I'm a bit late in talking about the update!
But!
Oh this is so interesting!!
Firstly, the effect of it all was so good! I feel like the previous update had everyone SO confused and then this one drops and it just CLICKS.
So the WHRP.. the Question-Answerer. They finally decided to try and talk to Wally! And they don't even care about explaining it or hiding it! They no longer care if We know. They might even know we know!
Anyways, they knocked on his door, gave him a call and BOY did he answer! Not only did he answer, but he sorta showed off!!
Some of them he did simply, such as writing Hello! And moving Barnaby!
But then he does this
And he even says "I didn't write it, I did something else"
The "Not only can I do this, but I can do more!" He is thinking creatively!
Wally is putting in the extra effort. Really not being subtle. He is so LOUD, basically screaming "Yes, this is me! I am here! I am the one doing this! Talk to me!"
But the instruction that makes me think the most is the SALLY one
I thought it meant to just flip the image! From left to right!
But! Wally has somehow conjured up an entirely NEW image! When you think about it, someone on the team drew or restored that image of Sally. Most likely, there was not a backside at all! Why would there need to be an illustration of that! Wally somehow made it happen! Very very interesting!
And then there is this, a little bonus, a little extra
Wally and Home. Sitting nicely together in the same... House?
I think most of us already think that there is a connection between the two of them. A deep connection.
Personally, I see the concept of Home as more of a general idea. Your Home, your upbringing, your family, your life! And what are you without these things? They made you who you are! If you were to separate yourself from the idea of Home, would you even know who you are?
And then there is the Eye. And it is under the same House. Wondering if this is saying "This and This are the same" "Wally and Home are both the Eyes" which feels like the more obvious statement.
But for me I see another connection. A Third. And it's You. The collective You. We are the audience, We are the Watchers and We have a connection to Wally through his eyes.
That connection is different and separated from the one between Wally and Home, but it is there! Under the same roof!

Ooh I honestly am so excited to see the WHRP's response to all of this! They have been answered! And so very obviously too!
Anyways! As usual, I pop in with my little thoughts! Clown and his team are always full of delightful surprises! I hope they get some well deserved rest and good treats!

So thinking again
On just the one line from the new WH commercial!
"Wally doesn't gab much anyways" -Howdy
So thoughts on this. Wally is the main character, you would think that he would talk the most out of everyone
perhaps he really is a surrogate for the audience
In which, i'd loooove to explore that concept
of the Reason that Wally is trying so desperately to reach us
Is that he IS us
He is so used to We , as the collective audience looking through his eyes into the world
being "puppeteered" by "Us"
that he simply doesnt know how to exist outside of that
He's used to not talking, not having to do much at all
Which is why he doesn't know much of anything!
Having to learn about his existence and who he is outside of what has been controlling him the entire time..
when he is literally a blank canvas… everyone else has a personality and interests and ways of behaving
and Wally … is just Wally..
These must be frustrating and lonely feelings for Wally
Which is why he wants Us back..
He wants to be back "inside of Us"
"Let me IN" as he says
it would maybe be easier to just ignore those feelings and allow yourself to be controlled again
Or perhaps this time, Wally will be the Puppeteer?

Welcome Home!
Welcome Home is about Love!
All kinds of love! It's about the Sun and the Moon!
And about the sense of Self as a person!
"As Above" and "So Below"
Are so beautiful!
They represent the two types of people in the world!
The Sun and The Moon
BUT
It isn't as simple as that, as we are complex beings!
Capable of being both, leaning to one side, or even eclipsing
I'll go into more detail, but in a very very short sense;
Suns tend to be uplifting! Energy! They tend to lift people up when they are down!!!
Moons tend to be calming! Tranquility! They tend to pull people gently down when they get carried away!!!
They are two Halves of the same Whole
A Yin and Yang of sorts
But they can be very very dangerous if unbalanced

