Ruin Me {Luke Patterson x OC}
Summary: Finley is Los Feliz High’s golden girl. Straight As, captain of the cheer squad and the dance team, dating the captain of the lacrosse team, and the pride and joy of her parents. But her childhood best friend and her have had an agreement since they were 16. No feelings, no strings, nobody knows. Especially not her boyfriend.
Warning: Smut.

Based on Lustra’s Scotty Doesn’t Know.
“Fuck, that was good.”
Finley rolled her eyes and pulled the sheets up to her chest, turning to face Luke as dropped down beside her, running a hand through his sweaty hair. He sat up on his elbow and smirked down at her, taking in her flushed face and messed up hair.
“You good?”
He held a fist out to her, and she rolled her eyes but smirked, and fist bumped him.
“Shut up.”
Luke pretended to bow to a non-existent audience, chuckling as he dropped back onto his pillow. Finley looked at the clock on the wall and sighed, sitting up with the sheet wrapped around her, and gathering her clothes from around the floor, where they’d been scattered earlier.
“You know, you really shouldn’t worry about covering up in front of me. I mean, the things you just let me do to you- why do you even bother?”
Pulling her shorts on, and frowning at her messed up hair, Finley rolled her eyes once again at her old best friend, and smoothed down her shirt.
“It’s the principle of it. We have sex, we finish, I leave. That’s how it is.”
Luke shrugged, and rested his hands behind his head, sitting up against his headboard.
She wasn’t wrong. This was how it had been since the start of their Junior year. Finley had been dating the lacrosse team captain for 4 months, but he’d made it very clear he wanted to wait a while before doing the deed. Being the respectful and loving girlfriend she was- she’d turned to her best friend. Luke Patterson, notorious for breaking hearts at Los Feliz high, was more than happy to help her out, coming up with an arrangement that meant he got an easy fuck, and she got her needs satisfied. There were no feelings whatsoever between the two of them, and they didn’t speak outside of making plans and seeing them through. Cheating on Scott wasn’t easy- but she told herself it was just temporary, and it was better than letting their relationship suffer because she felt neglected. God knows she’d helped Scott enough times, simply by walking around his bedroom in a sports bra, or making out with him for an hour. He was a nice boy, destined for college, who came from a nice family and a nice church. A church that she’d attended with him quite a few times. He was too nice, sometimes.
Luke was the polar opposite of Scott. 17, in a rockband, on the brink of dropping out of school, and swearing off God since age 12. They’d been best friends all through middle school, but that all changed when they reached high school, and Finley had started to rise through the social ranks, quickly earning queen bee status. Now, as captain of both the dance team and the cheer team, she was expected to behave herself. Walking to class hand in hand with her golden boy boyfriend, pass all of her classes, attend cheer practice, coach the dance team, go home and study. Cheer at Scott’s game on Fridays after school, get a milkshake with him at the diner afterwards. Spend Saturdays at cheer practice for a few hours, then heading straight to her best friend Sasha’s house for a study session, before having dinner with her entire family. Sunday’s were her favourite though. She’d wake up early, dress simply, and drive to the other side of town. She’d tell her parents she was going to see Scott, tell Scott she was going to church, and tell Sasha she was going to the gym. In her defense, she was working out. Just not quite the way her best friend thought.
Monday saw the Los Feliz 1995 Junior prom queen walking through the halls, high ponytail secured with a bright blue scrunchie, cheer skirt perfectly pressed, and trainers so white they looked new. The walls were papered with posters about the upcoming dance, the theme having been decided by her and a few of the girls from dance. A romantic weekend in Paris, they’d decided, with roses decorating the tables, and a colour theme of red and white. Hopefully it wouldn’t clash too much with the Valentine’s dance, the theme for which was still to be confirmed, despite it’s arrival in less than a month. There were a lot of dances at Los Feliz, thanks to the musical and dancing talent in their school. Luke’s band was playing the next homecoming dance, after Finley put a good word in for them, feeling like she owed Luke something. She didn’t know how it didn’t eat away at him, sleeping with someone elses girlfriend. But then she caught sight of him leaning over Jessie Wilson, a Junior who’d recently joined the dance team, and was reminded once again, that Luke was the definition of a player. Finley wrinkled her nose as Luke pushed a strand of hair off of Jessie’s face, the younger girl nearly melting into a puddle at Luke’s feet. Luke noticed her watching, and sent her a wink, making her scowl, as she tried to subdue the blush creeping up her cheeks.
“Hey babe, you alright?”
Finley smiled up at her suddenly appeared boyfriend, and pressed a kiss to his cheek, pushing all thoughts of Luke in the janitor’s closet out of her mind.
“I’m fine, just thinking about the routine for Friday’s game. Are we still on for milkshakes?” She smiled sweetly, intertwining their fingers. Scott shrugged and ran his free hand through his sandy curls, his eyes fixed on something in the distance.
“Yeah, sure.”
He started walking towards the english room, tugging her gently alongside him.
“I was gonna ask you- do you fancy coming to my church with me on Sunday? My pastor wants to see you again, and speak to you about running that cheer camp I mentioned?”
Finley’s eyes widened, and she cleared her throat.
“I wish I could, but I told my pastor I’d stay behind after the service and help with the kids... I’m so sorry.”
Finley smiled apologetically, but was surprised when Scott flashed her an adoring grin, reaching out a hand to brush a strand of hair off her face as they reached her class.
“Don’t worry about it- that’s incredible. You’re incredible. I don’t know how you find the time for all of these things. How’d I get so lucky?”
He leant down and pressed a kiss to her temple, before waving goodbye as he headed to the science labs. Finley laughed half-heartedly as she waved back, turning and walking into english with a quiet groan.
Maths was next period, but as Finley sat down in her desk, someone appeared on her shoulders, his musky aftershave identifying him before he could speak.
“Don’t touch me, Lucas.”
Finley shrugged her shoulders, forcing him to sit back in his seat, the desk behind hers.
“Funny, that’s not what you were saying yesterday.”
He was muttering, but Finley caught it, spinning round to glare at him as he chuckled.
“Not funny. Someone might hear you!”
She glanced around her fearfully, shooting a convincing smile at the group of cheerleaders towards the back, before dropping it and continuing her glare.
“Relax, you don’t have to be golden girl all the time you know. No-one cares if you drop the act for once in your life.”
Finley groaned, and turned back around, making sure her ponytail flicked him in the face as she did so.
“Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten what it feels like.”
His voice was soft in her ear, and she closed her eyes as his fingers ran through a handful, begging the memories of many previous Sundays to stop playing through her mind.
“Hey Finley, what’s up?”
Sasha’s arrival saw Finley lean forward, forcing Luke to remove his hands from her hair, watching her with a smirk as she spoke to her best friend.
“Hey Sash, I’m good. How was your weekend? Sorry I missed your call on Sunday, I was at church.”
Sasha winked at her, and giggled.
“You’re still telling him you go to church on a Sunday? Poor boy, if only he knew.”
Finley laughed nervously and drummed her pen on the desk, twirling her ponytail around a finger. Luke’s ears perked up at this; had Finley told Sasha what was going on between them? Finley laughed alongside her friend, the nervous tone in it only picked up by the carefully listening rockstar wannabe, who knew her inside out. Literally.
“Of course. Honestly, don’t know how he believes me. He thinks this body comes from just cheer and dance? No, it’s the 4 hour weight session with Charlie every Sunday. I’ll tell him one day, but for now, I’ve got to keep in shape.”
Finley ran her hands down her sides at this, and arched her back slightly, knowing Luke’s eyes would be on her. They were, and he smirked at her action, kicking the leg of her chair gently so she knew.
“Of course, got to keep him interested. And, of course, there’s the matter of homecoming.”
Sasha winked at Finley, who blushed and looked at her desk, silently praying Luke had stopped listening for some reason.
“Yeah, duh.”
Saved by the appearance of their math teacher, Finley sighed with relief and pulled out her textbook. Luke diverted his attention out the window, his mind drifting to what could possibly be happening at next Friday’s homecoming that he’d missed.
*
The week passed in a flash, with Finley avoiding Luke at all costs. They reached Friday morning not having spoken since Monday, when Luke finally cornered her in the hallway after lunch, while everyone else was in class.
“Luke. Hey.”
She blinked up at him, towering over her lithe frame as she leaned against her locker.
“Fin. You still on for Sunday?” Finley looked around her fearfully, pushing him lightly in the chest once she was satisfied the corridor was empty.
“Shut up. Yeah, same as always.”
Luke narrowed his eyes at her, leaning in close so she could feel his breath on her face. He was hardly an inch away, his cocky smirk almost pressed up against her lips.
“Luke-” He reached his thumb up and pulled her bottom lip down lightly, his eyes growing dark and hungry, before laughing and walking away, shoving his hands deep in his pockets. Finley groaned and brushed down her clothes, willing away the fierce blush that had appeared on her cheeks. That boy was going to be the death of her.
*
“Game night, wooo! Favourite night of the week. I get to rock the field, and then spend time with my perfect girl.”
Finley smiled weakly at her over excited boyfriend, his lacrosse uniform on, leaning against the wall as he watched her paint careful blue swirls on her face.
“Yeah, should be great. You’ll be awesome.”
She pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek, checking her uniform in the mirror one more time. White and blue uniform, blue bow tied around her ponytail, blue face paint swirling on her cheekbones. The epitome of bobcat spirit in a couple stood in front of her, and she found herself wondering for the 1000th time that week, why she wasn’t perfectly content. Scott was so sweet, and he cared about her. She’d met his family, and they all adored her, she’d met his pastor, who’d also loved her. They were perfect for each other. But why wasn’t it enough for her? Banishing those thoughts from her mind, she plastered a smile on, and cracked her knuckles. Time to win a game, and show the school why she deserved to be queen bee.
The bleachers were filled with a sea of blue and silver, signs held high above the Los Feliz students’ heads, Bobcat posters lining the walls of the field. Finley was dancing around in front of the bleachers, cheering for the bobcat team as they scored yet again, doing a handspring before jumping on Sasha’s back and running around yelling happily. She loved cheering, always had done since she had joined the squad in her Freshman year. The other girls were chanting, clapping and jumping on the sidelines, watching with wide grins as their captain and vice ran round the bleachers, now on opposite sides. Sasha gave Finley a look, who returned it with a nod, before launching into a complex tumbling routine simultaneously. Pairing a triple back handspring with a full twist and a back somersault, she landed it with a proud smile, panting slightly. Sasha, now directly opposite her, bowed to the screaming students, and ran over, wrapping an arm round her best friends’ waist.
“I knew we could do that. That had to look sick.”
Finley nodded, walking into the group of Bobcat cheerleaders and organizing them into place for stunts. With the base group formed up, Finley watched carefully as Sasha was tossed up in the air, alongside Leila. With Finley as their captain, and the smallest on the team, it made sense for her to be top flyer. Taking a deep breath, she broke into a run, before throwing a back handspring and feeling herself getting caught by girls at the front, who boosted her to Sasha and Leila, who pulled her up onto their hands. Three tier pyramid, her foot firmly lodged in Sasha and Leila’s hands, her arms high above her head. She beamed as she looked around the bleachers, knowing she’d impressed everyone. It had been a long time since someone had managed to get the bobcat cheer team in as good a place as Finley had it. She was talented, and being the kind of person she was, it wasn’t difficult to get people to listen to her. But her pride was short lived. Someone slipped beneath her, and she cursed quietly under her breath, tensing her entire body. Sasha stumbled, letting go of Finley, who’s entire weight was now on Leila, who was far too small to handle her on her own. Finley groaned and threw herself backwards, tucking into a ball and hoping for the best. She’d landed back somersaults from that height before, but without a steady base, she had no idea where this would go. She did land it, but a sickening crunch as she did so made her fall to the floor in agony, clutching her ankle and yelping. The first person to her side was Sasha, who was blurting out apologies through tears, pulling her into an awkward hug, while Finley rolled her eyes and tried to calm her through gritted teeth.
“It’s okay Sash. Can you go get ice or something?”
Sasha nodded and ran off, and Finley peered at her ankle. It seemed fine, maybe a little twisted, but not broken. Movement out of the corner of her eye made her look up, and she caught sight of Luke, leaning against the side of the bleachers, his eyes trained on her. He looked... worried? Finley didn’t have time to contemplate this, as she felt someone wrap their arms around her, and carry her over to the side, resting her against the bench.
“Hey babe, are you alright? That was a nasty fall.”
Scott stroked her face gently, his face red and his hair plastered to his forehead with sweat.
“I’m alright Scotty. Go win this game for me, okay?” Scott nodded and pressed a kiss to her cheek, before running off.
“Scotty? Really? God you two are sickening.”
Finley rolled her eyes at Luke’s tone, rubbing her leg.
“What do you want, Patterson? I’m a bit busy, if you hadn’t noticed.”
Luke nodded and knelt down, holding up an ice pack.
“Shut up and let me help you.”
Finley snapped her lips shut and winced as Luke pressed the ice to her ankle, holding it in place with surprisingly gentle fingers.
“That was stupid. You knew you might fall.”
He sounded bored, but there was a hint of concern in his voice that Finley hadn’t expected to hear.
“I was fine. I’ve done it a million times before- Sasha just slipped.”
Luke snorted, and adjusted the way he was kneeling.
“Yeah well Sasha just slipping, nearly had you landing on your head. Get some better cheerleaders, won’t you? Half of them aren’t even hot- swear that’s literally the whole point of you guys.”
Finley resisted the urge to smack him, and took a deep breath.
“They’re good. And don’t be so degrading. Girls shouldn’t be valued based on how they look.”
Luke met her eyes with a judgy look, laughing softly.
“Relax, sweetheart. I wasn’t insulting you. You’re as sexy as ever.”
He trailed a hand up her leg lightly, causing her to tilt her head back with her eyes closed as he reached the hem of her skirt.
“Luke.” He took his hand back and smirked.
“Finley.”
Looking around them, and checking the scoreboard, Finley grabbed his shoulder.
“Where’s your car?”
Luke raised his eyebrows, but helped her stand up.
“Seriously? Okay, whatever. This way.”
He wrapped an arm around her waist and helped her towards the school, waving at the coach and a few of the cheerleaders.
“We’re going to get more ice for her foot, we’ll be back in a bit.”
They hardly noticed, waving them off without a second thought. As soon as they were in the school, Luke had Finley up against the lockers, his hand going straight between her legs and stroking her through her shorts. Finley gasped as his lips found hers, desperate and forceful, searching for more. She wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned into his mouth, tilting her head back as he moved his mouth down her neck, biting and sucking gently at the fair skin. Finley groaned and pushed him off her, starting to limp down the corridor. Luke followed her, wrapping a hand around her throat from behind, and slamming her up against the lockers.
“Don’t fucking move. I’m not done.”
His hand returned to her core, the gentle movements of his fingers torturous, even through the material of her shorts. He chuckled when she moaned, and held her throat tighter, watching the skin around his rings turn white as the cool metal bit into her skin.
“This is fun.”
His voice was low and husky in her ear, the sensation of his breath on her skin causing the hair on the back of her neck to stand up, and sending a shiver down her spine.
“Car. Now. Please.”
Luke smirked and let her go, resting one hand on her waist as they walked along the corridor, their pace quick and determined. When they reached the battered red truck, Luke unlocked it and pulled the seat forward, helping Finley climb in, and clambering in after her. Her hands were on him as soon as he sat down, straddling his lap and pushing his jacket off his shoulders as she connected their lips again. Luke smirked into the kiss, sliding his tongue along her lower lip, and deepening the kiss when she moaned.
“You’re so needy. I love it.”
Finley rolled her eyes, and sat up.
“Stop talking. Seriously. It makes you like, way less attractive.”
Luke rubbed his hands up and down her sides, his eyes growing dark as he admired her.
“So you think I’m attractive? Good to know.”
Finley groaned and rolled her hips into his, desperate for some kind of relief, but also wanting to distract him.
“We’ve been doing this too long for your dumb jokes, Lucas. Hurry up.”
Luke snickered and put his hand on the back of her neck, dragging her down to his lips again.
“Yeah yeah, whatever.”
They continued making out in the back of Luke’s truck, only breaking apart for Luke to pull his shirt off, before starting again, the heat of the kiss gradually increasing. Their teeth were clashing, tongues sliding against one another, nipping at each others lips. It was impossible to tell where Luke ended and Finley begun. Luke’s hands moved to the hem of Finley’s cheer top, sliding it up and over her head, releasing her ponytail at the same time.
“That bow’s so fucking stupid.”
Finley rolled her eyes and pressed their bare chests together, moaning at the warm contact. Luke’s hands moved to her hips, throwing his head back against the seats as she ground down on him.
“Fuck, Fin. Get that off.”
