the skin of your neck, making you moan softly. He smirked against your skin, absolutely loving how he was the one who was making you feel good. He brought his lips back to yours, kissing you a little harder than before while his hands moved down to your ass, grabbing it through the fabric of your dress. You gasped at his actions and he takes that opportunity to slide his tongue in your mouth. He pulled away after a few seconds.
"You're all mine, Moon Kiah."
-
Hongjoong led you back inside and you immediately spot his ex-girlfriend who was trying to hit on an unbothered Yunho.
"Yunho," Hongjoong called out and the man looked at him. Royeon's attention was also now on the two of you. "Where are the rest? We have to leave soon."
"I have no clue," Yunho answered.  "Yeoreum just took Mingi to the bathroom. The man drank way too much."
You noticed Royeon glaring at you, her eyes flickering between your neck and Hongjoong's messed up hair; you realized that he probably left a nice mark on your neck. You smirked, loving her annoyed reaction. You wrapped your arms around Hongjoong's waist and he smiled at you, draping an arm around your shoulders. Yunho controlled the urge to laugh once he realized what you just did.
Royeon cleared her throat. "So Hongjoong, did you get any news on Yang Daeyoung?" You felt Hongjoong stiffen a little.
"No," Hongjoong simply replied.
She chuckled. "Oh well. That must really suck for you since all... that happened, huh?" You could tell Hongjoong was going to lose his temper. You were extremely curious about this person, considering the fact that you've heard about him twice in less than an hour. "I bet you're dying to capture him. You would've planned so much to—"
"That's none of your business, Royeon," Yunho stated in a cold tone, cutting her off.
She raised her hands up defensively. "What I'm trying to say is I'd like to help."
"We don't need your help," Hongjoong spat through gritted teeth and Royeon was taken aback. You wondered why she looked shocked; was Hongjoong a complete sweetheart to her or something when they were together?
She cleared her throat, clearly offended. "Alright… come over to my place whenever you want me, Hongjoong," she said with a smirk before she walked away. You scoffed at her words and tightened your hold around Hongjoong who was quite amused by your reaction.
He put a finger under your chin to make you look up at him. "Maybe I should take up her offer, hmm?"
You scowled. "Don't even think about it, Kim Hongjoong. You're mine."
"Say that again, baby."
"You're mine."
Hongjoong crashed his lips onto yours and you kiss him back immediately, loving the feeling of his soft lips moving with yours.
"Oh, they're finally doing something," you heard Jongho say.
"Yeah, I was so tired of hearing Hongjoong whine everyday about how badly he wanted to kiss her," Seonghwa remarked, and you smile against Hongjoong's lips. You pulled away from the kiss, smiling widely at a blushing Hongjoong.
You turned your head to look at Seonghwa. "He was whining about that?" you asked in amusement.
"Oh, yeah, all the time," he answered with a chuckle.
A drunk Wooyoung laughed loudly. "That's not all! Hyung was also complaining about how Hongjoong junior was aching for—" Hongjoong smacked his palm over Wooyoung's mouth, stopping him from exposing him.
"Hey, let him complete," you stated, amused by the whole situation. Hongjoong shook his head in disagreement.
"We have to leave," Hongjoong changed the topic. "Yunho, go get Mingi and Yeoreum. Seonghwa, call San and Yeosang."
"Yeosang's getting some upstairs after so long," Yunho revealed. "He'll be shit pissed if you guys interrupt him."
Wooyoung chuckled. "After so long? He got pussy last week! And he's with the same blonde chick upstairs."
"No wonder he was the most excited to come here," Jongho mumbled.
Hongjoong rolled his eyes. "Well, I want to leave now. Anyone else wants to come?"
"Hyung, you and Aeji can go," Yunho said to Seonghwa. "Aeji's really tired. I'll come with the rest."
Seonghwa nodded and the four of you leave first, walking to one of three cars. Seonghwa had to drive after losing a game of rock-paper-scissors to Hongjoong.
After he began driving, you wanted to ask who this Yang Daeyoung guy was, but you thought now didn't seem like an appropriate time; you didn't want to interrupt the peaceful silence in the car.
You were feeling quite drained out, so you rested your head on Hongjoong's shoulder, trying your best to not fall asleep.
“Sleep, Kiah,” he mumbled, bringing your body closer to his. “I’ll wake you up when we reach,” he said, although he had no plans of doing that.
“Okay…” you closed your eyes, sleep taking over your body within a few minutes.
Hongjoong placed a soft kiss on your head. “I love you…”
Tumblr media
5 months later.
As soon as Hongjoong came back home from his mission and stepped into your bedroom, you ran into his arms. “I missed you so much!” you mumbled against your boyfriend’s chest while he embraced you.
You started dating Hongjoong around three months ago when he finally got the courage to confess that he fell in love with you. To his relief, you were just as head over heels in love with him. The boys sometimes refer to you as ‘the one who tamed his temper’ as Hongjoong didn’t get annoyed very often anymore. You had also grown used to the mafia life, and you often found yourself enjoying it more than you should. You knew almost everything about the boys and the world you were now a part of. They even let you go on missions, sometimes letting you go solo. Hongjoong was always a little hesitant as he was scared something would happen to you, but he was getting used to it.
“I was only gone for a week, love,” Hongjoong chuckled and you sighed.
“It felt like years.” You pulled away from his chest to look at him. You pecked his lips before moving to sit on your bed, your boyfriend mirroring your actions.
“I got you a lot of chocolates,” he said, reaching out to grab your hand, intertwining it with his own. “I’ve kept them in the fridge.”
You smiled, lying down while you played with Hongjoong’s hand. “It’ll get over in two days,” you stated, knowing the boys would finish it before you could even grab a piece.
“Then I’ll go back and get you more.”
“I’d rather you stay here with me,” you mumbled, arms reaching out to hug your boyfriend. Hongjoong settled in your embrace, burying his face in the crook of your neck. Your hand moved to his hair, playing with his strands. Hongjoong couldn’t help but place a kiss on your sensitive neck, causing a chill to run down your spine. He began placing more kisses on your neck, smirking when he felt you grab a fistful of his hair. He trailed kisses from your neck to your jaw and finally to your lips.
“I love you,” he murmured, moving to hover above you. Cupping your cheek, Hongjoong gazed at you with nothing but love and adoration, making your heart race.
You grinned at his words, wrapping your arms around his neck. “I love you too.” You pulled him into a kiss which he eagerly responded to. Lips moving with yours, Hongjoong took your bottom lip between his teeth, gently sucking on it before licking your lip as a way of asking for permission. You parted your lips wider, letting him slide his tongue inside your mouth. Your tongues danced in a slow rhythm while Hongjoong rolled his hips against yours, making you moan. You gently pushed him away, making him look at you with a worried gaze, thinking he went too far. But you pushed him further, making him lie down on his back before you straddled his hips. Your hands pulled your t-shirt over your head, tossing it onto the floor. Hongjoong’s eyes moved to your bra clad chest. You reached behind your back to unclasp your bra, letting it fall from your chest.
“Can I touch you?” he asked. You took his hands, placing them on your chest in response. Hongjoong gently squeezed your boobs, thumbs running over your hardened nipples. He sat up a little so that his face could reach your chest. He placed kisses on your sternum before taking one of your nipples in his mouth, gently sucking on it, licking the small bud. He mirrored his actions for your other nipple, and your back arched in pleasure. When he pulled away, you immediately crashed your lips onto his in a hungry kiss. You involuntarily grinded down on his hard-on, a groan leaving his throat. Hongjoong’s hands moved to your hips, helping you move faster on his bulge.
“I want you, Joong,” you moaned out, making him get harder.
“Are you sure, baby?” he asked.
“Yeah. I want you to fuck me. Please,” you begged. You weren’t a virgin, but this was going to be your first time with Hongjoong.
He only smiled, halting your movements on his bulge. “Let me prep you, baby. Sit on my face.” You got off his lap to take your jeans off along with your panties. Hongjoong also stripped out his clothes, leaving himself bare in front of you for the first time. You involuntarily bit your lip, taking in the sight of his thick, hard cock. He looked absolutely irresistible.
Hongjoong climbed back onto the bed, lying down while he waited for you to straddle his face.
“Are you sure about this?” you asked, a little hesitant to put your weight on his face.
“Don’t worry, baby,” he chuckled. “Sit comfortably.”
You lowered yourself onto his face, making sure you didn’t put all of your weight on him. Hongjoong's hands gripped your ass, pulling you closer to his mouth. He wasted no time in lapping at your slit, collecting your wetness on his tongue. He moaned at your sweet taste, tongue dipping into your hole, his nose pressing onto your clit. He moved his mouth to latch onto your clit, giving your nub a few sucks before moving back to your hole. “Fuck!” you moaned, hands reaching down to grasp his hair while he fucked you with his tongue. You felt the familiar knot forming and you warned Hongjoong that you were close. He licked up and down your slit, lapping at your clit, pushing you to your high. You moaned out his name while you came on his face and he wasted no time in licking up your juices, a drop rolling down from his lips. When you moved your pussy away from his face, you got wetter at the sight of his lips glistening with your juices.
