This might be an unpopular opinion but the only good thing that’s gonna come out of Ben’s exit is Jay will literally go back to being in the background and irrelevant which is needed.

I’ve hated him since Lola’s diagnosis, and the forced relationship between him and Lexi when he was barely bothered about her for years even when with Lola is wild. People might say he’s her “Dad” because of a legal agreement, but he’s literally made it clear numerous times now he’s only wanting Lexi to cling onto Lola and it’s not fair on her. He even told Ben she’d be all he has left of Lola, he was stopped from seeing her and he was only bothered about his promise to Lola, and even today it’s “haven’t I been through enough”. I’m actually begging them to keep Lexi with Callum, because he’s never ignored her or made anything about himself he does genuinely care about her. Ben isn’t a perfect Dad but him and Callum got her through loosing her Mum whilst Jay was busy doing drugs and sleeping with a prostitute.

I do have this fear when Max leaves, that they will make Ben just be an asshat and abandon Lexi which he would NEVER do.

Callum is kicked to the curb and Jay is suddenly Lexi's father figure and raising her.