He tugged on the waistband of her skirt, and she smirked, moving off him to slip it down her legs, leaving her in just her underwear. She straddled him once more and moved her hands to his belt, while he kissed her chest, leaving marks along her collarbones, making sure they’d be concealed by her clothes. Finley was struggling with his fly, when she tilted her head back, distracted by the feeling of Luke’s mouth on her nipple, his tongue flicking over it while his other hand kneaded her breast. He looked up and met her eyes, his pupils dilated and eyes hungry. The smirk that he adorned when he noticed how turned on she was made everything worse, and Finley returned her attention to his fly, pulling it down and groaning with relief.
“God, I hate jeans.”
Luke grinned and shuffled down, letting his jeans rest around his ankles before pulling her into his chest, slipping his hand between her legs as he kissed her.
“Shit you’re wet.”
He moved his hand from her, and stroked himself, pulling her towards him. Finley hesitated, rubbing his bottom lip with her thumb.
“Do you have-”
Luke groaned impatiently and reached for his jacket, sitting on the seat beside him. Finley snatched the wrapper from him, tearing it with her teeth, and rolling her eyes at the look on his face. One of his hands was trailing up and down her bare spine, the other gripping her hip so tightly she was sure it would bruise. It would, she knew that. He was bad for leaving bruises on her- but she loved it.
He jumped as she wrapped a hand around his cock, sliding the condom over it, before returning her hands to his hair, pulling their lips back together. Luke lifted her up slightly, groaning as she sunk down onto him slowly, letting out her own delicious moans at the feeling of him inside her. She rested her head on his shoulder for a moment, before rolling her hips into him, and letting out a high pitched gasp. Luke’s own groan was desperate, and he silently pleaded with her, his hands gripping at her ass. She gave a slight nod, and he moaned with relief, bucking his hips into her once, and grinning as she threw her head back with the pleasure, her mouth open and hair framing her face.
She was breathtaking, and Luke brought his lips to her neck, biting at the spots he knew would drive her crazy, while he picked up a steady pace, pushing her ass down onto him as she rocked her hips in time with his thrusts. Finley pulled at his hair, her eyes closed in bliss, cheeks pink and lips red, bruised from his constant attacks on them. Luke’s thrusts were getting faster, and less careful, and Finley could already feel the familiar knot in her stomach forming, heat pooling in her lower abdomen.
“Fin-”
Finley leaned forward, resting their foreheads together.
“Yeah, I’m with you.”
One of Luke’s hands made it’s way up to her hair, yanking her head back as he sucked on the sensitive skin below her collarbone. He let her go, grinning at the weak look she gave him. In that moment, he knew she’d do anything for him. But he was getting dangerously close to the edge, and Luke wasn’t one to leave a lady hanging, so he brought his hand down in between them, his thumb circling her clit gently. She moaned desperately and fell forward, her breathy moans echoing through Luke’s head as she sucked on his earlobe.
“Fuck-”
Luke groaned and bit down on her shoulder as he came, feeling Finley’s walls clench around him as she followed right after him. Chests heaving and skin flushed, they stayed like that for a few minutes, Luke’s hand drawing circles on Finley’s bare skin. She closed her eyes, basking in the afterglow of their quickie, breathing in Luke’s distinctive scent. Her mind drifted to all of the Sunday afternoons she’d spent wrapped in his strong arms, and she heard a question nagging in the back of her mind. Why did she always feel so safe with him?
“We should probably get back.”
He nodded at her soft voice in his ear, and groaned quietly as she lifted herself off of his lap, watching as she collapsed onto the seat beside him and reached for her clothes. Luke pulled off the condom and dropped it into a bag of trash, before dragging his jeans back up his legs, and fastening his belt. They were good at dressing themselves quickly- They’d started sneaking around when they were 16, and now nearly 2 years and lots of quickies later- it was like second nature to them both. However, Luke thought to himself, it had been a while since Finley had dragged him away from a public setting like that. In fact, it had been a while since they’d met up anywhere other than his house on Sundays.
They’d stuck to a very strict schedule throughout their senior year, with Finley being terrified of getting caught and only wanting to see him at weekends. He couldn’t help but wonder why she’d dragged him off. It wasn’t like her at all- she hadn’t done it since summer after junior year, when they’d spent the majority of afternoons either in his truck, or in the back of empty movie theaters. She couldn’t get enough of him that summer. But then when they’d gone back to school, it had been back to once a week, no eye contact in the corridors, treating him like he was scum.
Luke pulled his shirt over his head and watched as she climbed over him, jumping out of the truck, and checking her ponytail one last time in the wing mirror before running across the car park. She stopped a few meters later, and turned back, waving awkwardly. Luke rolled his eyes and waved back, before switching to the front seat. Looked like her ankle was just fine now.
Finley went for milkshakes with Scott after the game, some of her cheer friends and his lacrosse buddies tagging along for the ride. She’d gone to the bathroom before going back to the field, doing a quick once over herself to check there were no visible reminders of her encounter with Luke. On Sundays he tended to be a bit more careful, making sure only to mark her in places that her uniform would cover, but clearly the backseat of his truck, in the dark, meant the same rules did not apply. Just above the collar of her cheer top, a trail of deep purple marks were clearly scattered across her collarbones, and so she had to run to her locker and pull on one of Scott’s hoodies, before legging it out onto the field for the final 5 minutes.
Scott scored three goals in the time she watched for, and when he came running up to her afterwards, he’d scooped her up and spun her round, kissing her for the entire field to watch. Finley had been semi-grateful for that. While it made her stomach churn and her mind race with guilty thoughts, it also explained her flushed appearance and slightly messed up hair. But as they were getting milkshakes, Finley found her mind drifting further and further away from the homecoming dress choices that her friends were discussing, and not even Scott’s hand on her hip could keep her focused on what she needed to be thinking about. Which was definitely not the dark-haired guitarist who constantly reminded her she’d never get enough of him.
In fact, said guitarist was sitting in his studio with his bandmates, poring over a chord progression he’d had written for weeks.
“I just can’t work out what lyrics will go, you know? I don’t have anywhere to pull them from right now.”
Luke shrugged at his bandmates, who sighed hopelessly. They’d all hoped to have something new for the dance, something that would show the senior class of ‘95 that Sunset Curve were the band to watch. But Luke had nothing. He was content. He had great friends, the band was doing well, and besides the occasional fall out with his parents, nothing was too difficult at home either. Not to mention he was regularly fucking the hottest girl at school.
“Dude, you need to work out something. Otherwise we’re gonna have to turn to Reggie. And we really can’t do that.”
Luke groaned and threw his pencil across the room. He never thought he’d be asking for something to go wrong in his life.
“I’ll have it by Friday, don’t worry. I’ll work something out.”
Alex sighed with relief and clapped him on the shoulder, before heading over to his drums and taking his seat, flipping his hair off his face.
“Until then, let’s practice what we do got. Ready?”
Luke nodded and grabbed his guitar, pushing all thoughts of new songs to the back of his mind. He’d find inspiration at some point, he was sure.
*
After yet another long winded argument with her parents about college, Finley climbed behind the wheel of her car and groaned. They were adamant she’d be going to Stanford or USC- and while she had the grades, that’s not where Finley wanted to be. She loved LA, and she loved California, there was no doubt about it. Waking up to the sun every morning, and always being within driving distance of the beach was a definite plus- but her heart was set on Boston.
They’d visited the city last summer, to spend time with family, and Finley had fallen in love. She adored everything about it. It was busy and beautiful, the buildings historic, the people friendly. Not to mention it’s top rated universities. You’d think that having two parents with PHDs would mean being pushed towards Harvard- but not in her case. They were adamant she was to stay on the west coast, within a couple hours drive of them. They were unmoving on the topic, unwilling to listen to Finley’s reasoning, or even her aunts’ arguments, who had both phoned and fought her corner over the past few weeks.
She pulled up on Luke’s street, parking a few houses down just in case someone they knew should walk past and recognise her car, before walking up to the bungalow, taking a moment to check Mitch’s car was gone. Satisfied, she unlocked the back gate and made her way round to the garden, where unsurprisingly, Luke was sitting, strumming away on his guitar with a worried expression.
“Hey Patterson. What you up to?”
Luke looked up at her voice, and the worried expression fell away as he set down his guitar.
“Nothing much. Trying to work out some new stuff for the dance. How you doing?”
Finley shrugged, dropping into the seat next to him and chucking her keys on the table in between them.
“As good as I can be.”
Luke frowned and examined her face. There were tired circles under her eyes, and she looked drained.
“Fin, you good?”
She glanced up at him and noticed his eyes trained on her.
“Yeah, of course. Just the parents being dicks as always.”
He leant forward in his chair and rested his elbows on his knees.
“Want to talk about it?”
She shrugged again, frowning and fiddling with the fraying hems of her shorts. Luke would understand, she told herself. Emily and Mitch have been discouraging him from the band from day one, he knows how it felt to have your dreams sat on by your parents. The thoughts in her head encouraged her to open up, and try as she might, she couldn’t disagree with them.
“College stuff. I want to go to Boston, they want me to stay in Cali. It’s just... I dunno. They don’t get it.”
Luke nodded and leaned back, looking into the leaves of the large oak tree that sat in his back garden, casting shade over most of the little house. Finley felt herself relax, and started to spill her guts, sick of being alone with her thinking.
“I love Boston. I love the city, the people, the schools. It’s Harvard, god dammit, how can I turn that down? And my little cousins, I never get to see them, but I want to watch them grow up so badly. It’s just all so unfair. They want me to do what they want me to do, not what I want me to do.”
She groaned in frustration and let her hair out of its ponytail, toying with the scrunchie in her hands.
“Parents are like that. I think a lot of the time they try and live vicariously through their kids, you know?” Finley raised her eyebrows at Luke, a light smirk appearing.
“Woah, that’s a big word Patterson. Careful, people might think you’re smart.”
He rolled his eyes at her, and chuckled slightly, running a hand through his hair. Finley noticed the way the muscles in his arms moved when he did so, and bit her lip slightly.
“You know what I mean. Your parents always regretted leaving the move to LA so late. They wanted to grow up here and go to school here, but they didn’t get the chance to, so they’re trying to get you to do it. It makes sense. It sucks, but it makes sense.”
Finley nodded slightly, continuing to pick at her shorts. She sometimes forgot that Luke had been her best friend before all this. They’d become best friends when she moved to Los Angeles, on her first day at Los Feliz middle school. Both of them had been put into the performing arts programme immediately, her for dancing, and him for singing. He’d picked up a guitar on their first day, and had fallen in love with it instantly. She still remembered the look of awe on his face as he strummed the strings awkwardly. Finley smiled at the memory and stretched her arms above her head, shaking all negative thoughts from her mind.
“So, what’s worst with you then?” Luke groaned and glared at his guitar.
“The boys want a new song for Friday. Something that really makes Sunset Curve stick in everyone’s minds. But I got nothing to write about. No inspiration. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.”
He flopped against the back of his seat as he finished speaking, holding a hand over his eyes dramatically. Finley smirked and stood up, beginning to stroll towards the house, slipping her shoes off as she reached the back door. Luke watched her go through his fingers, raising his eyebrows at her as she stopped and looked back at him.
“Well do you want me to give you something to write about or not? Get over here.”
Luke grinned and jumped up, chasing after her as she ran into the corridor and up the stairs, only making it to the landing before he caught her round the waist and she started shrieking. He picked her up and spun her round, pushing her up against the wall gently. Both were panting through their smiles, a pretty blush dusted over Finley’s cheeks. She grinned down at Luke, reaching a hand up to run it through his hair, and cupping his cheek gently. He leaned into her touch, his eyes fluttering closed as he felt his heart rate slow slightly. They lived for their Sundays together, when they could forget about everything and everyone, and just be exactly who they wanted to be. It was going to be weird when she left for college, he thought.
I’m going to lose him forever, she remembered.
Her thumb stilled against his cheek, and Luke opened his eyes, finding her bright blue irises darkened with lust, and heavy with want. He didn’t get a chance to notice the traces of fear in them before she crashed their lips together. Her hands slipped around his neck to pull at his hair, and he let his hands wander underneath her, pulling her off the wall and stumbling towards his bedroom. He kicked the door open, pulling away from her for a moment as he avoided his dresser, dropping her on the bed.
“Get your clothes off. Now.”
Finley grinned and obliged, tossing her shorts and t-shirt in a heap next to his bed. Luke unbuckled his belt, and pulled his shirt over his head, dropping it on top of her clothes, before climbing over the top of her, and rejoining their lips. Hands automatically moving to his hair, Finley tugged softly as she parted her lips and let him explore her mouth with his tongue. He rolled his hips into her gently, smirking against her mouth as she whined and bucked towards him, desperate for more contact.
“Easy tiger, we’ve got all day, remember?”
Finley bit his bottom lip in response, dragging him back down to her and hooking her legs around his waist, pushing his jeans down with her feet. She raked her nails along his back, feeling a shiver run down her spine as he groaned in her ear, and gasped when he pressed his hips into her, feeling his cock pressed against her stomach through his boxers.
“Stop teasing.”
He snorted and rocked his hips into her again, watching her face carefully as her eyes rolled back in her head.
“But it’s so fun.”
His voice came out as a whisper, laced with teasing and a hint of feigned innocence. Finley let out an exasperated sigh, and lifted her head to meet his lips, kissing him with a new fire. Luke gave in, and drifted a hand down in between them, stroking her through the material of her underwear. He circled her clit through the soft cotton with his thumb, smirking at the pained gasp she let out at the sudden contact.
“Luke.”
He rolled his eyes, but decided to be nice, pushing the material to one side and slipping a finger inside, shortly joined by a second one. The moans that tumbled from her lips as he moved his fingers inside her were delicious, and went straight to his cock. He curled them against her expertly, drawing out desperate sighs and moans as he hit all of the spots he’d memorised so long ago.
Finley writhed on the bed beneath him, her bottom lip caught between her teeth. Luke breathed heavily through his nose, searching desperately for some restraint as he watched her arch into him continuously, the most incredible noises leaving her lips.
“Luke, I need you. Please.” He groaned loudly and nodded, gripping her hip with strong fingers. He smirked at the deep red marks left behind, knowing it would take a few days for the evidence of him to leave her body.
Luke smacked her thigh gently, pulling his boxers down his thighs. She looked up at him expectantly, desperation radiating off her face.
“Turn round.” Finley’s eyes lit up as she realised what he meant, and she shuffled around on his bed until she was on her knees, the warmth of his skin heating the back of her thighs. It disappeared for a moment, and she frowned, but was soon panting ecstatically as his tongue drew pictures over her slit. She felt his thumb rubbing at her clit and moaned, burying her face in his pillows. Almost as soon as her skin hit the soft cotton, her head was yanked up by her hair, sparks flying down her spine and straight to her clit.
“Uh uh. Let me hear you. Let me hear how good I make you feel.” Finley whimpered and arched her back as far as she could- which being a dancer, was fairly impressive. Luke watched with appreciative eyes, his hands massaging her ass. He smacked it gently, smirking at the moan she let out as their skin connected.
“You ready?” Finley groaned and shook her hips slightly, Luke chuckling as her ass jiggled impatiently.
“Take that as a yes.” Luke put a hand on his cock, stroking it a few times as he stared at Finley spread out in front of him. He knew he was the only one to have seen her like this; panting and moaning for him desperately, her pussy dripping with excitement. Her usually perfect blonde hair was splayed across his bed, messy and tousled from his relentless grabbing. He guided the head of his cock to her entrance, grimacing as she let out a high-pitched moan at the feeling of him entering her. She couldn’t sing, he knew that- but by god, the noises that came out of her were beautiful.
Bottoming out, Luke took a deep breath as he focused on Finley’s back. Toned and perfect, he couldn’t help but run a hand down her spine lightly, smiling at her appreciative moan. It took only a moment before she was pushing back against him, begging him to move. He obliged, slamming into her harshly as their moans filled the room around them.
“Fuck baby. You feel good today.” Finley moaned in response, meeting him thrust for thrust. Her arms were stretched out in front of her, gripping his bedsheets tightly. She looked completely wanton, her mouth open and gasping, fists clenching at the sheets with every move Luke made.
“Harder, Luke, please.” Luke grinned and put both of his hands on her hips, steadying her as he thrust into her at a bruising pace, his own chest tightening as he watched his cock disappear inside her over and over again.
“Shit Luke, just like that. Fucking hell, I’m so close. Shit, shit, shit.” “Who knew you had such a dirty mouth on you?” Finley looked back at him with dangerous eyes, trying hard to keep her cool as Luke continued his pace.
“You have no idea how dirty my mouth is.” He smirked and grabbed a handful of her hair, yanking it harshly. She whimpered, but the way her mouth fell open told her he loved it.
“I do. But why don’t you give me a reminder?” Luke let go of her hair and let her fall back into the pillows, slamming into her a few more times before pulling out and flipping her over. She crawled up the bed as quickly as she could, lying on her front and taking Luke’s cock in her mouth. Her tongue circled his tip expertly and he grabbed her hair, pushing her head as much as he dared. She took it like a champ, deep throating him through moans as her hips ground against the bed. Luke started panting himself, feeling his balls tighten as the ridiculously sexy girl continued to suck him off, her moans getting more intense as he got closer to coming.