You moved down his body to return the favor, but he stopped you. “I’ll let you do that another time, babe. But now I really need to be inside of you.” Hongjoong sat up, piling pillows behind him before leaning back on it. “Are you on the pill?” he asked while pumping his cock.
“No…”
He groaned. “I don’t have condoms on me right now. They’re in my room.”
“It’s okay, you can just pull out,” you stated.
“Are you sure, my love?”
“Mhmm.” You moved to straddle his lap, aligning his cock with your entrance. You sank down on his length, the stretch making you whimper. Once Hongjoong was fully inside of you, you placed your hands on his abs, slowly moving yourself up and down on his cock, coating it with your arousal. Hongjoong bucked his hips up to meet yours half-way. You leaned down to kiss him while you rolled your hips against his. You pulled away and smiled at him before you increased the pace. Your hands reached back to grab his thighs while you rode him. Hongjoong watched your boobs bounce along with you, the sight making him groan. When Hongjoong felt himself getting close, he switched positions, slipping out of you, making you whine. He only giggled, leaning down to peck your lips before he gripped your waist. Without any warning, he slammed his cock into you, making you gasp, your walls clenching violently around him while he fucked you hard and raw.
You gripped the bedsheets beneath you, feeling the knot forming in your lower area. “J-Joong… I—”
“I know, baby, I’m close too,” he groaned out, his thrusts getting sloppy. “You’re taking me so well, fuck.”
Hongjoong moved one hand down to your clit, his fingers rubbing your nub in circular motions. You screamed his name when your second orgasm washed over you. Hongjoong pulled out immediately, spilling onto your stomach. You reached out to pump his cock, milking him dry. Hongjoong collapsed beside you, body coated in a thin layer of sweat, hair sticking to his forehead. He pulled you into a sweet kiss a few seconds later.
“That was amazing,” he murmured against your lips. You smiled, placing a soft kiss on the tip of his nose. “Let’s clean up, hmm? Shower with me?” You nodded, letting him carry you to the bathroom.

As promised here is the first chapter of my fan fiction 💜
Tumblr media
1. One Fateful Meeting
'why did it take you so long to pick up Mei-ah'
I laughed at the pouting face of my best friend Jiwoo as she artlessly sat down on the seat in front of me looking as gorgeous as ever in her off white lacy dress that she paired off with open toed sandals and a black jacket. Her cheeks were pink from the cold and she smiled at me graciously as I pushed the warm cup of caramel latte towards her.
'mian Jiwoo-ah I had to rush a couple of things at the office but I'm here now.'
I said as I took a sip of my hot tea grateful to be inside this cafe while looking at the soft pitter patter of raindrops on the window. It gave me peace amidst my ever busy life in Seoul.
'have you heard?' she asked as she tapped my hand on the table and pointed at my open macbook.
'my laptop? what about it?'
'for someone who graduated with honors in 4 courses way back in college how can you be such a pabo sometimes?'
I smiled and shrugged my shoulders at her 'I have no clue...soo spit it out Jiwoo-ah and no I am not dating your dongsaeng or any of your friends...please.'
She pouted while shaking her head 'why not?? it's been so long since you dated someone...who was he again?'
I flinched at the reminder of that awful date and shook my head as I motioned for her to continue with her news and what made her point at my laptop.
I was currently checking the website I was working on as much as my eyes were wanting to rest from reading codes after codes that I dealt with in the office earlier.
'I have awesome news from your imaginary boyfriend...' she said with a smile 'open google please and type his name.'
'imaginary boyfriend my ass' I mumbled knowing that I was blushing like mad at that moment. 'what about Satoh-san?'
She grinned at me while typing something on my laptop. She frowned a bit as she saw that I was working and smiled again as she found what she was looking for looking obviously pleased with herself...should I tell her that she looks a bit like a Cheshire Cat?
'clear your schedule this Friday until Sunday...you my gorgeous chingu will be modeling for my clothing brand with Takeru Satoh.'
'oh sure...'
I nodded clearly not believing a word she said for how can she and the management secure a modeling contract with the ever busy Takeru Satoh.
'no shit Jiwoo!!!' I said as I sucked my breath at what I was reading 'how the hell did Yuna and Georgie manage to snag this?!!'
I wanted to scream for joy but since we were inside a cafe all I managed to do was grasp for my bestfriend's hand in support.
Indeed the management and Jiwoo finally snagged a contract with the Takeru Satoh, the famous Japanese star.  My mind was reeling with questions as I was reading the news about it. It happened this morning while I was swamped with work and couldn't check my phone.
'that's why I was calling you!! You're perfect for this Mei-ah and I know you wouldn't want to miss being in the same set with your one and only love.'
'how did we afford him? This man is worth thousands no millions when it comes to a modeling contract. There is absolutely no way we can afford this...how do we get that investment back?'
Jiwoo grinned at me and shook her head in disbelief. It was then I forgot...she can very well afford to get even the highest paid actor in Hollywood for who am I kidding? Even without the help of  her influential and very affluent family my bestfriend owns one of the most successful fashion boutiques in Asia and Europe.
'I can't believe this...' I muttered 'I don't think I can model for this...maybe hire a professional for this Jiwoo...it's too huge of an investment if I don't pull this off.'
'ohh no!! you are not backing out of this Jeon Mei Lin. There is no way I am letting you say no! His agency wanted you to be his partner for this shoot.'
I would have fainted right at that very moment when I heard what she said.
'his agency? why?? we have plenty of models...why me? I only work part time.'
'they were mesmerised by your beauty and charm as simple as that and we know you're a perfect fit for their star as well.'
she whispered as she slowly took my glassess off and untied my bun. I squinted as I tried to get my eyeglasses back from her but knowing my bestfriend she won't give them back unless she has her way.
'for how long will you keep hiding yourself behind these glasses Mei? How long will you be depriving the world of your beauty?'
I rolled my eyes at her compliment and sighed...if only I can tell her. If only I can tell her the reason why I choose to hide my eyes beneath my glasses then maybe instead of convincing me to model along with the man of my dreams she would be helping me look for a husband so my family could leave me be and we could all live in peace.
Sadly all I can do was keep my mouth shut and nodded at the offer given to me. No one can know and no one must know. It's safer that way.
'alright I'll do it...I'll take my leave on Friday and Monday. Anything for Satoh-san and your boutique.'
I told her with a smile to which she jumped up from off her seat and gave me a bone crushing hug. For a tiny thing Jung Ji Woo sure can hug...makes me wonder where she got her strength from.
'kamasahamnida Mei-ah!! Don't worry everything is taken cared of all you need is to relax and look all pretty on Friday.' she then smiled and added 'should I accidentally book a hotel room for the both of you?'
I groaned and shook my head at what she was planning. I doubt anything can happen if she does that. This man whose pictures has adorned my phone for as long as I started being his fan would never notice me. He was just way out of my league. He travels the same circles as Jiwoo and her family or my cousin's also very affluent family. I didn't belong there...or should I say I don't even belong in this world. I was made for something else and I have been trying my best to not think about it.
I was destined for something else and the longer I dilly dally the more my head starts to pound. Is it too much to want what other girls have?
I hid my sadness in my cup of tea as I found Jiwoo smiling while looking at her phone talking to her fiancée no doubt. Whereas my single ass was in dire need of a fucking date but then again with the hideous glasses I wear I doubt anyone would want me.
*Satoh's POV*
'your flight for Seoul is on Thursday night Takeru-san and here is your schedule during your stay there.'
I smiled in gratitude at my assistant Takei-san who handed me an ipad as I took a break from work. It was a warm day in Kyoto and I was just finishing up the last few takes of a modeling stint for Versace and I was looking forward to a cold drink.
I sat on my chair inside the cool shade of the villa we were in and stretched my back. It was a long day but I had fun. Unbeknownst to everyone I was not just into acting or modeling though my family approved of it and allowed me to pursue what I love provided I don't forget to help run the business empire that our family has.
The money and the power my family has gave me the freedom to do whatever I love but it doesn't mean I don't work hard for it. My success wasn't handed to me on a golden platter I worked thrice as hard to get to where I am and to amass whatever success I hold
After that modeling stint with a very famous fashion line in Seoul I would finally get some much needed rest and to check on some of my businesses in Korea including my new baby which was a game and software development company which is now doing exceptionally well in both Korea and Japan. It was also starting to gain recognition in the US as well.
Personally I want to congratulate one of my lead game and software developer there who produced a game that has now over millions of downloads and users all over the globe. I also want to discuss another software app that I have in mind with him.