BUT
I'm only going to be talking about the Sun for now.
or "As above" Because that is all we have seen so far!
Because Wally is the Sun, He is a sun, he is "As Above"
And so is everyone else! All of Wally's neighbors are Suns!
Because they are all a part of Wally!!
Pieces of his personality! They all represent different traits of the Sun!
Fun! Theatrical! Anxious! Humble! Charming! Funny! and Orderly!
(A Side note, that Frank is Wally's inner moon!!!)
Firstly, of course, there is Wally
and he is the center of everything, As Well as Home!!
Wally represents the Self, the love of the Self, and the balance of the Self.
Wally Is also Home, and YOU!! All three play a very important part!!
Wally is the Mind, the creativity, who is longing to learn and grow.
The mind is a funny thing and needs lots of care, or it may Spiral
Home is the Body. Where Wally Lives!! It speaks in its own special way! The Body also needs a great deal of care or it will Rot
You! You are the soul!! Right now, Wally is looking for You!
He is a bit separated at the moment and is searching within himself!
I might get back on this point after we see "So Below"
Because I believe You will have a part to play in there as well!
The Goo/Mold/Rot:
I believe this to be representing Obsession.
It could be for anything; Friends, Work, Hobbies, Love, etc.
You do need obsession! but not too much!
You can easily lose yourself if you have way too much, or not enough at all
If you have too much, it gets very easy to forget to take care of yourself
If you don't have any, then it would be very hard to live without having things to love!!!
But a lot of this is things we haven't seen Yet!!
Because we haven't seen "Down Below" yet
I think there will be 8 more neighbors down there (and a house)
and I think that's where we will meet The Moon!!!
I think that's where we will meet
Dolly
It would be funny if the center person we get to meet is named
Dolly, but i would be so feral if it was!!

Ok FOR REAL Theory Time!!!
Gonna be massive spoilers plus mention of bugs/fungus!
So I'm calling this the Mold Theory
And what is the Mold?
It's the black stuff under Home!
(Mold under a house is very suiting, right?)
The Mold has contaminated Every single thing that the Restoration team has found! The team talks about the envelopes, the antiques, and the artwork found for Welcome Home and how it is alwasys Wet and covered in Grime.
The stuff that is "Growing" all over the found items... Staff must wear gloves or they will get covered in it
You can see it all over the gloves, the Walls, and even the Website Itself! It's also been shown on the restored art prior to the update.
But one unfortunate person seems to have touched it.
and that is.. The Question Answerer!
(The head person of the Restoration team is also most likely infected)
Now what this Mold does is, It seems to have an effect of the person's mental state. Causing them to see and hear things, as well as having lucid nightmares and an overwhelming urge to draw spirals.
From the very moment of contact, it seems to have effect
"When I Unwrapped the first letter, I felt it. I heard it. Open Open Open. I want it out, I'm Going to get it Out"
Instant Hallucinations and Obsession!
Now I'm going to be Comparing this Mold to a Real fungus called Cordyceps, or the Zombie-Ant Fungus. It is a fungus that can control BUGS (familar themes right?) and take over their minds, forcing them to act unnaturally and wander far in order to spread itself!
~Similarily~ this Mold can take control of the Host's mind as well.
The "Spores" that it is trying to spread are the drawings of the spirals/eyes.
And the more eyes are Drawn, the more Wally can SEE.
Wally has made it truly apparent that he can see us through any rendition of his eyes.
"I've seen you every time you've looked into my eyes"
"I have more eyes than I did before, you know how to draw eyes
You draw mine, many times. I know it is thanks to you, Neighbor.. That I can see.. but it is still.. I can't see"
He is giving us instructions..
"You have work to do"
-Giving us instrustions on how to draw an eye...
"Please Open, Let me In"
Now I find this last instruction very funny
He doesn't say "Let me Out"
No... He says "Let me IN"
Into What? What are we Opening?
Our doors?Our EYES? our Mind? our Heart??
I think that could be exactly it!!!
Letting him.... into You!!! (The collective You)
Isn't that Funny? A Funny little thought?!
The Puppet becoming the Puppeteer!
ooh hee hee hoo hoo
I think I'm very clever about that!
But there are so many themes of Strings/Control/Scripts
That I simply couldn't help myself!
Now does that mean I think Wally is Evil? Absolutely NOT
I LOVE Wally, and hey, what's a bit of mind control between Neighbors? <333 I'll borrow a cup of sugar and you can borrow my sanity! That's what Neighbors are for! <3
Jokes aside, No I Do NOT think Wally is Evil!!
No, he might become a Puppeteer over the Real world...
(and It might be for good reason, to save his friends and himself)
but he is still very much a Puppet himself. Literally and Figuratively,
And the Real Mastermind behind the strings is... Home!
Afterall? Isn't that where the Mold is coming from?
From Down Below? Below Home?