“Just like that Fin. God you’re so good. Keep going. Love that pretty little mouth of yours.”
Finley moaned around his cock, and Luke groaned, resisting the urge to ram his cock right down her throat and come right there and then. Alas, his efforts were useless, and he fisted her hair desperately as he felt himself explode.
“I’m cumming. Jesus fuck, Fin. Don’t stop.”
He groaned loudly as his load flooded her mouth, her instant swallowing not going amiss. She continued to suck him gently for a few moments, before letting him slip out of her mouth, grinning up at him. He panted and dropped onto his heels, staring at her in wonder.
“Okay, yeah, reminder needed.” Finley tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear, smiling shyly as she looked up at him. Luke’s hand cupped her face, his thumb swiping over her lips gently. His eyes were dark and wild, cheeks a shade of red that only Finley could cause.
With only a few hours until Luke’s parents would be home, Finley shuffled back up the bed, spreading her legs with a devilish smile. Her hands dipped in between them, soft moans leaving her lips as she played with herself, on full display for Luke’s eyes. He groaned and fell on top of her, connecting their lips in a hurried kiss, his hands wandering over every inch of skin he could reach.
He wasn’t about to let their Sunday go to waste.
--
“Have you picked it up from the tailors yet?”
Finley nodded at Sasha, grinning like an idiot. They’d been discussing the upcoming homecoming dance for the past 3 periods, ignoring everything that their teachers said. It was expected, the heads of the dance committee weren’t exactly going to be focused on school the week of their prized project.
“Have you tried it on?” Finley nodded again, pulling her phone out of her pocket and showing Sasha a photo. Sasha clapped her hands over her mouth and squealed, grimacing an apologetic smile at their teacher when he glared at her. “Scott is going to die. I just know it. That’ll be the dress, he’s going to cave. 100%.”
Finley smiled and shrugged, her eyes flicking over to where Luke was sat in the corner. As always, his eyes were trained on whatever was going on outside, his pen drumming absentmindedly on his desk. Finley wondered for the hundredth time that day whether or not he would mind her ending their Sunday arrangements. The purity ring on her ring finger had been Scott’s latest attempt at taming her, and it had been the first one that had sunk in. Scott really did love her, and saw a future with her. Despite his insistence that they couldn’t have sex until they were married, he’d given her this whole speech about commitment, and how he wanted them to be committed to each other emotionally before they were physical. In all honesty, Finley had been cringing internally the entire time, but the hopeful look on his face had been enough for her to fake this huge adorable reaction, almost crying as he slipped the ring on her finger.
The crying hadn’t been hard- she’d realised in the same moment that she really needed to grow up- which entailed not sleeping with her childhood best friend every chance she got. Scott was worth the wait, she was sure.
She waved goodbye to Sasha as they parted to go to their next classes, squealing quietly when Luke appeared against her locker, signature cocky smirk in place. She scowled at him and shooed him over slightly, swapping her books out for whatever was at the front. He watched with an amused expression, noting the multiple subjects that she definitely didn’t have that day going into her backpack.
“Something up princess?” She scowled even harder, slamming her locker shut and stalking away from him. He fell into step with her though, whistling through his teeth in the most aggravating manner.
“New addition?” Finley stopped in her tracks as she registered what Luke was talking about. The ring on her finger glinted against the lights, the fair sized diamond being hard to miss. She sniffed and nodded nonchalantly, flipping her ponytail over her shoulder.
“My boyfriend likes to spoil me.” Luke sighed and squeezed Finley’s arm, letting his finger trail down the bare skin of her bicep for a brief moment. The shiver that ran through her hadn’t gone amiss, and he smirked, taking her hand in his to examine the new jewellery.
“You engaged now? Going to be Mrs Lacrosse buff?” Finley rolled her eyes at him and snatched her hand away, ignoring the cold tone in his voice.
“It’s a purity ring.” Luke coughed loudly, spluttering as he tried to control his laughter. Doubled over in the hallway, Finley looked around desperately, horrified by the few people in the corridor who might overhear their conversation. She shoved him harshly into an empty classroom, slamming the door shut behind them.
Luke continued to laugh, running a hand through his hair as his eyes sparked dangerously.
“So what, he really believes his princess is all his?” Finley shrugged, dropping her hand to her side, out of sight. Luke stepped closer, taking in a deep breath of her perfume and groaning lightly.
“He really doesn’t know anything about you.” Finley frowned and stood up taller, trying to appear confident.
“He knows me better than anyone. He knows everything about me.” Luke nodded, eyes wide in mock sincerity.
“So he knows exactly what to do to you? Knows how to get under your skin?” He stepped closer, forcing her to take a few steps backwards until her back connected with the wall.
“He knows that if I kiss you here-” He let his lips brush over her neck, grinning as she whimpered. “That your knees will start to give?”
Finley locked her knees and did her best to hold her face in place. Luke put an arm against the wall, looking down at her with eyes she’d learned to fear. His torture eyes. Eyes that she’d seen looking up at her from between her legs as he’d forced her to the edge, over and over again, until she was begging for him to touch her, anywhere, everywhere. “He knows that if I touch you here-” His hand slipped behind her, squeezing a good handful of her ass in her shorts, a quiet moan betraying her. “That you’ll instantly look for something else?” He looked down pointedly, smirking at her hips, which had automatically moved forward, searching for him.  “He knows what I do to his perfect little princess, his girl, pure and sweet, every single weekend? He knows how you beg to ride me, how you scream for my cock, how you’re ruined for anyone else?” Finley was practically drooling now, looking up at him with desperate eyes. His words were going straight to her core, a painful heat spreading throughout her abdomen.
“He knows how you look on your knees, mouth open, tongue out, begging for everything I’ve got like the beautiful little whore you are?”
His voice was menacing, quiet. Mean. Finley groaned and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down to her for a furious kiss. His arms stayed in place, one against the wall above her head, and the other using her ass to pull her closer, grinding their hips together. His tongue slipped into her mouth, rough and fast and furious, his kiss practically searing her skin. He broke away all of a sudden, looking at her with significantly kinder eyes.
“He has no idea, that when you walk into that gym on Friday night, it’ll be me you want on your arm. That it’ll be me taking off your dress after the dance, and it’ll be me worshipping your body for hours after he’s safely in bed asleep. He hasn’t got a clue.”
Finley looked up at him silently, thoughts swirling.
“Luke.” He smirked, eyes trailing over her body. She lifted his chin so that his eyes were on her again, but held him still as he leaned in to kiss her again.
“Luke, no. I can’t. Not anymore.” His face contorted, confusion running rife through his eyes for barely a moment. He knew this would happen eventually- but he thought it would be mid-sex, a goodbye they could finish properly.
“What?” She sighed and stepped out of his hold, wrapping her arms around herself like a safety blanket.
“We can’t do this anymore. It’s not fair on Scotty.” He scoffed and stood up straight, adjusting his jeans slightly.
“Sure. Whatever. Have a good night with Scotty. Maybe if your lucky, he’ll graze your ass by accident.” He pulled a face as he strolled out of the door, leaving Finley to watch him with a sad face, her bottom lip falling prey to her teeth. It hadn’t gone better than expected- but it also hadn’t gone worse? It was just weird. But weird was okay. They were in entirely different social circles. No-one would ever notice weirdness between them.
---
“Are you sure about this?” Alex’s eyes scoured over the lyrics one more time, shooting Luke a concerned look.
Luke nodded, ruffling his hair one more time in the mirror.
They were in the bathroom by the gym, waiting for more people to arrive before they went on. Luke had been up all night, scribbling furiously in his songbook. Sleep evaded him, memories of Finley fluttering through his mind. Her laugh, the way she pulled his hair when he had his tongue in just the right place, the smell of her perfume, the way her eyes looked when she had his cock halfway down her throat. Her smile, the way her hair felt between his fingers, the rage that simmered in his chest when he saw her simpering at the dumb brute she called a boyfriend.
Reggie frowned as he read over the lyrics one more time.
“Who’s Fiona?” Luke shrugged and pushed off the sink, turning away from the mirror.
“Dunno.”
Alex rolled his eyes and nodded, tucking the paper in his back pocket. Bobby was chuckling away to himself in the corner, more excited to pick up one of the heartbroken lonely girls after the dance than for the actual performance.
“We should go set up. We’re on in less than an hour.”
Luke nodded, thrusting his hands deep in his pockets as they left the bathroom.  The hallways were littered with brightly coloured balloons, blue and silver streamers hanging from the ceiling tiles.
The boys shared a look as they pushed on the double doors to the gym, Luke’s chest clenching as he took in the scenery. Finley had outdone herself this time, he realised. Fairy lights were strung from wall to wall, giving the room a homey glow that he was sure looked romantic to some people. There were tea lights in jars scattered around the edge of the room and on the various tall tables, occupied by countless girls in brightly coloured dresses and their dates.
Luke’s eyes scanned the crowd without his permission, looking for the flash of red he knew held the body he couldn’t stop thinking about. He scoffed as he realised she wasn’t here yet. Typically, she wanted to make an entrance.
“Good, boys you’re here! If you guys are ready to set up that would be great, we want to get going as soon as possible.” Sasha smiled at them brightly, eyes sliding to Bobby as she simpered. Luke nodded curtly and headed for the stage, rolling his eyes as he heard Alex complimenting her dress. Personally, he found it heinous. Pale pink and puffy, she looked like something you’d find in a grandmother’s house.
Enthralled in making the stage look perfect for their set, Luke paid no attention to the clamours and cheering that suddenly broke out in the gym, only turning when Alex kicked his shin. The drummer nodded towards the doors of the gym, and Luke felt his stomach cave in as red filled his mind.
Literally.
His mind flooded with images of that dress lying on his bedroom floor, or even better, bunched around her hips as he thrust into her. Finley stood in the doorway blushing, her arms wrapped around Scott’s big one. Luke stared and stared and stared, his eyes trailing over the red satin, appreciating every inch of her from afar. Her skin was glowing, hair falling in soft curls around her face, eyes dark with makeup. She looked like something straight out of the dreams he’d been ignoring since he was 15.
Their eyes met across the dance floor, Finley flashing him a small smile and breaking free from Scott to wave. He rolled his eyes and waved back, though he couldn’t help the slow up and down he gave her. He knew she’d see it, and he wanted her thinking of him the whole night.
He stood watching as she twirled in Scott’s arms, strumming his guitar a little too harshly as he imagined how her dress would feel under his calloused fingertips, how the heat of her skin would feel against his as they danced, how her perfume would get him drunk on her. He couldn’t deny the jealousy that flooded him as she kissed Scott softly during a slow song, turning his back to jam with Alex for a few bars.
Alex eyed his best friend carefully, sensing that something wasn’t right. He’d called Luke out on a crush he was harbouring before, but he’d never thought it was this intense. The entire dance, Luke had a face like thunder, and he played like he was never going to play again. It didn’t escape any of the boys how their frontman was constantly drawn to the same side of the stage, his eyes only leaving his guitar for moments at a time.
“Alright folks, we thought we’d take this opportunity so graciously given to us by your homecoming queen-” The room broke out in cheers and applause as Finley flushed pink and dipped her head, suddenly the picture of innocence and modesty. Luke felt his words like venom, and grimaced as he gripped the mic harder than necessary.
“-To show you some new stuff we’ve been working on.”
More cheers broke out, but Luke relaxed knowing they were for the band, rather than Finley, who was frowning slightly at the front of the crowd. Luke chuckled to himself, knowing she was in for a shock.
“You alright babe?” Finley looked up at Scott with sweet eyes, squeezing his arm gently. She’d been staring at Luke all night, catching herself admiring his arms a few too many times. He was always beautiful when he played, sweat soaking his curls and running down his forehead, fingers moving so expertly on the strings. She spent an entire song biting her lip at the sound of his hoarse voice, clamping her thighs together at her body’s automatic response to his growly singing.
As soon as Luke had announced a new song, she’d tensed considerably. He’d complained about having nothing to write about, and she could only think of one thing since then that he would write about.
The opening chords started, and Finley smiled at the rocky feel. At least it wasn’t some slow ballad.
Luke smirked down at his guitar as he played, meeting Alex’s eyes with a knowing look. Alex’s jaw went slack for a moment as he realised who was standing right in front of Luke, groaning internally as he thought about the trouble his best friend was about to get himself into.
Scotty doesn't know that Fiona and me Do it in my van every Sunday, She tells him she's in church but she doesn't go Still she's on her knees and Scotty doesn't know
Finley’s mouth dropped open as she stared up at the stage, equally infuriated and turned on at Luke’s blatant admittance. He was prancing around the stage, looking somewhat cheerful for the first time that night.
He knelt at the edge of the stage as he started the chorus, grinning at the girls reaching up and screaming at him.
Scott watched in blind ignorance, tapping his foot along with the drums.
“It’s pretty good babe, don’t you think?” Finley forced a smile, wiping her clammy hands on her dress.
“Yeah, bit rocky for my taste but it’s so good!”
Scott wrapped an arm around her waist and brought her in to his side, kissing her hair.
I can't believe he's so trusting While I'm right behind you thrusting Fiona's got him on the phone And she's trying not to moan It's a three-way call and he knows nothing, nothing
Finley clapped a hand over her mouth and tried not to let her nervous laugh escape, eyes never leaving Luke as he danced around the stage, bouncing around with the exhausting amount of energy he always seemed to have.
Luke caught Finley’s eye for the chorus once again, smirking at her expression. He could tell by the glint in her eye that she was pissed, but the knowledge he was getting to her went straight to his cock, and he nodded at her, before turning away and playing to Alex for a bit. He turned back to the crowd for the bridge, meeting Finley’s eyes as he sang.
The parkin' lot, why not? It's so cool when you're on top His front lawn in the snow Life is so hard 'cause Scotty doesn't know                                               Scotty doesn't know
His eyes left hers momentarily as he smirked, turning to Scott instead. It was painfully obvious, and he winked at the lacrosse player before heading back to the mic, letting his eyes move between the two of them with an evil smile.
I did her on his birthday
Scott went still beside Finley, his hold on her waist loosening as he took a step sideways, face crumpled into a combination of confusion and laughter.
Finley looked up at him with a slightly fearful expression, but played it off, stroking his arm gently.
“I’m going to the ladies room, babe. I’ll be back.”
Scott nodded slowly, eyes trailing back to Luke’s as Finley disappeared from his side.
Luke watched Finley leave, letting the final chords of the song ring out for a few moments as the school went nuts. He met Alex’s eyes, which were filled with judgement, but also a hint of amusement.
“We’re gonna take a quick break folks! Enjoy the dance!”
Luke slung his guitar off of one shoulder, barely checking it was stable before running off stage and out the back door. He raced to the girls bathroom, rolling his eyes at the screams of indignation that ensued as he strolled in.
“You coming out to scream at me or what?”
Finley stormed out of a stall, eyes like thunder, and stopped right in front of him. He smirked, but quickly wished he hadn’t as her hand connected with his cheek, the slight sting spreading across his face.
“How dare you.”
Luke shrugged, eyes dropping to Finley’s lips as she trembled with rage.
“Let’s not act like I’m the one in the wrong here. I warned you you’d be coming home with me tonight.” Luke’s voice held a dangerous tone that Finley knew all too well, and she had to stop herself from clamping her thighs together, not in any hurry to give him any more reason to rile her up.
“I ended us. I told you I’m with Scotty.” Luke chuckled and took a step forward, smirking as Finley took a step back. He stalked her slowly, smile widening as her back hit the wall.
“Tell me honestly, that you’re not turned on right now.” Finley scoffed and looked away, her hands splayed against the cool tile of the wall. She couldn’t begin to think about how she was feeling.
Luke reached a hand up and grabbed her jaw, forcing her to turn back to him. His eyes were dark and round, and she felt herself thawing under his gaze. His tongue darted out and wet his lips, smirking as he caught her eyes following his movements.
“Answer me, sweetheart.”
Finley scowled and rolled her eyes, her breath catching as Luke’s eyes hardened.
“Attitude.” His voice was low and sharp, a commanding tone that almost had a whimper escaping Finley’s mouth. She bit the inside of her lip, eyes darting to the door. If she made a run for it, she might be able to convince Scotty she was just chatting to her friends.
“Luke, I’m with Scotty.”
Her voice was shaky, and held no conviction whatsoever. Luke smirked and trailed a hand down her side, squeezing her hip tightly as she whined quietly.
“Of course. So if I reach under your dress right now, you’re telling me I won’t find you soaked for me?”
Finley shuddered, nodding.
Luke nodded back, his hand slipping further down her body until it reached the slit in her dress, exposing her thigh. He trailed his fingertips along the smooth skin, chuckling when she flinched at his touch.
“Tell me to stop and I will.”
His voice was kinder, but it held weakness. He didn’t want to stop. He didn’t want her to stop him.