Yes I was all about business but maybe just maybe I may get a chance to rest a little bit when I get to Seoul.
'and the management of Meijiwoo agreed to our request. The shoot will be held privately and your partner is someone they deeply trust.'
I nodded as I checked the ipad and the profile of the model I will be working with. Looks like I would be having fun with this shoot. I smiled as I checked the portfolio they have sent...the girl in the photos could surely be a professional model in Seoul for she has the beauty a master artist would want to paint. She wasn't overly beautiful like the rest of the girls I had worked with or even the women I dated but there was something very alluring about her. It was then I saw her eyes. They were a brilliant shade of blue and the more I look at them the more beautiful they were getting.
'what's her name? is she a foreigner?'
I asked Takei-san to which he shook his head and said.
'she's korean, that's what the management told us but I can get some more information about Mei, Mei-san.'
So this beauty is named Mei...looks like my trip to Korea is getting more interesting and Friday couldn't come any sooner.
I smiled as I continued checking her portfolio most of the modeling she has done was for Meijiwoo and some korean make up brands. She was a beauty and for sure her agency wouldn't find it difficult to market her abroad. With her enchanting blue eyes this girl could conquer to world and it made me wonder why doesn't she have any other works than in Korea it was a shame to not let the world know of this beauty.
'Takei-san make sure to find out who her manager is maybe we can arrange a deal with them for a contract. Her beauty shouldn't be hidden.'
I said as I handed him the ipad and closed my eyes...looks like I have another business in mind. My parents would be so pleased that in whatever I do I always put business first forgetting myself sometimes.
I sighed and got a drink from the table and walked towards the window admiring the zen like beauty of the garden outside. The glass of whisky in my hand mocking me. I am now at the top of my game, of my career. I have achieved everything that I could ever want but why do I feel hollow inside?
Amidst the fortune I have from all the years of hard work why do I feel lonely everytime I go home? It's as if the more I surround myself with luxury the more empty I become.
'I probably just need to get laid...'
I muttered as I took my phone and checked who among my female friends are free and mentally reminding myself to buy her a gift as a token of my gratitude. It was always like this...after hours of pleasure I still feel so damn empty inside.

This World
Idols: Haseul and Vivi (Loona)
Prompt: Can I ask for a dark LOONA ViSeul scenario where OT12 live in a world which is full of brutal crimes and the girls are the only heroes left who can stop them? Tho powers etc are illegal and everyone who has powers lost their human rights, but the girls still want to save the world, they don't have secret identities anymore and in one day Vivi got badly hurt by their enemy, so she and Haseul decide to get illegally married and OT12 are throwing a big marriage. Kinda based on Watchmen great film:D
Writer: Admin Kiwi
A/N: Okay so I took a few liberties with the prompt so it ended up being pretty angsty. And I (mostly) used their real names. Also there are like? No viseul gifs? And I don’t have the time to make my own right now. But anyway, I hope you all still enjoy!
Warnings: Blood, injury, fighting, mentions of death, major character death, cursing. This gets really dark, I’m warning you.

The air was clogged thick with smoke and fog as Vivi and Haseul entered the neighborhood. What had once been a beautiful place to live was now left desolate and crumbling, bombed until only rubble remained. As they stopped on the road, taking in the situation, Haseul’s heart dropped. She had a feeling this would be another dead-end run. The only buildings still recognizable were the church and one crumbling apartment building, and that wasn’t a good sign. Still, they had a job to do, so she took a deep breath and turned to her girlfriend.
“I’m going to check over here in the church for any survivors, you take the apartment building. Sooyoung, can you hear us?” She touched at her temple, just like the other woman had taught her.
“Loud and clear.” Sooyoung’s voice rang through her head. “I’ll be listening, keep us updated.”
“Will do,” Vivi said aloud, touching her temple as well. “Things aren’t looking good, but we’ll do our best.”
Haseul reached over and squeezed Vivi’s hand, giving her a grim smile. “Good luck.”
“Same to you.”
The church was leaning on it’s side, and as Haseul approached, it teetered slightly, rubble falling from the sides. Swallowing, she took her steps carefully, trying not to disturb the crumbling remains around her. Any wrong step and she could be buried in rubble. It wouldn’t hurt her if she could put up a shield in time, but it would be a pain for Vivi to dig her back out and she didn’t want that.
“Hello? Is anyone here?” She stepped into the building, glancing around, only for her stomach to turn again. No one would be answering her call. Still, she searched, hoping for at least one pulse or one gasp of breath. Hopefully, Vivi was having more luck. Her x-ray vision kept her from having to search closely like everyone else. “Rest peacefully,” Haseul said quietly as she stood from the last body, shaking her head. “I wish I could give you all a proper burial.”
“Any luck? Vivi said hers was bust.” Sooyoung echoed in her head again and she sighed.
“No luck over here, I think-.” She never saw it coming. As she stepped out of the church, a clatter of rubble made her turn, only for her to come face-to-face with four men in black and white masks. The terrorists. Her stomach dropped and she raised her hand, but even as she moved, she knew she was too late. Their guns were already firing, she wouldn’t be able to throw up a shield in time.
Something stepped in front of her, and her eyes widened, her heart stopping as she stumbled forward. “Vivi!” The world went red, and as Haseul’s shield blinked to life, Vivi fell to the ground, body limp. Haseul ran towards her, fear coursing through every vein in her body as she fell to her knees beside her girlfriend and cradled the older woman’s head in her arms, taking in the damage. There was so much blood, too much to even see where the wounds were, and Vivi wasn’t responding. “Vivi!” Haseul screamed it this time, tears beginning to stream down her face a she held her closer, panic setting in. “Please, I can’t lose you too, I can’t live without you.”
“Haseul! What the hell is happening! Are you okay?” It was Sooyoung. Haseul only then realized that she hadn’t taken her hand away from her temple when she first screamed Vivi’s name. Quickly, she lifted her bloodied hand to her temple.
“We were ambushed. Vivi’s down, I-I don’t know if she’s going to make it, I don’t know what to do, I can’t-.”
“I have Yerim on her way to get you right now! Do you have a shield up?”
“Y-yes. Please tell her to hurry, Vivi needs help.” Haseul hadn’t felt this helpless in years, but now, as she sobbed and held Vivi in her arms, she was wrapped in a familiar guilt. A familiar panic. How could this happen again?
Rubble scattered behind her and she jerked her head, only to breathe a sigh of relief when she saw Yerim running towards the two of them, her eyes wide.
“Oh my god,” the younger girl said, voice tight, and Haseul reached up, grabbing her and holding her tight.
“Teleport us back now! I’m holding Vivi, she’ll come too!”
“R-right! Jiwoo is waiting for us!”
Teleportation always made Haseul sick to her stomach, but she hardly even noticed it this time as she clutched Vivi closer and pressed her forehead to hers, willing Vivi to hold on just a little while longer.
Sure enough, Jiwoo was there when they landed back in the hideout, and she immediately ran forward, biting her lip and narrowing her eyes with concentration. Her hands glowed as she brought them to Vivi’s body, and a bead of sweat rolled down her temple.
“This... This is really bad,” she said softly, not looking away as she slowly moved her hands over the wounds, her fingers twitching and moving in a skilled, practiced fashion. “She’s lost a lot of blood. I can heal the wounds but I can’t restore her blood count.”
“Please, you can’t let her die.” Haseul’s voice broke as she spoke and Jiwoo bowed her head, eyes welling up with tears. Haseul was the leader of the group. She was level-headed, experienced, and mature. No one had ever seen her like this, because she’d never let them see her emotional side. But now that it was on display for everyone to see, the situation was heightened. The Haseul that was usually so level-headed, keeping the group’s spirits high, was terrified. And that made everyone else scared too.
“I’ll do everything I can to save her,” Jiwoo said, closing her eyes and channeling all of her healing power to her fingertips. Now was not the time to panic. She had a job to do. “I promise.”
-
“Mom! Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom!” Yeojin’s voice echoed through the house as she ran down the stairs and barreled into the kitchen, face flushed pink with excitement. Haseul laughed, throwing up a quick force-field shield against the ground as the little girl slipped on the tile floor before regaining her balance and running over to her side. She’d already grown so much since Haseul had promised her cousin, Yeojin’s biological mom, that she would raise her as her own.
“What did I tell you about running on the tile with your socks on?”
“You said I’ll get hurt. But Mom! I made something cool with Momma for you!” Yeojin grinned, wide-eyed and innocent with her hands behind her back, and Haseul smiled affectionately, turning down the stove and wiping her hands on her apron as she turned to her adopted daughter.
“And what’s that, Yeojin?”
“Look!” The six-year-old thrust a little decorated frame forward. Inside was a drawing of Haseul in her apron and Vivi with her signature pink glasses, with Yeojin in the middle, wearing her favorite pink dress and holding both their hands. In neat lettering, she’d written “my family” at the top of the drawing, then again in glitter gel on the padded frame. “Do you like it?”