I very much see Wally as the Lure of a very big Angler Fish..
The bait, the perfect little puppet that has captured our hearts and led us by the hand into Welcome Home.

Ok but also I have the cutest idea.
Wally makes a card for Home. Because he loves Home and he puts so much love into it.
And he goes outside and sees Eddie
"Hi Eddie, I have a letter for Mail-in-time's day"
But first he must put it in Home's mailbox and raise the little flag.
Eddie chuckles and gets his mail right away.
Looks at the letter, looks at Wally and looks at Home and promptly puts it back into the mailbox and lowers the little flag
"Easiest delivery I've had today!" And he goes on his merry way.
Wally then gets his mail and walks up to home.
"Home, you've got a letter today"
Home creaks happily.
"I will help you read it!"
Then Wally opens the letter and reads it out loud and shows home all the drawings he drew on the card.
"With love, Wally"
And home is practically weeping in whatever way a Home can cry
And I'm so normal about this and I love themmmmmm

I am awake! i am living! i am FERAL!
This litle update has me absolutely SPINNING
Firstly just allow me to say that everything is just oh so so CUTE
The costumes, the sprites, the 19 minute long audio, the COOKBOOK my beloved!!
But anyways, theory time!!
Well more like observations, thoughts and unhinged ramblings XD
Gonna put it Down Below:
Speaking of that. First observation is the wording of Down Below
We usually talk about waving up high! It is said so many times!
But now we finally have our official "As Above, So Below"
My first thought on this is the theme of a stage,
"As above the stage, down below the stage"
But I truly dont think we have enough information to make a connection quite yet
We know where "Down Below" is
I wonder where "As Above" is?
The second thing is the Wally Darling costume
And the Eyes
I realize now that the Eyes are actually just holes and showing whatever is underneath, BUT I still can't help thinking that this was intentional! Perhaps it's some sort of Code?
Afterall, his eyes are Black!
Now to get into the MEAT here:
Spoilers if you have not found the secret audio!
during the secret audio "Listen"
The bug found on the transcript
Wally stares directly at the "eddie" apple as he eats the apple on the plate (I also just wanted a screenshot of the "eyes" in the BG)
and now… now i have theories
hang on cause it involves the entire transcript that was said but not said in the transcript itself!
(In fact, it says this part is not there!! but it IS)
so i typed it out by ear
(also ayoo we have a narrator!!)
(also there is a lot of 4th wall breaking and quite a few neighbors seem to know that there is a show/that they are puppets)
(but anyways!)
ok but here is what is said in the story
It is because this town is rumored to have visitors at night… Something from deep within the forest, far beyond the hills and mountains… No one knows what it wants or where it’s going, just that it is persistent.. Just that it arrives here.
So many stories have risen about their origins… But I know what it is searching for.
it is looking for neighbors who have stayed up past the daytime, to gobble them up whole
that is why so few live here
it moves through the streets at night, but it doesnt break into Homes
However, on rare instances, it will find itself with an appetite unsatisfied by its aimless wanderings
even the occasional unfortunate insect that has crossed its path, is not enough
those who have lived through the nights say, it isn't quiet about it either
they always say you can hear when it gets closer to you
do you know what sound it makes?
I hear it, every night.
you can hear it too, if you listen
especially if you wait next to your window
First, there's rustling in the bushes
Then, the scratching on the pavement, and the walls.. as it crawls up
Finally, if you're quiet..
You can hear it's guttural sound
ok ok so there seems to be a theme going on here and the theme is Hunger
And also when the audio gets all garbled and skipping?
I feel like it is saying..."Frankly" over and over?
I could be overthinking, but it is what i hear!!
it almost feels like Wally.. can't control his hunger
he was supposed to be watching Barnaby's apple
Barnaby even says "Don’t worry though, kid, there’s plenty’a other eats here! What’re you feelin’ hungry for, Wally?"