His hand trailed up her thigh, chest heaving as he listened to her breathing quicken. Her arm snapped up, grabbing his wrist, just as he reached the apex of her thighs. Luke sighed in defeat, ready to pull away, but groaned in surprise as she dragged his hand to her slit, letting out a moan as his fingers found her, drenched and ready for him.
“No underwear? Planning on giving Scotty a show tonight were we?”
Luke’s voice was hoarse as he thrust two fingers into her, knees buckling as she clenched around him. Finley’s arm wrapped around his neck, pulling him down to her and kissing him feverishly.
“No. Only you. Always only you.”
Luke sighed into her mouth, letting one hand snake behind her and pull her close while the other tortured her clit.
“Always so ready for me.”
She whimpered into his mouth as he sped up his fingers, thrusting into her while his thumb pressed harshly on her clit, drawing out pornographic moans from her as her hips bucked against him, searching for more.
“Tell me what you want.”
Finley whined in his arms as he pulled away, his fingers dripping with her slick. He raised them to his mouth, eyes never leaving hers as he sucked them clean. She groaned as he brought his hand to her mouth, dragging down her bottom lip, swollen from her biting.
“Tell me what you want from me, pretty girl.” His eyes searched hers desperately, pleading with her desperately to give him the answer he wanted.
“Ruin me.”
Luke groaned and dropped his hands to her waist, dragging her against him and claiming her lips. He kissed her with everything he had, his tongue forcing its way inside her mouth as he backed her against the sinks, hand dropping to his belt as her hips hit the porcelain. She moved to turn around, but he grabbed her wrist, shaking his head at her.
“Nuh uh. Want to see your face when you cum on my cock.” Finley’s knees buckled, letting him kiss her again as he freed his cock, lifting her with one arm so that she was sat on the sink. He stroked himself a few times, leaning his forehead against hers as he pushed into her. His head fell onto her shoulder as he bottomed out, a low groan vibrating across her skin. Finley whimpered and bucked her hips, begging him to move. Luke stayed still, drunk on the smell of her perfume and the feeling of her skin on his.
“You going to fuck me? Or am I sitting here for nothing?” Luke’s head snapped up, grinning at her breathless tone and flushed face. He grabbed her hips, pulling her to the edge and thrusting deeper inside her.
“Sorry princess, didn’t mean to leave you hanging.”
He grabbed her jaw with one hand, keeping her steady with the other, and started fucking into her at a furious pace, their kiss a mess of teeth and lips and tongue, each of their moans indistinguishable from the other’s. Finley’s hands found their way under his t-shirt, clawing at his back desperately as he hit every spot she needed. He broke their kiss, lips falling to her chest and freeing her tits. His tongue circled her nipple, biting down softly and groaning at the high-pitched moan that echoed around him in response. The lewd sounds of her dripping cunt taking him over and over again filled the bathroom, and he dropped his hand to her clit as he felt himself hurtling towards his finish.
“You ready sweetheart?” Finley moaned in response, tugging on his hair and trying to get impossibly closer. Luke pressed down hard on her clit, kissing her again as he felt her clench around him, her orgasm rushing through her body like lightning. She whimpered as he kept thrusting, hands clawing at his neck. Luke groaned into her mouth, biting down on her lip as he felt himself spill inside her.
They stayed there for a few moments, Luke shuddering against her as she panted desperately.
“Sh, sh, I got you. Right here baby. Always so good for me.”
Luke’s lips found her temple, pressing a kiss into her skin as she trembled in his arms.
Finley’s arms tightened around his neck as he pulled out, and he didn’t let her hold break as he did up his belt, arms coming back to hold her as soon as he was done. She was still shaking, and he could feel her heartbeat through their clothes.
“I got you. You’re fine baby. That’s my girl.”
Finley dropped her head against his chest, fighting to control her breathing. She was panicking, but Scott hadn’t even crossed her mind. The sweet words leaving his mouth, the reassurance; they confirmed what she was already terrified of.
“Your girl.”
Luke nodded against her, his head resting on her shoulder.
“Only want to be your girl.” Luke smiled and kissed her neck softly.
“Always have been, sweetheart. That was never going to change.”
Finley buried her head in his shirt, the aftershocks of her orgasm finally drifting away. She sat back slightly, looking at him with a fear stricken face. He stroked her cheek gently, smiling at her with such sincerity she could’ve cried.
“Cmon, let’s get you cleaned up.”
Finley giggled quietly and nodded, letting him help her off the sinks. He grabbed toilet paper from one of the stalls, and dropped to his knees to wipe gently at her inner thighs, pressing kisses into them as she played with his hair.
The softness was unusual for them, but it felt as natural as breathing.
He kissed her one last time, grabbing her hand as they left the bathroom. He knew they’d deal with it at some point, but he hadn’t expected to bump into Scott round the corner. He dropped Finley’s hand, shooting her a look as he stepped in front of her.
“Patterson, want to tell me what you were doing singing a song like that about my girl?”
Scott was red in the face, surrounded by his lacrosse buddies. Luke laughed and shrugged, twirling one of his rings around his finger.
“Your girl? You sure about that?” Scott scoffed and stepped towards him, muscles bulging through his button-up shirt.
“Don’t play with me. The whole school knows she’s mine.”
Luke grinned, dark and dangerous as he raised his eyebrows at the lacrosse captain.
“Oh yeah? Who’s cum is dripping out of her pretty little cunt right now then? That yours?”
Scott’s face went beet red, and Finley stifled a laugh from behind Luke, her breath catching as she caught Scott’s gaze. His eyes trailed over her, taking in her dishevelled appearance, and the marks that littered her throat.
“Oh shit, I forgot. You don’t even know what her cunt looks like, do you? Well I mean, I could tell you, but shit, it tastes so much better than it looks. Seriously dude, you’ve been missing out. Don’t know what man in his right mind wouldn-” He was cut off by Scott’s fist slamming into his jaw, throwing him backwards a few feet. Finley caught him, looking up at him with panicked eyes. Luke shook his head, giving her a weak smile with watery eyes.
Scott took one step towards them, but Luke turned back to him before he could get close to Finley, moving in front of her again.
“Nah, I don’t think so.”
Scott barked a laugh and sniffed, looking at Finley over Luke’s shoulder.
“Should’ve guessed. Always had you pegged for a whore.”
Luke rubbed his jaw one last time, and stepped forward.
“Big mistake buddy.”
Finley barely got a breath in before Luke swung, blood spurting from Scott’s nose seconds later. Luke shook out his fist, wincing at the pain in his knuckles, but grinned at Scott kneeling down, clutching his nose desperately.
“Do yourself a favour and keep my girl’s name out your mouth. God knows she’s kept yours out of hers. At least, when my cock’s inside her that is. Have a nice night.” Finley smothered a laugh with her hand, looking up at Luke in awe as he slung an arm around her shoulders, kissing her hair softly as he guided her around the lacrosse team, all fussing around Scott.
“Cmon baby. We got an afterparty to get to.” He winked at her as they pushed out the doors into the parking lot, strolling towards Luke’s truck. Alex would have his head for leaving before they could pack up the kit, but Luke’s mind was very much focused on other things. For example, getting his head between his girl’s thighs as soon as humanly possible.

So much for your happy ending..
When the bus comes to a halt Charlie is the first one to wake up. “Nugget?” he says almost whispering and I wake up to him softly shaking me. As soon as I open my eyes the realization hits that I’m all cuddled up to him in a bus filled with camp people.. Ohhh this is BAD I think to myself while instantly sitting up straight. “Morning sleepyhead.. this is my stop..” he tells me with a smile that doesn’t fully reach his eyes. “oh.. oh right!” I get up so Charlie can get out of our seats. Before he gets of the bus he wraps me in his arms in a tight hug. “I’m gonna miss you y/n..” “I’m gonna miss you too chewie.” I mumble into his chest and he lets out a laugh. “never really gonna get used to that name I think.” He then lets go of me and continues: “But we're gonna meet up again soon right?” I smile up at him “ Yeah I’d really like that.” We give each other one last hug and then I watch him get off the bus. The second he gets off is the second I start missing him but at least, I now know I wouldn't have to miss him for an entire year.
Only 40 minutes later I find myself at home too, the silence being just as overwhelming as it was last year. The story I get to tell my mom being even better than last year, she can’t help but notice the fact that the stories surrounding Charlie make me smile just that bit bigger. “You really like this guy don’t you?” She at one point interrupts me. I raise an eyebrow at her “Don’t get your hopes up mom, we’re just friends. But you’re right he is very important to me.” She smiles at that answer “If you say so honey.” I roll my eyes at her “I’m serious mom! He has a girlfriend so me and him are just friends.” “Well you know what they say honey. Everything can be broken.” I look at her in genuine shock, did she really just say that? “MOOOM!” she just laughs at me “I’m not saying you should break them up. I’m just saying that the fact he has a girlfriend now doesn’t mean he’ll have that girlfriend for the rest of his life…” I’m still not fully believing my mom is actually saying all of this.. “Oooookay… I think this is my cue to go upstairs and lie down for a bit..” I say while getting up from the couch and making my way upstairs.
I lie down on my bed but before I let myself drift off to sleep I decide to check in on Charlie. “Hey you! How are you holding up? If you ever need me I’m here okay? 😊” I almost instantly get a reaction “Not even passed out as soon as you got home? I’m impressed nugget! Thanks for checking on me though. I’m fine!” i sigh, I’m fine? I hated that I couldn’t see his face right now, his face would have told me if he was actually fine or not. Now I was gonna have to trust him on his word and i'm not sure that i could.. i had no other choice though so i reply : “I mean.. I had a pretty good sleep on the drive home, so you know.. didn’t feel the need to pass out right away! Glad to hear you’re doing okay!” “Yeah I noticed, thanks for drooling all over my shoulder btw 😉!” I felt my eyes grow wide, drooling over his shoulder? I didn’t actually do that right? I don’t think I noticed a wet spot on his shoulder when hugging him goodbye.. “I DIDN’T ACTUALLY DO THAT DID I?” “Haahahhaha, Calm down. You didn’t I’m just messing with ya!” I swear I could hear his laugh in my head when I read that. I knew he liked to mess with me and I kept falling for it.. was I ever gonna learn? Did I even want to learn? If I was being honest I actually kinda liked it when he was messing with me? For some reason I actually thought it was funny instead of annoying.. I had to give it to him this boy really could get away with anything.
After camp Charlie and I soon fell back into our routine of texting all day and Face timing all night until eventually one of us (usually me) would pass out. Weeks passed just like that and all things considered Charlie seemed to be doing okay. He definitely had his down moments and even though he wouldn’t always tell me he was feeling down, I got quite good at noticing when something wasn’t right. Which then led to him being honest with me and in the end thanking me for always listening to him. At this point in time he was actually feeling good about living with his grandma, he of course missed his dad terribly much but had admitted that it was really nice to not live in constant tension anymore. The peace that came with it had been more welcome than he had imagined. And apparently charlie’s mom enjoyed being closer to her own mom too cause they were now looking for their own place around here. Looks like Charlie is here to stay for a while not that we had met up yet like we said we would.. but this was gonna give me the opportunity do so many many times. maybe I should just ask him to hang out sometime? But what if he doesn’t want to? I don’t wanna seem weird or needy? My overthinking is stopped by the buzzing of my phone.
I’m surprised to see Emma’s name on the screen. Emma? I hadn’t spoken to her since the moment she left camp I wonder what she wants? I think to myself as I open her text “Hey Y/N! How are you doing?” Oh so she’s just checking in with me? That’s nice! “Hey Emma! I’m doing pretty good actually, how are you? 😊” “Glad to hear that! I’m not doing to well actually..” “ohh..what’s up ems?” There’s a few minutes of being left on read before I get an answer “I’m thinking about breaking up with Charlie..” That is the last thing I expected her to say and I just sit there in shock for a moment not sure of what to say to her. Should I try and stop her? Save Charlie from heartbreak? Should I encourage her? Should I tell Charlie about this? “Em.. Are you sure about this? What is making you think about doing this?” “Well.. I kind of haven’t been in love with him for about 6 months now… but I he means so much to me I don’t want to lose him.. so I’m thinking of asking him to take a break so I can figure my own feelings out.” 6 MONTHS? SHE HAS NOT LOVED HIM FOR 6 MONTHS? No wonder she was so chill with me and Charlie hanging out at camp.. SHE DIDN’T FREAKING CARE ANYMORE. I feel myself getting mad.. how could she do this to him?! I wanted to yell at her I wanted to call Charlie now and tell him what was going on. But that was not my place.. so I take a deep breath and try to reply as calmly as I can “Ooh..jeesh Emma this is not good… this is not fair to him. you got to talk to him about this he deserves to know the truth..” “No I know y/n.. I’ll talk to him.. Thanks for your advice.. I’ll keep you up to date!” My advice?! All I did was telling her to talk to Charlie about this, she couldn’t have come up with that herself?! Why did she even include me in this? It’s not gonna take long before Charlie starts talking about this to me.. and I’m not even gonna be able to say anything.. I hated it.
I can barely finish that thought before I see Charlies name pop up on my screen and I instantly open his message “Nugget.. help? Emma wants to talk to me.. this can’t be good right?” No Charlie, you're right it is far from good, she's gonna straight up break your heart. is what I wanted to say so desperately but couldn’t.. “Oh eh I don’t know? it could be about anything right? Did she say anything about what or when?” “yeah I guess.. she didn’t say anything about the topic but she wanted to do it later this week. But something is up i cant tell.. so I told her I needed her to talk to me tonight and she eventually agreed..” SHE WAS GONNA MAKE HIM WAIT AS WELL? THIS GIRL… “good that you told her she needed to talk to you today. Whatever it is it’s better to get it out of the way right?.. Keep me up to date okay Chewie?” “Yeah I will.” “Good luck!*hug*”
Poor dude.. he had no clue what was coming for him.. the rest of the day I feel restless, I feel like a horrible person for keeping something so big from Charlie and I can’t help but try to imagine what he must be feeling right now. The silence from his side is way too long and way too loud to my liking.. I'm literally about to fall asleep when my phone buzzes and I see it’s a text from Charlie my heartbeat instantly quickens.. “hey.. you still awake?” “Yeah of course I am Charlie.. You okay?” typing dots appear and they disappear again. That happens a few times and I’m starting to get worried.. “No.. No I’m not. I broke up with her.” That catches me of guard.. He broke up with her? What happened there? “You what? What happened?” “ Well long story short, she basically told me she hadn’t really been in love with me anymore for the past six months, so she asked me to have a little break so she could figure out her feelings? I’m not gonna sit here and wait for her to maybe fall back in love with me y/n. if she was gonna love me again that would have happened already, so I had to end things with her.” before i can say something charlie adds "I'm so mad and heartbroken at the same time.. you know what she meant to me and then she does this.." I wanted nothing more than to wrap him into a hug right now but I couldn’t.. so I did the next best thing I could come up with “ I’m so sorry Charlie, this is not what you deserved at all.. I don’t even really know what to say right now.. I just want to give you a big hug. Do you maybe want to meet up tomorrow? Hang out? Talk about things or distract yourself for a while? If not that’s totally fine too!” All of my doubts form before were out of the window all I knew was that Charlie now needed a friend and I was ready to be that friend if he wanted me to. “I would love that Nugget. I could use a hug from you right now.” “Well hold that thought. Tomorrow I’ll give you all the hugs you need.” Charlie and I text a bit more and then decide on meeting up in a park that’s , by bus, only 15 minutes away from both of our houses.
The next day I wake up bright and early, I can’t help but feel a bit nervous about meeting Charlie today. We’ve had spend plenty of time together on camp and it had been just the two of us plenty of times then. But now outside of camp and in those circumstances of him being heartbroken but also single for the first time.. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I just knew I was gonna be a friend to him, setting all my own feelings aside and focusing on his. Making sure he was okay cause after all that’s all I really cared about. I’m about to get out of my bed when my phone buzzes it’s a message from Charlie saying that he can’t wait to hug me in a few hours. I tell him I can’t wait to give him all the hugs either and then decide on taking a shower.
Even though he has literally seen me at worst, in my grossest clothing and even though I know he wouldn’t care what I showed up in I decide on making an effort. Curling my hair, putting on the tiniest bit of make-up, wearing my new Linkin park shirt with a cute flannel on top.. it may not sound like much but for someone who usually doesn’t put in any effort this was quite something, maybe deep down I hoped he would be slightly impressed or at least would like the way I looked.. I go downstairs to have some breakfast and then leave the house on my way to the park. Lucky for us it’s a nice day out not too hot and not too cold, the sun was out a perfect day to chill outside really. Before I know it I’m standing at the bus stop right in front of the park waiting for Charlie to arrive. His bus arrives only 5 minutes later, but those 5 minutes felt like the longest 5 minutes of my life. Just seeing that bus and knowing he was in there made my heartbeat speed up and as soon as I first see him my heart skips a beat. All I wanna do is run up to him and fly around his neck and never let go but I contain myself not knowing what he needs or wants right now I was gonna have to let him take the lead and let me know what I could do for him right now.