“I love it!” Haseul beamed and took the frame, touching her heart. “Did you do this all by yourself?”
“Yes!” Yeojin turned to see Vivi walked into the room, then looked back up at Haseul sheepishly. “Well, Momma helped a little. But mostly by myself!”
Laughing, Haseul gave the girl a hug, sending a wink to Vivi over her shoulder. “I like it either way. Great job, I’m impressed!” As she stood up, she smiled at her girlfriend. “Great job to you too.”
“I was just a helper,” Vivi said, smiling as she walked over to the pair. “Yeojin did all the hard work.”
“See?”
“I see!” The timer went off and Haseul gently put the frame down on the counter. “Are my hard workers ready for dinner? It’s Yeojin’s favorite!”
“Yay! Spicy rice cake!” Yeojin let out a yell of happiness, making both her mothers laugh.
“Go wash your hands and sit down then, Bean,” Vivi said, and Yeojin pouted.
“I’m not a bean!”
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry. Go wash up then, Jinnie.”
“Okay!” Yeojin ran out of the room and Haseul turned to give Vivi a kiss on the cheek. Vivi raised her eyebrows, grinning.
“What was that for?”
“Can I not kiss the woman I love?”
“You’re a sap, Love.” Vivi gave her a quick kiss. “Thanks for making dinner while I played with Yeojin.”
“Anything for the ones I love!”
“Are you in a sappy mood today?”
Haseul shook her head and smiled. “No, I’m just feeling happy and affectionate today. It’s nice to spend time together as a family. All we need now is to get married, you know.”
“Are you proposing to me, Haseul?”
“Maybe. Want to marry me, Kahei?”
“Sure, why not?”
-
Haseul blinked awake to the sound of a closing door somewhere. Her arms were folded under her head, resting on the bed, and her neck was bent in a weird position that left it cramping as she sat up, groaning at the pain. When had she fallen asleep?
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” Jiwoo said, giving Haseul a small smile as she walked over to the bed.
“When did I fall asleep?”
“About an hour ago. I didn’t want to wake you up because you looked like you needed the sleep.”
Haseul looked at Vivi, who was still pale and breathing slowly. She hadn’t moved at all since they cleaned her off and put her in her bed. “Is she doing okay?”
“She’s stabilized and I’m making sure she stays that way. It’s up to her to survive now.” Jiwoo watched as Haseul gently took Vivi’s hand. “What were you dreaming about?”
Jumping a bit, the older girl glanced back at Jiwoo. “Why?”
“You were crying and smiling in your sleep. I was just curious.”
“Oh.” Haseul swallowed and looked back down at Vivi’s limp hand in her own. Her heart hurt more than anything else as the memories came flooding back, leaving a heavy burden on her shoulders. “I was just dreaming of a time before.... The law.”
-
Hours later, when the room was dark and most of the other women had been sent out to try and keep the terrorist group from striking again, Haseul held Vivi’s limp, cold hand in her own and cried. Everything that she’d bottled up over the course of the year came flooding out as she sobbed, hunched over the bed.
“Kahei,” she whispered, even though no one else was there to hear. It was a name she hadn’t used since that fateful day, but it tumbled out naturally now. Vivi’s real name. “I had a dream about Yeojin again.” At the mention of their daughter, there was a twitch, and Haseul’s heart surged with hope. “Kahei, please. You have to wake up. For me and for Yeojin. I can’t live in this world without you.”
There was no response, and Haseul’s heart fell into her stomach as she rested her head against Vivi’s shoulder. “It’s okay, take your time. I’ll stay here until you wake up.”
-
“Mom! Mom, Momma, what’s happening?” Yeojin’s voice was high and full of fear as she held tightly to her parent’s hands, shivering between them. All three of them were hidden inside a small closet in the bedroom, listening as the sound of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood and someone slammed against the door. It had only been days since the announcement of the ban on superheros and superpowers came over the TV, shattering their normal life. Vivi had been hopeful that, since they weren’t technically heroes anymore, they’d be left alone. But that was not the case.
“Open up, you hero scum!”
“I’m scared.”
“Shh.” Haseul had long since put up a shield around them in the closet, and now she wrapped her arms around Yeojin tighter. “It’s going to be okay.”
“Haseul,” Vivi whispered, “they’re gathering at the door.” She had taken off her glasses and was now looking through the house, out into the neighborhood. Her eyes glowed pink as she used her powers. “Some of them are our neighbors.”
“Our neighbors? Why?” Haseul shook her head, incredulous. “We’ve never been anything but nice!”
“I don’t know, but they’re there. I think the government has been spreading some sort of anti-hero propaganda. They also announced all the secret identities of known heroes today-.” The door slammed open and Yeojin began to cry. Quickly, Haseul put her hand over the girl’s mouth and strengthened her shield around them.
“Pink Watcher, Miss Shield, we know you’re here!”
Heart pounding, Haseul turned to look at her fiancee. Vivi’s eyes were wide and panicked. Those were their old hero names, from before they’d settled down to raise Yeojin. “What should we do,” Haseul mouthed, and Vivi shook her head, out of ideas. They couldn’t hide forever, and from the sound of it, they wouldn’t be able to talk their way out of this one. They would probably have to fight their way out.
Crashing came from the hallway and the sound of destruction filled the house, adding to the loud yelling that seemed to surround the closet. Haseul knew they only had one choice, even if she didn’t like it. “We’re going to have to run. You hold Yeojin, she’s still small enough to carry on your back. We’ll go to my parent’s farm. We should be safe for at least a little while there.”
“Okay.” Vivi stood up and Haseul followed suit, helping her pick up Yeojin and put her on her back. After Yeojin was secure and holding on tight, her eyes wide and scared, Haseul strengthened her shield one last time and the three burst from the room. Immediately, bullets began to fly, but they bounced off the shield as Haseul led them down the stairs and out the back door. The house had been ransacked and destroyed, all the family photos littering the ground and graffiti on the walls. Haseul was able to look over her shoulder at the lettering on the side of the house as they ran, and her stomach turned.
Die Hero Scum.
This was it. The world had changed, and there would be no going back now. Now, they had to learn how to survive.
-
“Kahei, do you remember when we were going to get married? Why didn’t we do that?” Haseul brushed Vivi’s hair back from her face and shook her head. “I don’t want you to die yet. I wanted to marry you, and raise a family with you. The law got in the way, but... I still want to marry you. I can’t imagine my life without you. I regret not marrying you sooner. I’m sorry, for everything.”
-
They saw the smoke before they saw the barn. For weeks they’d traveled, avoiding well-known areas and covering their faces, only to find the farm destroyed. The barn was on fire, billowing smoke up into the sky, and the rest of the place had been ransacked and covered in anti-hero graffiti. Shaking, Haseul made her way into the main house, only for her heart to break immediately, sending her running back outside. Her parents had been surprised in their bed. They never stood a chance.
“Why?” She turned to look at Vivi, tears flowing down her cheeks. Vivi and Yeojin were also crying, Yeojin sobbing into Vivi’s shoulder as she held the little girl tight. “Why would they do this? They weren’t doing anything wrong! They were retired! Why are they chasing us? We’ve never hurt or killed anyone! We worked for the government! We never did anything wrong.”
“The world has gone mad,” Vivi said slowly, pulling Haseul into a hug. For a while, they all stood there, crying and holding each other tight. They were tired, hungry, and now, hopeless. How could they survive in a world like this?
Finally, Haseul took a deep breath and pulled away. “I’ll see if they left any food in the cabinets. If so, we can stay here for the night. I doubt they’ll hit the same place twice.”
“How about you let me check the cabinets,” Vivi said, putting a hand on Haseul’s shoulder. “I know you want to give your parents a proper burial.”
Swallowing, Haseul looked back at the house where her parents lay. A weight settled heavily on her shoulders as she wiped her face, willing herself not to cry again. “Okay. Keep Yeojin close. I won’t be long.”
Haseul chose a spot near the pastures, where she knew her parents liked to sit and watch the sun rise. There, she used her shield as a shovel, melding the force-field into a curved, sharp surface. She had never thought she’d use her powers for something other than fighting or protecting, and yet she had no choice. So she got to work, not wanting to be out past dark.
She was filling in the last of the dirt when she heard it. Gunfire. Her heart stopped as she spun around and ran, melting her shields into armor just as she’d done as a hero. Screams reached her ears and she rounded the house just in time to see five armed men busting through the door, their guns blazing.
“Stop!”
“Yeojin!”
Haseul’s blood ran cold. Then she boiled over and her shields changed into sharp knives for the first time, plunging their way through the bodies of the men as she ran past them inside. Five bodies dropped behind her as she stopped, staring in horror at the sight in front of her. Yeojin was limp and covered in blood, cradled in Vivi’s arms. She was desperately trying to cover the wounds with her hand, screaming for Yeojin to wake up and apologizing to her over and over for not being able to protect her. The world came crashing down as Haseul fell to her knees beside her daughter and checked her pulse.