and he is quick to draw attention away from wally, as he tends to do a LOT
barnaby seems to Know a LOT about Wally, and thats why he sort of has to be his babysitter?
I think that there could be a connection here
I think Wally was HUNGRY, he was absolutely STARVING
OR OR
Maybe something else was Hungry? Home?? Whatever the black goo/mold is?? If something is controling Wally?
His eyes are black, the Goo is black, the goo is coming from Home
But also also
[It sounds like Barnaby pats the camera.]
Going back to my theory of wally being the camera/ the audience surrogate/his eyes are cameras
This is fuel to my fire!!
Oh and also the Wally Costume add to the motif of You being able to see through Wally's eyes. Of You and Wally being connected through his Eyes!!
But at the end of the day, I think this update revolves around Eddie!
This little bug on the rock is Purple! Which we know is Eddie's Color!
And just that that doodle looks like the bug that leads to the secret Audio where Eddie's apple is brought to the screen..
Leads me to feel like something forboding is going on for our poor, dear sweet Mailman!
Which by the way, just another little Observation
But Sally doesnt seem enthused by the fact that Eddie is a fellow Arts lover? and she just calls him "Mailman" rather than an affectionate longname like she does with everybody else
But it does feel like Eddie is the Type to give his heart and soul to everyone, the shirt from his back, only for him to get left in the dirt
u_u I'm noticing a trend of him being the neighborhood punching bag
Eddie IS the mailman tho!
So it only makes sense that he is the one delivering the letters to the WHRP. He is not the one writing them, he's just the delivery guy!
But I think he could be being sent out at night
When everyone else is asleep
And I think something terrible may happen to him
It's very dangerous to go out at night
and This could be where Eddie is ripped in half/mangled
Wally fixes him of course!
(old theory but it does reference that)
So is Wally just using Eddie to serve whatever purpose he is after?
Eddie is a very compliant guy, he would do anything for anyone
and if he can be put back together, where is the harm?
I am starting to make connections!
Stringing together the pieces!
And once again, i'm getting the question of
"Is Wally Evil?"
And once again, I am answering with a solid "No"
Do I think that he could be slightly morally askew?
With the themes of "I must do what I need to do, no matter what happens" "I'm sorry, but this is how it must be" "The ends justifies the means"
Possibly, maybe. Especially if it is to save his Neighbors, his World, his Home.
Or, Just some of his actions are not his, he is a puppet afterall.
Anyways anyways, this has been a very very long and rambly tangent.
Hopefully there can be some sense made from this, I know that I can be a bit jumpy with my thoughts!!
But these are my inputs for now!!

I am thinking about these posts again
I think Eddie must have wandered too far from the neighborhood or went out at night. Both have been implied not to be safe.
But Wally found him and fixed him?
Or perhaps brought him to Home to be fixed
And That just leads me to my theory that Wally MADE all of his neighbors. (He did definitely create Barnaby)
He created them because he was lonely? Because the show ended?
Wally knows how to create life and to fix them. Its possible that he created the entire world, as he knows it. (An artist to the extreme!)
or recreated it perchance, Im leaning to that possibility
So here is my Theory: Welcome Home was a normal show, but then Wally began to gain sentience. Starting to act "off-script"
This spread to the other neighbors and they started to have "forbidden knowledge" as well.
I actually think Eddie was next. I think Wally sent him out with letters to try and figure out what was beyond their world. (The letters that he restoration team had found)
And by extension, Frank must be next, merely from being so close to Eddie.
But when the producers found strange happenings, they pulled the plug. Erasing Wally's world and everything he knew and loved.
But somehow he still remains. Recreating his world, His friends, and still trying to reach YOU.
I've just got a lot of thoughts on this whole thing. And i do actually have a theory folder full of images that i am putting through filters and trying to find secrets. i am on the trail!