As soon as it’s safe Charlie runs onto the street towards me, in pure instinct I open my arms for him and he runs into them picking me up and spinning me around before putting me down again but not letting go of me. I had gotten a lot of hugs from him and they always had been tight but this might have been the tightest one yet he clearly wasn’t lying when he told me he needed this. “hey” is all I can get myself to say while being wrapped up in his hug, there’s no reply coming from him and for a second I’m not sure what to do or say next so I just hold him. “wanna.. maybe take a walk?” I ask him after something that felt like 30 minutes but was probably more like a minute. I can feel him nod and then he slowly lets go of me.
We make our way into the park and just start wandering around. I want to ask him how he's doing i wanna know if he's okay, but that feels like a stupid thing to ask cause he clearly isn't doing okay right now. But then what do you ask or say to someone who had just gotten his heartbroken? should i maybe say something completely random? get his mind away from where ever it was at? I was desperately trying to come up with something but nothing seemed good enough so we just walked in silence for a good while. Then out of no where Charlie takes my hand in his. "can we sit down for a second?" he asks me while pointing towards a bench up ahead. i give his hand a light squeeze "Yeah, of course. we'll do whatever you want Charlie." He leads me to the bench and then sits down, still holding his hand i sit down next to him as i wait for him to say something.
I can see him taking a big breath in before finally saying something. "She really meant the world to me you know.." i was not gonna lie. He had mentioned before that she was so important to him but in the times i saw them together had never really seen or understood why.. as if he was reading my mind he continued "probably didn't always look like that huh? I know you mainly saw things not going as smooth between me and her. i know you heard me complain about her.. but she really did make me happy.." I give his hand a squeeze "It doesn't matter what i saw or heard Char, she made you happy i believe you..I.." He shakes his head "I don't need you to believe me Y/n, i need you to understand.." "Okaay, talk to me then.."
Charlie takes another deep breath "alright, so uuhh.. i met her almost 4 years ago but 4 years ago i wasn't the person that i am now. 4 years ago i was at a very low point in life, my parents had just started getting into bigger and more intense fights. i had to go to a new school cause that whole thing wasn't going well, which apparently also ment losing some of my best friends, i really liked this girl but she ended up being the worst, she played me and stole from me. people at my new school really had it out for me and took every opportunity they could find to bring me down.. it's not that i hated myself during that time but i did hate life, i felt like i was going through everything all alone, felt like no one cared or understood, felt like i didn't even care about anything anymore. I was lonely, scared, lost in life and that's when i met Emma. She was nice to me, she was willing to hang out with me, she loved the same music, we had fun, she introduced me to her friends, she dragged me along to things she went to.. She gave me back an actual life, with her i had a place where i belonged, where i felt home and safe. She pulled me out of the depression i was in.. If there's a God i was convinced she was a gift from him to me.." "i.. Charlie i had no idea.. i'm so sorry" he gives me a small smile "it's okay, you couldn't.. most people have no idea. clearly things changed a bit during our relationship though, she turned into this insecure person, she started claiming me, she didn't want me to hang out with other girls even if she knew they were just friends, she mostly wanted to do things with just me.. but through it all she was still that girl who made me feel the things she had been making me feel from the beginning, she was worth it. i gladly gave up half of my life for her cause i loved her.. i still do.. i was really trying to make her happy, to keep her happy to make her truly believe she was the only one for me, to let her know how grateful i was to have her in my life. I tried so hard y/n.. just not hard enough apparently.." My heart is breaking all over again for him, i let go of his hand and wrap my arm around his shoulder sort of hugging him closer to me. "Please don't think like that. You can't blame yourself for this.." a soft, low 'hmm' is all i get as a response. "Charlie. look at me.." he doesn't.. and i sigh, removing my arm from around his shoulder taking his face in my hands forcing him to look at me. "You can't blame yourself for this. you did EVERYTHING for her Charlie. She should be the grateful one, she should have been honest with you months ago.. she wasnt fair to you, yet you gave her everything. She was so lucky to have you. ANYONE would be so lucky to have you. HECK IM SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU IN MY LIFE. i will not let you put yourself down because of this Gillespie. I will not let you do that you hear me?"
Charlie just looks at me for a bit while i'm still holding his face and then he laughs, catching me of guard. "i hear you loud and clear.. and i see you very clearly too nugget" i instantly let go of his face "right.. sorry about that i eh.. i don't know why i.. eh.. I just had to make sure i was getting through to you." he smiles at me "Don't worry about it. You did get through to me. You're an amazing person y/n.. you know that right? You're the only one that offered to meet up with me today. Thank you.."
"Hey, no need to thank me. I know you would have done the same for me. This is what we do right? This is what our friendship is. We're here for each other in the good and the bad times." Charlie nods in agreement "true! hey uh.. speaking of good times.. i was supposed to go to this linkin park concert in two weeks.. i was gonna bring Emma with me as a surprise.. do you.. do you maybe wanna go with me?" was he kidding me? A Linkin park concert.. with him? If we didn't just have this deep conversation i would swear this was just a very nice dream.. "I.. YES! i uh.. i mean.. are you sure you want to bring me?" a look of confusion shoots across his face "Why wouldn't i want to bring you? are you kidding me? This friendship basically started with us singing Linkin park. What better way to thank you for everything and celebrate this friendship than going to a concert of the band that started it all?" i throw my arms around charlie pulling in him for the biggest hug "Yes. Yeesss i would love to come with you! Thank you!" i let go of him before continuing "i just.. i thought maybe you would want to bring one of your other friends. Let me know how much the ticket was? i'll repay you!" Charlie shakes his head at me. "nope. I bought it as a gift, it will stay a gift. This is gonna be my first time seeing them live. I'm looking forward to sharing that moment with a best friend like you nugget!" i knew fighting him on this wasn't gonna make a difference, i knew him long enough to know that if he had an idea in mind no one was gonna get it out of there.. we spend the rest of the afternoon just talking and actually end up having a really good time in the park. Sure there were times where Emma came back up and that's okay, this day was all about Charlie and making sure he got had the chance to let it all out, trying to make him feel better. If the amount of times we laughed said something i would say today did him a whole lot of good. We end the afternoon with a very long and tight hug agreeing to meet up again next week to do something fun.
As i'm in the bus on my way home i'm getting lost in my own thoughts.. Would this finally be the start of finally seeing Charlie more often? I for one would not be mad about that, I loved spending time with this boy. I loved this boy, but there's no room for those feelings yet.. I guess only time would tell what was actually gonna happen there.. I at least knew for sure i had the concert to look forward to.. even though i was kinda nervous about that too.. Charlie once mentioned mosh pits and how he thought those were fun.. to me they just seemed scary and i already felt myself getting anxious about possibly getting pulled into one.. HOW WAS I GONNA SURVIVE THAT? I take a deep breath trying to calm myself down, telling myself it will be fun and Charlie would never do that to me.. or maybe i was just hoping really hard he would never do that to me cause what did i know about concert Charlie? i had never gone anywhere with him before.. this was gonna be interesting.

Until Him {Owen Joyner x Reader}
Request: Owen taking the reader’s virginity and being surprised when she likes it.
Summary: Y/N and Owen have been dating for almost a year, but as her 20th birthday approached, she decides she wants to take their relationship to the next level.
Warnings: smuuuuuuuut
“Come on, y/n, just tell me! I have no idea.”
Y/N shrugged and smiled at her boyfriend’s distressed expression.
“I don’t want anything from you! You’ve given me everything just by being yourself.”
Owen gagged and rolled his eyes.
“Shut up. You’re getting something whether you like it or not- surely you’d rather get something you actually want, than something you don’t? Just tell me.”
Y/N sighed and continued running her hands through Owen’s hair, smiling at him as he looked up at her. His arms were folded over her stomach, his chin resting on them so he could look up at her.. Y/N giggled and tugged at his hair gently, watching his eyes close and a light blush flood his cheeks.
“Stop that.”
His voice was strained, and she almost felt bad. They’d been dating for about 10 months now, and they still hadn’t had sex. He hadn’t pressured her in any way whatsoever, but she knew he was desperate. They’d done some stuff- over the clothes mainly, and that had been fun, for sure. She’d found out how much he loved getting his hair pulled, and now loved taking advantage of it in the worst situations. But y/n was reluctant to go the full way before now. She’d been in too many relationships where it just hadn’t felt right, because it seemed to be all the guys cared about, and that was why she was still a virgin at nearly 20 years old. Until Owen. Owen came to her like a breath of fresh air, bumping into her on the high street of their tiny Oklahoma hometown. They’d hit it off immediately, and had gone for lunch right there and then. A week later, they made it official, and now, you rarely found one without the other. The topic of her virginity had come up once or twice, and he’d always treated it with the utmost respect, insisting that they waited until she was absolutely ready. He made a point of avoiding all conversations regarding sex when they were with friends, making sure she didn’t feel awkward or left out. He was incredible, and Y/N knew deep down inside, that he was the one for her. And so that’s what she’d decided she wanted for her birthday. She wanted to sleep with Owen, in an effort to try and convey to him just how much she loved him. That, and all of the over clothes touching had become incredibly teasing, and she couldn’t wait to go further. She just had to find the right time to tell him.
Almost a week later, and the night before her birthday, Y/N still hadn’t worked out how to bring up the topic with Owen. She didn’t want to spring it on him- she wanted it to be, in the least cliché way possible, special.
“So where is he taking you for dinner again?”
Y/N sighed down the phone at her best friend’s question.
“I don’t know, probably that little italian place that we really like. That’s not the point though, I asked for your help!”
Y/F/N groaned on the other side of the phone.
“Fine. Wait til you get to the restaraunt and tease him about your birthday present, and then turn round and say you got him something. Have you got that nice Victoria Secret set we bought ready?”
Y/N bit her lip and nodded, forgetting for a moment that her best friend couldn’t see her. She walked over to her wardrobe and picked up the delicate lace of the matching set her best friend had made her buy for way too much money, and set it back down again.
“Okay. I guess I’ll try that?”
An ear-piercing squeal made Y/N drop the phone, sheepish laughter coming through from the speaker as she bent down to get it.
“Remember to tell me all the details. I want to hear everything.”
Y/N laughed and ended the call, looking at herself in the mirror. She was wrapped in a towel, her hair still wet and dripping down her back. She had work to do before her date the next night, and that involved working up some confidence.
“You look gorgeous, Y/N.”
Owen leant in and pressed a soft kiss to her lips, before taking her hand and leading her out to his car. He opened the passenger door, and she gasped as she was met by a bouquet of roses, tied with a red ribbon.
“They’re beautiful, O.”
Owen shrugged and kissed her cheek, before moving around to the driver’s side.
“Only the best for my girl.” Y/N blushed and smoothed down her dress. It was baby pink, off the shoulder, and stopped mid-thigh. She looked the picture of innocence- which was the opposite of what she hoped to be by the end of the night.
All throughout dinner, Y/N found herself being reminded yet again, why she loved Owen. He made her laugh like nobody else, constantly had a new story to tell, and never went 5 minutes without making some form of physical contact with her. Over the course of the night, he’d moved from having his hand on her knee in the car, to having a hand on the small of her back as they walked to their table, and now he was holding her hand on top of the table cloth, his thumb gently stroking the back of her hand.
“So, any more thoughts on what you want for your birthday?”
Y/N raised her eyebrows, and let her eyes flick down to the table briefly, before taking a deep breath and meeting his gaze.
“There was actually, something.”
Owen groaned in relief and laughed gently, running his free hand through his hair. He looked incredible tonight, wearing smart black jeans paired with a blue button up that complimented his eyes perfectly.
“Come on then, let me hear it.”
Y/N swallowed and looked to their hands, letting a soft smile drift across her face.
“You.”
He was silent for a moment, and when she looked back up at him, she found him looking at her in a state of near shock.
“W-what?”
She started drawing small circles on his hand, telling herself to keep calm.
“I want you.”
Owen raised his eyebrows at her.
“Tonight?”
She nodded, a soft flush creeping up her neck and spreading across her face.
“A-are you sure? I don’t want you to think that I expect it or-”
She gave him a look, the same look she’d been giving him every time they’d talked about sex in the last 10 months they’d been together.
“Owen, I love you. We’ve been together for almost a year, and I think- I know, you’re the one for me. I want to do this, and share it with you. Please?”
Y/N looked up to him with sincere eyes, and he almost melted on the spot.
“You don’t have to ask me twice. Cheque?”
He signalled to a waiter, and laughed when she rolled her eyes, kicking him gently under the table.
“Good thing I tidied my room then, huh?”
Owen nudged her gently as they walked along the street, both having chosen to walk to his apartment rather than drive back to hers, considering they’d shared two bottles of wine over the course of the evening. Y/N smiled and leant her head on his shoulder, quietly taking in the shadowy town they were walking through.
“You say you tidied it- I guarantee you still have a pile of clothes in the corner that’s around the same height as me.”
Owen shrugged and made a face at her, before letting her go to grab his keys and unlock the door to his flat. Y/N bit her lip and felt her stomach flip a little, as she realised what this meant. She was nervous- but only a little. She trusted Owen to take care of her, and make it special. Sure enough, as soon as they walked through the door, she was met by a sweet vanilla scent, and could see rose petals scattered along the hallway.
“Owen...”
He looked at his feet, hiding the blush spreading across his cheeks.
“I wasn’t presuming anything, I just wanted to do something nice-”
She cut him off by pressing her lips to his, placing a hand on his cheek as she kissed him softly.
“It’s perfect. I love you.”
He smiled down at her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I love you too. You want a drink?”
She nodded, and grabbed his hand as he walked through to the kitchen, grabbing the vodka from the freezer and setting it down on the counter.
“O, I want to remember this.”
He nodded with a laugh and put it back, handing her a cider, and cracking open a beer for himself. She kicked off her heels and jumped onto the counter, sipping quietly as she watched him from across the kitchen. Looking at her with wide eyes, he tried to suss out what she was thinking. Her legs were swinging back and forth, her curls falling over one shoulder and leaving the other deliciously bare. He set his beer down on the counter and moved over to her, standing between her legs.
“Hey.”
She met his eyes and smiled, reaching a hand up to stroke his face.
“Hey.”
His eyes flicked down to her lips, and she swallowed as his eyes darkened slightly. Leaning in slowly, he pressed his lips to hers, his hands coming to rest on her hips. She melted into him, her drink forgotten beside her as his lips moved against hers, his hands pulling her in closer to him. She moaned softly against him, parting her lips and deepening the kiss as her arms slipped around his neck, toying with the hair at the nape of his neck.
“O-owen.”
He nodded, and pulled her against him, slipping his hands under her legs as he picked her up, his lips never leaving hers. He carried her out of the kitchen, stopping in the hallway to press her up against the wall. A gasp slipped out at the sudden change, but she loved it, letting out breathy moans as his kisses strayed from her mouth, drawing patterns on her skin and working their way down to her shoulder. Just as he reached her sweet spot, nipping and sucking at it gently, Y/N pushed him off her and ran into the bedroom, turning to face him with a smirk as she reached behind her to unzip her dress.
Owen groaned desperately and ran a hand through his hair, strolling towards her. Y/N turned around and looked at him over her shoulder, indicating for him to unzip her dress. He reached her and pressed a kiss to her shoulder blade, unzipping the soft satin material and pushing it off her shoulders. She let it fall down her body, before turning round and looking at him with playful eyes.
“Holy fuck.”
Owen’s breath hitched as he took her in, his eyes registering the black lace that adorned her body.
“Like what you see?”
Y/N twirled playfully, giving him an eyeful of the set she’d picked out the week before. Owen didn’t answer, his hands reaching out and grabbing her hips. She looked up at him through her lashes, reaching her hands up to unbutton his shirt, biting her lip as she did so. It wasn’t really supposed to be seductive- it was a nervous tic she had, but clearly Owen forgot about this, as he reached up and pulled on her bottom lip with his thumb, his eyes near black with lust. Y/N pushed his shirt off his shoulders, licking her lips and smiling at his sculpted chest.
“You’re incredible.”
Owen pushed a curl off her face, and smiled softly, his eyes drifting over her again.
“You can’t speak. You’re- unreal.”
She looked at the ground, wrapping an arm around her stomach as his eyes bore right into her, making her feel more exposed than ever. Owen grabbed her arm, pulling it away gently.
“Don’t hide from me. Don’t ever, hide from me. You’re beautiful.”
Y/N looked up at him again, stroking his face with a thumb.
“Owen, please.”
He knew exactly what she was asking, and wrapped his arms around her thighs, lifting her up once more and bringing her lips to his. He walked forwards until his legs hit the side of his bed, dropping her onto her back gently. Lowering his mouth to her neck, he pressed soft kisses onto her skin, living for the noises of pleasure leaving her lips. Tongue drawing patterns along her collarbones, he worked his way down to the curve of her chest, sucking the fair skin into his mouth.
Y/N arched off of the bed, letting out a moan and tugging his hair softly. Owen smirked against her, and continued his path down her body, stopping at the lacy waistband of her underwear.
“I love these.”