Nothing. Yeojin was gone. Slumping over, she began to sob, clutching her daughter’s body even though she knew she couldn’t bring her back. Vivi was sobbing now too, loud and heartbroken, like nothing Haseul had ever heard as she leaned against Haseul, her entire body going shuddering with the force of her cries. She’d been shot too, and she was losing blood, but she didn’t even seem to notice as she held Yeojin.
“It should have been me,” she wailed, “She reached out for me but I couldn’t get there in time. I couldn’t do anything!”
Haseul sat back and touched her daughter’s face, gently running her fingers over her soft cheeks and closing the little girl’s eyes despite her blood-covered hands. Seven was too young to die. Too young to see the horrible reality of the world. Her tears landed on Yeojin’s face as she unfastened the girl’s favorite necklace, a silver chain with three charms: a deer, a bird, and a frog. One for each of them. As, she held Yeojin’s tiny body in her arms, she whispered her own apologies into the girl’s ear, hoping that she heard them somehow. Just one more time, she wanted Yeojin to hear her say that she loved her, and that she was sorry.
If only she hadn’t been out in the field. If only she hadn’t left them alone. If only they hadn’t adopted Yeojin. She had just been a normal human. She could have survived if it wasn’t for them. “It’s not your fault,” she said as she wrapped her arm around Vivi, the weight on her shoulders growing heavier as she cried. “I should have never left the two of you unprotected.”
-
“Haseul?” Jungeun’s voice rang in the quiet room as she stepped inside, her wings tucked tightly down behind her as she gave the older girl a little smile. “Sorry if I startled you. I wanted to come check on you and Vivi.”
Haseul sighed and sat up, her hand still in Vivi’s. It was now the morning of the second day, and she was exhausted. “She’s stable and she’s gotten warmer. But she’s still not waking up. I’m worried.” Worried was an understatement. She was terrified, but she couldn’t admit it. Jungeun pressed her lips together as she walked over to the bed, her wings drooping like they only did when she was upset.
“We’re all really worried. But we’re worried about you too. Have you gotten any sleep?”
“A little.”
Jungeun didn’t seem to believe her. “Really? You look exhausted.”
“I’ve been having nightmares,” Haseul said truthfully, looking back down at Vivi. “It’s hard to sleep.”
“I see.”
The door opened, and Haseul looked up to see Heejin and Hyunjin walk in. Immediately, they came over to the bed and Heejin wrapped her in a tight hug as Hyunjin took Vivi’s other hand. It was relieving, if only a little, to see the girls Haseul had started this whole journey with. They’d found Haseul and Vivi after their tragedy, bloody and broken, and had taken them into their little group, becoming their new family. It was because of them that they’d started living again, devoting their life to saving the lives of others. Only Heejin and Hyunjin knew the truth about Haseul and Vivi’s background, so they would understand how devastated Haseul felt.
“I’m so sorry we’re only just now getting here,” Heejin said, still holding her tight. She seemed on the verge of crying, but she was holding it in. “We were out on an assignment with Hyejoo and Jinsoul when everything happened, and they immediately sent us with Chaewon to go find the terrorists. We only just got back.”
“Did you get them?” Haseul knew her voice was more weak and hoarse than usual, and Hyunjin sent her a worried glance when she heard it, but neither of them commented on it.
“We got them. They wont be hurting anyone else. At least, not that faction,” Hyunjin said, her eyes darkening. “It feels like there’s more of those assholes every day.”
“It’s because the world’s gone to hell,” Jungeun commented, shaking her head. “We’re doing all we can.”
“Is there anything you need from us, Haseul?” Heejin asked, concern laced in her voice. “Anything at all? We’re worried about you, really. You need to get some rest. We can get Jiwoo to take care of the nightmares for you.”
Haseul shook her head, tightening her grip on Vivi’s hand. “No. I can’t leave until she wakes up.”
The three women exchanged glances, but Haseul ignored them, focused on Vivi. Had she just moved?
“Okay, then,” Hyunjin said slowly, patting Vivi’s shoulder gently before backing away. “We’ll leave you alone. But please take care of yourself, Haseul. Everything is going to be okay.”
She didn’t really believe that, but Haseul nodded anyway.
“And stay strong,” Heejin added, giving Haseul one last hug before she joined the other girls at the end of the bed. “We’re rooting for you, Vivi. And we love you. Both.”
Haseul smiled a bit at this. “Thank you. I appreciate your support.”
“Of course.”
When the door shut behind them, Haseul slowly pulled the silver chain necklace out from under her shirt and rubbed her thumb over the bird charm. Half of the frog charm gleamed in the rising sun, and she reached up to pull Vivi’s necklace from under her shirt, revealing the other half of the frog and the deer.
“This way, Yeojin will always be with both of us,” Vivi had said as she cut the charm in half. Since then, neither of them had taken off the charms, despite the fact that they’d rusted and faded slightly over time. It was hard to take good care of something when you were constantly on the run, but they tried their best.
The charms were all they had left of their daughter.
“When you wake up,” Haseul said quietly, leaning in to kiss Vivi’s forehead. She felt warmer, and that was a good sign. She just had to hope. “Let’s get married. Just like we said we would.”
-
When they’d first joined Hyunjin and Heejin on the road, Vivi and Haseul had both been aloof, scared to get close or trust anyone. But slowly, as the other women began to join, they started to open themselves up again. They weren’t the only ones with tragedy in the background.
Heejin had been living her life as a successful vet, using her powers to speak to the animals and figure out their illnesses or issues. She’d never even been a hero, yet when the government propaganda started, the town and her own family had turned against her and she’d only escaped because Hyunjin showed up and saved her just in time. Hyunjin had been on the run herself, but when she saw Heejin cowering beside her overturned car with three people looming over her, she’d decided to help. Her poison claws had left them paralyzed, and ever since then, Hyunjin and Heejin had been on the run together.
Jiwoo had been a nurse who saved lives, only to have hers threatened. Sooyoung only survived because she could manipulate her townspeople in their minds long enough to get away, but her sister wasn’t so lucky. Jungeun never had a chance to hide her wings, making her an outcast since birth. Jinsoul had been forced to hide in a lake for days on end to escape, only surviving because she could make an air bubble around her head. Chaewon and Hyejoo had been current heroes, only to be accused of espionage by the government and forced to go into hiding. They were lucky they even got out, as other official heroes were turning up dead every day. Yerim, the last to join the group, had lost her entire family after being outed as a hero.
Everyone had scars and pain in their past, and when Haseul saw that, she couldn’t push them away. Instead, she became their leader, forcing herself to push her own grief aside so that she could take care of the group. Her decision added more weight to her shoulders, but she dealt with it, because she didn’t want any of the others to have to do it. She didn’t want anyone else to have to suffer.
-
On the morning of the third day, Vivi finally woke up. As soon as she shifted in the bed, letting out a small groan, Haseul jumped to her feet, leaning over the bed with wide, hopeful eyes. She watched with bated breath as the older woman blinked and moved, stretching out her legs and letting out a little whine before her eyes opened all the way. Relief washed over Haseul’s shoulders as she let out the breath she’d been holding and began to cry, wrapping her arms around Vivi’s shoulders.
“Your awake! Oh my god, you’re awake. I was so scared, you have no idea how scared I was.”
Slowly, Vivi reached up, hugging Haseul in return with weak limbs. “What happened?” Her voice was hoarse and Haseul moved away, touching her face gently. She could hardly believe this was happening.
“You were hurt really bad. Jiwoo was able to heal you but you’d lost a lot of blood. You’ve been out for three days.”
“Three?” Vivi blinked as she took Haseul’s hand. “Oh, that’s right. We were ambushed.” She swallowed, shivering slightly, and it suddenly struck home just how weak she looked. “I’m cold, Haseul.”
Immediately, Haseul jumped up, her heart pounding. She knew she probably looked a little crazy with the dark circles under her eyes and her hair and clothes mussed and askew, but she didn’t care. “Let me get some more blankets and grab Jiwoo. I can also get you some water and food. Would you like that?” At Vivi’s nod, she turned and jogged out of the room, running into the kitchen. There, the rest of the girls were eating breakfast, and they all turned to look at her with wide eyes when she burst into the room. “Vivi’s awake!”
“Vivi’s awake?”
“Oh, thank goodness, I was so scared!”
“That’s great!”
Jiwoo stood up, rolling up her sleeves. “I’ll go make sure she’s doing okay and that her vitals are stable. Sooyoung, can you come help me?”
“And she’s cold,” Haseul blurted, and Heejin jumped from her seat.
“I’ll grab blankets!”
“Let me get her some food, I bet she’s hungry.”
“Oh, and water! I bet she needs water!”
Haseul watched as the girls jumped up, all ready to help and all just as relieved as she was that Vivi was alive. Then, once again, tears began to roll down her face as she realized that she and Vivi were no longer alone in the world. They had a new family and wonderful friends who loved them and supported them. As she cried, tears a mix of relief and sadness, Hyunjin pulled her into a tight hug.
“Everything is going to be okay,” she said, and this tie, Haseul believed her.
-
Even with the help of Jiwoo’s healing powers, recovery was a long process. Some damage could not be undone, and Vivi was still very weak. She slept long hours and needed help doing even the smallest of things. But she was alive, and Haseul was happy to stay by her side through the process, there for whatever Vivi or Jiwoo needed from her.
One night, as they got into bed, Vivi turned to her with a serious face. “Haseul, there’s something I’ve been meaning to bring up to you.”
Blinking, Haseul sat up and propped herself up on her elbow. “What’s that?”
“When I was... asleep. For those three days. I had dreams, where I heard you talking to me. Were you really talking to me?”
“I did talk to you. Quite a lot, actually.”
Biting her lip, Vivi picked at her blanket. “So, um. Did you happen to tell me that you were going to marry me when I woke up?”
As she remembered everything she’d said, Haseul’s face flushed. “I-I did.”
“Did you mean it?”
Her heart skipped a beat as Vivi looked at her, dark eyes earnest. This was the first time they’d talked about marriage in over a year. For so long, they’d been scared. Scared of the future, scared to love, and scared to go forward. They’d been attached to the past, the perfect life that they had before all this happened. Talking about marriage had felt... wrong, without Yeojin there. But now, Haseul swallowed and squared her shoulders, reaching over to take her girlfriend’s hand. She was finally ready to move forward.
“I did. I meant every word I said. When I thought I might lose you.... I was so scared, but I also regretted never marrying you. All I want is to be with you for the rest of my life. I want you to be my wife, because I love you and I believe in us. No matter what the future has in store, I’m ready to face it as long as I’m with you. I’m ready to face this world if you’re beside me. I don’t have a ring or anything to make this official, but will you marry me, Kahei?”
A smile spread over Vivi’s face and she threw her arms around Haseul, knocking her back against the bed. “Yes, I’ll marry you!” As she pulled away, tears glistened in her eyes. “You know, as my life flashed before my eyes, when I almost died.... My main regret was not marrying you. We should have gotten married so long ago.” The silver chain fell out from her shirt and she smiled, affectionately touching her half of the frog chain. “I used to think that it would be... disrespectful if we got married after everything. To Yeojin, I mean. I used to think that I didn’t deserve to be happy anymore, because Yeojin didn’t get to live a full life because of me. But now that I’ve had time to think about it.... I think this is what she would have wanted. She was such a sweet girl, she would never have wanted us to be unhappy. I don’t know if I can go back to being Kahei. I’ve gotten so used to being Vivi. But I think I can finally move on.” The tears spilled over as she spoke, and Haseul pulled her back into a hug, holding her tight.
As they cried, holding each other, Haseul felt a small hand touch her face. It was brief and when she opened her eyes, nothing as there. But she’d felt it, and as Vivi locked eyes with her, she knew that she’d felt it too.
“Was that...?”
There was no real explanation for it. But Haseul felt herself smile as a weight lifted off her shoulders. “I think Yeojin just gave us her permission to be happy again.”
-
When Haseul had first imagined her wedding, she’d had a lot of dreams. She’d wanted a beautiful venue, expensive decorations, and a huge party. She’d never imagined that she would end up getting married in the back of a hideout, with makeshift decorations made out of rubble and whatever flowers the girls would find. She’d never imagined that she’d have to hand-sew her dress and scrounge for the wedding food.
But when she stood at the end of the makeshift aisle in her plain white dress, freshly healed flowers wrapped in plastic in her hand with the women that had become her new family grinning happily at her, she realized that she didn’t care if it wasn’t the wedding of her dreams. She was happy anyway.
Jungeun stood at the end of the aisle, dressed in a suit that was too big for her with her wings perked up and unfurled, and as Haseul approached her, she gave her a huge smile. “You look great.”
“Thanks, so do you.”
Heejin strummed her guitar and Hyunjin beside her started to sing a traditional wedding song, and Vivi stepped out from behind the white sheet Jiwoo and Sooyoung had hung up the day before. Haseul’s breath escaped her as she watched Vivi smile and move to the aisle, tucking her hair behind her ear. She was wearing a long lace veil, and her dress was longer than Haseul’s, touching the ground as she walked. Somehow, Chaewon had gotten her hands on some pearls and gems, apparently, because the white dress glittered and shined even without any light to reflect. She was beautiful, and Haseul was the most lucky woman in the world.
As Vivi moved into position in front of her, Haseul grinned, her heart pounding. “Wow,” she said, because she couldn’t get anything else out, and Vivi giggled, taking both of Haseul’s hands after handing off their flowers to Jiwoo.
“Wow to you too.”
Jungeun cleared her throat, interrupting them. “Friends, family. We are gathered here together today to celebrate the wedding of our dear Vivi and Haseul.” Her voice wavered a little bit as she tried to remember the rest of her speech. “Um, we before god....”
“You know, you can just skip that part,” Hyunjin hissed, making everyone laugh. Blushing, Jungeun shrugged.
“Okay. Our brides have prepared their own vows. Haseul, would you like to start?”
Taking a deep breath, Haseul nodded. “Yes. Vivi, we’ve been through a lot together. This year marks the tenth year since we shared our first kiss together. Back then, we were young heroes without a care in the world. A lot has happened since then, both good and bad, but because of you, I’ve continued to live and look towards the future. As long as I have you, I have hope. Vivi, I promise to always take care of you and stay by your side. I promise to always have your back. I promise to always look out for you. I promise to love you in sickness and in health. No matter what happens to us, I promise that I will always be your loyal wife, and that nothing will ever tear us apart. I love you. Always.”
Smiling, Vivi squeezed her hands. “Haseul, you said most of the things I wanted to say already, so you kind of stole my speech.” She giggled as everyone laughed before continuing. “But I want you to know that I love you. Even after everything we’ve had to go through, I love you with my entire being. I’ve never lost my faith in you, and even if you think you did, you’ve never let me down. I’ve always been able to depend on you, ever since our hero days. I want you to know that you can depend on me too. I promise that I’ll always take care of you, and that I’ll always stay by your side. I promise that I’ll love you despite everything that comes our way. I promise to continue living by your side. And I promise to stay your loyal, loving wife until I draw my last breath. I love you, Haseul. And I always will.”
Tears pricked at the back of Haseul’s eyes, but she pushed them away. She’d already cried enough tears.
“Haseul, do you take Vivi to be your kinda lawfully wedded wife, for now and forever?”
“I do.”
“And Vivi, do you take Haseul to be your kinda lawfully wedded wife, for now and forever?”
“I do!”
“Great!” Jungeun clapped her hands. “By the power that was bestowed on me by the online class I took two days ago, I now pronounce you wife and wife! You both may now kiss the bride!”
Haseul didn’t have to be told twice. She cupped Vivi’s head in her hands and leaned in, kissing her passionately as Vivi pulled her in closer with her arms wrapped around her shoulders. All around them, the girls began to cheer and Heejin strummed her guitar loudly as Chaewon turned the light into glitter, making it fall down gently around them as they kissed. As Haseul pulled away, she laughed, her heart truly full and happy for the first time in what felt like forever.
“I love you,” she said, and then she turned to the others. The girls, the women, her family. “I love you all too,” she said, and she meant it.
“We love you both! Congratulations!”
“Kiss again, I didn’t get a good photo!”
“Chaewon, I’m gonna kill you, I have glitter in my mouth!”
“Who’s problem is that, Hyunjin? Not mine!”
“Throw the bouquets, let’s see who gets married next!”
“Hey, Jinsoul we aren’t ready for that yet!”
The room exploded into lively, loud conversation, and Vivi moved closer, taking Haseul’s hand into her own and leaning her head on her shoulder. “I’m so glad we made it this far,” she said quietly, a smile on her lips. “I have hope for this world again.”
With light shoulders and bright eyes, Haseul looked up at the light coming in from the window. Perhaps it was her imagination, but there she saw the shadows of her past all smiling down at her, mixed in with the whispers of the future. And she smiled.
“So do I.”

AU: High School, Rich Kids
Pairing: Jaehyun x Reader x Jaemin
Teaser Jaemin Version - Teaser Jaehyun Version
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first day of school was stressful just because of all the talk of class fees that your scholarship didn’t particularly pay for. Your group of friends waited for you as you made a call to your cousin asking if they had shifts for you to pick up at the family restaurant.