Y/N smirked and ran a hand through his hair, trying to ignore the sensations running through her core as she felt his hot breath on her through the material of her underwear.
“Take them off.”
He looked up at her in surprise, her forwardness rather uncharacteristic.
“Whatever you say.”
He smirked slightly, and dragged them down her legs, leaving them on the carpet before crawling between her thighs, and resting on his knees. With a quick kiss, and a reassuring smile, he lowered his mouth to her legs, leaving soft kisses on the inside of her thighs. He worked his way up, until he reached her core, sucking gently on her clit. She arched off the bed and tugged on his hair as he drew patterns on her centre with his tongue, Owen smiling against her at the noises she made. He squeezed her thigh gently, and stroked the outside of her slit with a finger, before pushing into her. Her legs tensed slightly, and she moaned, arching her back into his touch.
Owen watched her through hooded eyes as she reacted to his ministrations, listening carefully as her breathing became more and more laboured. He started sucking her clit again, feeling her legs clench around his head. He massaged her thigh gently, feeling her near the edge.
“Come on baby, let me hear you.”
Y/N came with a loud moan, her legs trembling and hand pulling desperately at Owen’s hair. He eased her through her orgasm, only moving when her moans had dropped to quiet whimpers. She smiled up at him, still panting, as he appeared above her, holding himself up with his arms. Reaching a hand up, she stroked his bottom lip with her thumb, reddening when she noticed the wetness on his lips and chin. Owen leant down and bit her bottom lip, letting her taste herself on his tongue.
Y/N moaned into his mouth, and automatically wrapped her legs around his hips, pulling him closer to her as she searched desperately for some friction. She could feel Owen through his jeans, the outline of his cock pressing against her stomach through the soft denim. Owen continued to kiss her, his tongue slipping against hers messily, their teeth clashing occasionally, as each of them got more and more turned on, and less and less bothered by anything that wasn’t each other.
“O, t-take your jea-jeans off.”
Y/N managed through kisses, panting when he broke away. She sat up and reached for his belt, fumbling with the buckle desperately. Her hands were shaking, and Owen pushed them away gently, holding both of her hands with one of his, while he unbuckled his belt with the other. Checking once again that she was alright, he unbuttoned his jeans, and unzipped the fly, before pulling them down and kicking them out of sight. Y/N swallowed visibly, his boxers showing off the sheer size of him much more clearly. The furthest they’d previously gotten was heavy make-out sessions, her grinding into him, both topless- but clearly what she’d felt during that, hadn’t done him justice.
“You okay?”
He brought her out of her thoughts with a soft touch to her face, drawing her eyes away from the tight black boxers he wore.
“Yeah, of course.”
He smiled at her, easing her back onto the pillows, and kneeling between her legs.
“Do you want to use a condom, or?”
Y/N fidgeted a little, reaching behind her to unclasp her bra.
“I’m not sure. I’m on the pill so it doesn’t really matter but maybe we should...?”
She looked at him questioningly, and he shrugged.
“Whatever you want.”
He reached over her into his bedside table and pulled out a little foil square, dropping it on the pillow beside her. Nodding decisively, she watched as Owen pulled off his boxers, and ripped open the condom. Her stomach was fluttering, and she found herself recounting all of her friends bad experiences, where their boyfriends had finished too quickly, gone too fast, rushed them, or where it had hurt like a bitch- but then she remembered that this was Owen.
Her Owen, the man she loved, and the person she wanted to spend forever with. She trusted him.
She felt herself relax considerably, and smiled at him as he settled between her legs.
“You sure? We don’t have to.”
Y/N rolled her eyes and pulled him in for a kiss.
“I love you.”
He smiled and kissed her back, resting his forehead against hers.
“I love you too. I-I’m sorry if this hurts. Tell me if you need me to stop, okay?”
She nodded, and tensed slightly, as she felt him pressing at her entrance. He placed soft kisses across her temple as he pushed inside her, moving as slowly as he could. One final push, and Y/N winced as he broke her, instantly bringing his mouth to her ear and whispering soft apologies, kissing the skin of her neck to distract from the pain. She shook her head and screwed her eyes shut, knowing it would pass soon. Owen bottomed out, and collapsed onto her shoulder, breathing heavily. They stayed like that for a moment, until Y/N turned to look at him, and kissed his temple.
“I-it’s fine now. You can move.”
He groaned lightly in her ear, and nipped her earlobe gently.
“Good, but give me a second. It’s been well over a year, Y/N. You feel like fucking heaven right now.”
She giggled softly, making both of them groan at the sudden movement. Eventually, Owen sat up, and took a deep breath, his eyes raking over her face and chest. He pulled out slowly, and pushed back in once, watching her face carefully for any signs of pain. Y/N closed her eyes and let her lips fall apart as the most intense pleasure she’d ever felt shot through her.
“Oh my god.”
She moaned breathily, bringing her hands up around Owen’s neck, as he pushed into her again, filling her up and stretching her deliciously. He stopped at her words, eyes filled with worry.
“I-I’m sorry, are you okay?”
She opened her eyes and looked at him, pupils dilated and heavy with lust.
“Don’t stop.”
He raised his eyebrows in surprise, but moved tentatively, watching her face in wonderment. She moaned loudly as he thrust into her with a little more force, and he stopped again, afraid he’d hurt her. Not even opening her eyes, she squeezed his shoulder.
“Owen, if you stop again, I might actually stab you. You feel fucking incredible. Please, don’t stop.”
Owen groaned at her words, and pushed into her, letting himself relax. He built up a steady pace, thrusting into her gently, and biting at her neck. Y/N moaned hedonistically in his ear, spurring him on. He moved faster, and started thrusting harder, relishing in the noises of utter pleasure that escaped her. She wrapped her legs around his waist, arching into him, letting him hit all of the spots she needed him to hit. He angled his hips carefully, and sat up a little, watching her face as he pushed into her again. She groaned, her eyes rolling back in her head as she bucked her hips into him, and he smirked.
“There we go.”
She looked at him in total awe, and he pulled out again, before watching her face contort with pleasure when he thrust in.
“Faster, O. Please.”
He smirked, and pressed a kiss to her temple, upping the tempo, and listening to her delicious moans as he brought her closer and closer to the edge. He could feel the familiar sensation growing within him too, and he dropped his head to her shoulder, sucking hard on the skin there, and began to fuck her, hips slamming against her. She gasped and writhed beneath him, desperate for release, and he reached a hand between them, circling her clit with his thumb.
“Hold it, baby.”
She whimpered in his ear, begging for him to finish her. Owen moaned quietly and bit down on her skin as he reached the edge, pressing his thumb down against her clit as he did so.
“Cum for me, gorgeous.”
Y/N let out a cry, and Owen groaned as her walls tightened around him, pulling him over the edge with her. They rode out their orgasms together, Y/N’s hand coming to rest in his hair as he continued to moan softly in her ear. He collapsed onto her, and the room was filled with the sound of heavy breathing, occasional whimpers leaving Y/N as aftershocks from her orgasm coursed through her body. Owen sat up and pulled out of her carefully, discarding the condom in the trash, and pulling her into his chest. She curled into him instinctively, letting him pull the blankets over them, before resting her head on his chest, and lying between his legs.
“Are you okay?”
He asked her quietly, kissing her hair softly. She looked up at him, and smiled, pressing a kiss to his jawline.
“That was perfect.”
He rolled his eyes, but looked pleased.
“I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
She shrugged, and moved around so that she was leaning on his chest, looking up at his flushed cheeks. He continued running his hands through her hair, looking at her with adoring eyes.
“Meh, hardly. It was worth it anyway.”
She grinned, and he bit his lip, shooting her a cheesy wink.
“Give me 2 minutes and I’ll give you round two.”
She raised her eyebrows at him, and he grinned, flipping her over and leaning down to kiss her.
“I’ve got over a year of stamina built up, baby, I wanna use it.”
She collapsed into giggles, bringing a hand up to his neck, and kissing him through her laugh. She was utterly in love with him, and nothing could ever change that.

My Baby Love
*GIF NOT MY OWN- creds to theothersideoffantasy*
Owen Patrick Joyner x reader request!!!
Maybe the reader is part of the JATP cast and once at a gathering the cast starts teasing the reader about who she’d date among the boys. She gives her opinion on each boy but Owen gets upset when she says she wouldn’t date him because he’s a baby (even though she’s only 2 years older). She knows it’s stupid but it’s the only excuse she can find to fight her feelings. Everyone notices how oblivious they both are so at every occasion they keep mentioning how a great couple they’d make ? At the beginning Owen and the reader stay close but eventually the reader becomes more and more flustered and tries to distance herself to suppress her feelings. At the end they just have a heart to heart convo and kiss ? I need major fluff 😂

I LOVED THIS REQUEST! I hope I can create the story you want💜
Tumblr media
When I got the call to be in season 2 of Julie and the Phantoms, I never once imagined that it would end up like this- me falling for someone two years younger than me, I had never been attracted to someone younger than me before, I always went with older guys it was just something that I had always done so when I met Owen, I thought that he’d end up being like a little brother to me and that was what I had hoped.
“Hey Y/n!” I heard Charlie call my name as I was leaving the lot, I turned around to see the brunette running towards me with Owen close by, my heart began to race as I saw the blue eyes belonging to the gorgeous boy,
“H-hey” I stuttered, clearing my throat before regaining my confidence, “wassup?” I questioned, looking between the two boys, catching Owen staring at me, I smiled and tore my gaze away, focusing my attention back onto Charlie,
“Well, Owen and I are having some of the cast over tonight for takeout and we were wondering if you wanted to come? Savannah really wants you there” the brunette asked, I nodded happily,
“Well, if Sav wants me there, I guess I have no choice” I joked, just as Savannah walked past us, tucking me into her side
“That is very true, I wouldn’t want to endure a night with the cast without my best friend being there!” Savannah smiled. I had developed a very close friendship with Savannah within a week of filming, the first day of bootcamp she had showed me around and always made sure I was alright, we later realised that we had very similar interests and decided to move in together for the filming of the season and the friendship stemmed from there, she was most definitely my best friend and the truest friend that I had ever had.
“Fine, I’ll be there. What time?” I questioned, looking back over at the boys as Savannah squealed happily beside me,
“Does 7 sound good?” Owen asked, I looked up at him and my breath caught in my throat- he was single-handedly the most attractive person I had ever laid my eyes on and it was almost painful how much I liked him.
“Yep, sounds perfect. I’ll see you then” I smiled, waving the boys goodbye before walking off with Savannah, we wandered through the parking lot before reaching my car, we both hopped in and Savannah took a hold of the aux cord, playing her created playlist of all of Justin Bieber’s hits.
The time to leave for Charlie and Owen’s place soon came round, I changed into a pair of leggings and an oversized hoodie before slipping on my Converse and heading to the door with Sav. “Should we walk or no?” I asked, Savannah shrugged her shoulders, soon going for the option of walking considering the boys didn’t live that far away from us and it was a nice evening in Vancouver, “so, you and Owen?” Savannah questioned after a short silence, my heart rate quickened at the mention of his name, I turned to her with a confused look etched across my face,
“What?” I laughed, as we entered the boys’ apartment building and making our way up to their apartment, “I have no idea what you’re talking about” I rolled my eyes, knocking on the door lightly, the door swung open, revealing Owen smiling his award-winning smile, pushing his hair back from his face before stepping to the side, “hey O” I smile,
“Hey Petal” he said, giving me my usual nickname before pulling me in for a hug, I wrapped my arms around his waist and gave him a tight squeeze, “Hey Sav” Owen continued, letting go of me and giving Savannah a quick hug, I walked further into the apartment seeing Madi, Charlie and Jeremy all sat in the den chatting away,
“Hey Losers” I joked, sitting next to Madi, she pulled me in for a tight side hug, pulling away just as quickly before crossing her legs and settling further into the coach. Savannah swiftly joined the group alongside Owen, sitting beside me whilst Owen sat next to Jeremy.
We had been at the boys’ apartment for around an hour or two, just eating pizza and chatting, “oh guys!” Savannah spoke excitedly, shuffling in her seat comfortably,
“oh what?!” Charlie mimicked Sav’s excitement causing her to glare at him
“We should play Honest” she suggested, looking over at everyone’s confused faces towards the game suggestion “Honest? You guys, it’s self explanatory, it’s like the best game. You ask someone a question and they have to answer honestly.” she shrugged, I turned to the girl sat beside me, raising a singular eyebrow, “Y/n/n, it’s the best game. Honestly. Come on, please guys” she whined,
“I think it’ll be fun” Madison smiled enthusiastically, as always, bringing the mood up and tempting the group into the activity that Savannah had suggested, Charlie, Owen, Jeremy and I chorused a small ‘fine’ causing Savannah to squeal with excitement, reaching over my head to give Madi a high-five.
“Okay okay, I’ll go first... Madi, what’s the worst thing about filming?” Sav questioned, Madi thought about it for a second or two, her eyebrows furrowed as she chewed lightly on her lip,
“I’d say the super early mornings and really really late nights, I’m definitely not used to this new sleep schedule... um... Jeremy, what’s your favourite thing about Carolynn?” Madison smiled, “I only ask because I love seeing your face when you talk about her... it’s so cute!” Jeremy blushed and looked down at the floor for a small moment,
“Okay, I have a lot of favourite things about Carolynn but, one of the things I love most about her is her heart, she has the kindest soul, she cares about everyone she knows so deeply and she is really willing to do anything for the people she loves, she puts other people’s needs before her own and I just think it’s the most beautiful thing” Jeremy gushed, causing the girls and I to ‘aw’ at him, he was totally loved up and it was something that I could only ever wish for,
“I wish someone spoke about me like that” I said, Jeremy smiled at me before asking Savannah which show she preferred to film- Julie and the Phantoms or Knight Squad to which she answered Julie and the Phantoms, giving the reasons of being able to sing and dance and she also mentioned how she loved the closeness of the cast, saying that we were more like a family.
“Okay... Y/n, who would you date out of the boys- y’know out of Owen, Booboo, and Charlie” Savannah questioned, refusing to mention Jeremy as we all know that he would never have been an option based on the pure fact that Carolynn was his soulmate,
“Right... well,  I’d say, probably Charlie because as much as I love Boo, he’s more of an annoying brother and I’d just find it weird if we dated and Owen’s a little baby” I explained,
“Oh some I’m only your option because of process of elimination, great. Thanks y/n/n” Charlie joked, I rolled my eyes at him and looked over at Owen, I watched as his eyes lowered and his mouth turned down, he quickly faked a yawn before standing up off the couch and stretching, yawning again,
“Right, well I’m gonna head to bed, I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Night” he said shortly, promptly leaving the den and making his way to his bedroom, he quickly stole another glance at me before shaking his head and entering his room. After that, the rest of us slowly started to disperse, Madi left first, then Jeremy and then Sav and I.
I crawled into bed and stared up at my ceiling, I couldn’t fight off the feeling that I had really upset Owen, it must’ve been me, I mean he was fine all night- he was engaged, laughing, cracking his stupid jokes and then everything changed once I said that he was a baby... I didn’t really feel like that, I mean, I liked him. A lot, it’s just that I’ve never really gone for younger guys before, I always dated much older guys. But there was just something about him that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, something about him had me hooked and I couldn’t figure out whether it was a nuisance or something that I wanted to happen, all I knew is that however I was feeling, it was something beyond my control.
I just didn’t know what to do. I wouldn’t say that I was a control freak but I definitely didn’t enjoy not being able to have any type of control of what was happening in my life, I always planned on dating and marrying someone a few years older than me as that is what my mum did, my grandma did, and my great grandma. I don’t have any understanding on why I wanted to do the same as them, maybe it was because of my desperate need to impress the women in my family. They’re all successful and they always used to build up this pressure on me to be the perfect woman, I had no room for mistakes. So my falling for Owen, was not in the plan, something out of my control and quite frankly, it was driving me insane.
For the next few days, I tried to talk to Owen but no matter how hard I tried, it seemed that he was trying even harder to avoid me at all costs. “I don’t know why you would say that...” Charlie said as he sat beside me at the lunch hall, “it’s obvious you both like each other” I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the boy, scoffing
“Yeah, right” I said, rolling my eyes and picking at my food, essentially just pushing it around the plate aimlessly, a silence fell over the two of us as I peered up to see Charlie staring at me with a look on his face as if it say ‘are you serious?’
“Y/n/n... you do like him. I don’t care what you have to say and how much you’re going to deny it. You like him” he shrugged just as Savannah sat across from us
“What are you guys talking about?” She asked breathlessly as she had just finished her dancing scene, I gave her an obvious look that she immediately picked up on “ohhh, Owen?” she questioned as I nodded slowly
“I was just telling our friend here, that she likes Owen and that it’s so obvious that she does” the Canadian explained blatantly, to which Savannah agreed, informing me that it was written all over my face whenever I saw Owen, or even whenever his name was briefly mentioned.