Making your way back to the group as they started walking with you. They were on scholarship to this school as well but, you were the poorest of the group. Being the goofs they were they were playfully horsing around. While you were quiet.
You felt a hand on your shoulder and Jaemin’s voice manifested directing itself at you, “What did your cousin say?”
“Oh,” You covered his hand in yours, “She’s picking me up to talk to my uncle about it?”
Haechan’s voice interrupted the small moment with the mentioning of someone else, “Chunja looks like she changed a bit over the summer. You going to slide up on her?”
“Who says that?” Renjun squinted at the unarguably most wild of the bunch.
“I do, No fun Renjun.” Haechan raised his fist to pretend to hit Renjun but, instead, he nudged Jaemin.
Jaemin rubbed his neck,” I dunno maybe. You think she’d be into me?”
Your heart barely had time to swell in an odd feeling when the whole group slowed down. You didn’t have much of a choice because of your position in the middle of the group but, to stop as you heard the speeding of a car pass the group with hooping and hollering.
You looked at Mark as he mumbled, “God. They’re such asses. Rich kids...”
The group continued their own conversations even causing Chenle’s dolphin laugh ring out among the group.
You squeezed through to stand next to him, “Don’t you hang out with them sometimes?”
He nodded in response, “That’s only because my uncle has money and makes his stepson take me with him so my mom feels like I’m assimilating fine.”
“Look at you! Using big words! Sounding all educated.” You laughed at him and he gave you a big brother seeming smile.
They always dropped you off at your house first then Jaemin as he lived right next to you. This time you took notice of your cousin’s car in the driveway along with your mother’s.
“Movie night at Mark- Hyung’s on Saturday!” Jisung reminded you.
“Jisung, it’s Monday. What are you gonna do? Remind her every day?” Jeno teased as they left.
You walked inside greeting your siblings, who excitedly talked about the first day back from break, and mother, who always took the first day of school off of work.
“Jiwoo is waiting for you in your room. We’ll talk about your day when you get back.” Your mom winked at you as she continued listening to your young sister.
“Yes, ma’am.” You nodded at her and walked to your room.
After years of saving up and asking for certain decorations for your birthday or even creating some of them, including a wobbly desk that served as a reminder of why you and the “Dream Team” shouldn’t be anywhere near Woodworking class or power tools in general. One thing that wasn’t apart of your room was your cousin who was lounging on your with two big bags set on the floor.
“What did you bring me?” You asked, tossing your bag in your desk chair.
“Well, hello to you too,” Jiwoo chuckled and wobbled on her knees to the edge of the bed, “I figured that since the girls at my college really liked you from your visit, they wanted to add on to this set of hand me downs. They even gave you old jewelry and shoes. Those are in my car. Although it seems lame that you’re wearing others clothes and stuff.”
You smiled as you looked through the clothes, “Are you kidding me? These are all so pretty and nice!”
“Yeah. They’re nice but, you deserve clothes you bought not preowned.” She told you with sadness laced in her voice.
“That’s why I work hard now, Ji... Tell them I said thank you,” You gave her a big smile as you held up a crop top and a pair of jeans, “For now, let’s try on this cute outfit.”
You sat with Jiwoo and ate ice cream that she leaves in the freezer just in case she has to stay in the restaurant late. You both eat ice cream out of the tub and talk.
“Today, on the way home Haechan was talking to Jaemin about Chunja,” You started scooping out a spoonful of ice cream.
“And this is significant why?” Jiwoo asked, sipping her drink.
“First off, Jaemin is my best friend and he has never, ever, said anything about this girl to me.” You put the spoon in your mouth.
“Is sweet little Y/N jealous?” Jiwoo teased.
You rolled your eyes, “No, I’m not jealous. Just worried. Chunja is one of the most popular girls in school and I think she’s-”
You dragged your eyes to look at a group of boys who started to wave you over.
“Those kids go to your school?” Jiwoo asked looking over.
“Yeah. They’re Flushes.” You told her standing.
“Flushes?” She asked tilting her head. She grew up rather middle class so some slang she just hasn’t heard.
“Shitty rich people.” You told her before walking over to the table.
You knew of all of them. You knew Lucas fairly well. He hung out with you and The Dreamies every now and then. He was a cool person and fit right in but, he only hung out with the group if his rich friends. He did tell you when he hung out with his friends if you or anyone in the group saw him call him Yukhei.
“Hey, Yukhei!” You gave him a fist bump and a wink.
“Hey, beautiful. I’ve got a few questions for you.” He told you with his ‘playboy’ voice.
“Anything for you.” You nudged him.
“What are you doing here?” Lucas smiled.
“I hope your hoodrat friends aren’t here,” Taeyong muttered before being hit by Jaehyun.  Taeyong was known for his distaste for the scholarships. He would go out of his way not to be associated with any of them except Mark.
“My family owns this place.” You answered ignoring the comment and the assault of Taeyong.
“They do?” Jaehyun inquired seemingly interested. You had a few classes with Jaehyun but, you never really talked because you had at least one member from your group in your classes. But, this year he has two classes with you. One filled with his friends and another with you and two of your friends.
You nodded and looked at Yukhei, “Next question. “
“That ice cream you had looked really good... Do they sell it here?”
“No, sorry.” You chuckled and rubbed on your neck.
“See I told you,” Jungwoo hit Yukhei’s shoulder then looked at you, “Yukhei’s is wrong about most things.”
Jaehyun spoke up,” He was right about one thing.”
“Oh? What was that?” You asked playing along.
“You definitely are beautiful,” Jaehyun took your hand gently, “We’re having a party this Saturday. I would love for you to come.”
You looked around before leaning toward the center and beckoning them to lean, “I’m sure you wouldn’t want a hoodrat messing up your party. Plus, I’ve got better things to do than hang out with a bunch of Flushes.”
Before any of them could respond you did a full 180 and waved them goodbye, “Bye, boys. Don’t forget to tip your waitress. I know you’ve got the cash.”
You slid into the office where your uncle usually counted money at night and where the security footage was collected. He told you to wait in there while he finished some things up. Jiwoo was seated on the table and started clapping as you slipped in.
“I have no idea what you did but, they tipped Ms.Kim fifty dollars,” Jiwoo smirked at you,” One of them left you his number.”
“Toss it.” You told her.
“Y/N... He’s a rich kid. Maybe his your way out.”
“He’s a Flush and I’m my own way out.” You couldn’t continue because your uncle came in.
“Y/N, I can’t give you any shifts.”
Your heart dropped, “I need the money...” You were willing to do anything. You worked hard to make sure you were helping your mom out in any way. As long as her and your siblings were taken care of you would work every minute you weren’t in school.
He held out a stack of bills,” That’s why I’m handing it to you. Y/N, you work so hard for everything you have so now it’s time for us to let you relax. You’re still a kid. You aren’t an adult you shouldn’t work like one. Just maintain good grades and get out of the lower class and I’ll help take care of you.”
Your eyes began to water before tears quickly made their way down your chin before you hugged the old man with as much strength as you could muster, “Thank you so much.”
Little did any of you know that the blessing to relax would come at the cost of teenage drama.
That night you were putting your new clothes, shoes, and jewelry away while playing music. There was a knock on your window. You jerked your head towards the window and saw a smiling Jaemin at your window. This was a frequent occurrence that started in middle school. When Mark wanted to hold a group meeting or Jaemin just wanted to come over.
You unlocked the window and slid it open, “Are you staying or are we going?”
“We’re going. Put a jacket and some shoes on.”
“Yes, sir.” You pulled a pair of shoes on and a jacket before taking Jaemin’s hand and climbing out the window and on to the raggedy old roof. From there you climbed down the tree by your house that connected your backyards.
You both dusted your hands off and stuffed your hands in your pockets. You two didn’t really talk. There were a few reasons for that.
A group of voices and smell of distant weed was one of those reasons. Instinctively Jaemin yanked your hood to cover your head and then covered his. He brought you into his side and shielded you.
The group watched you two walked by. They used to be your friends. You grew up with them but, ever since your group got scholarships to the “rich kid school” they felt like your group was trying to become “Flushes”. Although that wasn’t the case.
Another reason was keeping quiet until you got to the rest of the group as it was in your best interest not to get caught as rumors spread fast in a school full of snobby kids who are all watching all the time. Looking for reasons to justify the want in the separation of both groups.
The meeting place was at the picnic table by the swings in the park. Jaemin hopped the fence and you followed suit.
The smell of pizza caused you to run to the spot and grab a slice of pizza.
“Hello to you too,” Chenle commented and you lovingly leaned on him.
With a mouthful of pizza, you asked,” Who’s to thank for feed yours truly?”
Mark raised his hand and you blew him a kiss.
“What’s the meeting about, great leader?” Jaemin asked in a joking manner.
“It’s about Saturday,” He leaned on the pole,” Johnny, my uncle’s stepson, invited us to a party this Saturday.”
“Okay... Did you say no?” Jeno asked eating some pizza.
“I told them we’d be there.” Mark sighed at the chorus of groans.
“Saturday is for the boys plus, Y/N not a bunch of rich kids we don’t like.” Jisung voiced.
“For once in his very young life, Jisung is very right.” You spoke up.
“Guys, this is our chance to befriend the rich kids. Show them that we aren’t that bad. So, Saturday, I want you in your best party clothes. I want you guys to show those Flushes how we ‘hoodrats’  get down.” Mark got his leadership voice and you raised your hand.
“We can meet up at my place since it takes me the longest to get ready.” You offered.
“I’ll take my dad’s van and pick everyone up,” Jeno suggested.
“Sounds good,” Mark nodded, “Y/N, did your uncle give you any shifts?”
“He told me to stop working like an adult and to relax then handed me money for class fees “
Haechan smiled at you, ”Thank Goodness. Now we don’t have to hang out at the restaurant when you work. What are we gonna do with all this time with our favorite girl?”
“Get through the party with the rich kids,” Jaemin answered.

My Heart Beats For You | Sehun Soulmate!AU
Prompt: “When you look at me heart starts to race. GOD, even when you walk by me my heart starts running!”
Prologue - Part 1 - Part 2
Genre: Fluff, Angst, Attempted Humor?
“I just.. don’t understand.”
“Byun Baekhyun. I swear if you don’t leave me alone I will shove you to Greenland. I’m trying to study, just like everyone else in this damned library.”.
Baekhyun looked at me with a raised eyebrow and smirk causing me to pick up one of my textbooks and crane my hand back, in feign threat.
“Yah! Yah! Alright, Alright. Don’t damage the money maker you bean.” He said before resting his face on his hands, giving me the most innocent smile he could pull.
Rolling my eyes, I picked up my pen and started jotting some notes down on what seemed like the hundredth paper I’ve used today.
While that was happening, Baekhyun was somewhat deep in thought, a blank expression washing over his once playful one.
“What was I saying…? Oh! But whyyy, I mean how can you be friends with all of us but Sehun! You are nothing like the girls I’ve seen here, they practically jump onto Sehun. It just doesn’t make any sens—“
Before he could continue is blubbering, my pen was suddenly hovering above my paper… and then being hurled at his face.
The pen merely tapped his forehead before descending onto the table with a rather loud tap.
The weak action caused him to wear a blank and confused facial expression leading to me rolling my eyes.
“Hyun. Look. I’m not like the rest of the female body here at this school. Besides, remember when you and Chan set me up with him? He was two hours late, not to mention he spilled lasagna on me! The lasagna. Don’t even get me started on the fact that he has probably slept with all the girls around here AND their mothers!”.
At my mini rant, Baekhyun proceeded to give me the puppy eyes and practically jump onto the table, the only thing stopping him was the overwhelming amount of paper scattered on the dark wooden table.
“Look just don’t judge him too quickly, and he has definitely not slept with every girl here, you included. Besides be grateful, Chan and I did you a favor. We won you your very first date with someone who is actually remotely attractive. You could say we’re your fairy godmothers.”.
With that he picked up his bag and walked off, most likely going to find Chanyeol or Jongdae so that they could go gossip or weird out a bunch of girls in Sehun’s fan club.
f a n c l u b.
“What a dork. Fairy Godmothers. Tsk.” I whispered and rolled my eyes and checking the time in excitement, looking forward to when I could bippity-boppity-boo myself the hell out of this school.
“Jisoo! I’m home!” I quickly kicked the wooden door with my heel, resulting in the door swinging shut with a loud thud. The sudden bang from the strong force, causing me to flinch and take on an expression of grimace.
Before I could think too much more about the abrupt slamming of the apartment door, Jisoo quickly appeared from the little kitchen doorway.
“hey Y/N, mom and dad called. They asked about how you were and if you had any luck with finding your soulmate-” she shrugged and looked at you with a grin before continuing.”- I obviously said that you’re still lonely as ever because come on-”
Before she could continue I cut in with fake offense, “Obviously what?”
“Well I mean.. it’s just, we were referring to the person who refuses to date because of the lasagna disaster and decides to mope around eating ramen and watching Spongebob.”.
I shrugged in response, “You’re right. But I dont know if I should just refer to them as aunt and uncle.. I mean technically they aren’t my parents.”
Jisoo quickly shook her head, walking over and smacking the back of my head as if I had accidentally bought the wrong kind of pads and she would now resort to bleeding out on the carpet.
“Don’t be stupid. Mom and dad love you very much and besides where is this all coming from? You’ve been calling them your parents for the past 10 years, besides its not like you can even remember your parents Y/N. Anddd even though you’re my cousin, you’re like a sister to me so if you don’t stop with the nonsense, I’ll hit you with a spatula.”.
My mouth twitched up as she hurriedly walked back to the kitchen, most likely to attempt at baking again, which would just end up in an apartment of grey smoke and burnt cookies that could pass for decorative stones.
Sometimes I wish that I could remember who they were, what they did for a living.. what cheesy music they liked.. what type of parents they had been.. if only someone remembered.
“mummy? where’s dad? why are you crying?”
“Y/N. Dad’s alright he’s just.. busy. You have to get to school sweetheart, can’t be late for the last day of second grade! You have to go celebrate!” the woman responded with a fake cheerful tone, quickly wiping the salty drops from her red cheeks.
“Yeh! But can we get some lasagna on the way back?” young Y/N responded, oblivious to the fact that everything wasn’t okay.
“Sure, whatever you want.”
The mind of a 7 year old toddler who thought that the world was all sunshine and giggles, couldn’t detect that there was something wrong. Although, even if she could’ve sensed the eerie difference in  her mother’s mood and the heavy atmosphere, fate was already sealed like ink on paper.
The world was really twisted but just how twisted?
That day, Y/N sat at her regular bench waiting for mother to come and pick her up, seconds became minutes, minutes became hours, and without realizing it, it was already three hours after school ended.
The scratching of dead leaves, the ones that descended from the tall oak trees, on the grey pavement and the gusts of cool wind, like a supernatural howl, were all that kept Y/N company.
Although it didn’t seem like it, the world seemed to gift Y/N a present after taking away something that a person should never have to lose at such an age, her parents.
And so the silence was broken, replaced with heavy footsteps and a shocked voice. Replaced with someone that Y/N would grow up with, her oldest friend.
“Y/N? It’s nearly half passed five, why are you still here?”
Jisoo.
“I haven’t been picked up yet. Why are you still here Jisoo?”
“After school club, besides my mom is going to take me out to eat to celebrate my promotion. I’m going to middle school next year chump.”
Young Jisoo proceeded to ruffle the youngling’s hair
“My mom was supposed to take me to go eat today too.”
“oh, well you can come with us instead if your mom is busy.”
Jisoo sat herself next to Y/N on the bench, talking about nonsense until they could be picked up, neither of them knowing that the day would take a horrid turn and change Y/N’s life forever.
“What? What about Y/N? What about the family?”
Jisoo and I stopped laughing and turning to look at the woman with a quizzical expression.
She quickly walked to the kitchen, leaning against the marble counter, back facing the confused children.
Not understanding the seriousness of the situation, they decided to become spies and eavesdrop on the phone call.
They quickly ran to doorway of the kitchen, leaning on the wall and bringing their index finger up to their lips.
Peeking their head from behind the wall, they listened intently trying to make mean of the random words being spewed out frantically.
“Jiwoo? … didn’t my sister operate on him though?… didn’t make it? when?.. what about my sister?.. dead?.. Suicide?”.
Jisoo quickly realizing what was happening, pulled Y/N back to the living room and decided to try and crack some jokes, giving the child temporary happiness that would just fall flat the next morning.
Parents dead and nothing to go back to.
There was little to almost no time to mourn over a deceased friend or family member, when they would soon be wiped away, like they never existed.
And that’s what happened, Kim Jiwoo and Kim Minseo seemed as though they had never existed just a mere week later.
The world was cruel, the deceased didn’t have a face in the world, after someone dies their loved ones and friends and anyone they’ve ever met or interacted with seem to forget that they were ever in their lives.
One day they would wake up and all recollection of the person would be as good as nothing.
Photos and videos, all gone like magic.
In a universe like Y/N’s the world was a peculiar place, from soulmates to reincarnation.
Getting a chance to live twice with the same identity and soulmate although with a different life and no memories of ever being alive previously. It all seemed too good to be true, the thought of being able to just die and restart over and over again. But.. luck runs dry, after the second time around they would be forced to move on to an afterlife, one where you would have to be separated from your soulmate. An afterlife where nothing happened, wandering in endless fields of tall grass or rice plants, where every minute that passes could be years on Earth.
Life is just a long road trip with many bumps, where the destination is unknown and undesired.
Life is life. What can we do?
Nothing.