“You’re just caught up on the fact that you want to be like your mum and date older guys. The heart wants what is wants Sweetie, and your heart just so happens to want a 20 year old with lucious blonde hair.” Savannah joked, I rolled my eyes and stood up from the table,
“I refuse to stay here any longer with you guys just talking absolutely nonsense” I replied, shortly. I looked at the two people I was previously sat with before gathering my food and quickly throwing it away as I walked past the bin. I walked out of the small lunch hall and made my way to my trailer.
“Uh.. hey y/n. Wait up” I heard a familiar voice call, Owen. I turned around and smiled up at him nervously. We hadn’t spoken in days, only having fictional conversations as our characters but after that? Strangers. “Can... can we talk?” he questioned, rubbing the back of his neck. I nodded, unable to form any kind of functioning sentence, I silently ushered him into my trailer, closing the door behind me. Owen sat on my small loveseat and patted the spot next to him which I reluctantly took.
“Uh... so what’s up?” I questioned, spluttering slightly, I placed my hands in my lap, closing them and fiddling with my thumbs- a habit I picked up in middle school, whenever I was asked a question by one of my teachers, I would twiddle my thumbs over each other in a circular motion, I wasn’t too sure whether it was something to do with my anxiety or it had links to my thinking process and to this day, I’m still unaware of what it roots to but I have never been able to wean myself off of it.
“Did you mean what you said...” the blonde boy questioned me, “y’know, about how you wouldn’t date me because I’m a baby?” I glanced up at him quickly before diverting my attention to the plain wall in front of me. I inhaled sharply when I felt Owen’s slightly calloused hand make contact with my cheek, he held on to my face lightly as he brought my eyes to meet his own “because I’m not a baby Y/n, I’m just two years younger than you, it’s not like you were in high school when I was born. You were two. I’m not a baby” he reiterated, I nodded and sighed
“Yeah O, I know... I don’t know why I said it. I regretted it the second it left my mouth. Look, ever since I was younger, I was surrounded by women who all married men older than them and my mum always told me that that is how it should be, but it doesn’t feel like that with me... yeah I’ve dated olderguys but-” I cut myself off, worried that if I let all my emotions out to Owen, he wouldn’t reciprocate and I would officially ruin the entire friendship alongside the whole cast dynamic because there would be this awkward tension between Owen and I but just times by a million.
“But what?” he pushed, his thumb running along my cheek causing me to instinctively close my eyes at the blissful feeling it was giving me, the simple touch melted away all of my anxieties “actually wait” he spoke, causing my eyes to shoot open, the anxieties to come rushing back in, I glanced up at him and furrowed my brows together “Y/n, I like you. A lot, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about anybody before. Hearing you call me a baby made me feel like you would never see me in that way, and it’s fine. Totally fine. If you don’t feel the same way but I just feel like I need to tell you everything I feel. Y/n, when I see you, everyone else just fades away. I physically can’t picture my life without you in it in any way, even if we just stay friends. I need you with me, you calm me down... so yeah” Owen said, the confidence in himself slowly fading as he continued to ramble, watching my face to see if I expressed any indication other than confusion, I slowly reached up and took a hold of his hand bringing it down in my lap and enclosing it with both of my hands.
“Owen, I like you too... that’s what I was going to say. I’ve dated a few older guys and they just never made me feel the way you do. Owen, you make me laugh so much, you make me feel protected and always cared for and I have never experienced that. Growing up, I had this pressure put on me by my mum, grandma and even my great grandmother, they all used to tell me that ‘dating older men is the way it should be’ and that’s all I thought of, I never thought that a younger guy would come along and sweep me off my feet but you did Owen Patrick Joyner, you really did and I can’t keep denying my feelings for you to everyone and especially to myself.” I breathed out, looking up at Owen with tears welling in my eyes just threatening to spill, Owen abruptly yet gently grabbed my face pulling me in close to him, his lips ghosted over my own as he let out a shaky breath
“You’re all I’ve ever wanted” he said before he pressed his lips to mine in a passionate kiss, I could feel butterflies erupt in my stomach at the feeling of his soft lips on mine, one of his hands moved from the side of my face to the base of my neck, pulling me in closer and deepening to kiss, my hands traced up his arms and draped themselves over his shoulders, toying with the ends of his hair.
This. This felt right, this was how it was supposed to feel. Electrifying, loving and passionate. I never thought I’d fall for someone younger but here he was, Owen. My baby love.

It’s gonna be okay..
Our entire group just looked at each other. What just happened? Whatever Charlie’s phone call had been about.. it could not have been good. I wonder if I should go after him.. Then again, Emma is here too shouldn’t she go after him to make sure if he’s okay? Or should we just leave him alone for a second? No one really says anything and I’m guessing we’re all wondering the same thing.. “So.. eh. Should someone go check on him or..?” I then ask. They all just look at me. “What? Was that dumb question or something?” Emma speaks up “No Y/N, it isn’t.. I think we all think you should go check on him..” “Are you sure? I don’t..” I begin but Emma cuts me off “Yeah I’m sure. For some reason I think I would only make things worse right now.” “Right.. and he’ll accept a whole lot more from you than from the rest of us.” Madi then adds “ehh okay..” I say while sharing a look with Emma just to make sure it is really okay if I go. When she gives me a quick nod I get up and walk in the direction Charlie stormed of too..
I try giving him a call to maybe see if he’ll pick up and tell me where he is but he doesn’t answer. I go to check his bedroom but there’s no sign of him there, after checking the entire campground without any success I’m suddenly remembered of the lake Jeremy brought us to last year maybe he went there? When I make my way out of the tiny forest I see Charlie sitting there looking out over the water. I stop in my tracks for a second, debating whether I should go up to him or not. My heart tells me I should go up to him to at least give him a good hug and I decide to listen to that. I silently make my way over to him. “Just leave me alone. please..” he says, the sad sound of his voice breaking my heart. I turn around to walk away but something is stopping me, I can’t walk away from him not when he’s feeling like this.. so even though I know I may regret it, I turn back around and sit down next to him. As soon as I sit down I notice the fact that tears had been rolling over his cheeks, making my heart break even more for him and I instantly pull him into a very tight hug. “Sorry Charlie. I can’t..” I just tell him softly. The fact that he puts his arms around me and hugs me back so tight I can barely breath tells me it’s okay that I’m there. I can feel Charlie begin to shake and as he buries his face into my neck I soon feel my neck and shoulder getting wet with tears. “hey , hey .. it’s okay.. I don’t know what’s going but it’s gonna be okay.. I got you.” I calmly talk to him slowly running one hand up and down his back to comfort him while the other arm holds him tight. We just sit there like that for what seems to be hours and that’s completely fine I’ll sit here with him, like this, until he calms down enough to get back to camp with me. I don’t care if it take days, I’m not letting him go. After a while he seems to calm down and I slowly try to move back a bit to look at him but Charlie tightens his grip on me and just mumble whispers a: “no.” without any hesitation i just hug him tightly again “I’m not going anywhere Charlie don’t worry.. We can stay here as long as you want okay?”
What has gotten this boy so upset? Who had called him and what did they say? I was so used to Charlie always being happy, cheerful and positive through everything. I never even imagined I would ever see him like this.. I found myself getting sad just by how sad he was and the fact that I desperately wanted to make him feel better but I had no clue how was making me feel frustrated.. Charlie must have felt me tense up cause now it’s him running his hand up and down my back to calm me down. “It’s okay y/n” he whispers. “No it isn’t Charlie.. What’s wrong? What just happened..” I say softly while still sitting there hugging each other tightly. “It’s nothing. Don’t worry about me nugget.” I can tell he tries his best to make me believe it. I let out a deep sigh “Charlie please just talk to me..” I feel him shake his head in the crook of my neck. “Charlie, please.” I say more firm this time. “You can’t keep this all to yourself.. let me be there for you..” I then say in the same soft tone as before.
Another long silence and just sitting there holding each other follows before eventually Charlie speaks up. “It’s my parents..” I wait for him to continue but he doesn’t. “What about them? Are they okay?” I ask him. He sighs and then let’s go of me so he can look at me, the look on his face breaks my heart all over again. “They uh.. they haven’t had the best relationship over the last few years.. me and my siblings were well aware of that you know but every fight always got made up again and then things would be okay for a little while before it got bad again.. but like I said it has been like that for years.. we we’re used to it. In a strange way it was all sort of okay? but now..” He falls silent as I see a few more tears forming in his eyes, I reach out to touch his arm in a sort of comforting manner and give him an empathetic look. “Now that’s all gonna change.. they’re getting a divorce.. and I.. I’m gonna have to live with my mom.. cause you know my dad is gone for work a lot.. but my mom wants to find a completely new place somewhere else .. And I just..” his voice breaks as during all that the tears started falling again. I pull him close to me just hugging him not sure what to say, I felt so bad for him. His entire life had changed in the span of one phone call.. “I’m so sorry.. I.. I don’t really know what to say.. thank you for telling me though, you shouldn’t go trough things like this alone Chewie. I mean obviously you have your siblings but you gotta let people in sometimes.. it’s okay to not be okay and share that..” he lets out the smallest laugh “Did you just call me Chewie?” “yeah.. I’ve been nugget for a year now and I’ve been thinking about a nickname for you.. this one just came out? Sorry?” I can feel myself starting to blush, but the fact it gave him a reason to let out a small laugh makes me happy. He slowly makes his way out of my arms and looks at me with a serious face “No don’t apologize, Chewie Charlie.. it has a nice ring to it. And thank you for making me tell you Nugget.. I really tend to keep things for myself, I don’t want to bother anyone else with my struggles or sadness I’d rather be happy and positive you know. but it’s gonna be nice to have someone to talk to about this..” “Please know you can always talk to me.. You’re not bothering me by telling me you’re not feeling okay. We’re friends, right Char? to me that means having fun but also and maybe even more so being there when things aren’t so fun..” “Yeah no. to me too. And I am that friend to others, I just..” he sighs and falls silent. “You just don’t want to use that part of friendship from others?” I finish his sentence for him. “yeah exactly..” I nod at that “I get that you know.. I feel the same way.. Shall we make a deal? A deal to use each other’s part of that friendship?” “Yeah.. I like that deal.. I’ll make that deal with you Nugget.” I smile at him “Good. It’s settled then Chewie.” He laughs at that. “There’s that laugh I know and love. Hey do you think you’re ready to get back to the rest? Or do you want to stay here a little longer?” I ask him.
“Well.. as much as I love sitting here with you. We should probably get back I bet they’re wondering where we are.. Oh god I bet Emma is freaking out about us sneaking off..” he let’s out a sigh at that realization. “Uhm. Yeah, about that.. I don’t think so.. It was actually her idea that I would go after you and the others agreed so.. We’re not being sneaky if that’s what you think.” He seems surprised about that. “She what? Really? I did not expect that.. still we should go back though I don’t want them to get worried.. but can we keep this whole thing between us for now?” I grab his hand and stand up “Of course. I’m not gonna tell anyone. Come on Chewie.” He gets up and still holding my hand we walk back to the campground it’s only when we get there that I realize we’re still holding hands and I quickly let go of it. Not that it meant anything but that’s obviously not what others would think. Once we get back to our group Emma is the first one to fly over to Charlie to embrace him in a hug and kiss his cheek. I pick up on a quick are you okay from her side and a yeah thank you from Charlie’s side. The others then soon stand up to give Charlie a big hug as well. It turns into a group hug with Charlie in the middle and I just stand there taking it all in, that is until I get pulled into that hug as well by Owen. “You should be a part of this too” he just simply states. The rest of the day goes by somewhat normally. Charlie went back to his ‘I’m-always-happy-self’ which I know isn’t how he’s actually feeling but maybe the him just going along with everything is actually a nice distraction of the whole situation.
Later that night I’m chilling with the boys while Charlie and Emma are spending some time together she was now getting the news of what’s going on.. “soo.. Is Charlie okay?” Jeremy asks me. “He seemed to be okay when you two came back” Owen says. “Well.. I think he will be okay. you know what he’s like.. finding a way to turn everything into something positive..” I tell them. “yeah you’re right.. You we’re gone for quite a while though? Was it that bad? Was he mad at you for coming after him?” Owen asks. I sigh, I’m glad they’re not asking super specific questions Charlies story isn’t mine to tell at all “Well.. He wasn’t mad although he told me to leave him alone at first. In the end it was all good though. We talked and laughed and that’s how he got ready to come back to the group.” “Did he tell you what was going on?” Jer then asks me. “Yeah he did..” I simply state not going any further into detail. I see Owen and Jeremy share a look before looking at me with a smile. “What?” I ask. “You, really are something special aren’t you?” Owen states. When I just give then a confused look Owen explains “Charlie is not a talker. I mean he is a talker, but when it’s very personal, when It’s something that comes close to his own feelings? He doesn’t talk. He’ll pretend everything is fine. We’ve been his friend for like 7 years but he always refused to talk. And then you come in and suddenly he’s a real talker..” for some reason that makes me blush.. “Well .. I don’t know. I may have pushed him a bit, I don’t think.. “ Jer interrupts me “You don’t think we’ve tried pushing him? This is all you Y/N. You apparently have this thing Charlie needs to really truly open up.” “Well. IF that’s true. Then I’m glad. No one should walk around keeping everything to themselves. Anyway.. I’m actually pretty tired so I’m gonna go to bed okay? Wish Emma and Charlie a goodnight for me?” I say while getting up and hugging Jer and Owen goodnight. “We will! Goodnight Y/N!”
When I’m in bed I hear my phone buzz shortly, I pick it up and see Charlie messaged me. “Are you okay Nugget? Going to bed that early doesn’t seem very youuu.” Reading that makes me smile “Yeah, I’m okay. Sorry I was really tired, it was a bit of an intense day I guess? Are you okay?” “Yeah I’m pretty tired too actually.” That answers my question.. Him not answering my question tells me enough. “Are you still up?” I ask him. “ “Yeah, I’m on my way to our sleeping building though. why?” I don’t even hesitate for a second and silently get out of my bed again I make my way out of our room to the entrance of the building we sleep in. When I spot Charlie I literally run towards him he opens his arms for me and I run into them pulling him into a hug. “What are you doing up, you dork?” “You didn’t answer my question Charlie. Which told me you needed a hug.” He lets out a small laugh “Wow. You’re getting good at this whole REALLY knowing me thing.” He says while letting go of me a smile growing on his face when he notices my Rush t-shirt. “Weeeell, SOMEONE decided to let me in today. The thing is Charlie, once you let me in it’s very hard to get rid of me and very hard to hide things from me. “ “Good. Cause I don’t want you to go anywhere Nugget.” I smile at him. “So do you want to talk about it or?” “Nahh not now anyway, we should go to bed. Thanks for coming out to hug me though. I did need that.” “You’re very welcome Chewie, going to bed without a hug felt wrong anyway. Now we’re all good.” I say jokingly while actually being totally serious. That hug before bed did genuinely make a difference it made me feel safe and peaceful before going to bed. I loved it. But he didn’t need to know that though.
The next day everything seems to be back to normal. Well.. Emma isn’t sitting next to Charlie that’s different.. but I’m sure that means nothing right? they don’t have to be stuck together all the time.. plus they both seem to be in pretty okay moods so I’m guessing everything is fine. I can’t let my thoughts dive into that situation too much though because the head camp councilors are trying to get our attention. They tell us that today we’ll be cycling through the neighborhood playing some games and at the end will be doing a survival run. I’m not gonna lie, the survival run gets me nervous.. I’m not the best at sports. Now that in itself has never been a problem at least not with this group.. but at school, sports was basically the time where I felt most insecure, I would always get picked last, people we’re annoyed if I had to be on their team and for some reason I was afraid that would happen today. That I would hold my group back big time, that I would be clumsy and not be able to do half of the things afraid that I would feel like I was dying after one obstacle.. and through all that afraid I would just annoy my group of friends. I find myself starting to think about different excuses as to why I would not be able to do the survival run. Maybe I’ll just pretend to fall and hurt my ankle? My mind keeps running in full speed panic mode for a while until Charlie snaps me out of it.
“Hey, you okay?” he asks me sort of quietly “Yeah, yeah I’m fine. Why?” That obviously was a total lie and Charlie knew that too. He gives me a really? Kind of look and just says “Remember our deal?.” I sigh he wasn’t gonna give this up and I knew that. “I remember. Trust me, I’m okay. I’ll tell you what’s up later okay?” He agrees and as soon as we’re on our bikes I find Charlie and tell him honestly about the thoughts I had that morning and about where those thoughts are coming from. He never says a word and just hums every now and then to let me know he’s listening and understands what I’m saying. When I fall silent Charlie speaks up “You do realize we would never do that you right? I would never let anyone do that to you.” “yeah I know that. But it still get’s me nervous. Not that I think you’ll be mean but maybe just that I can’t do it. And that you’ll all fly through it super easily.. “ Charlie just shakes his head “Y/N! stop that. Stop thinking like that. You can totally do it! and we’re supposed to be a team so that means helping each other out! It’s gonna be fun. Trust me. Get out of that pretty head of yours and just enjoy today. “ Totally missing the fact that he called me pretty I instantly have my defense ready “but..” that’s all I can say before he cuts me off again “No. no buts. We’re gonna enjoy this, you can do this. I’m happy to have you on my team and I promise to not leave you behind I’m gonna help you out if that’s needed okay? Just calm down.. Please.” I let out a deep sigh, “Fine. Trusting you on this one Gillespie.” He let’s out a laugh. “That’s better.”
So far the whole day actually is fun but when the obstacle run comes up I noticeably take a deep breath. Charlie comes up to me, looks me in my eyes and just says ; “ You got this Nugget.” Some obstacles end up being insanely high and while Charlie basically flies over them he always comes back for me, the entire group is ready to help me out and we actually end up having a lot of fun. I felt like I was dying, I was totally out of breath, I felt incredibly clumsy but it was good. All my fears had been for nothing, sure I wasn’t good at this but the way my friends dealt with this , the way Charlie dealt with this made it all okay. When we get to the finish I just fall down in the grass, totally feeling dead after giving it my all. My entire group just follows my lead, Charlie falling down next to me. “see. Told you, you could do it. You gave it your all and did so good! You can be proud of yourself.” Madison picks up on that and adds “Yessss. You totally killed it! Well doneee Y/N!” I cant help but smile “Thanks guys. Really. I would not have gotten here if it wasn’t for you.” And I wasn’t just talking about making it to this finish. Those people had each in their own way had such a positive impact on my life, I would not be where I am now if it wasn’t for them.. On the way back to camp I find myself next to Sacha we’re just talking about what he thinks of the camp so far and end up playing a weird game whoever can get the most people to say hi back to them. The fact that we’re riding next to each other and with that greeting the same people and with that getting the same Hi’s doesn’t seem to matter. We’re having a bit of fun and having some bonding time which maybe helps others sort of believe that I’m actually liking Sacha even though I’ve been spending a crazy amount of time with Charlie.. I was just 100% lost in Charlies world and basically forgot about the fact I was supposed to not be doing that, almost forgot I had planned on hiding my feelings from everyone somewhere way down deep. But how could I if he was being so cute and sweet and supporting and incredibly good looking? He was just not making it THAT easy..
When it became late in the evening me and the girls were just chilling on our beds all pretty tired from the long and active day we had. “Soo.. You and Sacha seem to be getting along pretty well.” Sav hints at me. “I mean.. Yeah he’s nice, talented and just overall an easy going person. What’s there not to like or not to get along with?” “Yeah I can see that. He’s a cool guy!” Jadah agrees with me. “Sooo, will you be asking him out on a date then?” Emma asks me. I for some reason did not see that one coming. “I ehh.. I.. I don’t know? I mean I’m just getting to know him I don’t think I should ask him something like that just yet you know?” Mads who also sleeps in a top bunkbed just gives me a look not buying this whole ‘I like Sacha-thing’ for one bit. “Really? I think you should give it a try, seems to me like he’s having a good time with you!” Emma encourages me. “I don’t know Em.. I really don’t think we’re quite ready for that yet.” “No I think Emma is right y/n! Maybe just ask him to hang out at the end of the week!” Jadah says. “I think you should go for it Y/N” Savannah adds to that. “I mean yeah, maybe at the end of the week I’ll ask him to just hang out. I can do that.” Just that earns me a few cheers from the girls. It’s lovely that they’re rooting for me and encouraging me to go for it especially since they think I like him, and I do as a friend but I don’t want to go out dating him.. that would not be fair to Sacha at all. Thankfully the topic of boys is dropped pretty quickly only to move on to talking about our celebrity crushes.. I was missing my late nights with Charlie.. but I wasn’t gonna lie just a night like this with the girls was actually very fun as well. I fell asleep as a very happy girl that night.
Waking up the next morning I’m actually well rested and in a good mood, instead of my sort of grumpy still half dead morning self. It’s quite early and everyone still seems to be asleep, I get out of my bed, freshen up and make my way outside. The sun is shining and I’m greeted by birds singing their morning songs, while taking a deep breath I just sit down and take in the peaceful scene. Not long after I hear some footsteps behind me which is soon followed by two arms being thrown around me from behind. Without even actually seeing who it was I just know it’s him.. “Good morning Charlie.” “Morning Nugget! You sound incredibly awake for this hour of day.” he jokes in his morning voice as he sits down next to me. “Right?! A certain someone did not keep me up till 4 am last night. look at the difference that makes!” I tease him right back. his face now showing an over acted offended look “Hey! No need to get all mean about it. I thought you loved those Late nights with Gillespie.” I let out a laugh “Late nights with Gillespie? You’re gonna have to work on that name dude..” “Oof. You really have it out for me today ey?” “Sorry. In all seriousness though. you are gonna have to work on that name, it sounds..questionable. But I do love those late nights yeah and I may or may not have missed spending that time with you..” I softly bump into him after saying that. “Sooo…. Late nights with Gillespie is on again for tonight?” he asks in a playful tone. I just look at him for a second “IF you stop calling it that. Then yes.” I laugh. “ Coool. Team no sleep is back! but first, join me for breakfast?” He says as he gets up and holds out his hand for me. I had not noticed the fact that now the entire camp had woken up and were all making their way to breakfast.. I smile up at Charlie and take his hand to let him help me up.
When we get to breakfast our group is already there as Charlie makes his way over to Emma to give her a good morning kiss Emma quickly turns her head so the kiss lands on her cheek. They share a quick look but don’t say anything. Something wasn’t right between them I was sure about that now, there’s a hint of pain and confusion in Charlie’s eyes and sadness in Emma’s.. I know it’s their problem, I know I should stay out of it, I know it’s none of my business but I couldn’t help feeling like I should fix it. Feeling like I should help them out in some way.. so after breakfast I go up to Emma, not sure of what I actually want to do or say..
“Hey Em.. Can we talk for a second?” I just ask her and she agrees following me to the spot where we had been talking earlier that week. “What’s up Y/N?” she asks as soon as we sat down. “I eh.. I guess I just wanted to make sure you we’re doing okay?” She sighs and is silent for a second , it looks as if she’s debating on what to say so I just give her the time and space to think. “Well.. I was gonna say yes but I have the feeling you know that is not true so.. no not really.” I nod “Yeah I uhh couldn’t help pick up on a few signs.. Want to talk to me about what’s wrong?” “I don’t even really know..” she sounds sad when saying that. “What is it that you don’t know? would I be wrong if I said there might be something going on with you and Charlie?” she lets out a small laugh “of course you picked up on that..” I decide to ignore that comment and stay silent in hopes that she will continue and luckily she does “listen before I get into this. I know I’m handling it all wrong okay? So you know the whole situation Charlie is dealing with right? I knew his parents were fighting every now and then but not as much as they apparently were he never talked to me about those things and that kind of annoys me? Why is he keeping all those things from me? I’m his girlfriend shouldn’t I know everything? I just want to be there for him.. but it’s like he won’t let me? And the fact he’s gonna move and neither of us know where makes me scared I will end up losing him and I think that fear is making me push him away already? And I don’t want to do that but I do? But he’s also just letting that happen?” I take a deep breath trying to collect my thoughts. I can see why she’s scared of losing him and I can understand that she wants to know what he’s going through but at the same time I want to yell at her all angry for only making Charlie hurt more than he already is in his current situation.. I try to calmly get my point across “Have you tried just talking to him about everything yet? You can’t expect him to understand what you want and need if you don’t tell him.. just denying some kisses is not gonna tell him anything ems.. and yes. You’re his girlfriend so even though you may be scared, he’s the one that needs your support right now. Give that to him. Don’t make this harder on him than it already is..” I see her swallow “I don’t.. “ she begins but I stop her. “You do know how. Talk to him. TODAY.” She shakes her head “I’m leaving later today and I still have to pack and..” I once again interrupt her. “Stop that. You’re talking to him now. I’m gonna go look for Charlie. I will send him here, and you will talk to him.” I see a glance of panic in her eyes. “Calm down you got this. Just be honest with him.” I walk off and quickly find Charlie “Hey nugget..” before saying anything I pull him in for a quick hug. “Hey, uhh you should go talk to Emma..” I see his eyes widen a bit, making me realize he’s probably expecting the worst now.. “No don’t worry. It’s gonna be okay. she just has to let you in on a few things.. You’ll be okay I promise.” I give him one last hug before sending him off in Emma’s direction. I just hoped this conversation would go well and Charlie would feel a bit better soon..
There’s no sign of either of them for several hours and even though I wanted to go look for Charlie, making sure he’s okay I didn’t. They needed this time together and I had to give it to them. To distract myself from it all I found the rest of the group that were just playing some games and jamming out to some music and that helped. They really were the best kind of distraction. Late in the afternoon Charlie and Emma find us again both looking a lot happier, they’re holding hands and Charlie is holding some of Emma’s bags in his other hand. When they reach us Charlie tells Emma he’ll bring her bags to the car giving Emma some space to say goodbye to all of us. As soon as I stand up she pulls me in for a hug. “Thank you Y/N. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much you’ve just helped me. You’re a good friend. I’ll be missing you. “ I smile at the big difference between this moment now and this moment last year. “No problem ems. I’m glad we got to know each other and actually became friends. And hey, I’m only a face time call away!” I let go of her and she says goodbye to the rest of the group too. Then I see her and Charlie sharing a good goodbye kiss. That view makes me smile, it’s not that I liked seeing him kiss her, not at all.. but I loved seeing him more happy. That’s all I wanted, I wanted him to be happy.
Once it became ‘late night with Gillespie’ o’clock, Charlie and me found ourselves in the middle of that same field as a few nights before. At first we just sit there but Charlie soon decides to lie down. “Come here?” he asks holding his hand out for me, I take it and he pulls me closer to him into a hug. “I don’t know what you did today. I don’t know what you did to Emma, but thank you. You’re a lifesaver Nugget.” He says softly. “I didn’t do anything Charlie.. I just kind of pushed her into talking to you.. I hated seeing you both be sad..” I just lie there Charlie’s arm around me, my head on his chest hearing his steady heartbeat. Usually that sound creeps me out, but now it’s the most calming thing in the world. Out of nowhere I feel a quick and soft kiss on the top of my head. “I wouldn’t call that nothing. Thank you, just please accept me being thankful.” I’m speechless for a second, overwhelmed by the amount of butterflies in my stomach. Suddenly I’m very aware of how we’re laying there and suddenly I feel like we shouldn’t be.. I wiggle my way out of his grip only to lie my head back down on his stomach. That for some reason feels less wrong and still gives me the chance to be close to him. “Fine then. You’re welcome.” I say. He let’s out a laugh and starts to, what feels like braid my hair. After a comfortable silence Charlie speaks up again “Soo, how are things with you and Sacha?” Well I’m here trying to get as close to you as possible without it being wrong.. how do you think it’s going? Is what I would like to say to him but instead I say: “Oh eh, I don’t know? He’s nice, we’re able to have fun he’s incredibly talented..” “But you don’t like him like that?” that answer makes me choke on my own breath. “What? What makes you say that?” he laughs “You okay there nugget? I just think you deserve better than someone who’s nice and talented and I think you would sound a whole lot different if you really liked him like that. I’ve heard you fangirl, I know what you sound like when you love someone..” “oh. Right. well I think you may have a point there. The girls were all telling me I should ask him out on a date but I feel like that wouldn’t be fair to him.” “If you don’t like him don’t do it. You deserve the absolute best in this world Y/N. Don’t ever go for anything that wouldn’t make you a 100% happy.” “Thanks Chewie. That’s actually some good advice.” He gasps “Actually some good advice?! You make me sound like I’m the worst.” I laugh “You know that’s not what I meant! You know I think you’re far from that..” “oh? I don’t know nugget I think you need to remind me again” He teases. “You sure about that? We could be here a while you know.” “I mean I would like to be here a while but you don’t have to remind me. I know.” “Well. Actually. I do still have to thank you for that whole survival thing. You literally got me through that Charlie. You’ve been getting me through a whole lot.. I actually may have to admit that I think you’re the best..” “Ahh thanks Nugget. I don’t want to ruin this braid I’m making but I would have hugged you otherwise..” I laugh “You enjoying braiding my hair Gillespie?” “Actually yes, there’s something strangely calming about it. I can’t promise you it will look good though..” “That’s fine by me.” We lie there a little longer just talking about all kinds of things until Charlie runs out of hair to braid and we agree on calling it a night.
After a short 3 hours of sleep the last full day of camp has arrived. I was not gonna lie that realization made me a bit sad, I was not ready to let go of all those people again. I just lie in my bed smiling at the sight of Mads, Sav and Jadah waking up. “What are you smiling about Y/L/N?” Jadah asks me. “I’m guessing it’s Charlie.” Mads just blurts out. This girl really had been waiting for the second Emma left so she could be real with me again huh? “Nooooo. Actually it’s not. Not Charlie or Sacha either. I just was enjoying the not waking up alone for that last time.” As I get up the girls burst out in laughter. “Oof your hair.. Looking gooood Y/N” Sav jokes. I’m confused for a second only to then remember what Charlie had done.. “Oooh. Yes.. Right forgot about that..” “See. Called it. It was Charlie.” Mads teases. I groan at her while taking the braids out of my hair not that doing that made my hair look any better. I guess today I was gonna go for lion mane instead normal human hair.. When arriving to breakfast I sit down next to Charlie. “Morning Y/N. I like your hair today.” He jokes “Oh shut up Gillespie. This is all your fault.” That fact only makes him laugh. I try to keep a straight face but how can I when he’s laughing like that? I can’t help but smile with him and just embrace the hair.
The rest of the day was mainly focused on playing games that would decide who the best group on camp was that week but since our group had no chance of winning that title anyway we just chilled. We watched the other groups play their games while we we’re singing them random songs. At some point Charlie sat down behind me and told me to lean back against his legs once I did that I felt his hands on my shoulders and the back of neck, this boy casually decided on giving me a massage. I don’t know why he did it. He didn’t say anything and neither did I. We just sat there like that for a good while still singing some songs as I felt myself relax more and more under Charlie’s touch, I apparently had been super tense without even realizing it.. When i locked eyes with Madison for a second she just shoots me a ‘I KNEW IT!” kind of look. I smile at her, deciding to ignore it and close my eyes purely focusing on the things Charlie was doing and let me tell you, I fully enjoyed all those things and I found myself thinking about how he could totally do this more often if he wanted to..
But then Charlie’s phone rings, he gently pushes me forward a tiny bit so he can get up and take this call. Not long after he returns, his face tells me it wasn’t the best phone call he had ever gotten. “You alright?” I ask when he’s sat down beside me. “Yeah.. eh the moving thing is just happening a lot sooner than I thought.. I’ll be on your bus tomorrow we’re staying with my grandma for a while and she lives somewhat close to you..” “oh.. That’s unexpected.. I’m sorry it’s all happening so fast now Charlie..” he sighs “yeah me too..” from that moment on we all silently agreed on basically just ignoring that fact for now. Charlie and Sacha spent some more time jamming Owen joins them drumming on random things, Jer joins in on me and the girls conversation and this how we spend our time until dinner.
After dinner the tradition of staying up all night begins. We end up playing 30 seconds again this time though we’re playing with mixed teams I’m in a team with Madi, Savannah and Charlie playing against Jadah, Sacha , Owen and Jeremy. I, already being tired, am cuddled up against Charlie which he seems to be fine with and no one else seems to question either. Owen and Savannah are once again screaming at each other over every little thing and the rest of us are just having fun with it. The night flies by like that until it’s time to go and watch the sunrise we agreed to make that our own little group tradition. The entire night I never left Charlie’s side and now sitting here on by the little lake that does not change he actually just hugs me closer to him and when he feels me shiver from the cold he takes of his hoodie and offers it to me. “are you sure?” I ask him. “Yes nugget. you’re cold. put it on.” I gladly obey to that order, as soon as I’m wearing the hoodie he pulls me close again. “You know what. It looks good on you nugget.” By the way he whispers that to me I can tell he’s incredibly tired as well. And I can’t blame him for that he’s had a crazy week.. “Might be keeping it then Gillespie.” I tease him. “Ha. In your dreams Y/L/N. It’s my favorite. I’ll make sure to pack it again next year though. I promise.” We then fall silent again just enjoying each other’s company in this beautiful piece of nature watching the world slowly come to life again.
We then quickly pack our bags and say our goodbyes, we agree on figuring out a way to all meet up some time during the year so we won’t have to miss everyone for THAT long. After giving everyone a last hug and wave Charlie and me get on the bus. “I guess this is one positive to me living with my grandma.. maybe we can now actually hang out sometime instead of always face timing?” He sounds hopeful. “Yeah I would like that. I promised you everything would be okay.. I’ll do what I can to make that come true. The occasional real life hug might help?” “Thanks nugget. You’re the best.” without even thinking about it I rest my head on his shoulder. “Anytime.” I tell him while closing my eyes. I feel him resting his head on top of mine and within minutes we both fall asleep like that..
